Last season we played all the top ten teams away from home during the first half of the season, leading to big complaints from our lot. Whilst of course this meant we had the easier teams in the second half of the season, we were still put at a disadvantage. Pyschologically the season could have been made a lot more difficult for us, if Liverpool and Chelsea had made the most of their easier fixtures before Christmas, and also, United play better in the second half of the season anyway.
City and Arsenal at home within the first two months, then Liverpool and Chelsea away in the next two. December and January sees fairly easy games, before the tougher fixtures come in March and April.
The fixtures have been published today and seem more even. They can’t be shown in full here, but you can see them on the official site.
What do you think of them?

Wow! i’m looking forward to next season!
I am worried about the first 3games, because they look very easy, but what we had been doing recently, we didnt get good results against in those games!
im liking the look of these two months..
December
Sat Dec 5 West Ham A
Sat Dec 12 Aston Villa H
Tue Dec 15 Wolverhampton Wanderers H
Sat Dec 19 Fulham A
Sat Dec 26 Hull City A
Mon Dec 28 Wigan Athletic H
January
Sat Jan 9 Birmingham City A
Sat Jan 16 Burnley H
Tue Jan 26 Hull City H
Sat Jan 30 Arsenal A
A chunk of consecutive fixtures we should be expected to win except last one possibly a draw.. cant wait to august now
I’d rather have started against a team thats been in the Premiership for a while… A predictable team, you never know how Birmingham will be, there’s always one team that kicks up a surprise on the first day of the season!
Agree RE december – any team thats close come the end of Nov and then goes on a winning run over Dec & Jan usually finds themselves in a great position – our last few seasons show as much.
Tough last two months tho
Just like last year, December and January could be the perfect time to get going.I hope that by then, the team will have gelled together.
I have absolutely no complaints about that fixture list… I was hoping for the dippers at home early in the season so we can put them back in their little box, but I suppose that can wait.
Let me try a FSW here. “Clearly United are in an advantageous position since they are not playing any of their games on Sunday. Everyone knows in Spain that any team that does not have a game on Sunday (except the last week) wins the league. The FA have manipulated and that is a FACT!”
Shafted again…..Playing the dippers and chelsea-both away- on weekend following champions league games….pricks!!!
They are after Ch.League games?FA cunts.I can’t believe that we will have to wait a full year to pay them back for the 4-1 loss. The fixtures are ok.Now we have to get the players required.
Personally, I’m not too concerned about those CL games. It’s only the group stages. It will only really be an arse if the CL game is Weds and we play them early on Sat.
Has anyone noticed that during the last week in Jan thru to April 24th we play only 1 game at home and thats to the dippers! how did that happen. also we play 4 away games in a row, I thought the max was 2.
@scott – you know the fa wil do that, united liverpool at anfield is always a saturday early kick off.
also, seeing as the fixtures arent fixed (honest), how coem united always play the dippers in september/october then in march?
Json B – Yes the maximum is two. I have not seen them yet as busy but are you sure we play 4 away on bounce? Dippers in March AGAIN!
JsonB – Have just looked. you must be mistaken mate as we only play 2 away on the trot.
Ooo play liverpool 2 days before my birthday at OT.
Potential birthday present there..
I got out of my exam and went straight on my phone to find out the fixtures
Have to say im quite pleased!
not the best fixtures we can have honestly…
the first few games would be where nothing can be lost, because right into September that string of Arsenal-Tottenham-City would be 3 games that we definitely wont want to flunk (a strengthened Tottenham and City side, that is)
Liverpool and Chelsea (A) after CL is certainly not the most ideal, hope that those CL games will be played at home so it’s at least closer to home.
just a side note: according to the fixture, we are facing Hull twice right within a month’s time (Dec 26 and Jan 26). seems strange to me.
yeah sorry about that. thatll teach me to believe the bbc website. they have corrected this now.
@unitedgirl15:Hope your exam went well..
@Costas:Thanks for the link.
Nice fixtures.I just wanna fast forward to October 24.Need to make them shut up.
We’ve got a relatively easy start of the season and no back-to-back derby games, which is good. March and April are going to be really frantic, especially if we’re still in the CL and FA Cup competitions – and that’s the way you want the season to end anyway.
No complaints about the fixtures – games look quite even throughout the campaign.
Bring on Aug 15th!
we play liverpool away on rooneys birthday..lolol..should be fun.
Jack..and that was the day we ended Arsenal’s unbeaten run..lol
this hope it gives us good luck cherry lol i’ll feel gutted if we lose on rooneys birthday, legend.
and guess what November 7 is my Birthday..check that out on the fixture list lol..hoping for a present lol
Off topic:Any WWE fans on here??I know ghtt and Costas are,I don’t know about the rest.
MVP entered Raw wearing a United jersey.Did anyone know he’s a football and United fan??He’s got a Cantona jersey, and he knows enough about football to want Vinnie Jones to sign the picture where Jones is squeezing Paul Gascoigne’s bollocks.
A new entrant in my favourite wrestler’s list.
PS:Sorry for the off-topic post,Scott.Please don’t ban me.
Boogeyman you are welcome about the link. The previous WWE-Football connection i can remember is Shane McMahon calling out Jose Moutinho, who of course denied.LOL.
WE GOT CHELSEA ON YOUR BIRTHDAY THEN CHERRY LOL . my birthdays 22nd decemeber, no1 playing on that
@Costas:Oh yeah,I remember that. That was too funny!!But MVP is now one of my favourite wrestlers.
@Scott:Are you not allowed to post the fixtures because of the FA??Because I read somewhere that you have to pay them some money to use the team crests and to post fixtures.
i cant see any run of 4 away games, and we have pool away and at home after champs league matches, so its the same for them and we both have chelsea away after a cl game, whereas they also have arsenal at home after a cl game so no real complaints there.
ones in bold here are def games after champs league

new member so take it esay on me. I think we can go for 4 in a row overtake the dippers even without ronny roll on next season.
april could be tricky
Willierednut – Welcome mate!
willierednut-Welcome!!
This is the dippers year!!!!!!!
@ willierednut – welcome mate
mancstan – Ha Ha, Yeah I know they are all saying that it is gonna be their season ………………………………………………………………………………………
Again!!
Meanwhile they are moaning that they have been handed difficult fixtures.
score 4 or 5 past Brum and we should be on our way.
@boogeyman
im a fan of wwe, but hated MVP till now lol!!!
i like dec and jan, but hull away on boxing day might be tough i just hate boxing day fixtures for some unkown reason, the rest of the fixtures for them 2 months should be 3 points nothing less….can we do that?
Oooodz why are you smiling O.O
