Manchester United usually perform when their backs are up against the wall. Some of the most monumental occasions in United’s history took place when the pressure was really on them, including both European Cup finals.
John O’Shea reckons the experience United have in their squad, from Ryan Giggs’ nine titles, to Wayne Rooney and Cristiano Ronaldo’s one title, will ensure we go on to claim the league again this season. The added bonus of United thriving under pressure is a credit to United, the Irish versatility man claims.
“Experience really helps,” he said. “Even the coaching staff, the experience they have in leading or chasing points. This is the time of the season we really enjoy. This is when the pressure comes, when medals are decided and when the players stand up and be counted. Those teams (Chelsea and Arsenal) will know that any slip-up is going to be huge at this stage.”
Will United’s ability to deal with pressure ensure them another Premiership title?
