Antonio Valencia has signed a 4-year-deal with Manchester United after making what is believed to be £16m move from Wigan.
Whilst not expecting to fill the boots of Cristiano Ronaldo, the Ecuadorian winger will certainly strengthen the squad after enjoying a successful period with Steve Bruce down the road at the JJB.
“Joining Manchester United is a dream come true for me,” said Valencia. “I have enjoyed my time at Wigan, but I am thrilled to have the chance to challenge for the biggest honours in club football here. Playing in front of 76,000 fans alongside players like Wayne Rooney, Rio Ferdinand and Ryan Giggs will be an amazing experience. I can’t wait to get started.”

Man Utd News 24/7

have allways admired valencia ,he is going to be a hit !!
He better be…
Get in! Better players around him will push him on
not expecting too much from him for the first half of the season.. coming from Wigan to Manchester United is one massive step, might take him some time to get going
Welcome Antonio.
I’m happy he’s signed, pace, direct, agressive and hard working plus we know he doesn’t want to player for the virus!
Great to finally sign a player. I have high hopes for Valencia, he seems like he has class and is a hard worker. Hopefully he can take the step up.
A new left winger and striker now and we’ll be set for next season. Do your thing, Fergie!
We will bring out the best in him. If He can cross the ball as well as I think he will then it would be great to see Benz and Berba getting up for them.
Plus, two years experience in the prem where we know he’s played well for Wigan.. Now he’s in a much, much better side now
YES!!!! No more interviews with Dave Whelan trying to best to whore him out.
Welcome to OT Valencia.he aint no superstar but i’m sure with the help of SAF and co., he will grow into one.
this signing just means that fergie must sign a left winger because valencia is a good player but does not get goals so united need either a winger that will get and provide alot of goals i.e. ribery or a player that will provide alot of goals for teammates i.e silva because lets face berba and wayne will be up front next season and although are fabulous will not score 30 goals a season like ronny did nd between them 3 last season you would of expected 70 goals a season but between valencia, rooney, berba you would expect 40 goals tops
Good move for us I think. Seems totally motivated to do well at the club and be a success, which in turn I think he will be.
he must not wear the deserve the number 7 shirt,,,,the number 7 belongs to exceptional talents only,,,,
At least his name has a few syllables so a chant will be easy!
Antonio! (Antonio!) Valencia! (Valencia!)
Antonio Valencia, he doesn’t dive, or crash Ferrari’s
Antonio Valencia!
I reckon this could work for us, he’s a proper winger that will make goals and not just be greedy. Plus he works back which would probably stop Wayne Rooney feeling the need to cover back when Ronaldo was to ignorant and lazy to do it.
woohoo. and he chose us over madrid. finally, a player with sense!
Yes. In Fergie we trust…we must…we must.
Good Signing. I hope he can step up to the plate but my only concern is his GOALS tally. SEVEN goals in TWO SEASONS is a shite record for a Man Utd winger. But with all the super inflated prices for the other players around (ribery, silva etc) its good we got him. Welcome to The Theatre of dreams Antonio. Make us proud.
Looking forward to seeing him in the United shirt, hope people dont put to much pressure on him hopefully enough people realise he isnt going to be the ‘next ronaldo’ but i have faith he will turn out to be a great signing.
Glad to have a good player who genuinely wants to be at the club.
I’m really excited for this signing. I feel like he has a good heart and attitude, and is a solid player to boot. He can only get better with United. Good tackler, strong man, good crosser, tracks back: everything a winger should be.
From the fifa world cup in germany he was briliant, and i am very happy that he is at ot from the next season
Welcome to the worlds greatest football team
What JimJones said.
Nani got his twin…hahaha…look like Nani at the face…BTW, welcome to OT mate!!
I’ve really been that impressed with him to be honest, but maybe i haven’t seen that much of him. Time will tell i suppose and i hope everyone does give him time.
I’m so happy we’ve signed this guy. He’s young and clearly wants to play for us, and he’s got all the ability in the world. And regardless of what his goal return has been so far in England, i back him to get at least 10 league goals this season. Now for Benzema!!!
Common guys we need a strong defensive midfielder
