Man Utd News 24/7

BRING IT ON!
COME ON UNITED!
Itz payback time…….we are definitely kicking them out this time around. Believe!
Anyone got ne idea bout the coverage?
Come on!!!
Look people, i will say this more than time…remember this name Mateo Kovacic, 17 yo PLAYMAKER we need that right? Citeh wanted to buy him, be he said he wants to go to United with SAF. I can t remember when some good plaer said he wants to play in United. Everyone runs for Citeh money.
We played against RM, he was passing through those players like he was skiing. He is not new Messi, but he is one of the most talented players in the world. Tell SAF that he has to buy him. I m in Croatia, can t get him on the phone
@mara
I disagree, he is too young. It would be too risky; his price tag is way too steep.
I just hope the lads are not obsessed with revenge. It will affect the way we play. Good thing we are away hence pressure is on them and they are slght favourites because of the 6 1. I do not get SAF at times. De rossi is on offer and he is world class and the type of player who will improve us. He is also cheap. He will offer us a fear factor. Please saf explore this avenue.
Antiscouser, we bought ronaldo, rooney, jones, smalling who were all young. If he is talemted age really doesnt matter. We are always saying sneijder too old we cant pay that much,now its he is too young we cant pay that much. Like ronaldo said great players cost a lot.
@Gora
We also bought Bebe, Djemba Djemba, Bellion and Obertan. All young and “talented”.
We also have trolls on RoM, not everyone that posts here is genuine by any means
Morning Cedars, I will settle for a 1-0 win over the bitters. The next 30 days or so could see ciddy’s season implode.
The players will be focussed on the job in hand.
Come on United, let’s take away their slim grasp on a trophy and kill off any other bragging rights the rabble may enjoy. Lay their lands to waste!
Yedred
Morning pal, not seen you here for ages…. Any win against the bitters will do, I just hope its the more heart breaking i.e. an injury time winner as we’ve done so often against them in recent years
Those that you mentioned clarify my point. You dont just pay peanuts and expect to get a genious. Chicharito is said to be the signing of the century coz it doesnt often happen that you pay peanuts and get such a talent
@Cedaras.
Hahaha
“Trolls on ROM”.
I assume that you are referring to AntiScouser? I’ve been seeing some comments here not very flattering for him. How do you recon his deceiving appearances?
@Gora – If your good enough your old enough, thats what Sir Matt use to say to me.
Good day real friend and true Red CedarsDevil!
Your divine powers of divination uncovered the demon beneath the devil.
Exercise your right to exorcise the fiend.
Happy match day, brother-in-arms!
dazbomber
Not Paddy in disguise are you? hahaha
Nicely spread out.
smartalex
A true genius with words you are and a RED to the core may I add…. Many thanks for the various compliments yesterday……. As for the trolls, way to easy to suss my good friend
@Gora
None of those was paid “peanuts” (if you includ transfer fees, salaries, medical fees etc.). Mentioning Chicharito clarifies my point: since it doesn’t happen often, why pay 20 mil.€ (and that’s only the known part of the transfer fee) for an unproven 17 yearold?
CedarsDevil@ 12.09.
Don’t get here often due to work interfering with the good things.
I’m fortunate to have a boss who doesn’t mind me watching the games on my laptop at work as long as the work doesn’t suffer.
My laptop will DEFINITELY be used on the 8th.
Einsi
Hi, yes I was indeed! Not sure I have seen you post here before…Forgive my fading memory, if you are new then welcome aboard
If he did breeze through RM, that’s pretty impressive I’d say.
United! Hopefully we get the result today and move to the next round.
More importantly, no more injuries please!
@CedarsDevil @smartalex
Maybe the two of you should bake a cake or compose a fugue together.
It also clarifies my point, if you just want to troll and pretend to be smart why bother?
Not interested in revenge, i just want us to return to the team we all respect . Ive had every form of insult and bile these deluded bitters can throw at us . They even surpass the very things they have hated about us for years .Team Mansour will inevatably buy there way to the pinicle but that it is what it is , its not input from them as a club ..There will be knots in there stomachs not knowing how we have recovered from the 6 1 . lets prove those worries well founded !
United Built Not Bought !
It’s a pity you can’t tame them, then use them to fuel your car.
Some one needs to invent a pet-troll engine. The internal combustion alone, would satisfy.
Dazbomber i agree with you. We never held back the fergie fledglings and they won the double. I believe if this player wants united over city cash and he is that good,lets get him. I believe antiscouser is either a dipper or bitter.
We’d rather roast sauerkraut, thanks!
Hahaha brilliant smart alex. Pet-troll. Lv u man
We could compose a dirge, although rapturous laughter is better spontaneous, or ad lib.
Anti Scouser
Now that you have directly addressed me I will duly respond…….
You have issues, issues that need urgent care and perhaps medications….. You suffer from obvious neglect in your life, probably always found it hard to be accepted… You can be treated, I am sure modern day health care can take care of you, just do not leave it too late…
The way most of us here get along obviously gets under your skin
Cheers Gora!
@Gora
AntiScouser, unlike you, has seen Mateo Kovacic play for Dinamo Zagreb live three times.
Urbi et orbi: It’s wise to invest in education.
Just a minor point Scott…….
Shitty play Liverpoo at home on 3rd January in the League not the league cup.
Might make a difference, you never know!
Afternoon Reds
I love game day, its a huge game today and I for one more than anything want to avoid Europa league. It would be disastrous for us in the league if we had to play in that.
We should have had this piss easy group sewn up by now but we seem to have found some form and we need a Shalke like away performance tonight. Get at them early and set the stall out, the longer this remains 0-0 the more dangerous it becomes. They can score goals no doubt.
My team would be:
DDG
smalling Vida Rio Paddy
Nani Fletch Jones Young
Rooney Wellbeck
Entropy, i saw the game too. He looks a natural. I have to say i am not happy with pogba. I mean with all the noise going about he could at least come out and deny the rumours especially citeh’s. I meam saf came out and specifically mentioned his progress and this is how he repays the great man
Its wise to invest in the art of pissing off
City are obviously going to drop a couple of points in the DEC-JAN fixtures and lets keep in mind they’re without yaya and kolo toure for the AFCON in the JAN-FEB period and thats usually when SAF and the Lads kick in … but we just have to be ready and with minimum injuries to get the max out of our fixtures ..looking forward for the Basel game !! Come ON UNITED !! 3-0 UNITED
giggs12gerrard0
Afternoon pal…. K stand barmy army K stand barmy army hahaha
Stretty > K stand
Cannot help it buddy!
You know things are not going well when they start to imply that they have enough money!
Idiot.
RED-LEB
A son of the cedars are you?
smartalex
You forgot to add ‘of the highest order’
Cedars man i have to say t read my thoughts there. I am deeply impressed by how well a lot of us get along. Occasionally a troll looks to spoil the fun. Well well well, antiscouser, you say invest in education yet your grammar is bull. You say, i have watched not i has watched. Get real man
@smartalex @CedarsDevil
Maybe you should finish each other’s sentences.
antiscouser. Isn’t a bad thing to invest in youth. Granted Utd have had some that havn’t made the grade. There are also the ones that got away like Shawcross. I think Utd still have the luxury of time to develop. Can’t say the same at Shitty or Chelsea. why so negative mate. Pls. No friggin latin response, I’m impressed ok. Cedars I’ll have a fruitcake.
It sounds so much better emphasised by a remindful you.
Say it again! Say it again!
Gora
Best way is to ignore them, or simply leave them up to me! I have all the time on my hands…
He’s been sussed and flushed, zero credibility
@Gora
Contrary to popular belief, my grammar is fine. In every of the 4 languages I speak.
Agony AuntieScouser
Why so bitchy? Do you reflect, much?
Cedars cedars, who the fuck is Cedars?!!! How ya doing pal. On my lunch so checking in briefly. Hope all is well. Auntie scouser, aka uncle fuck Witt !!
@james21
Thanks, finally some sense
Ok, you have a point but I’ve seen this kid play, he’s way to inexperienced and weak for the PL.
This is all I said and insults started raining down on me. Well, what can one do.
@Mikekelly12
12 at the end of your nickname is your mental age, right?
Mike!
Great to see you here pal…. Uncle fuck wit? Hahaha brilliant stuff
James
Fruitcakes are my specialty! hahaha
Not his mental age, just the number of times he shoved it up your hateful throat
Guys lets ignore proscouser.
Reconcilable with unpopular belief is the knowledge that pompous prats nauseate.
Gora
But its fun!
Lack of social interaction behaviour problems SEN management
And now i’m off to make Tommy Cooper hats for Christmas play
19
Gora – Who says De Rossi wants to come to United or to leave Roma? Without sounding conderscending it isnt like going to buy a pint of milk from a shop,. There are many factors.
antiscouser. Some could have said the same of Ole, Chicharito and Ronaldo. Lets not forget rivals and Utd fans slagged Ronaldo but once Utd built him up and coached him they’d turned him into a world class player. I do understand caution but not negativity. some of the lads do comunicate outside the blog and regard themselves good friends, try and understand that.
James
Ever the sensible one among us!
@smartalex
I don’t think your friend @CedarsDevil can understand such sophisticated terms. You should downgrade it a bit so he can enjoy your witticisms.
Ah! The thrill of heading to the footballing backwaters of Europe, in a search for victory.
The lads will be really up for this. Time to show the lessons learned thus far.
Rock solid and irresistible. Come on United!
Hello Everyone!!!!!!!
Can’t wait 4 the 8th of January Bring on City in the F.A Cup Plus I think City will lose against Much 2nite in the CL Manchester Utd will win 2nite match I hope Berbatov will play sume part in 2nite match Anyone Agree or Disagree
Collyhurst Red – Hello mate. IS the City dippers game on the 3rd in the league? Thought it was first leg of league cup?
Fellaz i was having an argument with someone. Who is better rafael or fabio? I think rafa is a bit ahead at the moment. He is very solid and cant doubt him in big games. People are talking about Bayern as if they outclassed us the other time. I thought we just made mistakes that year. Rafa,carrick and evra. We will beat them mark my words
MG. Tommy Cooper Legend. RIP. ‘My feet are killing me. I woke up this morning and they were round my throat’ T.C
@james21
I’ll repeat what I said earlier: I just said that I thought the kid wasn’t worth it and inuslts came raining down on me.
Sapienti sat.
Booch – I agree with every word, sweetheart!
Good day fellow Reds..predictions for tonight anyone? I reckon 3-1
AntiScouser
Trying to wedge your obsequious ass in a repulsive attempt to split a friendship highlights the flaws that others have suggested you have looked at. It won’t take them long to see how extensive a lobotomy is required, don’t ignore the signs!
Is AntiScouser, Megleeker?
Cedars.
sometimes mate
About time u saved up your pennies and joined us for a warm Singha.
Boochy baby. Berba is injured.
James you beauty. Ever the sensible one indeed.
King Eric
Doubt it pal, similar in sly digs mind you
@smartalex
Listen, and I’m serious now, I’m not trying to split a friendship or destroy your magic cirlce. I made a comment and you started insulting me.
I will keep insulting you (plural) as long as you (plural) keep insulting me.
We can go on like this forever. It’s up to you. I’m all for peace and brotherhood.
Gora – Hello mate. Bayern outclassed United? Like you say did they fuck. We absolutely battered them first half and would have pissed that game till Rafa got sent off. We took them apart that first half hour with a half fit Rooney.
Horny buggers the lot of you! Agree or disagree?
mufc4life – Hello mate. I reckon that 1:3 would be preferable to your 3:1
I know what you mean, though! I’d love a win without conceding.
High hopes I do have, and a strong showing is expected.
@King Eric

antiscouser. Whats that mean if its Alcoholic I’ll have 2.
Agree!
As horny as Red devils should be!
Ooh he’a serious now, this is interesting
That took up more space than I thought it would, damn cut & paste!
@King Eric
Hello mate. Yes one legged Rooney! I remember that.
I also remember every single goal conceded against Bayern could have been prevented. Slack defending all round me thinks over both legs.
Personally I think United are gonna draw Barcelona or Real Madrid. I’ve just got this feeling that we could be made to pay for taking the group stage alittle lightly this year
Thanks James21 Baby but i forget Berbatov was not fit!!!!!!!!!!
Tthanks you Fred!!!!!! Anyone predictions 4 the Utd match I say utd will beat Basel 4 0
@Boooooooooooooooch!
I think we’ll win by the odd goal but unfortunately can’t see Benfica not winning.
Like has been said on here before, sooner play Barca or Rm over 2 legs.
@Cedars
Your memory is fine, I don’t post here a lot, but read ROM daily. I truly enjoy reading comments from some familiar names here. Real commitment to the club we all love.
@smart alex
Ha ha ya my bad but glad you understood what i meant. I’d also love to keep a clean sheet and i don’t think we’ll have a problem breaking them down and scoring but just the fact that we’ll be going all out for the win I can see at least 1 slipping past us. Let’s all hope I’m wrong about that though. Man sitting in work is so boring especially when I’m counting down the hours until I get home to watch the match
Gora.
Peace and harmony thats me. Until i get to the football. Cedars. I can help u with the Fugue, i can play the Violin, might not sound as good as Bach’s Tocata and fugues but we’ll have a go
——————-De Gea—————–
Smalling—Vidic—ferdinand—Evra
—————–Carrick——————–
Nani—–Fletcher—Jones—-Young
——Rooney——–Welbeck———-
My predictions for the team sheet tonight
James
You nutter! hahahahaha Cheers for cracking me up pal
oops haha meant to take carrick out of that didnt realise untill i posted it sorry
AntiScouser, now you’re back on the search for wood fragments in regular’s eyes.
Those log-cabins in your eyes distract so.
Yesterday you sarcastically shredded my comment. My very first comment, for days.
Why? We had not spoken. My comment was not an affront to that which United holds dear.
No, you were reacting angrily to rebukes of your anti-Young blurts. You saw my comment,
and leapt upon it, as a madman in a fit-fueled frenzy. Very insulting behaviour.
Now you bleat that ‘you made a comment, and are being insulted’
Clear those cabins, ScouseRanger; we are happy with each others faults.
mufc4life – I think it’s about 6 hours to go now, right? It will feel like a month.
Too much animosity here these days,you guys should please lay off each other.Everyone’s entitled to his/her opinion as long as there are no personal insults involved.Please do so cos people like me enjoy reading the comments on this site,thanks.
@MUFC4life
Altight mate that is 12 players and also Carrick is suspended pal.
smartalex
6 hours and 6 mins..how depressing. Think it’s safe to say that majority of that time will be spent on here
Cedars. Think i’m in there with Booch. Agree?
Hello Udhala! Welcome!
Thanks for speaking your mind. Please, do so more often, that RoM may be further enriched.
I would like it if United didnt settle for the draw rather went out and fucking hammered them. They are capable if the right team is picked and the right attitude going into the game. I wont buy Fergies comments that we havent underacchieved. Weve looked deflated ever since the champions league final where we went to play golf. Im pissed off that everytime we play a team we take them as if we are playing Barca and its generally tentative steps towards the net making sure not to expose ourselves. Understanndable if your playing the likes of Barca or Munich but not against the likes of Basel and Benfica. I hope Wellbeck plays as he is one of the few that actually seem to understand whats expected of a Manchetser United player unlike that look at me media prick Rooney, or that Id rather be doing that Christian Dior advert instead of playing in the cold Nani, Ill just hoof this one into row Z.
Agree, agree! hahaha get in……
giggs12gerrard0
I feel like an idiot for it
I know my bad. I commented straight away to say i meant to take him out
Eric,i agree. We battered them like hell. We were not even very strong then. I remember we had a half fit rooney and gibbo. I mean gibbo guys. Barca are starting to look like they are beatable. Its madrid that i fear with cr07 and kaka. Thats quite a team.
Anyone catch the Barca match last night? Didnt see it myself but wondering were their youngsters as good as the scoreline suggests?
@Cedars
haha mate im all about the K stand we have a nice little group of us that get it giong.
Manchester City will lose 3 0 2nite Come on Utd do anyone agree with James21 that I Booch I am firting with James21 Anyone Agree
@smartalex
Sarcasm was, believe it or not, not aimed at you, but at all the others who kept insulting me for no reason whatesoever before you arrived.
Can we get on with our lives now and will you stop calling me a troll/City fan every time I comment on something?
My prediction:
——————-De Gea—————–
Smalling —Vidic—ferdinand — Evra
—–Carrick —–
(we play him anyway)
Nani—–Fletcher—Jones—-Young
—————–Sneijder—————–
(on short loan since Inter is through)
——Rooney——–Welbeck———-
No doubt pal, just a dig by someone who was a regular Stretty ender
Every time you shred one of my comments in an unwarranted attack I will see you for the cunt you are. Every time you post a decent comment i will also see another side of you.
Udalah. I blame it all on Gibson.
Booch
I agree
Boochy baby. Agreed.
@MUFC4LIFE
Haha no worries mate i wish we could play 12 and I wish Carrick was available.
Einsi
@smartalex
You mean just like when I made a normal comment in the beginning (visible to everybody) and you called me a troll. True integrity, indeed.
James is a horny bugger, heard it first! hahahaha
Boochy, where in the hell are you from?
I’m gonna miss the game today folks. There’s something I can’t really get out of so I’m gonna have to keep up to date on my phone. I’m sure you guys will keep me up to speed from a Red tinted point of view.
I’d love to be able to sign off with some pompous linguistics but sadly, I only speak United.
Anti scouser / smart alex
Guys can i suggest we just put this to bed its gettnig boring reading it all and poluting the blog. You dont like each others comments so lets just move on lads.
To criticize Utds policy of signing talented youth and point out failures is bloody stupid.Every team makes fuck ups in signings,how many players have City paid 20mill+ for then tossed to the scrap heap,look at the 75mill rentboys invested in Torres and Luis or Liverpool with Carroll
Utd signing youngsters is like signing a 2yr old at horse racing some will flop so will be champs just part of the gamble.When a player doesn’t work out for Utd the transfer fee is normally small as is the wages,the ones that do deveolp more than compensate for the failures.
Anti Scouser
Who are you trying to fool? You are just a WUM
Guys, when is the draw? Is it this friday?
@giggs12gerrard0
Agree with the suggestion.
Looking forward to City, just like anybody else.
SmartAlex … “Some one needs to invent a pet-troll engine. The internal combustion alone, would satisfy.” Maybe, but the fumes would stink.
Anti Scouser.
Don’t get deflected let them show where they think your point is wrong ignore all else or you will be at it all day.
@giggs12gerrard0
Completely agree with you on that too..Its getting kinda boring but I can see why smartalex does’nt want to let it go..Just agree to disagree
Gora – it’s NEXT Friday, I believe. (December 16)
parry. Antiscouser isn’t all the innocent party here. Just putting u in the picture.
Haven’t predicted a United line up since the team’s performances started being average, so I thought I should bring back the good luck charm.
De Gea – Smalling, Ferdinand, Vidic, Evra – Nani, Jones, Fletcher, Giggs, Park – Rooney
its probably time to put it to bed now tho.
james parry is just adding to the windup
Wayne. cheers mate , just thought I’d put him in the picture in a diplomatic way.
James21.
not suggesting anything but like fair play not mass attack.
Unless Utd fork over the 45k a week City have offered him Pogba is going to be toast
http://www.givemefootball.com/premier-league/united-midfielder-rejects-contract-offer
parry mate if someone comes on posting negative comments its not mass attack,just alot of posters realizing he’s talking shit,some posters are always negative,have to question are they a fan or troll and wum
Wayne
Not involving myself in this dispute,not my arguement but someones view is someone else’s negative comment how do you differentiate?
My line up tonight would be
PIG Jones Evans Smalling Fryers Cole Gibson Pogba Morrison Macheda Diouf
Well i’m an ardent United fan for years and with regards to this fixture,i,ve already warned my next door neighbour who is a blue that if city do us again,he can shove it up his arse coz he will not be borrowing my lawnmower anymore.
Its not mass atack. He’s brought alot of it onto himself. He made 2 snide digs at me yesterday that were unprovoked. Today is a new day and i’ve given him the benefit.
parry think its obvious mate,the transfer situation naming players who have failed and not including players who have succeeded like Ronnie,its taking the whole thing out of context and putting a negative slant on it.
If someone took the time to line up all the young lads who have made it and compare them to the young players who didn’t wouldn’t be close.I have no problem with someone having a difference of opinion,it’s taking things out of context to make a arguement that bothers me,anti Glazier,Berba are the prime example of that
James21/Wayne.
Ah well not my dispute so I’ll just observe what’s happening.
Wayne … I agree about those who deride the “fuck-ups” we have apparently made in signing some youths. Why, to hear some folk talk, you’d think there was some test you could do (a DNA test maybe) that would identify world-beating talent in the teenage years (or perhaps at birth?), or that such players have some other distinguishing sign that ought to be obvious, like a red halo floating aboce their heads. I mean, how else could SAF get it so wrong?
By definition, “world-beaters” are “outliers”, and by definition, outliers are that rare 0.0001% of the population. We’re trying to identify them or some of them, at a very young age. SAF’s record in this is extraordinary. If we focus just on the outliers he identified as youths, and then brought through, I doubt any manager in any sport can match his record. Scholes, Giggs, Ronaldo are three, and I think we all expect the current crop will generate at least a couple. And of course, this igmores the outliers he identified who were already mature but had not yet shown the full potential of their amazing talent, like Keano and Cantona, and those whose talent had been recognized but who still needed the touch of Ferguson the Master Gem Cutter, like Rooney and Jones.
Set against that, there have been a few disappointments, but no more than a handful. How dare these idiots — who barely have the nous to pick their own noses, let alone pick talent — slag him off for that.
I expect our midfield of Fletcher, Giggs and Rooney to dominate proceedings.
Jones on the bench.
I’d play Park on the left, but Young may start.
Up front is Danny, or if not fit, then Nani!
Else, it’s Jones in the middle with Rooney up front.
Else, it’s something else.
I don’t think Pogba is in any position to hold the club to ransom. The lad undoubtedly has talent and I do hope he stays and that all this gossip is nothing more than scurrilous and ill-founded rumor-mongering.
Having said that, there does appear to be an emerging trend of this behavior in the lad’s life. As you all know, a judge appointed by FIFA cleared United of any wrong-doing when he joined us from Le Havre. But his move to Le Havre from Torcy was not free of controversy either, and now we have this business with Shitty. So potentially, he will have gone through three contentious transfers, and he is not yet 19.
Like I said, I hope there’s nothing to it, and that all these gripes from previous clubs are no more than the whines of sore losers. I do sincerely hope we are not witnessing the emergence of another Carlos The Troll.
StatesideAussie, the putrid stench can be no worse combusted.
Anyway, moving on, maybe the plague of trolls is attributable to the love that flowed when Rooney was still a Legend in his own time. Loved Rooney, loved swamps, now trolls swamp blogs.
Bog off!
(all in good humour, of course!)
@King Eric, Re Tunni, yeah mate, apart from you, who I trust implicitly for all things reserves, Ole has also been raving about Tunni for a long time. That is one of the reasons he first came to my limelight and since then I’ve been following him on Twitter which has been an absolute pleasure. Seems like a level-headed bloke and has proper passion for United as well which you cannot buy.
@Sandeep, Thanks for the wishes in the last thread mate. I am doing great as always and hope you are doing good as well.
Let’s fucking do City in January and get our revenge!
Having studied 4 different sports modules at university I can safely say that the phrase of.
“If he doesn’t want to play for us then fuck him.” are going to be heard more and more.
Football has lost pretty much all of its corinthian values. The whole aspect of playing for the shirt is almost a myth. These young players from poor backgrounds like Pogba want to make a fast buck and to be honest which young person at the age doesn’t in any profession. Not condoning what he’s supposedly doing, but to me personally it looks like that his agent has said something on the lines of,
“The coaches think you’re awesome, Fergie has said so publicly so has Scholes and they pinched you of Le Havre which shows that they rate you. The offer the supposed biggest club in the world has made you is peanuts, look at what clubs X, Y and Z will offer you! In all fairness make as much money as you can earn as soon as you can. One bad tackle could end your career like Dean Ashton or Ben Collett. You don’t want to look back and say to yourself, Why did I take £15K a week when I could have 3 times as much. Don’t get me wrong United are huge, but you could be spending just as much time on the bench/out of the squad earning more than at United. We could always play hardball like a certain Mr Rooney last year and if not, we move in the summer and get a huge signing on fee as well.”
Having read that back if I replaced United with Spurs and someone said that to me, my head would be turned. Welcome to the Americanised world of sport. Now infiltrating football. Get used to it because its here to stay.
@wayne
“think its obvious mate”
Is it?
“the transfer situation naming players who have failed and not including players who have succeeded”
Read the first 15 comments. @Gora named players who succeeded, I named the ones who failed, to put things into context.
“the whole thing out of context and putting a negative slant on it.”
What did I take out of context?! I said two things: I saw a 17 year-old play three times and didn’t think he was a good bargain.
Idiot.
Now AntiScouser attacks respected RoM stalwart wayne.
You are beyond unwelcome AntiScouser. Stop your shit.
Who cares about city? Basel is what is on my mind. I hope we stand up tonight and be counted. If we play the way I know Manchester United play then Basel might be in for long,long night. COME ONNN UNITEDDD!!!
So, City have a full week to recover, with the welcome midweek refresher of a friendly/reserve kick-about with fellow-ABU liverpool.
United have four days to recover from co-contenders Newcastle.
Never mind, we wouldn’t have it any other way. Strength in adversity.
I care about the city game, dannysoya! I get your drift, though. Tonight’s the night!
Basel on your mind, Clarice?
Anti Scouser … I’m aware of the on-going “debate” you’re embroiled in, though to be honest, I haven’t bothered to read the back-posts and study up on the subject. But why be negative at all? Frankly, it’s a bit rich to say you were only adding “context.” That doesn’t wash at all. What context needs to be added? This is a fan site, ffs. Why should it be appropriate to balance things out with a little negativity, just because someone happened to made a positive statement? I mean, how dare he (whoever “he” was!) say something positive about United, even something that is positive and exaggerated! Oh, the horror of it! And this being a United fan-site, too! I mean, fuck me, what is the world coming to, when fans of a club can go on a fan-site dedidcated to that club and make such outrageous statements of enthusiasm?
However you look at, Sir Alex Ferguson’s record in the transfer market is one of overwhelming success, at any level — youth players, mature players, whatever. OK, so it hasn’t been perfect, so fuck me rotten. But by any rational measure, whether based on simple experience, commonsense or some deeper knowledge of the underlying issues, SAF’s has been the best there is for 25 years. There is nothing you can say that will change that, and any attempt to do so is only guaranteed to get people’s dander up. So why would you do that? And why would you then bitch about the response?
@smartalex
You are respected as much as jaap stam’s hair.
Had a chance to google this Mateo Kovacic now i’m home. Dinamo have slapped a 10 million price tag on him to scare off Arsenal. And the player favours Manchester Utd who are favorites to sign him.
We paid 12.4 million for an 18 year old Ronaldo. 10 million might be a tad ott but in todays transfers its nothing. I appreciate the caution but I’d hate it if he did make the grade and ended up costing us 20+ million or even going to Shitty or Barca. Football transfers are a risk just look at 50 million Torres, no one could ever have thought he’d be struggling. Andy Carroll hasn’t really settled at Liverpool yet and theres nothing to say he ever will. I can go back Further Charlie Nicholas at Arsenal. I remember the Arsenal fans singing What a waste of money. All teams have had a fair share of transfer flops.
That shit Richard Madeley is droning on, on sky sports news. Just had to laugh tho. A Bayern fan was interviewd in Manchester, He said Shitty don’t really have any good players.
Classic.
@stateside
The thing is, I wasn’t being negative at all. For the final time, I only said I thought the boy couldn’t cut it at United (having seen him play many times).
How is that negative?
Sorry but Utd have to play against Basel

‘We also bought Bebe, Djemba Djemba, Bellion and Obertan. All young and “talented”.’
This is where I personally thought you were being negative antiscouser.
I’m sure Japp Stam respected his hair when it was gone.
@James21
I can imagine after all the propaganda.
I’m sorry if I’ve opened old wounds with that remark, but it was said with the best intention: I wanted to argue how it wasn’t always a good idea to invest in youth. I think the point stands.
I am the Stam heir, apparently. Pass go, collect 200. Way to monopolise!
Non-stop with the bored games, huh? Go play with snakes on a ladder, amuse yourself.
Perhaps the reason you’re not fitting in is: you don’t.
@smartalex
Perhaps the reason you can’t stop trolling is: you’re a troll.
Ignore my comments, both of us will be happy.
I did ignore you. You were arguing with other people. I hadn’t posted.
Out of the blue you attacked my first post, giving compliments to members of this blog.
So listen here you fucking cock-sucking cunt, you attacked me. You still keep talking to me.
You should admit that your destruction of my comment was unwarranted.
Apologise, then shut your cunt mouth about it.
You keep on about being entitled to express, and you don’t want abuse.
You’re the cunt that abused my friendly, polite and respectful expression.
You’re a fucking cunt.
Now. Leave me alone. I’m focussing on United’s game.
James
Loving your line up for tonight mate, although I’d stick Robbo in the middle with scholes. All other positions you’ve got spot on.
@notsosmartalex
Amazing, you can properly spell the word “cunt”. Minor achievement, achievement nonetheless. Who knows what’s next? GCSEs?
1 David De Gea
4 Phil Jones
5 Rio Ferdinand
3 Patrice Evra
12 Chris Smalling
24 Darren Fletcher
11 Ryan Giggs
18 Ashley Young

10 Wayne Rooney
Leave Antiscouser alone,he is big enough to cross the road.Lets just keep to our team n discuss our winning ways as we try ro analyse who we should sign a week before this game if we are to beat $hitty.Cheerz all regulars
According to latest newspapers, that’s the starting line-up today. Looks good. Think we’ll win this one by a couple of goals. This is the day to prove our doubters wrong, like Chelsea did yesterday.
AntiScouser you wasn’t adding context at all you were being a snide cunt so fuck off,trying to manipulate the negative shit doesn’t work.If you think anyone with a IQ is buying that you’re the idiot mate.
Mike
although Cantona could Kung Foo kick the ball off the line. Thats a good call for Midfield.
I had toyed with the idea of either VDS or the Great Dane in goal and almost settled for Paddy Roach
@ Balaji
Add Ebank Blake to that midfield to play offensive n Tunni will do all the dirty work n we are good to go.
Certain posters have ruined RoM for the past couple of days. With this Blog going down in terms of quality lately ( no quick reactions,no reactions, no view from the enemy, no random blog posts by StR, Giles is keeping this boat afloat of late.)
Matchday is aweful on here,either StR loves twitter or he attends every game which is good enough reason for his disapearances but the fella set the standard high, still the best blog site around.
I love some of the posters on RoM, but the trolls coming in on a daily basis going native then turning on Utd is getting silly, The best thing about this site is the United community within the blog from all over the world.
I can see why KE took a break from this b/s recently.
@wayne
Your nickname suggests an IQ comparable to that of a Man United center forward with the receding hairline (read: < 85).
antiscouser
I kind of mentioned it in my 1st post about being negative.
Anyways we have a match to win.
UTD UTD UTD. COME ON REDS!
AntiScouser – Always on about people’s level of education.
You have called several of us ‘idiot’ and claim a higher education.
You even imply that your earnings are due to your diligence.
You constantly claim superiority, decry your diminished image, and plead for equality.
Cunt, anyway you spell it.
AntiScouser
Yesterday you said the bottom line is that you love United.You should stick to that, i’m not singling you out but you should probably get of smartalex and co’s back. You don’t like each other. Fair one. But what about that singular thing that brings everyone on here? Most of your posts are personal ones with next to nothing on United.Keep it United.
@smartalex
You can make it all stop if you leave me alone. I’m not going to let you call me a cunt, get it?
@James21
Looking forward to the game. Hope the defence remains solid.
@slim
I’m trying to do that. I missed the game on Saturday (was told I didn’t miss much), but I hope we can provide the goods tonight. Hope Nani and Young have a good night.
Jones!!!
Like I said mate any IQ is good enough to figure you out
Good evening Lovely Red Devils around the world,
match day and to see us play, priceless..
Bring on the Basel bash, we gonna rip them tonight to start our usual December mentality…
Giggsy will be the KEY PLAYER TONIGHT, MARK MY WORDS
i am a united fan, but really i dont think United are anywhere near City’s level at the rate they are playing now. Unless United players can sort themselves together to get back to their form as in the beginning of the season, or SAF bring in some reinforcements (attacking mid and striker i think), then say goodbye to the league title, FA cup and UCL.
I wouldn’t be surprise if United end the season trophyless.
Seriously, how long can you get away with winning 1-0??? We’d up relying on City to have a dip in their form, which is unlike the United that we know. The United that always sets the pace and standard in the league.
Hate to say this, but City’s millions of investment are starting to pay off. Granted that it might be a short term success, but how can we let our noisy neighbour be better than United. HOW???? I hate to use the excuses such as “they have the money” or “they have the players” etc. United have the class and experience. We should be the best regardless!!!!!!!
SAF, please FFS, DO SOMETHING!!!
We look very clueless at the final 3rd of the attack. Clueless and idealess. What’s up with that? what happened?????
I saw this line-up suggested in the Guardian: De Gea, Smalling, Rio, Vidic, Evra, Jones, Fletcher, Nani, Valencia, Young, Rooney.
Seems right to me.
@izzy
I understand your concern, but calm down
There is a long way to go, City will slip up sooner or later
On this thread alone you have been rude to CedarsDevil, smartalex, Gora, mikekelly12, and wayne. Also, you have been snide about Bebe, Djemba Djemba, Bellion, Obertan, and Stam.
You keep on making out as though as soon as we stop moaning at you you will stop being rude but that is a lie. People are fooled, and think ‘they should just stop’ but you are a wum. It never stops. You attack United and us. You are not reasonable. You are a snide con artist.
You are cosying up every chance you get, but you cursed CedarsDevil and other respected members. You claim to be much better than us. You keep on about IQ. You are not better than us. Your United IQ is certainly barely evident.
@AntiScouser
just dont insult the players or anyone on here and try to get along, thats all
@Sandeep1878
I agree, think Giggsy will be the one today.
lzzy spot on I won’t be happy untill some Arab pays 2 bill for the club and Utd start signing Rent boys something for the club to be proud of
John Terry in a 2006 interview:
“I met Alex Ferguson – great to meet.
During the school holidays I would go
up to Manchester and train with their
boys for two weeks, play a few games
and come home. “But one thing that was really special
about Man Utd was that Alex Ferguson
took time out and invited me to one of
their games and to have lunch with
their players. I was Man Utd(fan) growing up. You
know what it’s like when you’re a boy,
you want to support the team that’s
winning everything. And my dad and
grandad were Man Utd fans.”
Happy Birthday John Terry Thank you for your slip, we’ll never forget it! :p :p

@smartalex
You’re obsessed and exaggerating. I’m claiming none of those things. I’m using parody/sarcasm as a defence mechanism.
You’re boring everbody. Just stop, I’m ordering you.
Anti Scouser … my comment that you had negative comments was based purely on your own post, wherein you said, “I named the ones who failed, to put things into context.” I tend to characterize “naming the ones who failed” as somewhat negative, but hey, maybe that’s just me. Going back over the original, earlier posts, I can see that you were naming “the ones who failed” in order to make an argument that we shouldn’t splash money on (another) “kid”. That’s an opinion you’re entitled to, of course. I haven’t seen the kid in question, so I have no opinion on whether such a fee would be merited or not.
But I do know that this club has a long and proud tradition of bringing young players through the ranks. Not all of them have worked out, and it would be totally unrealistic to expect that they would. (In fact, to expect as much success as we have actually achieved, would be totally unrealistic too.) In one sense, it could be argued such an approach is inherently risky — that every young player is a gamble. Though, having thought about it, I would argue that it actually isn’t a gamble at all. If you set expectations that are realistic (meaning: they can probably be achieved), then the “failures” aren’t “failures” — they do not represent “risk gone bad” or a “failed gamble”, they are simply “the cost of doing business”. Or, if you prefer, part of the “investment” that you have to make in order to stand a realistic chance of capturing that talent before someone else does.
I don’t know what would constitute “realistic expectations”, but they would be small. Out of all the raw, young recruits that “get a look in” at United (meaning, they are accepted into some sort of priogram at Carrington, not simply a try-out), less than 1% will turn out to be “potentially useful” to United in the first team, and a minuscule fraction of those will become superstars (or even “very good” players). A larger (but still small) percentage will go on to have fruitful careers at other, less demanding clubs.
The bulk will end up doing something else for a living. But from United’s perspective, they do not represent “failures”. They’re just the “sunk costs” — an investment that you have to make in order to have a chance at sifting out the real stars. Because, as I pointed out earlier, there is no other way to identify the real stars. Some of those who don’t make it, are simply higher profile and have a higher initial cost, but that’s unavoidable. You can’t start with only “rank unknowns”.
That’s why I see your comment as negative. Of course there have been “failures” — if that’s how you want to classify the kids who don’t make it, who don’t fall into that 0.01% we’re looking for (shame on them, eh). But so what?
United’s youth and academy system has been by far the most successful in England. Nine former United players are in the English football Hall of Fame — more than double the number of our most successful competitor (which is West Ham), who have only four. Not only that, but all five of this club’s all-time appearance-makers (Ryan Giggs, Sir Bobby, Bill Foulkes, Paul Scholes and Gary Neville) came through that system.
This is a fine tradition — and one that puts to shame those who prefer to buy their trophies — but it only came to pass because managers like Sir Matt and Sir Alex had the vision to understand that if you want to be the very best, then you have to take “the good” and weed it out until only “the exceptional” are left, and as a natural consequence of that, 99% of the kids won’t make it, but those who do make it will repay you a thousand times over.
My opinion but United broke our own momentum the day we went to Liverpool with the team set up not to lose.We blinked and have only started to recover over the last few weeks.But be in no doubt we have recovered and hopefully that continues tonight.
wayne, hello mate. Big day tomorrow for those who bet on Rooney at the Euro’s.
Or is he going anyway? Watch this space!
Once again Bleacher Report kills me. And because am a tech and website freak I always look at its founders and creation, advertising methods in a way even more inspiration for me than facebook or google. Anyway there’s a brilliant article about realistic signings for Fergie and the versatile signing thing caught my eye
http://bleacherreport.com/articles/968182-manchester-united-transfers-12-realistic-targets-for-fergie-in-january#/articles/968182-manchester-united-transfers-12-realistic-targets-for-fergie-in-january
Izzy
I can see why you are concerned but don’t agree. Too much is being made of Shitty atm, lets see after Christmas when the pitches are like ploughed fields and their injuries start mounting. You always hear fans and the Media say Arsenal play the Best football but what have they won for 6 years. Mark my words The Shit Richard Madeley will be collecting his p45 long before SAF Retires.
1878 Hi dude!
5 Man Utd launch first store in Mumbai How cool is that !!! Ruling India’s and China’s fan base will give Man Utd all the $ they need with FFP rules to hit, there will be loopholes, the rules will readjust a few times over 5 to 10 years and Manchester United with the academy, buying young talent to develop and and the occasional deal Like Rio, Rooney, Berba and Hargo every 3 to 4 years to fill in the spots with some mid range guys like Vida, Evra and Tony V.
The team is in transition and still one of the top teams in the world. SAF is putting together a team for the next 7 years peaking in 2 to 3 years and powering on for 4 to 5 years wining many trophy’s.
@wayne
I am hearing sarcasm in your respond. I agree that is not THE solution. But again, you can’t let the current quality of United’s play to be of no concern??? In modern football, you HAVE to invest to produce result. To what extend is a matter of debate, but that much we know is true.
look at Barca and Real Madrid, do they pay cheap? I mean they still produce good homgrown players, but they bring in good players too. Look at the level that they are playing now.
Like i said, the players should sort this situation out, because we know what they’re capable of, and we know for sure they’re far better players than those City merceneries.
I hope we get out form back ASAP. By the look of it, our problem is in the offensive part of play.
I think we still need to buy one player. That player which add extra dimension. Rooney needs a partner. He is now a lone gun. You can see it from his body language that he is not happy with his teammates recently.
We need ONE really good player. And that, my friend will not be cheap.
@stateside
I don’t see what your point is. I wasn’t saying our youth policy is a failure. The manager’s made some mistakes, he’s the first one to admit it. I don’t want him to make another expensive one, that’s all.
DECEMBER 7, 2011 AT 18:18
StatesideAussie YES!!! What he say’s!!!
smartalex I’d rather take Rooney for one game than Crouch or Bent for any.Englands strikers are woeful no way Rooney will be left out
Izzy,
you are mistaken mate,
agreed City are flying high, i m not taking anything from their shows so far,
but a real UNITED fan would know the resielent character the club and players have to overcome any challenge..
this is December and history says we always improve and kick on from now on..
This is a club built on principles and ethics, for that i woouldnt mind if there is a trophy drought..
but i for one, would never like us going down the path of City, they arent just spoiling the game but they are spoiling themselves as well (not that i bother one bit)..
so hold on my friend,
with the loss of VDS, Scholesy, RedNev, JOS, Big bad Wes plus the injuries have been lot to take at once,
we could have bought proven players in wholesale and started winning all over again,
but that is now how we do it and that is what we should be and we will be..
just wait for these young lads to build on the momentum and experience,
you will see us back to ruling the bloody world again,
until then, we gotta wait, even if it meant winning ugly,
if other clubs face the situation of what we arevfacing today, i would be suprised if they stay in top ten..
we arent at our powerhouse best, but still we are good enough to give a good run for the money..
Manchester United
Sky reporting: FA charges Liverpool’s Luis Suárez with improper conduct and Loserfool charged with not controlling their players after the Spearing send off. Well done douche bags.
Zibbie with a powerful post 18:26. Wow!
Said so much in 5 words. Way to go, Zibbie!
Zibbie,
how are you pal..all fine with fishing?
read about that merchendise..
Its a good thing, many Manchester United fans in India and at the same many plastics as well..
i have a feeling that, India will provide the leading viewership for EPL in the whole of Asia in the next 5 years..
the football craze here is selling faster than condoms..
so one can expect, lot of Man City fans in India in few years, may be more than City fans in Manchester
wayne – Do you reckon that they’ll reduce the ban? They won’t want to, but bottom line on the balance sheet suggests that they will. Reduce the severity of their findings, and his shame, so the video games don’t require re-branding.
I’m so with you lads and Man Utd not going after rent Boyz’s. I do thank Roman and now The Sheikh for raising the bar to win the PL and giving SAF a reason to live and beat your ass’s back to where you belong. The whole time doing it the Man Utd way. In 2003 when I became a crack head for the PL and Manchester United the Gunners did the undefeated thing and the cunting professor made me puke. The the Russian mob $$$$ raising the bar to 90 fucking points to win the PL, SAF lets Becks, Keano and Ruud go and R&R took over and off BAMM FUCKING 4 OF 5 PL 3 CL FINALS AND 1 CL TITLE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The next great team to win 6 of 8 PL titles and 3 CL titles!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Izzy – nothing like a healthy dose of DOOM an hour before a huge game!
and does anyone dare to say Sir Alex doesnt have a vision..
at least, he is 3-5 years ahead than these pretending best managers in the world..
1878 the next fishing will be ice fishing. hehe
Smartalex so good to see you back, so missed you standing up for reason. I missed you when this troll went after Cedars like 5 weeks ago. My typing skill have gotten better, But it is exhausting for me to keep up with fast typing trolls.
United line up:
De Gea; Smalling, Vidic, Ferdinand, Evra; Park, Jones, Giggs, Nani; Rooney, Young
I expect us to line up similar to Villa after Chicha got injured, with Nani up front. That is also what I predicted this morning after seeing Jeet’s line up who got everything right except Young for Fletcher.
Hi everyone!!
My boy’s injury, I’ll miss your smile and goals, but I hope that Welbeck has an extraordinary night if he plays today. Come on United!!
@Sandeep1878
Thanks for your respond and comment my fellow comrade.
You and the other here are the testament of this Great Football team. Its amazing that the high optimism, professionalism and mental strength run deep in the foundation of the Club down to the grass root fans.
No other (or very very few) club have fans like this.
Having said that, sometimes we still have to analysis things realistically. I mean, IF we are just having that temporary dip in form like we always do, then convince me, what is it that will make us get up on our feet and play fantastic football again? Is it when the injuries are gone? is it the change in tactics? or is it just plain old Braveheart moment of motivational speech that SAF is well known for?
The reason i am concern is that i want to know what the club is doing to get back up again? I know some of you will say, SAF will know what to do or the players will get around this. But really, what does it take to get AROUND it?
I am sorry, but i still think we need one more deadly talented player. The player that Rooney can play and anchor upon. Either that or one of our midfielder need to really step up and take that responsibility, which right now i dont think any of them are doing that.
Then again, maybe you are right, we are missing ando and cleverly in that position……..
new thread up pals
Fred hehe, If you have seen Kelly’s Heroes Sunderlands charter had a negative mechanic.
There you go Moriarty ALWAYS WITH THE NEGATIVE VIBES!!!!!
Zibbie, it’s impossible to keep up with them mate!
They don’t discuss an issue, they look for openings.
As you defend one jab, they launch another, usually unrelated to the first. You soon realise that they are not discussing your views at all, but merely trying to prove their intellect.
Your improved typing skills will be far better utilized spreading good cheer with humour.
Thanks mate!
Hey all, regular follower of Rom but never post so this is a first! Some things to get off my chest- firstly, its great to be able to come on here and gage the feelings and thoughts of reds worldwide, regulars like cedars/smartalex/costas etc its great to see you share the same pasion as myself!! Secondly- this blog is geting worse by the day, with all due respect if someone like antiscouser has an opinion which differs from regulars dont call the guy a troll or whatever, we dont all have to blindly follow and accept that whateve utd/fergie does is the right thing. Fergies a hero/legend etc but for christ sake the guys human and gets it wrong every now and then and its not wrong for people like me who spend hard earned cash watching utd to voice an opinion when he does get it wrong and you have no right to tell me im anti utd or a troll!! Its plain to see fergies stubon sometimes, we need a cm but because everyone knows this he sticks to his guns and keeps faith with average players like carrick/gibson/evans (no there not scapegoats, just not our quality) so im going to go back to not writing and just reading, so for fuck sake keep it united and keep it realistic.
In life there are optimists and pessimists and even those that are paranoid,but as long as they support Man Utd they should be heard.Please folks,bury the hatchet.That’s all I ask for.
Izzy,
I do understand the insight you are giving on the current situation with us,
but then i again, i would just go back to the start of the season, when Tom was in,
I would say to this extent that, few games played in the beginning of the season were better than Ronaldo days..
so one can see that the future is there, we were in great tempo that time and its hard to continue that all the season..
regarding your point on a new signing..
I think lot of it depends on how Tom Cleverly will fare when he comes back from injury..
the stats showed that Ando was still the top ten midfielders of REPL this season before he got injured..
so the fitness of Tom is really crucial because the lad is simplt class apart,
not to put too much pressure on him, but he was immense, he showed every potential that he can be that driving force in midfield..though he never looks like the boss of midfield, he still bossed it..
it reminds of scholesy the legend,
“practice hard, play, shower and go home”..
that ever expected ” BIG NAME SIGNING IN MIDFIELD” will depend on Tom,
if he ticks the consistecny box like he did, then i would assume Sir Alex wont go for any big name until Giggsy hangs up the boots..
Young is pretty new, we all expect him to be more consistent and truly world class as he migrates to our team..and yes he can be the supplier for Rooney..
Regarding what does it take get AROUND IT?
I think time, experience, big games and gelling of the players over the period of time will get us around it..
i m not sure if i tried to come close to what you were seeking,
but with a club like our’s and the track record we have of winning, its really complex to satisfy many fans when there is transition or blip or drought..
but i know you are not one of them, but i understand your concern mate
@Sandeep1878
Thanks mate, very good respond.
I just hope Tom fits the bill. Ando is there to guide him. Flecth will be there to cover if he gets injured again i think. As for Pogba, Carrick is his mentor. I really hope Pogba get more games next season. its a shame that Carling cup is over for us, because i think it is the best platform for him to condition himself with playing in England at the highest level.
Izzy,
welcome pal,
Regarding Pogba,
yeah the carling cup is our platform for youngsters to be tested,
so i dont mind if we go in cup games with very young squad every season irrespective of the result and cunt ABU…
if they dont play, they dont lose, if they dont lose, they dont learn..
becoming great will have to go through lot of failures if needed…
cheers pal and enjoy the Basel bash, we goona win tonight..catch you
Anti Scouser … When someone said “we should buy this player”, your response was that we shouldn’t do that because the manager has made mistakes before. But mistakes are inevitable. To say SAF shouldn’t do something, because he sometimes gets it wrong, is silly because he very often gets it right, and the rewards of getting it right far, far outweigh the downside of getting it wrong, and in any event, mistakes cannot be avoided. You did not merely say that Sir Alex has made mistakes (which would have been true but also self-obvious), you went further: you used that fact to make an argument that he should not buy a certain new player.
But if we follow that logic to its ugly conclusion (“we should not buy player X because we’ve made mistakes before”), we would never buy any player unless we can be sure it’s not a mistake — which is impossible. Since it’s not possible to be infallible, a policy of “do not invest in any player unless we are sure he will be successful” would cause us to shut down our youth program (what other effect could it have?). That would be insane, undesirable and completely unnecesary. And it’s an old (but perfectly valid) rule of logic that if an argument leads to conclusions that don’t make sense, then the argument must be invalid, which yours is.
Also, I did finally go back and peruse the earlier comments, and it is quite clear that you provoked SmartAlex. He said nothing to you prior to that, either directly or indirectly — you targeted him without provocation and therefore deserve everything you get.
United99 – Fair enough pal but Carrick is not average. Infact since his arrival he has played more games in midfield than any other and been our most consistent. You will see tonight how average he is when we miss him. I just cannot believe folk say he isnt good enough. He has been excellent of late. The most experienced and intelligent player we have in that position and always has been. Reads the game. Intercepts. Blocks. Positionally top drawer. Breaks play up. Both footed. Great passer. Great one and two touch player and a great shield. Not average at all imo.
Read this a year ago almost,and stumbled across it again.Pretty damn funny.

@ Cedars
Yes i am …. i live in Beirut to
Better get used to these Sunday games now that we’re in the Europa League.
Wow, never thought I’d say that.
United99 and Udhala
Thank you both for politely expressing your dismay at the ugly remarks from myself, AntiScouser, and others. You are right. There is nothing being gained by anyone, and the happy vibe is tarnished, if not destroyed.
I do apologise to all that read my comments.
As an explanation, not an excuse, I offer the following:
- I always wish and try to remain upbeat, especially about United
- I despise those who claim to be fair, entitled to moan, and mistreated; yet are liars.
- I treat the scathing attacks on United and our regulars with fair contempt.
- Those wind-up merchants focus their divisive attention on responders like me.
- I retaliate, usually at the heart of the matter, uncompromisingly, and often unremittingly.
- The wum’s aim becomes ‘divide and conquer’, and a sequence of seemingly reasonable posts attempt to curry favour amongst onlookers.
I’d like to be clear. My reaction to those who mock or attack United and RoM is NOT designed to please or satisfy anyone. In fact, I know that many people will dislike me for it. That goes with the territory. I do not and will not stand by watching those bastards attacking us. Protecting those you love comes at a cost. I give my life to that which I love.
Allowing attacks for fear of disrupting harmony is tantamount to supporting the slander.
Be happy! You are not the one who is being attacked, or despised for defending United.
