United’s Post Match Brawl With Chelsea

Patrice Evra vs ChelseaPatrice Evra is carrying a yellow in the Champions League, meaning another booking against Barcelona on Tuesday would see him miss the final. It therefore made sense to see Mikael Silvestre line up against the rent boys today, giving him some match time against difficult opposition ahead of the semi final.

After the game today, where United were denied points due to a late penalty for the rent boys, our lads kicked off with the Chelsea groundstaff. First they couldn’t control their players, no they can’t control their groundstaff.

Patrice Evra, Paul Scholes, John O’Shea, Gerard Pique and Gary Neville were all taking part in a warm-down following the final whistle, when the Chelsea groundstaff told them to leave the pitch.

The United lads refused to move and a fight broke out, with the Chelsea stewards also getting involved.

Watched the game here in Korea – couldn’t understand the team selection. Can anyone explain it to me? I know the second leg is coming up but surely you secure the league first before any cup competition? That being the case, you pick your best team – not one with Silvestre, Fletcher and Nani. I hate to say it, but we almost deserved to lose with that team SAF sent out today.

  2. Tone says:

First of all, is it not perfectly common to have warm-down session, and is it therefore not chelsea’s responsibility that we get time to do that?
Secondly, I’ve now seen to pictures of this and in both it is their staff being held back, not our players. We already now Chelsea can’t control their players, why would they be able to control staff…?

Sadly United tend to fook up really badly when they enter a situation like this and I cannot see us winning the title now and it will be like 1995 and 1998 all over again not to mention 1992.
We were not there to win today and can only blame ourselves and I can see Chelsea beating us to the championship and in the champions league final but I think Barca will upset us like Real Madrid did a few years back.

How many games in a row has Ronaldo been shiite? The Rooney goal was lucky. The boys in red acted like thugs most of the game, almost as if they wanted to mimic Chelsea…But get over it fellas, take your beating with style and grace. I’m sure Fergie will be happy to hear Wenger’s commiseration at his misfortune…LOL!

  5. Scott the Red says:

Joel – I’m amazed you have time to post on a football blog. Isn’t there a street corner you should be standing on, rent boy?

Chelsea play Liverpool, United then Liverpool in a span of 8 days while United play Barca, Chelsea and Barca in the span of 6. Add to that the fact that United travelled to Spain, that they were playing away from home today, a few refereeing decisions , that Vidic was kicked out of the game within the first ten minutes and United ended up playing with 3 wingers as their attackers because Rooney came off injured. Chelsea came back home on Tuesday night, had Wednesday, Thursday and Friday to prepare for this game, were playing at home, and got some major decisions go for them.
    The decisions:
Rooney was clearly onside at around the 25th minute that would have sent him through clean on goal
Carrick’s hand wasn’t above his head for the handball. You can’t expect him to lift his leg up with his hands pinned to his side.
And Chelsea’s reaction to Ashley Cole kicking Ronaldo from behind was disgraceful. You look at it from the perspective of the ref. Cole lunged in from behind. Even if you want to give him a yellow card, how can you when four Chelsea players are in your face screaming at you? You’re intimidated and regret that you gave the decision. Would you dare even give Cole a card when Terry and Ballack (as always) are screaming in your face?
Ballack grabbing Ronaldo was a clear penalty just like last week the challenge on Berbatov was but a penalty at Stamford Bridge given to Ronaldo of all people? Impossible.
At extra time, Rio gets the ball outmuscling Mikel. Mikel is huge but falls over like a feather. Ref blows it. Okay, fine. But Terry does the same thing to O’Shea two minutes later but the referee obviously didn’t give it. Should a penalty be judged any differently from an attackers foul inside the area? Because if so, either O’Shea should’ve gotten a penalty or Rio would’ve had the ball inside the Chelsea box with everyone else inside the area.

Sorry for the rant but I needed to say this

I still think Manchester United wiill win the title. More deserving and certainly more talented than the rent boyz. I wish Arsenal hadnt blown it.

If Manchester United cannot beat West Ham at home and Wigan away then we don’t deserve the title. I am not saying Chelsea would deserve it, I believe that with Tuesdays game played, if we are to go to Moscow there is a 10 day break between the last game of the Premier League and the Final. That should give us a license to go all out against the last 2 opponents in the League.

We didn’t do too badly at the Bridge, as OMelhorDoMundo pointed out in many examples, we were never favourites for the game. We get luck, sometimes good other times shite but we have 2 games to win the league.

The thing that disappoints me is the way the whole thing has been blown out of proportion with Rio and the other post match shennigans!

    Totally agree with Tom.

If we cant beat West Ham at home and a Wigan team who will probably be safe by the last day, we dont deserve it.

I will be so annoyed if chelski nick it not only cos we’ve looked likely all season but chelsea fans dont deserve it! all season they’ve bitched and moaned about Grant yet now their level with us and on the verge of a CL final their all over him. In general Chelsea fans have no sense of support!

I hope saturday buoys us instead of deflates us for Barca. We need to play the way we have done all season attacking football, last 2 games we played defensively and its cost us!

I’m really optimistic about Tuesday, lets get behind the boys and show are colours!!!

Ronaldo has began to belive his own press and has gone off the boil recently. Perhaps it was the penelty miss, perhaps it’s because he knows regardless of what happens he will be crowned footballer of the year as well as fifa world player of the year…perhaps he just wants to save a little something for the euro championships that most england players will watch on the tellie. Also, lets acknowledge something. Ronnie isn’t a winger anymore, he floats around but for the most part he’s a striker…he also rarely ever tracks back, and when he does lose posession he never ever tries to win the ball back. Now Rooney might miss some chances but at least the man fights tooth and nail to get the ball back.

Ronaldo is a fantastic player, but i think we will find him drop out of games towards the end of the season. This could be because he is being marked heavily and kicked about, but it seems he looks for the foul and throws his hands up more then just scrapping for the ball.

oh, and for the record…Ballack fouled Ronaldo. That was a clear cut penalty and we were robbed of 2 point against CSKA london.

Also…i’m going to shit a brick if Saha isn’t sold this summer. How utterly useless is this man? If ever there was a time to have a fresh striker it’d be towards the end of hard season and once again the man is knocked up with something…mr glass bastard !!!!
