Since signing for Manchester United, Robin van Persie hasn’t been able to stop talking about how happy he is at the club.
“I go into work every day whistling,” he said. “From the first day, they have made me feel welcome, the boys made me feel right at home. I feel better and fitter. In the last week, I played Wednesday and Saturday. In those games I played with ease.”
We’re top of the league, he gets on well with his new team mates, he plays for the best manager in the world, but Van Persie has singled out coach Rene Meulensteen for praise.
“The way he trains is exceptional,” he added. “He is truly one of the best coaches in the world. I have had a lot of good trainers, but it’s the way he prepares our team for games. Every match is different, so every training session in the build-up to games is unique. We know exactly what to expect and he wins points for us through his training. We’ve won a lot of games by the odd goal and they are point winners, which we train for. For instance, against Chelsea I scored after a low cross from Antonio Valencia on the right. It might seem a fluke but the whole week before the game was spent working on that move. Another example is my goal against Wigan, when I cut the ball inside and shot with my right foot. Again this situation, we trained on. Training is really good. It’s a very pleasant environment to work in.”

Man Utd News 24/7

Ohhhhh Robin van Perrr-sieeeee
Jaysus he must think he is in Snow White and the 7 dwarfs. Whistle while you work ! lol
Yes Robin, the feeling is mutual. We switch on our TV sets whistling too..
I would too if i was on 100k a week
Let’s start a trend – every time Robin van Persie scores, everyone lets out an ear-piercing whistle.
The noise from the crowd would be deafening, and it’d be a unique way to celebrate a goal. Remember how good it sounded each time van Nistelrooy scored, and all you could hear was “Ruuuuuud”.
I’ll be doing it on Sunday in K Stand.
Rene Meulensteen the next manager- put a monkey on it!

Jack Wilshere – seemed to have a decent game yesterday? Can’t say I watched the game but now most think he is the best English Superstar player in the world (can’t have too many of those, right?) after one friendly against Brazil. Honestly, every time I have seen him play this season he has been average. Very stupid tackle that got his sent of against us also. This has to be a nationality thing right? I just can’t see where the hype is coming from.
@Diego
Well, considering the players vying for his spot are Milner & Barry, of course he will look world class. He is a decent player, but I would rank him equal with Cleverley at the moment
diego
to be fair i think Jack Wilshere was england best player yestarday
he has great talent. tom and him can take england to another level

Marq:
Yeah, but he is a fucking enigma. What has he done to date to acquire such a reputation. Was it that one game against Barca?
Doesn’t matter what becomes of Wilshere. Let the media built him up & tear him down like they did to so many other players.
To be fair to Jack he did really well. he ia an example of a new breed of technically gifted english players. Him and TC, Welbs, Walker, Baines, Jonesy, , Sterling, Ox, Zaha etc will make it easy for hogson to transform Englands’ way of play. hope boys are fit and ready for the toffies and Real. RVP is king
Robinnnn!!
Don’t you just love him!
Exceptional professional
Fellaini a doubt for Sun. Would be a huge loss for them. Such a different team without him.
What`s more interesting are the comments on Rene Meulensteen..
I`m sure he would be a strong contender for the manager`s role after SAF retires..(may it never happen)
chicharito Speaking to ESPN about United, it is obvious how much he is genuinely enjoying his time at Old Trafford.
He said: “To be part of the best part of the club, to be in the changing rooms with players like Van Persie, like Welbeck and last year with Berbatov, they’re world class players.
“The way they play, the way you can learn in each training ground as well as in the game seats, it’s unbelievable that feeling.”
This the Jack Wilshere thread? Who gives a fuck only time will tell
The attitude at Utd is leave your ego at the door this is a team game.Utd have a tight knit unit because of it just don’t see the same attitude at Rent Boys or Bitters.In every top club have the great coach who works with the players normally never gets much recognition and then the man manager,Sir Alex is the greatest man manager ever
English Media on Jack Wilshere-
“In Jack Wilshere, England had a midfield player who at times looked more like a Brazilian than the Brazilians,” The Times.
“Jack Wilshere looked as if he could play for anyone, and yes, that included the world’s greatest football nation.”— The Independent
“There is no getting away from it. Jack Wilshere is the key to England’s future… The truth is that with the young midfielder, England can compete with the BEST. Without him, they cannot.”-The Sun sport
“The England shirt does not act like a straitjacket on Wilshere as it can do to others. He certainly played with a hunger as if the term ‘friendly’ was an alien concept.”- The Daily Telegraph
@Proverb
Some pretty ridiculous overreaction there.
It wasn’t a full-strength Brazil side (where were the twins?!), Ronaldinho was only there to win his ’100th’ cap (actually his 95th), and they were under a new manager, with only one training session.
Don’t get me wrong, England were impressive, Jack Wilshere especially, and I think he’s a special talent. But to draw those sweeping conclusions from last night’s match alone is pretty silly.
Proverb ok the media is jacking off to Jack,so what and why do those quotes belong on a thread about RVP and Meulensteen?
Proverb:
Exactly that. Wtf are they on about? One FRIENDLY game.
Wayne:
Eh, since when has it become a crime going off-topic on ROM? It’s pretty much the promised land for off-topic discussions. Take your internet policing somewhere else.
Diego,don’t give a flying fuck about about Jack Wilshere.So why don’t you fuck off to a Gunner blog you cunt
Fucking hell. Someone’s on their period.
ha victor meldrews having his period
Not on my fucking period at all just don’t know WTF this has turned into a Jack Wilshere thread on a Utd blog and why anyone gives a fuck about him
@wayne
OK, so if I had the time and I went back through all your RoM comments, I’d find that they only ever concerned the specific topic in the blog article?
Whow whow guys, calm down abit its only a facking blog don’t take it way to personal
As that really symbolise ‘going off topic’ so please no patrolling together as one piece!
As for the fucking ABU cunts I have no word now for them they took stupidity to the whole new level.
I give it to @MAJOR to asses
@wayne please pal relax
It seems like today….
Kanchelskis no but normally have the decency to acknowledge the topic and mostly off topic is somehow Utd related.Normally a thread goes off topic when there’s no new ones or its a slow news day.What RVP said is obviously very relevant to why Utd are having successes so quite frankly I find it bizarre why anyone would open up his/her comments about a player that is meaningless to the thread or Utd
@wayne
Diego mentioned Wilshere. If that was as profoundly unacceptable as you seem to think it was, people wouldn’t have picked up on it and discussed it further. But they have.
These things are organic. Obviously others don’t see going off topic as such a cardinal sin. As such, off-topic discussions are going to proliferate and be a fact of life on these blogs. If you don’t like that, I don’t think it’s the other users who should be going away and finding other blogs. Your hissy fits aren’t going to stop people doing it. If you don’t like it, tough shit.
@Wayne – Just to keep you happy the whistling Dutchman is great but don’t read the below comment about Wilshere.
Serious over-reaction. The same old build em up bullshit from press. An English midfield player has a decent game against and average team and suddenly he’s the messiah. It happens time and time again. Crushing pressure and expectation will be heaped upon this young man’s shoulders and will guarantee him to never reach the heights they are all ejaculating about this morning.
Kanchelskis don’t give a fuck I’ll say what I think,fuck all to do with you what I say and which blog I use,understand.Don’t like what I say stay out of my business
@wayne
16:40
ok the media is jacking off to Jack,so what and why do those quotes belong on a thread about RVP and Meulensteen?
17:48
I’ll say what I think,fuck all to do with you what I say and which blog I use,understand.Don’t like what I say stay out of my business
Wow. That’s like a case study in schizophrenia.
Diego – Wilshire is a decent little player yes but the hype is a fucking piss take. Almost as bad as that little idol fag cunt Neymar. What a scawny little ponce yet cunts think he is up there with Messi and Ronnie. Fucking garbage as is the whole Brazil side. Worst side I have seen in my 38 years.
See Durham is bigging up Hart again for a pen save in a fucking FRIENDLY! Said “The save from the rebound was better than Banks from Pele” Oh fuck off Durham. Says he silenced all his critics last night. Little Ingerlunder.
Speaking of RvP…
… seen Carragher is retiring at the end of the season. One of the few decent Scousers down the years (apart from that chop on Nani). Has never held back in voicing his respect for United, and especially Fergie. Kind of player you’d love on your team.
.Don’t like what I
say stay out of my business
^How ironical @wayne
I might just say so aswell
So why the flaming
Only Andy Cole (11) and Thierry Henry (8) have scored more goals against Liverpool FC than Jamie Carragher (7)
Squeaky voice, don’t tell me he’ll become a pundit too
Wilshere is a player that United ought to be signing, he’s fucking brilliant. I’ve watched a lot of Arsenal games this season (I find their slide into obscurity amusing) and he’s consistently the best player on the field for them. He’s a scrappy little bastard but he supports that with immense technical ability. I’d love to see him at United as a long term replacement for Carrick.
thought wilshere looked really good against brazil. Real fight in him
Really, I just read this blog from time to time, but I had to comment on wilshere as wayne looks like he might loose it
Pipe down you idiot! This is a football blog and if someone commenting on another player get’s you that riled up, then you sir have a serious problem. Who says you are the sole decider of what is OK to talk about here…. please bugger off
kanchelskis – Agreed on Carragaher mate. I actually quite like the bloke. Always respectful of United and Fergie plus he put that fucking cunt Durham in his place. Also a club before country man.
Jack Wilshere is the most talented central midfielder in the PL. His all around game is superb attacking and defending. He makes driving runs through the middle which are so effective but needs to weigh in with more goals. If I could sign any PL player it would be him.
Robin Van Persie should be going to work whistling when he earns over £150,000 per week ! ! !
Did you like that bloke Carragher when he ripped open Nani’s leg 2 years ago? What a cunt.
Iced Earth @ 14:55: “to be fair i think Jack Wilshere was england best player yestarday”
I disagree with all the WilshereFanBoyz – although it might be considered treasonous to say so, my man-of-the-match was StevieGBH, who also had a “watching brief” with Gary Cahill who is simply not up-to-snuff. BigManSmalling played well considering that he, too, had to be aware that Gary Cahill seems to be rather like his Brazilian team-mate, David Luiz – an accident waiting to happen.
Hopefully, the UTD contingent came through with no aches or pains. I was actually glad to see TheWayneBoy get a full 90-minute run-out. He seems to play best when he’s “broken in” and played a lot of matches.
I’ve also noticed that DannyTheLad is catching shite from the LittleIngerlanders who expect more than he can provide. Someone on this site said that he’s best as a ‘defensive forward” and he excelled in pinning Brazil’s right back, Danny Alves, into the defensive half of the field. As is so often the case, an unnoticed but invaluable contribution – I expect to see him given the same brief when UTD play TheVirus since the key to that match is going to be forcing their full-backs – and especially their wingers – into wide positions by providing assistance to their partners – same logic goes to explain why AV7 should get the nod ahead of Nani even though he’s nowhere near as skilful or dangerous with the ball at his feet.
RVP – “Knutsford is my heaven”
@ King Eric.. i m also sick from gloryfing Neymar…guy is good…but not even close to Messi and Ronaldo…he can eventually clean their shoes…
Such a crazy beast, this man – Robin Van Persie. He’s the man with the plan, to bring home the feeling of ninteneeen, and the hair with a lot of gel. Scores the goals, make the touches and pays the bills to match his skills. He’s absolutely going to score against Everton, no doubt, I’m out.
RVP says that what makes Meulensteen exceptional is that every training session in the build-up to games is unique. Every match is different, but they know know exactly what to expect.
All clubs analyse the opposition, and prepare accordingly. This includes Arsenal. According to RVP, we’re remarkably better at it than they are. Probably better than most.
Being unpredictable prevents your upcoming foe from preparing properly, especially when you pull a SAF and start a retired Scholes at the etihad. No fool our gaffer, keeps ‘em all guessing.
Robin van persie simply great profesional great person ,,,,not like some cu*ts who just go to clubs for the fucking money there should be more players like him,,giggsy ,scholsy ,gary,,even Its great to see players like messi what an profesional plays his game to enjoy not like our greedy child ronnie plays for awards and ego stupid guy
JC – Not particularly no BUT I also didn’t like seeing Nani cry at fucking Anfield either.
I just love im and still can’t believe he’s playing for us!
HAH, agreed the crying was a bit over the top but that was still a nasty challenge.
never heard so much drivel regarding Wilshere. The lad has talent admittedly but come on he has not done anything yet. Same with the pundits I heard the guy commentating on the Arsenal Bradford game saying how Wilshere was the driving force behind arsenal that evening. As far as i remember Arsenal got beat. Anyway rant over.
I have to say Wilshire is quality. But so’s Cleverley. An for the first time in a while, I’ve seen 2 English players who actually want the ball every time it’s near them, and are comfortable on the ball. Wilshire and Clevs never shy away from having the ball. An it was refreshing. But I saw some article on the Sun website that talked about some bullshit saying Cleverley was average. Biggest load of shit I’ve heard.
I love this blog – it’s the only Man U one I follow. But surely we could cut down on the repetitive stories. How many times do we need to read the he is happy at United?
Gary Neville : “Jack is the best U23 player in the planet and a part from rooney he is at the top of players in the UK no doubt he is a head of the calender. You dont simply win the man of the match in a game that involves rooney, gaucho, neymar , lampard and gerrard. Dont compare him to tom . Tom(Cleverley)has time to develop to that mould of Jack.”
Guys,its our very own Gary.He does talk sense.
Gary should shut his fucking mouth first criticising da gea and now saying tom to mould in like jack-ass who does he support shitty if he dosent stop saying that our players are average than fergie is going to slap him sillyy ,,,,ridicules this guy is united legend talking shit about our players maybe he should try schmicle some day he will show him his place fuccking idiot
