Van Persie: Being champions is standard for United

Robin van Persie ensured that United won the title in style last night by bagging a hattrick to confirm our status as champions. Having gone years at Arsenal without a title or trophy, Van Persie is delighted to celebrate his first Premier League title win, but recognises that is what we should expect from United.

“It’s a great feeling,” hetold MUTV. “I had to wait a long time and I’ve been thinking and speaking about it with Rio, for example, in the car and he’s been telling me: ‘Listen, whatever happens, that’s the standard.’ He’s right. From now on, our new standard is we want to be champions every year and we want to win more. So we are even more hungry than than we were last season because you could just tell, from day one, everyone wanted this and we did well. I want to win it again. I want to win more stuff. I want to win the FA Cup, the Champions League, the Capital One Cup. I want to win it all. This is a trophy for all of us – the management, staff, all the players and the fans have been brilliant too. They’ve been absolutely amazing, cheering us on every single game, home and away, so credit to them as well.”

65 years back when 8 UTD players died in the Munich crash people said that our dreams have been shattered and that we’ll never rise again

19 years back some Scousers dismissed our 8th premier league title,They told us to come back when we have 18.

9 years back when arsenal went undefeated, They said united would never be the same again.

7 years back when Chelsea had won back to back titles, They said 19 was just a magic number.

4 years back when Ronaldo left, they said it’d be the beginning of the end.

1 Year back When Manchester City won the title on the last day on goal difference ,they said Manchester will never be red again

But here we stand with now a record “20 -T W E N T Y” titles, better than anyone else

Aguero snatched away the title in the last minute last season. It broke the hearts of all the Utd fans to pieces, but above all it affected an old man. That man, woke up next morning and was in the office at 7am even though the season was over, just to get started with the preparations for the next season. That old man, just grabbed his 20th title. That old man, Sir Alex Ferguson, just took back what was his!

Robin, a technician of a ball of the highest order. He’s got a cracking powerful left foot and is capable of magnificent goals. This strike will live long in the memory and in general, 24mill well spent. He’s a polish and rounded world class player, he’s still got more to give i hope, his experience means he’ll guide the more younger players. He has the right attitude, mentality and temprament. Van persie isn’t just a pure artist on the pitch, he puts in the shift too. I think he will hopefully be the platform in which fergie can build a strong central midfield.

I can see his shirt sales going through the roof from now on. Well done to him and all the players, management and backroom staff, you have all played your part in returning our club to where it deserves to be……at the very top.
