It has been confirmed today that Antonio Valencia has put pen to paper on a new four year deal, which will keep him at the club until 2015.
“I am delighted to stay at United,” he said. “Since my first day at Carrington, I have been happy here. I hope that I can continue to develop as a player. I am looking forward to making my contribution to helping this squad compete for more trophies.”

Man Utd News 24/7

Great news!
cunting BRILLIANT

Great news
Super Tony V raping Ash Cole for another 4 years
brilliant news, great player and role model to kids.
Great news! Good on you Valencia…
The Daily Fail was intent on stirring up trouble a few days ago saying there were problems over image rights..sad cunts..
Great news. Love ya Tony.
Hello Red Devil. Hows tricks?
http://www.metro.co.uk/sport/football/870935-eric-cantona-leaving-manchester-united-was-like-kicking-heroin#ixzz1TizJdNJe
Just on time some articles were starting to make some frivolous speculations citing AY’s arrival as a reason for AV refusing to sign a new deal.
Good lad!
i am happy..

An important lesson in working with footballers: never get between a player and his chicken nuggets…
http://agentoffergie.blogspot.com/2011/08/golden-arches.html
Terrific news, now get fit and running Tony V, we need you.
Nice one, excellent player and it just goes to show that very few of us actually have eyes for a good player as sod all thought Valencia from Wigan was what this club needed. It seemed we should have bought Kaka or whoever was the darling 2-3 years back.
Im always happy and never worried when I read Valencias name on the team sheet. The Denis Irwin of right wingers.
Great news. Like some people have already mentioned, the press were trying to stir things up. Only this morning I read that the deal had hit a snag! Sad cunts! Tony V’s statement is a far cry from the Ballotelli comments on Sky.
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2020874/Retired-Manchester-United-star-Paul-Scholes-turns-charity-game.html
Scholesy loves his publicity, now he wears the shirt of Stalybridge Celtic and takes aparts Dads& their lads. I started missing the ginger prince during this USA Tour and the thought of seeing his No.18 on Young just doesn’t feel right.
Nice one Tony. Another success story involving a youngster from a tough background making it and a role model for young Ravel. I imagine contract negotiations with him would be a breeze. Humble seeming guy. With Rooney looking sharp, lets hope for the old double act to return. Incidentally I’m shit at fifa but last night Tony scored with his left foot from outside the D.
Glad to see Tony’s penned a new deal.
Ashley Cole called the police that night of the CL quarter final. He accused Luis Antonio Valencia of Violently raping him and then repeatedly slapping him up & down, black & blue and dropping him on his arse so much it was left raw and pink. He also went to the hospital that night for a check up and complained of dizzyness, sore throat, anal leakage, Syphiis and double vision of seeing Nani & Valencia Tearing him a new one.
MUST
I am a true United fan and do not need to think the same as my best friend and I make a conscientious decission for myself based on the fact that ARE AVAILABLE. Yes money has been drawn out of the club but it did during Plc days and quite simply its theres to take out.
Please can you tell your Ken Bates spokes person that wild remarks that EVERY United fan is anti-glazer is so far off the mark its untrue. Im happy with what MUST does as I believe in all big business or government there should be a set of brakes to make sure things dont change too quickly and to the detriment of what they’re trying to run. So I tip my hat to MUST and all they’ve done but please don’t allow wild and desperate ramblings derail an otherwise valuable asset to Manchester United and it fans (true or not).
Please officially count me as a fan who is not opposed to the Glazers but actually welcome them with open arms and am striving to give as much of my money away as possible to rid us of the debt. The caretakers (rather than owners) have respect for the club and its history and I for one support them.
1
please add if you are in support of the Glazer caretakership or are atleast not ANTI Glazer. Just so our very own Ken Bates can see the true support to count on.
@King Eric
I’m fine mate…..Thanks!
How are you friend….you better beat some sense into those kids in leeds mate….there’s still time for them to redeem themselves…lol
You’re not a very good teacher are ya if you cant teach them to follow and support the right club! lol
@Goatinaunitedshirt
“The Denis Irwin of right wingers.” – Spot on mate!
Goat
Nicely worded calling Valencia the Denis Irwin of right wingers….No nonsense, gets on with the job and always gives 100%
@Papii, LOL!
Valencia is the kind of person we should be seeing at Old Trafford more often. There was the article from The Guardian which highlighted his tough upbringing and how he overcame a difficult childhood. Stories like that always make your heart warm and fuzzy. I don’t know how many other clubs can boast of similar stories, but even in the past few years, we’ve had Valencia, Hernandez and Bebe all make their dreams come true. All the more reason to love this wonderful club.
Congrats Tony V on the new deal. Never mind the dumbfucks complaining about how one-dimensional you are. They are probably the same people who will wank over Sanchez while he joins a club where he is going to spend more time warming the bench than playing. We want you to stay as long as you can with us and keep whipping those crosses in to Rooney and Hernandez.
Love Tony.
He has renewed his contract with class and minimum fuss, just like he plays his football, and just like he dealt with his injury.
Top lad.
Cedars and Red Devil
An easy comparison to make. We all now that there are and were others with a higher skill set but nobody can argue that the skill set isnt top drawer anyway and that the workrate and commitment far outshine the superstars of the era and more consistantly too. Top top player.
Well done Antonio Valencia! Congratulations! You deserve this new deal.
Red Devil. Me a teacher? No. Ha. I am the groundsman!
No wonder you are so well grounded King Eric!
Am I alone
I thought I was different but come on guys and dolls
@Goat, Is that a new clique you’ve formed to support the Glazers? If so, count me in. After the initial apprehension to their takeover, I’ve consistently been impressed by their business acumen and the way they’re taking the club forward. They never interfere with the football affairs and allow full rein to Sir Alex and David Gill to disperse the funds and bring in new players as we please. The success on the pitch confirms as much and even though there are aspects especially with ticket pricings that they have to allow leeway to the fans, I am content that they’re leading our club and not some two-time millionaire like Al Nahyan or Abramovich.
P.S. :Even if Sneijder doesn’t happen, it won’t be because of unavailable funds, it will be because our ethics don’t allow us to shit money on one player.
Goat
What do you need? A hug?
Cedars yes please, I think Im going to sulk and do some tiling beside the fire.
Balaji
Good on you, dont forget to add a number so its visible for all. Just so we ALL can see what there is for support.
Please note its not support for me, I have no idea what a clique is being old and uninformed. I just think it would be interesting for all of us to guage the opinions of the fans after a prolongued ownership and in respect to openness and fairness. Please people put your vote across afterall you cant really trust a person without any opinion but if your unsure put a draw.
At present 0-0-2
Anti Glazer – Unsure – leaning towards good ownership.
Goat
On a serious note my friend, in all their years of ownership I have seen nothing of concern as a supporter to be honest….. Success on the pitch is what we want as fans and the backing of our great manager which is also there for all to see……
0-0-3
… (leaning towards good ownership) ^
Goat – I want them to fail dramatically in all their financial endeavours, but for the Club to be unscathed, if that is possible. I want them to become very poor and live on porridge. I want the banks to fall apart and for the Rothschilds of this world to lose their grip on Nation’s governments and become an irrelevance as mankind emerges from wage slavery and goes forth, exploring Galaxies and for money to be abolished, like on Star Trek.
world class winger no fuss, thing i noticed when he came back was the instant shape he gave the team.no question big part of utd winning 19,this lad is gold.
King Eric is Carl Spackler that’s fucking awesome.
In my neighborhood, ‘xol’ or ‘zol’ is a joint (of the smoking variety!)
I laugh whenever I see your comments, which are usually remarkably level-headed.
Your latest offering has just enough humor to pass muster!
Carl Spackler: This is a hybrid. This is a cross, ah, Bluegrass, Kentucky Bluegrass, Featherbed Bent, and Northern California Sensemilia. The amazing stuff about this is, that you can play 36 holes on it in the afternoon, take it home and just get stoned to the bejeezus-belt that night on this stuff. Here, I’ve got pounds of this.
xol
To boldly go mate. You dont like them then lol. Make your vote count and put it in the table.
Now it stands 0-0-3
Anti Glazer – undecided – leaning towards good ownership.
Cedars I didnt add you as you have to do it your self.
Im starting this because Ive always been concerned with new fans being leaned on to follow an organisation rather than giving them the space and time to make a decision for themselves. It has been assumed that all United fans are anti Glazer.
Good on you for voting, your helping the new fans.
@ GoatinaUnitedShirt – Can I just say that YOU ARE BORING
@GoatinaUnitedShirt – my views on the matter are well known to the seasoned followers on RoM and they haven’t changed.
So a good point, well made. I’m glad people are starting to get angry with MUST arrogantly assuming that they represent the viewpoints of each and every Manchester United supporter.
Fuck the glazers and must!
I’m a fan of Sir Alex Ferguson!
He gets my vote.
Great news that . . Now that means he ll be tearing ashley hole a new one for four more years
and for the glazers . . I for once didnt think they were holding the club back . .they are just good businessmen who know to make money as well as respect the club’s history, and understand the need for the gaffer to run things his way . . Add me to the group of fans who dont hate them
@King Eric
Ha. Well the ancilliary staff are just as important to the success and fabric of any club/school/institution. Ask the United players and they’ll say that the kitmen, kitchen girls, groundsmen that haven’t changed for so many years are just as important as Eric Steele, Rene, etc to keep the club going like a well slicked machine….
@Goat
They are good owners, much better than some other class of owners I must admit, but the level of debt imposed by them on an erstwhile debt free club is too much and threatens the club with great downside risks in case things went wrong
As Willie says, Sir Alex gets my vote because its due to him that we have been successful for the last few years, not due to any owners or other factors
@ Goat haha it’s been a while since this most confrontational of subjects has been discussed.
One thing I’ve been thinking about is the sheer complexity of it all. You could put anti-glazers into many different camps depending on their stance. For example, the matter of spending £50m on players. How do anti-glazers feel about that? I doubt they/we all feel the same. If you’re very concerned about the debt not being paid off then perhaps you’d like to see that £50m go to the banks, but then the issue of squad strength comes up. so it’s something of a no-win situation for the owners. This in itself splits opinion as some would accept a lack of investment more than others. Then there’s stay away fans, break-away fc types, fans who put their money in to the club to help it etc. All different opinions, but all anti-glazer.
@smartalex – Is that so? I had no idea it meant that. cheers
xol – “could put anti-glazers into many different camps depending on their stance”. Can I just clear this up – I am not accusing Glazers of being nazis.
james says:
@ GoatinaUnitedShirt – Can I just say that YOU ARE BORING
You can certainly say that james and thanks that you took the time out of your oh so interesting and fun packed day to tell me that. You can go back to what your were doing now.
its the same old arguement, from the football side of things Glaziers are great owners,no ego involved, leaves Sir Alex alone and as far as i know never refused him anything, when Sir Alex himself say the Glaziers are good owners, that’s good enough for me.
Again with the debt the anti-glazier/must boys don’t seem to want to face facts Utds value has more than doubled since glaziers bought the club and are pulling away from all other football clubs, this would be impossible if the club was being raped. To the very final point which although repeated never seems to sink in,how many people in the world can forked over 2bill and run the club debt free?.Whoever buys will more than likely have to go into debt so how will utd be better off?,all the must arguements just don’t hold any water from a logical point of view and i really belive alot of the hatred comes from the glaziers being yanks/jews or both.
Goat
My vote?
There’s some manipulation going on here!
Goat – leaning towards good owners as (1) results speak for themselves and (2) I know I am not rich enough to have bought my house on an all-cash basis, and I don’t begrudge them the use of a modest amount of debt (which seems to be at around 1/3 of the vale of the business).
Great news.
@wayne
It seems from where i’m sitting that the anti-glazer movement seems to build momentum whenever things aren’t going well on the pitch.
There was a spell the season before last when the club released the financials revealing the extent of our debt. It also co-incided with a dip in form on the pitch and City’s mercs playing some nice stuff. That’s when I remember it at it’s worst. The media dived all over it, talks of powershifts, the ending of an era and all that…yet here we still are. It’s hardly surprising that there’s been far less complaint from the anti-glazer bandwagon lately now that we’re champions again, 2nd only to ‘the greatest team ever’ TM in Europe and we’re showing ambition in the transfer market.
Our debt situation provides amusing reading for anyone anti-united. It provides hope to all that somehow we’ll crumble and fade like the Dippers did in the 90s and that we’ll be left reminiscing about a period long ago where no one could stop us.
That said, the debt is real… and it is the single greatest threat to our success.
Breaking News: Newcastle United have confirmed Joey Barton has been placed on the transfer list and can leave the club on a free transfer. More on http://www.skysports.com shortly. …off topic but lOOOL at the TWAT who said he had unfinished business , saying NO to man utd when they didnt even want him
dasilvatwins
Barton was reported as saying no to United, with quotes that did not back that assertion.
he tweeted that he didnt want to anywhere the day the united reports in the media came out
Joey7Barton Joseph Barton
Nice to be linked with some big clubs today but I honestly don’t want to leave Newcastle. Thanks but no thanks. #unfinishedbusinesshere
Barton: Want.
He could show Ravel a thing or two.
I think Barton is worth a contract on a free be as long as there isnt too much grumbling from the bench. Hes no Scholes and hes no Keane but I would like to see someone at OT kick Messi in the cunt. That alone would be worth the wages. I love to here the dagos whinge and whine when we used to kick seven shades of shit out of them. The only time we’ve ever really been close when playing finals against them domestically and internationally.
@G Tull hi mate, the debt is going to be real for anyone who buys the club.I really don’t want utd to become a toy for some billionaries ego.The fact glaziers treat utd as a business are are reliant on the club doing well is a good thing in many ways.
ex city…enough said cant stand him
“@joey7barton I will be making an announcement regarding my future, on here at 4pm today……..”
dasilva twins, personally wouldn’t mind having barton on board despite him being an utter cunt. Me thinks he acts all big and mighty because he has genuinely been one of the better players at each of his clubs. If he came to United he will be surrounded by so much quality he would definitely humble down and keep his mouth shut, plus SAF has been known to keep problematic players in check.
Right now we are missing a bit of experience, which barton has in abundance. Plus we are missing one of those no nonsense players like keano.. fletcher is a bit less aggressive plus we don’t know when he’s gonna be back? Barton is aggressive, can score scorchers and pass well, would be a good addition to our squad. Did I mention he wouldn’t be costing 30 million quid?
Think of him as a michael owen but in midfield. Always good to have quality back up.
I was opposed to the debt-strategy for a long time, but over time, I have become more comfortable with the way they’ve handled it. One of the keys to that has been the club’s success in increasing revenue across the board — of course, much of that is due to Sir Alex on the footballing side, but still, the business people have to be savvy enough to take advantage of it. And despite what some on here might believe, that isn’t “easy”. It doesn’t just happen. So they’ve done that (and in the midst of a poor global economy, too), and it puts the debt in a different light. Because when you judge debt, you can only do it in light of an overall equation — debt compared to revenue.
On top of tha, they have, as far as I can tell, kept their noses out of the football side. And in this business, the non-intervention of owners is a rare and extremely valuable commodity.
Of course I would prefer us to be debt-free. But I would much rather have the Glazers, and their debt, than be at the mercy of some rich playboy cunt who thinks he actually knows how to run a football team — not the business, mind you, but actually the football team. Some prick who wants to play FIFA 11 for real — with a real team, real players, and real money.
No owner is perfect. No ownership model is perfect (and that includes the fan-owned model of Barcelona — er, tell me again why Guardiola refuses to sign contracts for more than one year at a time?). If I had to choose between the “manageable debt” and Abramovich, or the Glazers and some dipshit sheik, or the Glazers and some mob of amateurs who don’t know how to do due diligence on a billion-dollar TV contract (Barca again), then I’ll go with the Glazers every day.
So where we up to with the numbers, now? Is it 0-0-4?
Watched Messi & Friends charity game in Mexico City. Romario at 45 years old has a better touch than Sneijder at 27.
Goat – Don’t start the Barton rumors again lol. Some panties, might be in need of unwinding.
I would like to know if by kicking Messi in the cunt that both Platini and Blatters expressions stay the same or that they both recoil at the same time, not much dissimilar to watching the expression on one twin whilst going in dry on the other.
@wayne
Fair enough…but wouldn’t it be nice to have good responsible owners without the debt?
We can only dream :-S
I wouldn’t mind Barton. We could use another full back. Oh wait. We are not talking about Warren Barton? Not interested then.
Manchuchu
Romario is one of the best players to ever play the game but for some reason it seems the most forgetable.
Twisting…
GTull
Good point but you look through whos who and show me someone whos prepared to use 30-40% of their kids inheritance on one business (all eggs in one basket). How many people out there with 5 billion pounds (whats that in dollars nowadays 8-10billion).
It should be a short ask I think we can ask the Sultan of Brunei. I think in comparisons Trump and Gates are skint.
Great news on Tony v. We’re covered on the wings. Great options.
@G Tull yes mate it would but because utd are worth so much going to be hard to find
Mischa Barton…. yes please….
Joey Barton…. ummm… no thanks (scouse cunt#)
willie @ 15:58, This is what Scott The Red just posted on his twitter: “If you think United signing Barton would be anything but disgusting please unfollow me. Chances are I think you’re a dick.”
The minute that United was listed on the stock exchange, the door was opened for “whoever” to own the club.
22 years ago, the then owner had attempted to sell the club for 30 million but had failed. Then, 20 years ago, the club was floated on the exchange. The float raised 6.7 million so, by definition, that’s how much the club was worth then. And we hadn’t won a league title for 26 years.
Now it is valued at around 2,000 million. And we have won 12 titles during that period, not to mention two CL trophies and all the rest of it.
You know, it could have worked out a whole lot worse.
Balaji
There is nothing to Bartons game that we havent already got and alot more apart from the guts to kick a fellow human being. I just wish Rooney would get back involved and crunch the odd bone.
If i remember right, there has always been a section of United fans who firstly could’nt stand for martin Edwards and his family, then could’nt stand the fact we were a PLC, even tho they could have bought shares and therefore had a say in the club. And now its the Yanks, who happen to be overseeing the most successful period in our long and distinguished history.
Balaji – Lol. We won’t sign him, but it’s funny seeing some fans go stir crazy at the thought! Joey Barton?? I’d rather see Dolly Parton ffs lol.
I fucking love Paul Scholes
Cantona said said: “If you are a heroin addict, and you’ve gone through the agonies of withdrawal, you don’t go back and start hanging out with your dealer. I found leaving Manchester United very, very hard.”
http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/top-stories/2011/08/01/eric-cantona-compares-leaving-manchester-united-to-quitting-heroin-115875-23313319/
Big Tony secured till he’s 30 – Quality.
Glazers spent big this year because the managers asked for the funds, I can’t ever see them saying no to Alex Ferguson, they are business men not Ego-maniacs like a few other Club owners I could mention. Tbh lads, apart from looking like ALF I’ve got no problem with the Shermans.
Speaking of which, Who remembers the Red Knights? haha what a load of bollocks that was, could’ve been the bleeding Chicken Farmers for all we knew. The whole thing made no sense whatsoever. MUST lost the fucking plot with that one, sorry Fellas!
Sorry, I meant to say the owner had attempted to sell the club for 20 million, not 30. Typo…
Barton > Sneijder
Even better than Barton, lets bring Dennis Wise out of retirement.
Agent Willie, Agent Fred has officially gone rogue. Place a bounty on his head ASAP to go with the one on Cedars and Costas.
Fletcher > Gerrard
Winding. Too tight!
Balaji – There’s a cease fire atm mate.
I have so much to read,
@GOAT my vote is for the Glazzers for not getting in SAF way of football operations, and the global segmented marketing approach that will break the 100 million mark soon. Now sell to a benevolent multi-billionaire who will pay the debts keep SAF and Gill and pours every penny that the new FFP rules allow back into the team. Then I wake up….
Joey Barton is deinitely United quality.
FC United that is.
*definitely*
Too constricting!
@Balaji
I was never in favour of the debt rather then owners, but the owners bring the debt….
All i can say is that the Gfarkers are staying out of the running of the club, but they are in the clubs pockets. Their interest is purely financial, no matter which way you look at it, where the club is or where its heading, money is their biggest interest……. otherwise they wouldnt of have taken over.
Now, as fans, my view differs ALOT to theirs, my love for the club differs alot also, and it seems you my friend forgot what Man UTD is and what it stands for, and is riding the success wave we are all enjoying now….
Without being rude i could tell you to fuck up and die, but you did post couple of constructive posts in the past, ….. my only suggestion is to to think and analyze before ya post
keep up the good work buddy, think with your heart
@Costas, Look what happens when you hang out with Cedars and his clique.
As if it needed saying but…
Sneijder > Barton
Idiotic. Not wanting Sneijder is slightly mental, but rather having Joey Barton! oh do fuck off.
Hernandez to sign a new deal any day now apparently.
Fuck them both!
@willie
It’s not the Joey Barton mention that had an effect on my underwear suddenly feeling tighter. It was the Mischa Barton one.
Folk know my views on Barton and I would take him on a free, no problem. A dirty cunt to rile the oppositions midfield and get in their faces. Oh and he can play a bit too. Wouldnt do the numbers any harm either.
Fred has a Burn Notice on him?
@Balaji
Lol, we can’t blame Cedars for this. I wouldn’t want Barton either way. Heck, lets resurrect Djemba Djemba’s United career instead.
Costas – Just messing pal lol.
Ohh nice good boy Antonio =)
¡¡¡Viva Latinoamerica!!!
@Costas, I was talking about you missing your words properly pal. Just messing around like Willie said.
Bone crushing GOAT!!!! Rooney plays best with the controlled furry burning bright.
A Rooney hat trick, a goal, an assist and a yellow card.
I loved how 7, 8 years ago when CR7 was stupid selfish ROONEY would hair dryer his ass. hehehe.
Welcome aboard Fred, you’re with friends and family now
Guys here’s a SWOT analysis of our very own Tom Cleverley :
http://www.thehardtackle.com/2011/tom-cleverley-moment-of-reckoning/
Can he step up?
Costas
Do not buy into this ‘we’re just messing pal’ talk and a smiley at the end. They’re messing alright but with your head. Be strong
On topic, Good on ya Tony!!! A beautiful winger in every respect!
Of topic: Barton? Don’t think even FC United would take im. They have standards too, don’t they?
Fred’s a triple agent.
Barton on a free?? would fergie even consider him? Not sure how we could sign a Citeh reject
Fred=Salt? Jason Born? Jim West? Artemis Gordon? Will self destruct in 10 seconds. Has a licences to kill.
i find it all funny, first Barton saying he’s not interested in utd wants to stay at newcastle then been given a free, lol, then some of you lads horror at the thought of him joining,i’m with King Eric hard cunt who can pass and is pretty good at free kicks, for free don’t see a downside as cover.
@Balaji
Ah ok. Can’t blame Cedars for this either. I was born this way. Typos are in my nature.
@Cedars
Don’t worry pal. I am well aware.
I have missed the news on Rafa, what came of him coming off against Barca? Please help.
Off topic. The Debt stinks. But that said, I have written many times on the fact that Glazers have done a fair job. I think I have stated that IMO much of the tactics against the Glazers have been straight up scapegoating of foreigners if not straight up anti-semitic. But in all honesty, the relative reprieve from all this discussion has been down to our on field success. Relatively surprising success as well given the unfounded doom and gloom scare mongering that was the flavor of the month 12 months ago. Success last season was done, mind you, without major big money signings of senior talent, and well within the current management structure for our club.
This may signal is that we have turned, or are starting to turn, a very dangerous corner in our history. Always will be issues in changing ownership given our club structure. The Glaser model was untested, very very daring, and ultimately must be judged on its success. That is why you must call this a dangerous period, ultimately justified or at least not proven false. Hard to say really as only history will tell.

Norwegian United fan denies to be ball-girl in Liverpool pre-season match – she dont like them at all
Fletch as always well said. After this window if Man Utd does get a CM then the next 3 or 8 windows could be 10 to 25 million with mainly prospects bought in. As well the deal with FC 20 will start delivering some fine South American talent. I have seen a pattern with Man Utd spending, every 3 to 5 years they spend “BIG”. They have a great plan in place from the Academy to Free agents ect. ect. Does anyone know where the 200 million came from to pay that lump sum last year? Some say Qatar has already have begone to buy the club. The clubs value has doubled since the boy’s from Tampa Bay bought it. Why almost 80% of people lost $ through the same time frame on their investments.
Edwin’s Final Swan-Song
This needs more love on ROM.
United proper are not playing in it but a number of our first-team regulars are. Also, Edwin’s son Joe is set to appear for our Under-13 – Is this a one-off thing or are we potentially onto something here? Final point to note, Michael Carrick makes Edwin Van Der Sar’s Dream Team – one to note for the idiotic cunts who slag him off. Not that it warranted further discussion, it is known that such people are clowns, but it is worthy of note nonetheless.
Likely, Sources of the 200M,
1. Income off of investments.
2.
What MUST will tell you about sources of the 200M,
1. Bung payments from some shady mid east consortium that will ultimately require fergie to step down to be replaced by the grand nephew of the current manager of the Kuwaiti national team (no disrespect to Kuwait, or its manager).
2. Straight up larceny from Scholes kids college fund.
3. Lost gold of Sparta (no disrespect to Sparta)
@Balaji Sivaraman nice, I saw that as well. What a great keeper. Much Love and best wishes for him and his.
Thanks Fletch heheheheheehe,
Goal against Liverfool!
Their down 2 hahahahahaaha.
18 min. Vålerenga , Oslo Norway – Liverpool 2 – 0
Joey Barton can fuck right off. No need for another slabbering scouser who’ll end up showing no respect. Barton is scum. Don’t think he’d be the right type of influence in the dressing room either. Seems a bit of twat.
FletchTHEMAN – the debt is going down, has I recall isnt the debt standing at about 369 million
No love for Edwin on ROM.
Until Tony V regains his fitness I would like to see this team play for a game or two…..
Young on the left, Nani on the right…. Hernandez up top with Rooney just behind…. Ando and Carrick in the center….. The usual suspects as the back four.
This team will have frighting speed going forward especially on the counter, before the opposition can blink, its Ando wide to Young who squares it to Rooney with one touch he flicks it on to Nani who lifts a delicious ball to the far post for Hernandez to head home……. GET IN THERE!
Cameras over to De Gea who is jumping like a lunatic in celebration….
C’Mon UNITED
What? Why? We ALL LOVE you Edwin…….. there
haha im watching the fools game and they are getting outplayed with their first team execpt gerrard, lukas, suarez f
ucking joketeam
Well said Fletch, i must admit i do lack the “graceful” touch when i speak from the heart. As to my post i was merely trying to express my feelings towards GoatinaUnited and Balajis initial post accepting Glaz’ as owners that do the right thing.
To be honest with you i am either a supporter of MUST or nor i oppose it. I like to think of my self as more of a realist then anything, saying that ill voice MY opinion when i please
The reason that they have done a “good job” is because they need to look after their investment and in the end they are all after profit, mind you, as every big cooperation/company strives for the same “goal” United did not need the debt that came with their takeover, which ultimately came with em.
Considering our clubs “owners” are americans, and most of their wealth lays there, with the current economic situation i have every right to be worried and ask what will happen when when americans crash and send ripples across the world. The club is still ran to succeed, but just think where we would have been if glaz’ didnt exist…..
Hernandez is out for a month Cedars.
We love you Edwin!
@Cedars, LOL! What did you smoke that has you this excited buddy?
Yeah, I completely agree. Of course, there is a nice issue at work on the wings for us this season. Valencia is almost a pick for the right-hand slot because of his work rate and efficiency. Young is the only winger we have who can play on the left. However, Nani is more skilled technically than either of those two, so he has to start almost every game. Which means I can’t see us going for a traditional 4-4-2? It will be one of those more fluid formations that we had with Ronaldo/Rooney/Tevez. However, I cannot for the life of me work out what Sir Alex is going to do.
Needless to say, whether we sign someone or not, there are exciting times ahead for us with the prospects we have. Not too long to go now I guess. My my, the months have flown by quickly. I couldn’t imagine June and July passing by that quickly. June was fun with sachu and his TSO, I wonder where he’s gone to. July passed by with the wee-Wes and anti wee-Wes cliques. And, here we are in August. I guess it’s safe to say, I would’ve been bored without ROM to guide me through the purgatory of the summer.
willierednut – with hernandez out for a month, moving berbatov on seems a crazy idea, has even if we put young upfront, we would be short of wide players has it is. Well unless the boss decides to replace berbatov with welbeck
Willie – I know mate, was just a nice moment of imagination buddy…..
Balaji – lol, Like I said to Willie I imagined a scenario and screamed goal! Agreed with you about RoM it helped me as well to get through the dreadful off season, most fun was/is the wee Wes cliques we had/have going here…. Certainly brought a bit of fresh air to the place, made the more sweeter of course by Costas and me claiming victory!
Bigsol – I do not thick cole has 2 years, let alone 4
Think I mean lol
FITB – I don’t think he was going anyway mate. It’s a big chance for Berbatov now. Lets hope he fills his boots.
quick off topic question
is Van Der Sar joining the goalkeeping coaching staff? and if so is it from this season or in the future?
Old sachu? What happened to him/her?
@Costas. got me cracking up wif those Barton comments. But he is de other lower club CM i rate highly alongside Parker; technically brilliant.
@King Eric. I agree with u on Barton. will add some steel to our middle with setpieces as a bonus.
who is Valencia replacing after he recovers?? I rate him behind Nani; irreplaceable n Young honestly. The Glazers dun interfere with our managers decisions n dats enough for me. Fergie n Gill wouldnt side with dem if they really were ruining our great club. Thanks!@Costas. got me cracking up wif those Barton comments. Still weeping over Sanchez
@willie, Probably on the City/Barca/Chelsea/Spurs forums where the transfer rumours are more active than on a United forum because we’ve signed almost everyone we needed to.
Does anybody understand this Claim.
“This is the weakest United squad in 2 decades”
I cant see how anybody can agree with this baseless claim. In My Opinion, this is one of our best squads in 25 years. The blend of youth and experience is exciting and we have battlers, great goalies, Warrior, Youngsters, Entertainers and winners in our squad.
The squad of 2008 was probably our best but this squad of 2011 as a whole and overall is much better as a team and team chemistry is great..
We have entertainers in:
, Vidic, Rio, Jones, Fletcher, Valencia, Anderson, Welbeck,Park
De Gea,Nani,Young, Young, Berba, Giggs, Gibson, Rooney, twins., Chico,Evra, owen,Carrick
Warriors in:
Lindeguardian
Great Youth:
De Gea, Jones, Twins, Evans, Smallings, Ando, Cleverley,Welbeck, Macheda,Obertan, Chico
When I look at this squad I am satisfied and enjoy watching all of them and don’t want anymore to leave. I don’t understand how many of our “own” would want more signing or add a big name to it.
He, or she disappeared after all the transfers had been concluded lol.
willierednut – we both agree about the engine room, but the signing of young has given the boss allot of tactical flexibility and a fresh dimension, has valencia could be picking up allot of injury’s
FITB, Don’t know what the current debt is to be honest. Always figure others will be keeping score better than I ever could. What Zibbie was asking about was the reported payoff of 200M (think it was 220M if memory serves to get one of the bond efforts off and them paying down the PIK. It was being reported around early days of 2010 season or so. Zibbie is rightly stating that there are still questions about where the cash came from.
Just pulled up this link to a BBEEb post linked to us by LW1 on manutd talk back last October. Here are the excepts again.
Manchester United’s American owners are to pay off their high interest payment-in-kind (PIK) loans, estimated to be worth around £220m.
The loans were borrowed from three US hedge funds to help finance the Glazer family’s £790m takeover in 2005.
The BBC understands the club’s joint chairman Joel Glazer has written to the lenders and said the loan would be paid in full on November 22.
The football club’s total debts are estimated at more than £720m.
Reduced loans
It is not yet clear how the Glazer family were able to raise the money to pay off the PIK loans.
They are understood to have given the Citadel, Och Ziff and Perry Capital hedge funds seven days’ notice of the repayment.
The PIK loans were significantly reduced as part of a refinancing in 2006 but since then have been accruing interest at extremely punitive rates.
Earlier this year the rate rose to 16.25% and although the Glazers are liable for the debt, supporters have long suspected money from the club would eventually be used to start paying them off.
As part of a £526m bond refinancing in January, the Glazers were given the freedom to take up to £70m from the club’s revenues to pay down the PIKs.
The Glazer family borrowed the money from three hedge funds
By notifying the lenders they intend to pay them off in full next Monday, the Glazers will reduce a lot of the financial pressure on the club.
The club’s parent company, Red Football Limited, is due to publish financial results for the first quarter on Tuesday, but those figures are not expected to include details of how the PIKs, which sit on the accounts of Red Football Joint Venture Ltd, have been redeemed.
Despite making a £79.6m pre tax loss for the last financial year, mainly due to one off interest and debt charges, United generated revenues of £278m and have over £100m of cash reserves.
But taking money from the club at a time when many supporters feel there should be more investment in the team will only add to the opposition to the Glazers at Old Trafford.
If the money hasn’t been taken out in that way then the Glazers may have borrowed the money from other financial institutions at more affordable rates to refinance the PIKs.
@Papii, “This is the weakest United squad in 2 decades” – Amen to that mate. I think this squad as a whole is better than our double winning squad in 2008 which was slightly more reliant on one player. I said the same thing last season also. I liked our overall play last season than in 2007-08. Patrice Evra said the same thing so that has to count for something as well. I am absolutely thrilled to see this United team in action in a couple of weeks. My interest in Sneijder was due to obvious reasons which need to be stated again (
). Even if he doesn’t come, my excitement will not decrease, if at all, it will only increase at the prospect of Cleverley being given a chance to make a name for himself. I get a warm, fuzzy feeling when I see the likes of Tom and Danny do well that just cannot be replaced by anything else.
Is this one of Sir Alex Ferguson’s strongest squads? Yes.
Is it as balanced as it ought to be? I don’t think so. Some people point to the lack of a possession player like Sneijder, some to the lack of a ball winner like De Rossi, some (Costas, ahem…) point to the lack of depth in the full back position. But all of us agree that if Sir Alex is happy with it, then we also ought to be despite our mild criticisms of the process.
TL:DR – Bring on Championship No. 20. Fuck Yeah.
I Can see Joey “Kangaroo” Barton joining teams like Tottenham,Sunderland,Aston Villa
or he could possibly go back to the shit-hole he was moulded from in Liverpoo or Everton.
Balaji – Glad you enjoyed the Ashley’s Hole comment
Clint-IamYourPapii – In 2008 especially the summer, I always felt that squad was a house built on sand, that the team was built way to much around ronaldo rooney and tevez. Now the team has allot more variety, in terms of players who can win us a match out of nothing, especially if welbeck and cleverly become good players for the club.
Anyoen who moans about the midfield remember this midfield in april 2004
p neville kleberson djemba fletcher
Papii
Agreed!
FITB – Yes, that’s still my concern mate. One more midfielder would do for me. Gill had a meeting with Sir Alex today, to discuss strengthening the squad further. My guess is, we’ll give Sneijder one last push, but if it doesn’t come off, I don’t think we’ll sign anyone. Unless Fergie pulls one of us rabbits out the hat, with a surprise signing? You never know with the boss.
done well pre seasons tieing up some contracts pleased 4 Tony V good he has extended his contract been a really good buy for us
Oh My God, I think Costas (what is your ID BTW), who I think is an avid tweeter, can attribute to this, but Rio’s #stayonyourfeet on every tweet is getting boring. Sometimes, for a joke to work, you have to use it at exactly the right moments (like he did after we won the title) not over-indulge in it so that the laughter is completely gone. #Rant Over
Clint. Balaji. Fitb. When was that statement made that this is the weakest squad in twenty years? Recently? Some people really are fucking clowns. Our squad is absolutely top drawer with fergie phasing the old guard out at just the right time and injecting young hungry players. The squad is in tip top shape. One top drawer midfielder would complete the jigsaw but if not to be then so be it. Worth keeping an eye on if wesley travels to china with Inter.
Balaji. Hello mate. So carrick made edwins dream team then. That’s bloody good to hear. Shows the players appreciate him. Ask rooney what he thinks. He really rates Carrick as did scholesy. Seems our pal CarBANGrick disagrees though as knows better. Hope that cunt is dead by now.
Oh so the dippers are losing AGAIN. We won all our games including Barca. They have now lost three on spin to the mighty hull galataseraay and now some norwegian sunday league side. Great pre season Kenny. This is anfield at eight o clock on the dippers channel will be fun then. They were frothing at the mouth after turkish defeat as Kenny aint even playing the new lads. He has been using it to get his shit weak squad in the shopping window to turf em out. Genius indeed dogleash.
Haha Liverpool are shit. Pre-season isn’t supposed to matter but when you look this bad I’d say that it means something after all, it means you’re an overrated bunch of scouse cunts. Other than Saurez they have no one who can create chances.
@Balaji
Yeah it has become an issue. I don’t keep in touch with every single tweet he makes, but he tends to overdo it with that catchphrase. I laughed when he said it during the interview with Sky after the Blackburn game, but it’s not for every occasion. He ends each tweet with either that ot #ooof.
My profile on twitter (shameless advert
) is this one: http://twitter.com/costas_22
Don’t let the private profile scare you.
Glad to see many agree
Balaji – You just can’t resist mentioning Sneijderman
I like many love Dutch Wes, I’ve liked him since he broke through for Ajax and him and VanderVaart was immense.
Our weakness doesn’t need to be filled by buying, it can be dealt with internally by players improving (cleverley, gibbo, ando), In the short term we need a ball playing, playmaker because of our inexperienced Attacking Midfielder, Sneijder would be ideal as a short term fix because as soon he hits 31 he’ll wanna return to Ajax to retire most probably.
Fergie is the boss –
Completely agree with you 2004-2005 was nightmare.
The likes of p neville, kleberson, djemba 2x, fletcher, alan smith, quinton fortune was deputising for a Roy KeanO who was either having hip surgeries, slagging off our players & Retired and a Paul Scholes that had suffered from EyeSight problems and to rub salt in, Ryan Giggs broke his nose.
Terrible year but not the worst in my life as a United Supporter. But that midfield had me teary eyed, on the brink of swallowing a glass instead of drinking from it.
For those interested, This is Edwin’s Dream Team squad: Van der Sar; van Bronckhorst, Neville, Ooijer, Ferdinand, Vidic, Cocu; Carrick, Giggs, van der Vaart (TBC), Zenden, Kuyt; Bergkamp, Del Piero (TBC), Rooney, Saha.
It is mostly made up of his team-mates, but it is interesting to note that of all the central mid-fielders he could’ve picked from the CL winning Ajax side or his own Holland side, he chose Carrick in one of the slots. That does make a statement that Carrick-haters will never understand. Fuck Them.
@King Eric, Cheers mate. A few knobheads were on here making those comments in a couple of topics. Some fans, hey. I just read that Alonso has tipped Liverpool for the Top 4. Delusion is now reaching stratospheric levels among ex-Liverpool players and fans. They would make interesting case studies at many med schools, I believe.
@Costas, Cheers mate. No shameless advertising. I just want to build up a healthy social network on Twitter, so I requested your ID and have sent a follow request.
My bad Broken Cheekbone is what I meant
http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/europe/4349182.stm
King Eric –
Its a silly claim made by some Stupid United fans, Pundits, even fucking managers and a lot of other club fans seem to think the same. When commentators echo this B/s I end up muting the T.V.
Costas – I WILL NOT FOLLOW YOU, unless you have Shakira’s fine ass tucked underneath those trousers of yours or share the identical appearance of Natalie Portman or the lovely Miss Emma Watson.
You will not return until midnight? What are you, a vampire?
Bloodsucker!
Van der vaart will not play in in Edwin’s farewell game.
He picked up a injury yesterday, looked bad and serious, so I doubt he;d make it.
Juventus have signed Manchester United Striker Mirko Vucinic .
@Papii, There goes another quality signing. What the fuck is Sir Alex doing missing out on all these opportunities?
I hope Del Piero, who is arguably one of top-3 non-United players, plays. A front two of Del Piero and Bergkamp (who is another) would give anyone a boner I assume.
*one of my top-3*
WileyBrazilNut –
Im a Nocturnal Half-Man-Half Werewolf / Vampire. Mum’s Werewolf/ vampire…the pop’s is a man, hard to explain how they met but it was over dinner under a moonlit night.
*on a moonlit night* I Meant !
Balaji – I sure hope we sign Del Piero or his more talented brother Del-Boy.
Who would refuse a beautiful mug like that;
http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-9XiUrzoim5Y/TWgScuU-ahI/AAAAAAAAAHA/VNRme5lHBuk/s1600/Del+Boy-Morley+Snr.jpg
I was talking to Costas about Vucinic last week. We said the same thing, his agent used United to flush out Juventus lol. Well done, his agent, it worked!
willierednut – I still say I am a bit miffed on where scneijder’s position actually lies, cleverly seems like a player who is capable of playing in the engine room itself, with anderson etc etc. What if cleverly becomes the player many think he is, we never know but I am a little weary with where scneijder fits into this united squad. I still say, united should be looking at a linch pin type player, like an alonzo or someone in the carrick mould because carrick is another year older
King Eric -It is a strong squad, one of the most powerful in Europe, and most defiantly the best in the premiership. The engine room is thin on the ground, but our other positions may have to make up for united’s lack of depth in CM
Hi please can someone confirm if we playing Marseille tomorrow? Seems very under publicised if it’s the case..
Doesn’t take a lot to smooth over the Old Lady these days does it? Our rivalry with Juve is one of my favorites in Ch.League history. It’s a shame to see them in this predicament.
@Balaji
Cool. I accepted it.
@Papii
The other two aren’t really my type, but I could do something about Shakira.
Shit, fucking hell, fuck fuck fuck shit fuck were screwed, fucking hell fuck bugger me, its the end, fuck shit fuck, well Fergie may as well retire now, fuck shit, fuck, did i say fuck, bolox, shit fuck, fuck, fuck.
Liverpool are going to win the league, the King Kenny revival is here.
fuck shit, fuck, years of misery awaits, were done for, fuck, shit shit, fuck, fuckity fuck.
We dont stand a chance against King Kenny warriors, fuck, shit
fuck shit shit in a shoe shit fuck piss bolox………………………………………………
The Premier league is theres for the taking shame they will be knocked out the cup by Hull convincingly, knocked out of the UEFA league by Galatasary or Vålarengen
tee hee ha ha
Carrick makes a beautiful cross field pass to Tony V who starts his run…. Ashley Cole slides in with a challenge only to look up and see that he completely missed our winger…. Tony V whips in a delightful cross to Hernandez who heads back to Rooney lurking on the edge of the box. On the volley, Rooney unleashes a thunderbolt that whilst Cech tries to parry he ends up in the back of the net along with the ball….
GET IN THERE
Pogba might just be one year away from 25 games?
Get in there!
Wee Wes!
WRD 19!
Just watching SSN and Bibatelli telling Sky Italia he doesn’t like Manchester, another Tevez saga on the way methinks.
All together now, let’s all laugh at city…
Oh ah Cantona!
Balotellis is more trouble than he is worth. Mancini probably thinks that he will be the one to replace Tevez and stands by him. If I was City (God help me) I’d sell him to Milan and buy Pato.
If they got Pato it would only be amatter of time before he’d want to clear off, just waiting for the Kunt to start saying he’s missing the sunshine of southern Europe.
Costas
How dare you give valid advice to them bitters….. You know they only have half a brain….. What if they read your comment?
Great News!In other news,PSG are rumoured to be weighing up an offer for berbatov. If we can squeeze up to £20m then I say sell him. This is the last time we can get top dollar for him.he won’t be that much of a loss…
FML
Fuck you t4m Don Berbagod is going no where!
It’s not like the 20million is going to equal cheaper shirts or tickets is it so why do we give a shit about the money we get for him.
I would rather enjoy the final years of the maestro than line Malcolm and the boys pockets
T4M – why would united want to sell berbatov I would rather united lose berbatov for nothing next summer just because hernandez has a head injury, and owen may pick up a few injury’s down the road. And we know rooney aint gonna stay fit all season
King Eric says:
Red Devil. Me a teacher? No. Ha. I am the groundsman!
you said once, you are a teacher…
Its important to tidy up signings like this. Tony V will be huge for us again this season, I’m certain too we’ll see more from Obertan.
@T4M – £20m for Berbatov?
…
.
T4M. You fucking ignorant cunt. Do one. Not much of a miss? Did you even watch a United game last season from your fucking armchair? Without him we wouldn’t have lifted nineteen. He was OUR TOP SCORER you fucking clown.
I really fucking despair. How the fuck have United ended up with fans like this? How is what he posted “great news“. With comments like that I prefer his — posts.
Mara. No I fucking didn’t pal. NEVER said that. Check out the archives. Don’t make lies up.
I’m not a berba hater.he’s a good player but not world class or indispensable. If a good offer comes in we should sell without hesitation.yes he’s classy and all but if you class go read GQ
@Balaji – shame Big Edwin couldn’t get Wee Wes involved in the game. Could have done a bit of tapping up for us, maybe twisted his arm to accept a major paycut.
@FITB – don’t worry about being short of cover up front if Berbatov goes. Sneijder can play off the striker.
I couldn’t be fussed if berba is sold.I’ll just tell him thanks.Utd was here before berba and will be here long after him.
Did Berbatov have to score 50 goals last season to be considered a loss in the event he leaves?
T4M. He was our and the leagues top scorer. Why would we not miss him? I will always thank him for his huge contribution to our nineteenth title. For that alone plus his talent he needs to stay at United. Which he will. I even think he could see his career out at United now.
Redmegleeker. I have to agree about Obertan. He was always good in the reserves but didn’t step it up in the first team. Which with limited opportunities doesn’t surprise me. I have been impressed this tour. He is huge now. He certainly caused Barca a few problems on Saturday.
Smartalex or anyone else that knows how to filter or google previous comments and please find me ONE instance where I have ever said I am a teacher? Never happened.
Forgot to say. The dipper fans are actually buzzing about tonights performance and result. They are genuinely pleased. What’s funnier is they are calling Aquilani the “jewel in the crown“. You couldn’t make this shit up.
I think the Mirror are running the story about Berba to PSG. Probably bollox, or least I hope so, with Hernandez out for a while.
I remember King Eric saying, he worked at a school. If that helps lol.
Its the Mirror who are reporting this so called “exclusive”, so I’d take it with a pinch of salt guys!
If it is true, and we get anything above £10mill, I think Fergie will bite their hand off. We’ve always prided ourselves on giving youth a chance, and we’ve got talented young strikers coming up behind Berba.
it’s been said before, but the main reason JOS was sold is because he was on pretty high wages for a squad player. Same scenario applies with Berba IMO.
As for Obertan, I’ve gotta agree, he’s been very impressive on this tour. You wonder how many opportunities he’ll get, purely because of the amount of wingers we have. Last season, Valencia and Park both missed big chunks of the season through injury…yet Obertan still barely played. You can’t help but think his opportunities could be even more limited this year…maybe a loan deal could be in the offing?
Willie. Yes that’s what I have said a few times. “The school I work at“. At no time have I said I was a teacher.
King eric I acknowledge berba’s contribution from last season,I’m not disregarding it.but from a business POV £20m for a 3rd choice ST is great business and it’ll free up som cash for sneijder.a 30yr old in his last year,£20m is good money.I would be happy to keep him I’m not calling for his head all I’m saying is that if a suitable offer comes we should sell.btw I’ve seen way better strikers than mitko wear our red shirt.RvN being one and he left for a paltry £11m
Fred – thats a big IF getting WS, and who may be just the same has berbatov, not fitting into the united system, and who knows what if cleverly can do WS job.
King Eric – if the scousers beat barca, can you imagine what they would have been like
The Mirror- rubbish
I actually think Barton is a certainty to come here. I’ve thought about it and the rumours are getting stronger. Free transfer. We need a hate figure. Sure people will boo Rooney but they don’t ‘hate’ him, whereas Barton is despised all over. Imagine him at Stamford Bridge or Anfield just snap someone’s legs and get the fans going mental at him. He’d take it full on and give it back. A player who will kick fuck out of someone, I honestly do like the idea of that kind of player.
http://www.mirrorfootball.co.uk/news/Liverpool-owner-John-Henry-tips-Manchester-United-to-win-the-Premier-League-and-targets-Champions-League-return-article779933.html
Lol. Talks sense, this guy.
Willie Scary when someone over at ‘pool talks a bit of sense innit?!
I was literally about to post that, but decided to refresh first.
@the fly, wash your mouth out with gin mate. Image the role model for the likes of
ravel mate. Might as well flush that down the toilet as well.
the liverpool owner casually dismissing his own club. quality.
@The Fly
i’ve vehemently opposed barton coming anywhere United, but you know, i have a sneaky feeling too. knowing SAF all these years he looks like the sort he’d want to flirt with. the hate figure description is perfect and classic Fergie. the net is alive with 2 “massive” announcements from mirror, maybe they know something we don’t. doubt it but newspapers tend to get a scoop here and there. Or maybe it’ll amount to nothing. Fingers crossed
Really don’t remember this much shite when I started reading RoM? Then again this is the first pre-season I’ve been reading so im guessing things will be back to normal when the season starts.
Also, Berbatov ain’t going anywhere lads. Tony and Nani crossing the ball at break neck speed ain’t his game, and he still won Golden Boot ffs. Alex is gonna have us set out differently this time, much more build up in the middle with Young stretching play on the other side to Nani. That gives berb more space and time on the ball, and thats his game. No way we’re gonna sell now, he’s just getting warmed up.
King Eric, that Mara fella is fulla shit. Anybody who reads whats said on here knows what you’ve said. You should be flattered, you’ve got people out there taking shots at the “King”. What an existence some people have. Where the fuck do they find the time?
Laters Reds.
slim – You can relax mate. I don’t think Barton will be signing. United were favourites, but we’re out to 3/1 now. With the bookies though, hit and miss sometimes.
The Fly. Spot on. Said the same thing. A pantomime villain. Wind the home fans up at away games. The lad can play a bit too. Just ask Arsenal.
Fitb. Hello mate. Oh you would never hear the end of it.
Paul Parker. Cheers mate.
The Fly, If all you go in is “the rumours are getting stronger…” then you must already have a sneijerman tattoo on your fanny and are penciling in a spot of Joey Barton. Hope you hold off on both mate!
@slim, so your logic is that Barton would actually be a SAF master stroke? HHMMMMmmmm, you must be drinkin buddies with King Eric.
Yeah could do. So Barton comes in and so scandalizes the United dressing room that even young Ravel is shocked to his senses?!
I guess time will tell on this one…
Stay red my friends….
@willierednut
i seem to remember you calling it when it was first mooted. the wee wes clique would have loved you on their side. wait. what side are you on again?.
lol i can just picture kind eric in a class room full of scouser kids. it’ll be madness
@FletchTHEMAN
i’m praying, keeping fingers crossed that my logic is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay off on that one.
APRIL 19, 2011 AT 17:48
King Eric says:
wearing green and gold – Plenty of laughs on here mate. Regarding the women wearing less. Oh yes. I work in a school and at the risk of sounding a nonce you should see the fucking sixth formers at this time of year!!
Wheres smartalex these days?
When we grew up and went to school
There were certain teachers who would
Hurt the children anyway they could
By pouring their derisions
Upon anything we did
And exposing every weakness
However carefully hidden by the kids
But in the town it was well known
When they got home at night, their fat and
Psychopatic wives would thrash them
Within inches of their lives.
7cantons is saying the mirror is going to report a Wes fee has been agreed. http://7cantonas.com/2011/08/tabloid-report-united-agree-sneijder-fee/
willie Henry owns the Red Sox and has been a great owner for them.
Wesley Snjeider basically doing what Ronaldo was doing before he left us.
Things like “im happy”, “I’m very happy”, “I’m so happy”. Why is “happy” always the word used?
Media training has informed top professionals the correct way to keep the fires burning. Sky Sports News hangs on a player saying he’s “happy”.
Gentlemen please.
http://www.mirrorfootball.co.uk/
£18m for Berbatov would be our 3rd highest ever transfer fee received, after Ronaldo and Beckham. Think I’m right in saying that…
RoM stunned into silence I guess.
Night all.
If the mirror are fucking around on this one, I’m gonna send Cedars and Smartalex to their fucking door!
Kings and KE, on stand by as well.
Guess who’s back !
£20m for Berbatov…..well that better be one of the installment payments if they want him this summer.
£20m in August
£10m in January
£5m in June
That should do it, then we have money and wages to partner Schweinsteiger with Sneijder who should be signing on the …..line by friday. With Schweini costing £35m, we have £20m left over to tie up a deal for either Juan Mata or that really promising lad Yann M’Villa & we could just sign Samir Naseri on a free.
My Team for 2012-13:
De Gea
Rafael Smallings Vidic Fabio
Sneijder M’villa Scweini
Nani Rooney Nasri
It would only cost £55m which we would receive for Berba, so fuck off you Berbahaters !
Zibbie – I know who he is mate lol.
I know it sucks. LOL
@Fred, Yeah, nothing new. Just selling papers mate. The ink isn’t even dry on the flys arse!!!!
No quotes no changes from what we have been reading every week. I am waiting unitil Gill or SAF says its on. Until then. AAAHHHHHH. zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
Keepin it cool, is the rule! Stay Red!
Borisdontknow
Yes, we are playing Marseille today (Tuesday)
Pogba and Gibson are down to play, not sure who else.
willierednut reckons it’s on ESPN
Smartalex. Cheers mate. Although don’t know if I should thank you for bringing up that nonce sounding quote!
Just checked again there. The games on ESPN. Pogba will be playing, so I’ll be watching.
King Eric
You were already exonerated for the reference to fashion, and it was an apt comment for the line of conversation on that thread. I knew you would mention my choice though!
My choice was made by you. To end your comment in April you asked:
“Wheres smartalex these days?”
And I found you!
@King Eric
Forget about people like mara mate…..not worth the effort
The Wee Wes clique finally smelling victory eh lads!
Great news cant wait for the start of the season!! 20 insight!!
“Mario Balotelli returned to his car after Manchester City’s two week summer tour to find that his team mates had put a holdall full of kippers in there before they’d left. This time honored tradition of training ground pranks has produced some hilarious stories, as you’ll find out here…”
That and 9 other pranks at

Is anyone else coming over to this thread?
We have the whole place to ourselves Mikekelly12!
As per smartalex’s request, I am willing to start the following “very useful” discussion till the powers that be give us a new thread.
The following question just popped into my head with all the Wilde discussion in the other thread:
Who do you think has the better eyes and face – Amber Heard or Olivia Wilde?
Currently re-watching House: S4 and I also saw Drive Angry recently and I am stumped. There is no way to answer that question since thinking of either leaves me in an inebriated state where I cannot think clearly. I would like to hear your esteemed thoughts anyway.
That latest thread is reaching saturation point. Scott where’s the vid for Welbeck and Cleverley goals?
Aha, here you all are! Mentioned it on the other thread Balaji, who are these girls?? I feel really old asking that question!
I’d give Amber the green light. Olivia can also go wilde on me any time she wants to.
LONDON’S Met Police have issued a stark warning to football fans that anyone caught causing trouble at Sunday’s Charity Shield clash will be dealt with.
“Anyone intent on attending the match to cause trouble will be dealt with robustly. As is usual for a high profile game, teams of experienced football intelligence officers – or spotters – will also be on the look out for anyone on a football banning order, ticket touts or anyone causing trouble.”

MikeKelly, For your viewing pleasure, I present you with the two exhibits so that you can judge for yourselves.
Exhibit A: Amber Heard (OR) Exhibit B: Olivia Wilde

My choice is the same as smartalex, Olivia’s good, but nobody can beat Amber in my eyes. She has the highest wallpaper count in my personal collection which should tell you something.
If you see this twice, pardon me as the previous one went to Moderation for two links being posted.
BTW, Edwin’s testimonal begins at 16:40 BST, which is in about another 20 minutes. I personally cannot wait for it. It is being shown live on MUTV online as well for those interested.
@mikekelly, Sorry mate, I just had two posts go to awaiting moderation for trying to post their images to you. I don’t want to risk getting banned by Scott (
). So, please google and let me know your thoughts.

Fergie surprised by rivals lack of spending.
Since the cool kids seem to be on this thread, I’ll post this link here.
Don’t forget now, you can get those WMDs right here, right here!
smartalex – Thanks for that my friend. I will be going on Sunday. I will hide behind a city fan, call the pooliceman a cunt and point at the bitter and say it was him. Hopefully he will get hit severely with a baton.
Olivia for me Balaji..
Kings – would that be hit with a Joey Baton?!
Kings – As Saturday’s game will be city’s second biggest match in over 30 years, I expect that you’ll only have to watch as the over-excited idiots get beaten black and blue.
Mikekelly12 – Haha. Yeah especially if his punch on Morten Gamst Pedersen was anything to go by!
Smartalex – no doubt they will be claiming the possibility of winning their 3rd trophy until we destroy them!!
smartalex – Let’s hope Kunt Aguero remembers to bring his boots with him and not have to borrow Mancini’s again. Fucking idiot.
Kings – if that is the case they’ll be using cigar butts and not batons!!
Mikekelly12 – Let’s hope nut job Balotelli ends up doing a Phil Babb!
Mikekelly12 – Like it mate!
Every year I want to win the Charity shield, but I’m much more interested in seeing how far we’ve come with pre-season. I’d much rather play well and lose, than play badly and get a lucky win.
This year it seems likely that we will play very well, and win convincingly; and I must say I’m much keener on a good result than ever before.
Kings – between Kunt’s boots and balotelli’s bib the city kitman has the worst job in football.
All in the game yo, all in the game.
‘Two second half goals from a young Manchester United side inflicted a second home pre-season defeat in a week on Morecambe. Clinical finishes from captain Daniel Drinkwater and substitute Jessie Lingard gave the United of the future victory in what was another good outing for The Shrimps.’
http://www.lancasterguardian.co.uk/sport/football/morecambe-fc/morecambe_0_2_manchester_united_xi_1_3643253
ps Rafael played 30 minutes against Morecambe. Kuszczak played 90.
Kings – Phil Babb as in nut cruncher?!
Smartalex – they’re ridiculous. I wonder if they trot out with another star on their shirt after the trophy they won in Ireland ??!
Edwin has already pulled off a great save!
Mikekelly12 – We are so lucky that the most hysterically stupid and side-splitting club in the world happens to be in our city!
ps Ajax take the lead through Overmars, great finish! Half time now.
smartalex – Absolutely hilarious watching that dopey cunt Balotelli struggling to put his bib on.
Mikekelly12 – That’s the one mate. They went so far up he had to spit them out and put them back in his sack. I hope he had kids before that unfortunate incident.
Rooney, Giggs, Vidic, Carrick etc are also in Holland, and play next.
“I’m just a humble mother fucker with a big – ass dick”
- You give yourself too much credit.
“Okay then. I ain’t that humble.”
Ajax ’98 beat Holland ’98 1:0
(Edwin played for the Ajax ’98 selection)
VDS has only been gone half a summer and watching that 20mins I’m already missing him!
Also Neville and Rio playing in this game now. Watch!
willie’s nick name is tri-pod.
What a great testimonial day Ajax are having for Van der Sar!
I’m now well ready and looking forward to the game.
Sir Alex is managing one side, Edwin the other.
Swings and roundabouts Zibbie.
@smartalex, Amen to that mate. This is exactly what a player of the quality, talent and class as Edwin Van Der Sar deserves.
I hate it only for one reason: It brings that thing to my eye that I don’t like seeing.
Farewell, Edwin. You will be missed as much as The Great Dane.
Half time 0:0
@Balaji, Yes, it’s a bittersweet moment.
Watching Edwin one can’t help but wish that he was not retiring.
Nostalgia aside, he is still the best keeper in the world.
Fortunately we have Sir Alex, and he has got us de Gea and Lindegaard.
Rio assists Saha from a free kick in the DreamTeam’s (our) half at the start of the second phalf.
phalf – p = ½
you 3 are really enjoying yourselves on this thread. i surely do envy you.you 3 are really enjoying yourselves on this thread. i surely do envy you.

moscow JT – The water’s lovely!
Echo…
Dennis Bergkamp showing his class. One of my all-time favorite players. Fergie, Sign Him Up!
Dream team leads 1:2 Scored by Bergkamp, assist by Rooney from Giggs.
You wot!
@AnnieEaves on Twitter: “I’ve got dust in my eyes.”
BTW, does anybody know how well Edwin’s wife is doing? I really hope she is/will be completely cured and Edwin can be happy forever. People like Edwin deserve that in life.

Whose bright idea was it to have Edwin and Scholesy’s testimonials a few days apart?
I hate crying, much less having to do that a couple of days apart.
From the bottom of my heart, I wish Edwin the very best in life. It is my sincere hope that he returns to us in a coaching capacity after deservedly taking a year’s break.
I still cannot believe this is the last we will ever see of The Flying Dutchman on the pitch.
Thanks for the memories, Edwin.
Balaji, Edwin’s wife looks very well as she walks around the field with him and the kids.
This is a wonderful moment, and shows that Edwin has made the right choice.
The Van der Sars can get to know share each other properly.
Thanks Edwin. Enjoy your family now.
One of Edwin’s finest moments in a Red shirt (You know what it is): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8Ab584AaQs8&feature=feedrec_grec_index
@smartalex, Yeah, she does look like she is doing great and in good health. All that we can hope for and Pray to God.
That is still my regret from the 28th – Not that we couldn’t win it but that Paul Scholes and Edwin Van Der Sar didn’t get the send off they deserved. But, alas, such is life. You win some and you lose some.
This Edwin montage that I am getting on my stream is really great even though I don’t understand a word of what Edwin is saying. Just demonstrates the long and distinguished career he has had. It is a quite simple fact – There aren’t enough people like Paul Scholes and Edwin Van Der Sar in modern football.
@Balaji, Agreed. It is a travesty that their Careers should end with such a loss. Sad.
c
C – bo, ya bald headed nut!
I got to ask you. If every time Snotboogie would grab the money and run away, why’d you even let him in the game?
