Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp was whinging, Tottenham players were whinging, and their fans have been having a good old go too.
The press reckon Howard Webb has gifted us the title and that Manchester United always get the rub of the green. Ignoring the fact we were denied a place in the FA Cup final thanks to Mike “Manchester United fan” Riley failing to award a nailed on penalty at Wembley, Tottenham don’t have much place to complain where refereeing decisions when playing us are concerned!
1. Cristiano Ronaldo was fouled in the penalty area during the League Cup final. Ledley King embarrassingly applauded referee Chris Foy for booking Ronaldo, knowing full well he should have conceded a penalty. What goes around comes around eh, you cheating bastard.
2. The final score could have been a lot more humiliating had Howard Webb made the right decision with just six minutes played on Saturday. It would be interesting to see how Spurs would have got on with ten men for 83 minutes at Old Trafford.

Man Utd News 24/7

Spot on. Now the ABUs can fuck off.
Is your website visited by so few people that you have to bait Spurs fans to get traffic?
I wish he had made contact and ended Ronaldo’s fucking career
Hahahahaha
they may argue that he missed Ron, so not a red.but atleast a yellow
Pedro Mendes, u cheating bstrds!!!
not exactly a bigger decision is it?
I went 2 the match and fair play you derserved to win, but surely u can see why spurs r upset with the penalty decision
Love the Harry Slime Theme soundtrack. Great Vid. May have to direct my brother towards it. Brilliant!
Fact remains that penalty was the turning point, you want to be a petty fan and pick out other incidents from the past, what about John oshea not being sent off in the final, Ferguson knew he should havebeen off thats wy e brought him offf himself. Or if you would like i can go back further like a certain ball that went over the line, or my personal favourite Mike Riley giving a penalty against Taricco a few years back when he fouled someone about 4 yards outside the area. Would you like me to start listing decisions that have benefited you not involving Tottenham.
Whether you want to believe it or not, Refs for some reason (mostly because of Fergusons backlash) are scared to give decisions against united or look to give them decisions.
Cheating Bastard? You must be talking about Roy Carroll, the biggest ever Utd cheat!
We got the decision when Sg Wilson went two footed on one of the red bastards so fair enough.
I still think we would have lost, even if the penalty wasn’t given. Utd’s attacking was going to be too much.
Wazza it’s the intention that matters for me. Cristiano’s skill saved him here but if it had been someone like Carrick we could have been talking about a new Eduardo. This tackle is out of place even for prison football. And the fact that this has been kept quiet be the media is disgusting.Does someoe have to break his leg for good for them to care?As i said yesterday, this will encourage the likes of Pogatetz to try the same when we go there.United should have taken the bastard to the FA,plain and simpe.Rooney gets 3 games for touching Ben Haim’s cheek and this lunatic gets away with crap like this.
The penalty WAS the turning point of the game whithout a shadow of a doubt. Spurs lost concentration because of it and gifted the other 4. Also for the second goal Modric was fouled and Berbie was offside. Yes Spurs player was luckey to stay on the pitch but how many freekicks around the spurs area were actually fouls.
Wazza – Ronaldo was sented for a one-footed lunge on derby day a few years ago. He made no contact with the player but was sent off regardless. Believe me, there was nobody arguing that it was a harsh decision.
Dave – are you seriously saying you would prefer to have gone down to ten men on 6 minutes than concede a second half penalty? Of COURSE Webb missed the bigger decision.
nb. To the masses of Spurs fans who keep posting they wish Palacios had broken the leg of the best player in the World, your comments will continue to be spammed straight away. Football fans? Pathetic.
Yes Biggie at least we had the balls to admit that as well as the Webb penalty.I wouldn’t expcect the same from you about Palacios.
Surely can the FA do anything retrospectively against Palacios? He they banned him for three games that would send out a message that these types of “challenges” are simply not acceptable?
Mate, you’ve got issues!
“Tottenham don’t have much place to complain where refereeing decisions when playing us are concerned!”
Lets forget the blinding save Gomes made for a second shall we. What amazed me is that the match officials managed to see the ball go a few cm’s across the line for Utd’s 4th goal yet managed to miss Mendes’ goal that went 4 foot over – because of that we missed out on Champions League and because of Webbs decision on Saturday you’ll probably win the title!
Bringing up the Ledley tackle is really clutching at straws. If you think that that was as stonewall as either the Gomes or Mendes issues, you need to frequent your GP alot more often.
Tottenham should not have let in 4 goals after the diabolical decision. However it seems obvious to me you’ve never actually played in any form of competitive match before! Look at the psychology of it for a second. 2-0 up against arguably the best team in the world, virtually controlling the game on their turf. Players giving their utmost in concentration thinking happy days we’re doing to beat them here. Then through no fault of your own, one of the best teams on the planet are given a lifeline! Trust me mate, even Jesus Christ would have struggled to not have been miffed by that. It shouldn’t work like this but your game does go to pot. The game’s not played in theory though is it!
You have a great team up there mate, you don’t need refereeing decisions to help you at Old Trafford. The whole world knows that it happens not just Rafa and Harry!
Man Utd always lucky with referees vs Spurs,
1- Mendes/Carroll
2- Ronaldo at WHL (4-0) when it was 0-0 just seconds before half time then the referee again let Scholes do THREE dirty tackles before subs ( as Ferguson took usual alarm by referee as he did with O’Shea ) ..
3- you won 1-0 Nani goal there were two penalty kick claims with one clear against Rio Ferdinand hand as he made Schmeichel type of saves.
4- Shocking to see you talking about Ronaldo-King situation in CC final, because earlier it should be red Card for O’Shea for dirty tackle for Modric – who already made other 2 challenges and booked. If you played with 10 men, the whole game could change.
5- Now Carrick Penalty.
let’s remember Santini words, i doubted it when i read it in the past, but now looks true 110% .
It was a spot on decision by refree Webb. If the keeper is going head to head with the striker, he must catch the ball and if didnt then he had commited a foul. This is a gamble that every keeper must be aware and for that matter Harry R and his players were dead wrong in accusing the refree.
WHAT EVERYONE MUST KNOW/RECOGNISE first is the fact that the PENALTY WAS A RIGHT DECISION REGARDING FIFA FOOTBALL RULES, where there is (beside others) stated THAT: “SINCE THE GOALIE IS FIRST AT BALL, NO FOUL WILL BE GIVEN”. The FACT (do you read this, you FAT SPANISH WAITER – FACT, F.A.C.T.) is, Michael´s touch at ball was the first … no matter what happened then !!!
So, these are the rules everyone should be looking at !!! PENALTY WAS COMPLETELY JUSTIFIED, DONE & DUSTED !!!
” It was a spot on decision by refree Webb ”
agreed, as it’s Man Utd rules.
this shocking comments considering the fact the referee himself admited it was wrong decision. The F.A, Graham Poll also said it and you are saying he was right ?! :S
“hey may argue that he missed Ron, so not a red.but atleast a yellow”
The Spurs man had every intention of severely hurting a UTD player. Whether he made contact or not is totally immaterial. A red card should have been shown immediately. Webb is surely a Spurs fan. If Webb thought it was a penalty, why wasn’t Gomez sent off? Cos Webb is a Spurs fan.
So in spite of giving Spurs a 2 goal lead, and having a ref. who was for Spurs all the way, UTD still managed to give them a drubbing.
And why the crap and nonsence from Harry? – he had to come up with an excuse when Levy asks him why he let the game slip after he’d been telling everyone that his team of thugs were going to get something from the game.
Well they did get something – a walloping.
“Surely can the FA do anything retrospectively against Palacios?”
Bring back the system they had in the past when each offence was judged on its merits. That lunge deserved a 10 game ban. Nothing less. Thugs like Palacios should be aware that that sort of behaviour is NOT acceptable.
And isn’t it interesting that the Spurs fans find nothing wrong with play like that.
Pathetic arseholes that they are.
….going further on my comment about Sgt Wilson.
It is true that he should have been sent off, there is no place for two footed challenges in football. It doesn’t really matter who it is against, even Craig Bellamy.
Shocking tackle, should be issued with a ban for that kind of behavior.
Regarding the ref’s decision, what’s going on with all this insane debate about Webbs decision? If it wasn’t a penalty it was very close; Carrick touches the ball to the left, Gomez seems to get finger tips to it and at the same time goes through the player. Might not have been a penalty but I’ve seen hundreds given for a lot less. These decisions are rife within football and to claim the decision has handed the title to Utd is bizarre.
Incredible amount of coverage by the press in UK, shocking that journalism has descended into red-top rubbish across the board.
Brisbanered, I notice your comment that us Spurs fans find nothing wrong with Sgt wilsons challenge, I point you to my first comment @10:51.
I have commented afterwards but it was after your comments.
I find the comment ‘Giving Spurs a two goal lead’ a bit wierd. Were you talking about Webb, or a poor Utd defensive display? (I am aware of the irony of that comment BTW! Being a supported of a side that let 4 other goals in)
I agree Palacios lunge was bad, and he actually got away with it. ( I would have sent him off) ‘Could have been a red – should have been a red’, there were many bad decisions. on both sides, but most were in Man Us favour. Some free kicks were given that should never have been
Spurs_Q8, Our rules that is just paranoid rubbish, all sides get some decisions go in their favour, it is called football maybe you should look at your menatlly weak players, remember after the penalty you were still 2-1 up.
Biggie which freekicks?
Stephen too many to mention , but Modric one stands out, I’m not gonna dwell on these issues, but Man U always seem to get away with many decisions.
Oh so you made that fact up to back your argument, how convenient.
Stephen, yes it isn’t exuse for the players and Redknapp because the team looked a bit lazy or tired in late stages in 2nd half in recent games, but it was too early for that, and just one good chance for Man Utd before that Penalty ( Tevez-Gomes one-on-one ) .. so you can see Spurs getting clean sheet for more mints. But harsh early Penalty, effected positive for Man Utd and negative for Spurs, you can see Gomes performance after it.
that’s why it was called turning point.
Stephen – I im not actually sitting here watching highlights of all incidents that occur and I don’t know where you see I ‘made a fact’ up.
Better still ask all the rest of the Premiership teams fans and they will all give you the same bloody answer, same aold Man U ref helping them all the way and getting the decisions they want!!!!
Biggie, typical bitter ABU rubbish, we win simply because we are the better team.
Spurs_Q8, You were still winning 2-1, you only have your players to blame for their lack of mental toughness, I am sorry but all teams gets the odd decisions, you should have been down to 10 men before you scored, I would have fancied us against your mentally weak side at home versus 10 men to win.
Stephen
Have u actually ever played football or been to a game? you sound just like that arrogant whiskey nose!!
Benitez was right, and so is everyone else!!!,
Oh and we robbed ya of £20m for Berba…
and you will lose you best player – Tevez in the summer as there is no cash to buy him!!!
I personally would have preferred to play against 10 men for 84 minutes than have got that penalty off Webb. Against 10 men there’s less chance of us conceding and more chance of us boosting our goal difference.
Webb did Spurs a favour by not sending Palacios off. As already mentioned, Cristiano Ronaldo got sent off for less against City a few years ago. Didn’t make contact but was red carded for intent. For Spurs fans to say Palacios didn’t deserve to be red carded means they think their players should be treated more favourably than ours.
Hilarious that you use Ronaldo and King in the same breath, and Ledley is the cheating bastard. Deluded Manc.
As for Palacios, to use Fergie’s bullshit karma theory, in our last game Palacios was wrongly sent off and we went on to lose a game we were in control of….
How is that arrogance?, we win because we are the better team the poorer team rarely as you should know win, you sound like a bitter cockney who cannot accept his teams failings to me.
Oh and that Berbatov jibe has really hit the mark jeez how pathetic, grow up and jog on, get your Carling Cup winners 2008 DVD out again, muppet.
Wow, I didn’t think Spurs fans actually used the World Wide Web!!
I think when the title of this post reads: “Spurs Fans” it may also mean Liverpool fans, the entire press and every other twat who buys in to myths surrounding United and wrong decisions.
United are consistently given bad decisions against them and win the odd bad one too… that’s the same for all teams, but United, being the size they are works against them.
That’s why us United supporters behave the way we do. There’s US and THEM, that’s the way it’s been for a long time now, but we’re happy that we. We always rise above these things with the football we play and silverware we win.
Biggie – Why don’t you spend some of your time watching the DVD of your 4-4 draw against Arsenal last year, that’s as big as your club will ever be and maybe that’s the reason you’re so bitter this time around?
The penalty wasn’t a stone wall ‘NO’ it could have gone either way, Carrick’s touch took the ball in the other direction BEFORE Gomes got a hand on it, with that and the fact the ref was furhter back than Sky’s HD Camera’s it was a wrong decision but not an awful one.
Your battle for EIGHTH place must be really heating up, so go and enjoy it!
“Benitez was right”? Everyone teaming up against United. How typical.
Stephen!

Tom, that is class!!
costas, I can see that chip on his shoulder from here, some people hate United more than they get behind their own club, no wonder their teams are spineless, no support.
Hi chaps. Shame things always get so heated and personal. At the end of the day we all love our footy, we just happen to have been born into different tribes.
I was GUTTED when the penalty was given and yes it was a turning point. But what we need to remember is that that made it 2-1. There was ALWAYS the risk of us crumbling… the referee wasn’t responsible for that. That’s the mentality and belief of our players. We’ve seens Spurs sides get scared and throw away leads plenty of times down the years… with no help needed from the referee.
More important than debating the penalty, we need to learn how to not crumble against big teams when we’re ahead. The defending was SHOCKING after 2-1, and United were sublime. That’s where Spurs need to put their attention, if we have any hopes of ever challening for 4th spot.
Agree completely about Palacios – that’s a red card. Any player did that against Spurs and we’d be screaming for his head… fair’s fair. And if we were 10 men away to United, it’s damage limitation at best.
All a waste of breath really, seeing as it WAS a penalty
Me too Stephen. It’s just a shame that we can’t expect them to take anything away from Liverpool on the final day of the season. They didn’t make so much noise for Keane as they made for Berbatov last summer either.
to sPURS …WHATSOEVER:
one chance before penalty??? – you MUST be kidding – Ronaldo shots and his header in the 1st half. Did you watch the game/did you see at least few mins thereof?
And – for the last time – I apeall to you to check the FIFA RULES (shut it! while talking about MU rules cause I´ve tens of examples when the ref went strong AGAINST MU not just this season & noone said a word! – i.e. simply check last 10 minutes of our loss at Fulham – UNBELIEVABLE WHAT THE SCOUSE BASTARD DID … & had someone said a word? NO – sometimes the ref´s decision goes improperly against one team but that´s not the case!!!
+++ do the spurs fans have their own web or is there any reason for U to be here ?!?! (before you even try it – I am NOT asking to go there, not at all interrested !!!)
why do man utd fans get attacked for saying the truth?,palacios should have seen red and the penalty was spot on,carrick didnt dive , he got clattered by gomes if that was in any place other than the penalty area ,it would be definately be blown as a foul.have people just stopped seeing the obvious just becos they hate and envy united?
to SpursFan5000 Said:
the previous words were not adressed to you but to spurs_Q8 etc.
besides: nice to read a NORMAL statement which does not happen very often these days … (well incl. me sometime :-/)
This is just the same as if a common criminal was not charged for an attempted murder just because the victim was clever and lucky enough to run away from the criminal and survive.
JETELINHO, I meant second half, it was just ONE CHANE in 12 mins, after that beautiful gift by referee you scored FIVE GOALS in 22 mins .. so still I’m kidding ?
even during the whole game 57 mins before penalty, apart from ronaldo 2-3 free-kicks ( including that superb save by Gomes ) .. you can see Harry Redknapp was right, there are no chance for you to get something from the game unless something like that happen.
before that harsh penalty, Man Utd in their BEST TIMES, we played 90 mins on WHL, 90 mins on OT in F.A, 120 mins in Wembley, then 57 mins before that penalty, you SCORED just TWICE in 357 mins .. tell me exactly how you scored five in 22 mins ?
Ask Harry Redknapp Spurs Q8.Sides don’t roll over after an unfair decsion. They pick themselves up.We scored 5 because for the first time this year Rooney played against you.He was involved in all of the goals so obviously he was the difference to the previous games.
Lets stop all this bickering like school kids these are the true facts .Liverpool were top SPURS were winning 2-0 deep in the corner of the changing room in the dark corners is a man with the same stuff thats got Liverpool sweeping all before them and scoring late energy goals even without stevie G, This is how it went Fergie says to is capt ex 8 month convicted fellon ,tell the lads to play faster your playing two slow i will nipp and see webbe and get us going with our comback penalty you fuck of in the dark corner and get some energy so we can score 5 goals in 22 mins .Thats why roony whas confident they would score three or more and if you look at our three othere games it proves my point 0-0 0-0 2-1 and last year 1-1 and 1-0 nani special and is last . S o roony and ronaldo saying it whas teves comming on whas bollocks because every time we played utd fergie drags them of the treatment table except when we played the league cup and we should have won that .If utd beat us 5-2 from the first half i would have excepted the penalty has just another bad decision but never will i except a team scoring 5 goals in 22 mins even if messi and eto were upfront and the way ronaldo the sulk exploded after he scored proved beyond doubt that the dark corner had been used ?
And how many chances did you have in the first half?Just the 2 goals.Ask any neutral and they will tell you it was unfair on United to go at halftime 2 goals down.Especially when Palacios should have been sent off.
After the supposed poisoning, some Spurs fans have become experts at seeing ghosts everywhere.
Spurs_Q8 , you should have been down to 10 men at nil nil, if yoy were I would have fancied our chances don’t you think?
Nowhere else in the world would a game where the home team has gone
0-2 down at halftime then fought back to win 5-2 would a penalty be seen
as the reason for the victory. (3,4 or even 5 pens, but not 1)
It was even mentioned again by that prick Craig Burley in the Newcastle
match a few times whenever the ref had a decision to make.
But that’s the magic of United,in everyones mind and always being talked
about,love them or not.
Please don’t tell me it is the first time Rooney played alongside Berba, Ronaldo & Tezez, because i would say Man Utd should score around 5 goals every game at home against teams outside of the top six.
Palacios with no yellow card and no contact for strong tackle = Red Card ( really ? )
let’s remember O’Shea with Yellow card and Contact = No foul ( in CC final ) ..
costas, yes Sides don’t roll over after an unfair decsion, BUT didn’t Man Utd lost a game due to unfair decision ? if that’s true, then i hope your manager won’t talk about referees again.
if gomez was that easily affected by one penalty decision, isnt it time to get a better keeper who can defend your goal instead of blaming the attacking power of man utd.
just get a life and move on
totally agree with u Scott & costas about the intent of palacios.also remember vieira getting sent off for air kicking at RVN.
JUST TO DRAW A LINE UNDER ALL THIS SPURS HURT NO1 PALACIOS SHOULD HAVE GONE NO2 EX UTD CAPT TAUGHT HIM TO TACKLE STEVE BRUCE NO3 PLACIOS GOT SENT OF FOR SHADOW TACKLING AT BLACKBURN WE LOST . THTA ONE SO HE THOUGHT FUCK IT I BETTER GET IT RIGHT . HE MISSED AGAIN THIS TIME HE AND RONALDO WERE LUCKY BUT FERGIE HAD WEBB AND TOLD HIM HE WOULD SEE TO IT IS FRIENDS AT THE FA WOULD STOP HIM REFFING THE FA CUP FOR THTA BAD TACKLE WEBBE SHIT HIMSELF AND MADE FERGIE HAPPY AGAIN AND INSTEAD OF HARRY SHARING IS WINE CELLAR DEEP UNDER COLD TRAFFORD IT WHAS SEARGENT WEBB WHO STAGGERED OUT IN THE DARK MANCUNIAN MOONLIGHT NIGHT .NOW GO ON AND WIN THE LEAGUE AND LET US LICK OUR WOUNDS TILL NEXT YEAR .
Yes intent, Ronaldo was sent off against City for intent a few years back, you can’t jump into a player with two feet and studs showing.
It was a penalty
FROM JEFF WINTER’S WEBSITE
So much for Howard Webb supposedly being the best Premiership official. He proved today that he is firmly in Man Utd’s pocket.
************************
From: David
Hi Jeff
How can one corrupt referee be allowed to change the course of the Premiership and will Howard Webb get a medal as part of Man Utd’s title winning team?
************************
Comments such as these are now common place. Indeed, this article will encourage more to spout their bile as they look for reasons why their own side did not win.
When a referee makes an honest decision and someone does not like it, then the answer is obvious; he is corrupt, bent, useless etc.
Grow up!! You sound as pathetic as a spoilt kid who has not got his way!!
Howard Webb has cost Liverpool the title, has he? To be honest, I don’t remember him playing up front for Liverpool in the home games when they failed to beat vastly inferior opposition. I also don’t recall him starring in the defence that let Arsenal run riot last Tuesday night.
No, the ref has been and always will be the easy target.
Before everyone rants on and lists the 101 decisions that have gone against their side this season, think on and recall the ones that have gone your way as well.
Perhaps they do not even themselves out perfectly but then list the number of cock-ups that your side has made in defence and the number of goal chances that have been missed.
Are all the players who make these mistakes corrupt, or are they just useless?
Many state that there is too much money at stake and that video technology is the answer to everything. Well, if players did not cheat and dive at any given opportunity and if referees were perfect, then perhaps we would not need to bring that subject up after every decision.
It ain’t going happen because the authorities have said it won’t.
The clubs could not afford it anyway and it would kill the flow of the game. Most importantly, however, is that it would cost too many ex-players their lucrative jobs as ‘experts’!!
The latest to emerge is Craig Burley, a poor man’s Andy Gray, who spouted his bile whilst doing co-commentary with Jon Champion at the Manchester United v Spurs game.
It was “the penalty incident that changed the game” he said. Do me a favour, Manchester United were running them ragged and it was only a matter of time before Spurs capitulated and United ran away with it!!
According to Burley though, it was not a difficult decision – anyone could see it!!
Well, excuse me, but when you have watched an incident on numerous occasions from the benefit of an elevated position, and when you have slowed it down, then perhaps things might appear clearer. Ah ha, video technology – that would have sorted it!!
But was it a penalty or not? In my opinion – which is not borne out of bias for any club involved in the title race (actually I would have liked to see Liverpool win it!) – is that it was a penalty.
Howard Webb would see the keeper – the erratic Gomes by the way – throw himself at the feet of Carrick and then up-end him. Does anyone disagree that the keeper actually brought him down? Carrick did not dive, he was clattered.
Yet thanks to slow motion video technology, we can now see that the keeper actually got a touch on the ball which makes it alright. Or does it?
I thought that we had been educated by the Law makers – a point that Burley and Co. constantly forget – that if you take the ball and the man, it is reckless and therefore a foul.
It most certainly is when an outfield player does it and it is definitely the case if the incident occurs outside the penalty area.
So are there different rules for keepers and when offences occur inside the box? Don’t answer that one.
Whatever it was, the decision does not make the referee corrupt or a United supporter, although that is the easy option for the idiots who neither know nor care about the game, just the result.
Howard Webb is an excellent referee who, whilst not being perfect, has gained universal respect for how he controls games.
He has made and will make mistakes – all refs do (even Collina) – but he gets the majority of high profile games, both domestically and abroad, because of his ability.
Of the ten games between the “Big/Top Four” this season, he has taken charge of six of them, plus a whole host of other big derby games. This week he is officiating a UEFA Cup semi-final as well.
I know that he wanted to go on TV after Saturday’s game to put his point of view across but the authorities would not allow him to do so. This in itself tells a story.
Don’t get me wrong, if you have read my articles this season you will know that I feel very strongly that all is not well in the refereeing world. This is largely due to weak leadership and the lack of support from the authorities.
There are also some refs who, in my opinion, are not good enough to be doing the big games but as in all other aspects of life, their faces fit.
Some do seem to bottle it when it comes to making a decision against one of the big boys – more about Arsenal v Boro in my column for the Evening Gazette on Friday!!
However, Howard Webb most certainly does not fit into that category. He is an excellent official (in fact he is our best). He is an honest man who has worked very hard to get to where he is.
Perhaps the dickheads who describe people who do a job that they would never have the balls or ability to do themselves should think of that before throwing infantile comments around.
Dear davspurs i object to you saying roony looks like he should be playing for salford he might have the same energy that we showed beating leeds on there own ground but ronaldo looks more like a rugby player or one of those olympic sprinters a friend of mine from castlford told me is mate dwane chambers is training him anyway hard luck against utd 5 goals in 22 mins is the same has dwane winning gold in the 100 metres ,FUCKING DODGY HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA.
I don’t think the issue is with what Harry Redknapp came out and said, after all every manager has a right to defend their team.
This hysteria was once again caused by the press and even worse, football commentators and pundits across the country. The headline stating a referee ‘handed the title to United’ is clear in black and white.
This is what gives Spurs fans ammo to have a go and this is why United supporters are yet again having to defend ourselves to everyone else out there.
The decision is done and dusted, the game means nothing to Spurs, they are in no mans land and the point we try to ram down the throats of neutral fans is that the likes of Liverpool and every other team in the league have decisions go there way mistakenly and against the mistakenly every week.
It’s football. Who knows what would have happened if we didn’t receive a penalty? Of course the goal changed the game… it made the score 2-1.. then the goal after that changed the game, and the goal after that and the one after that, the 5th goal was just great for Berbatov to get against Spurs after leaving them to have a chance at winning a decent trophy.
SORRY FOR THE LAST COMMENT LADS ONLY HAVING A LAUGH WONT DO THAT AGAIN .JUST TO STOP THIS HURT SPURS FANS ARE HURT FOR 3 REASONS UTD TAKING OUR BEST PLAYERS EVERY TIME WE GET A GOOD SIDE SECONDLY WE THOUGHT THE PEN WHAS NOT A PEN AND THIRDLEY THE 5 GOALS IF UTD WON 3-2 OR DREW 2-2 NONE OF THIS HATE WOULD BE GOING ON ,ONE PROBLEM THAT HAS GONE UNOTICED THE SPURS PLAYERS HAVE GOT AWAY WITH A SHAMBOLIC COLLAPSE , IF ANY GOOD COMES OUT OF THIS WE SHOULD NEVER LET THAT HAPPEN AGAIN EXECEPT TO THE CHAMPIONS ELECT OF COURSE 5-3 5-2 —-?
United fans must be careful what they ask for.
If you want players to get 10 gams bans for dangerous tackles then you will need to borrow more money for a bigger squad. You will lose 4 or 5 players from the first team on a regular basis, leaving the more skilful teams to win the league.
We are one of the more skillful teams.
oh and to add, tom f – we’re not in no mans land, we’re pushing for europe. we need that europa league spot not so we can try and win it, but more so we have that as a base to attract foreign players. it may be a bit of a joke of a tournament, but it certainly comes in to play when trying to sign the modric’s and berbatov’s of this world. a few seasons ago i celebrated at OT when mendes scored that goal. we were robbed of europe then, and we may well have just been robbed of europe AGAIN. that’s why it hurts mate.
i have always wanted united to win the title over ar5ena1 or chelski, and since benitez has been liverpool manager, i’ve preferred united over them to. how that can change over the course of one weekend, however, is crazy…
still need you guys to kill the arse tomorrow though.
Why is it that the Spurs fans are so upset?A penalty decision has cost us our FA cup campaign 2 years in a row,yet we haven’t complained so much. And on top of that “Benitez was right”?Really?Be sure to put in the same effort when you visit Anfield on the final day.Can we start dealing again with sides who are in the top 4?
WE take your best players ? Why is Levi selling them to us ? Yes, because they all want to play for us. And that’s a fact. You have the money but you don’t have history. Sad but true.
I can not understand one thing. How on earth you can call the referee’s decision terrible ? It just shows how subjective they all are.
2 leagues and 8 FA Cups. not bad but it doesn’t mean anything nowadays.
i always sympathized spurs but i think Tottenham is too big for Harry’s boots.
anyway, let’s focus on Wednesday. I’m fed up with all of this.
There is no way our players didn’t here the shit surrounding our game on Saturday but the lack of the response from us sums it all up. We won’t lose our focus. let them do the talking we will do the talking on the pitch.
We can say whatever we like about Ronaldo but the way he evaded Palacios’ tackle is monumental, artistic and marvelous to watch!
Corea
We have history, it’s the immediate future we are lacking
Alot of Spurs fans cannot see why players leave, I tend to think ‘If I was playing for Villa (For instance) and Utd come in for me, allowing me to play in the Ch league AND have a chance of winning the league, I would jump at the chance!
I hope Spurs get to that stage within the next ten years, it would be cracking, then players might not want to leave to join the bigger clubs.
If I was playing for Spurs, I would not leave. But you can’t expect the players to have as much love for the club as the supporters……
Jesus christ, how did ronaldo get out of the way of that?!
That could’ve snapped his leg in two!
Yeah the referee favours us ….u spurs continue cryin as v red devils go marching on n on with the trophies…ok d penalty shunt av stood n wat bout d other goals?? If ur players lost concentration after the penalty then that aint our problem is it?? First pls try and win against ur rivals arsenal i dono wen u last won against them in the league….cheers!
@ iamcnut
sad but true. but you are not in the shoes of Tottenham players. we don’t know what is like. but it’s really tough to break into the big 4 nowadays and i don’t see you there with Redknapp.
Good luck and unbiassed attitude.
@costas
“Why is it that the Spurs fans are so upset?”
I think Spurs fan are disproportionately upset about this because we’ve been on an incredible run and were ‘daring to hope’ for next season… being two goals up away from home against the best team in the world put is in dreamland. If we’d held on to that lead we’d have gone away for the season extremely optimistic for next season.
Seeing us capitulate and concede 5 brings back too many memories – and makes us wonder if this is yet another false dawn. I think that has really fed in to the reaction we’ve seen over this penalty incident and it’s been way over the top.
Wonder if this will make the news??!! If we’re going to contest things this vehemently I would say this was a pretty obvious one to shout about, this being the CL semi final and all!! Now lets all say Chelsea bought the ref shall we? I thought not!

SpursFan5000 i get what you mean. But for me the first half was a bit fortuitous for Spurs. Two goals from 3 attacks and the Palacios disgrace. It wasn’t fair on United either.
By the way guys,Webb apoligised in public but only for the penalty.Nice work cunt.
I cant believe Spurs fans are STILL banging on like this in their often incoherent babble like spoiled kids. Really, it’s over, you lost, you got tonked. You maybe got a tough decision on the penalty (although that case is not as water-tight as you think), but you should have had a player sent off long before, so please stop your self-pitying small-town loser whine, and hope United do you all a favour and leave Arsenal without a trophy , again.
Can I just fucking say that it was 10 minutes between the penalty and Rooney’s 1st goal, so if after 10 minutes Spurs still couldn’t get their concentration, then they are bottlers. Turning point my arse, we would have massacred you anyway.
The Spurs fans and Harry are trying to hide a very major problem their team has – the defence has no backbone – or if it has it’s made of yellow jelly.
In other words a defence full of bottlers. Any truth in the rumour that Harry wants to sign J Terry?
A partnership made in heaven.
when ronny should be falling over he doesnt. that wouldve been a straight red if he did.
