Rio made better contact, it probably hurt more, lol.
Bastards at the FA, in for us everytime.
It was 3 games, 1 extra because of the appeal put it which he deserves
Hmm I don’t really see much of a difference. So, ummm what the fuck
Not the first time they have screwed us over and it won’t be the last. Hopefully we will deal with this like we did with the Evra injustice last year.
United versus 11 over-rated d**kheads plus 3 bent officials plus the sweetFA plus Jeff “John Terry is in the clear” Winter plus the dodgy Match Schedulers (notice how many 17:30 starts Utd get in the Winter months?). Was it ever any different? Notice how our enemies are getting more and more desperate as each wonderful, glorious football year goes by?
United are the best because we’ve spent years battling against the odds, getting better and better every time the wheel goes round! Our rivals don’t want to put the work in so they look for the easy way out all the time – looking for favours from weak – minded and greedy people in authority!
Adversity makes you strong – and a free ride makes you fat and slow – are you listening Chelski? Perhaps when they’ve figured it out they’ll realise why UEFA contrived to f**k them out of the Champions League last year – Chelski gets one type of “special” referee in England and a very different type of “special” referee in Europe!
Not to mention Carlo Ancellotti’s special “vitamin” injections up the bum! You know, the ones that make old, injured has – beens run around around like a spring bunny on speed? How many players have tested positive for drugs in Italia in the last 5 years? Is this what Italian managers call “expertise”?
Well, Rio deserved his suspension. The anger should be aimed at him for taking such a ridicoulosly unnecessary shot at Fagan while captaining United and coming back from injury.
there’s no difference the fa is a joke but you have to ask what the fuck rio was doing unless something happened first which he reacted to that wasn’t caught on camera
i dont see no difference
the fa disciplinary committe and the appeal process are ridiculous but you have ask the question of what the feck was Rio at.
Has he forgotten that he plays for Man Utd?
Does he not know by now that every action is going to be followed by an overreaction?
Rio should know better by now.
Hopefully Vidic should be fit for the title run in.
I’m used to it by now, it obviously shouldn’t be the case but I just expect and accept that United will always get tougher punishments for everything.
If the Ingurland captain, Mr. England, Mr. British Bulldog did this it would have been swept under the carpet.
Meh, there we go!
LUHG
The FA is a joke – but in all this why are we forgetting that Rio was fucking stupid. And he pretty much did the same vs. Tevez yesterday, which guarenteed his ban today…He knows how important he is, and has been missing for a while – does he really have to be that stupid?
Yep, the fa might have it in for utd.
Surely there is enough brain capability within man utd , eg david gill, FA director et al or elsewhere to get some sort of independent panel or whatever check in place to check that the decision committee is being universal in its decision making eg similar incidents get the same punishment, (so that there is some sort of benchmarking taking place)
Benchmarking is used in many appraisal systems at work , why not just adapt it – is this not just common sense?
Double standards every time but Rio should know better. As long as Vidic is back, which looks likely seeing as he was on the bench last night, I am more than happy to have him and Evans. I like that pairing.
EddietheRed – Great posts.
Why don’t the United players just tell the FA that when playing for England they be doing none of there PR and Press?
Wow, it has really become a luxury to see Rio and Vidic playing together these days.2 years ago they were playing together all the time. Now they haven’t done so in nearly 4 months.
I hope the risk we took by playing him yesterday will be worth it. Because now he will miss the two trips to Aston Villa and Everton. The best we can hope for, is that by the time we have a full strength squad Chelsea will be within touching distance.
that little argie prick always gets off, anyone remember the jeremie aliadiere incident? he got a 4 game ban as well
Wht abt the charge on united for the coin on bellamy when a similar incidence happened to Evra at wastelands!
We all cheared when it happened, it looked like Fagan had run into Rio and bounced off him. (Seat is in East stand tier 2) Rio was stupid for doing what he did but I ‘ve been saying for months now that Utd are being treated differently by the FA and Refs. Craig Bellend got away with hitting a fan, How? John Terry gets away with murder almost every week just like Shearer did, Carlos Kettleneck goes in on Wes Brown with studs showing, just a yellow when many players have seen Red. No wonder SAF gets pissed off. Anyway we like to win the hard way.
@james21
Good point about Shearer. I remember a 6-2 romp at St James’ Park in 2003, where Shearer caused slight injuries to Keane, O’Shea and Silvestre. None of that was violent conduct of course…
Anyway, Rio is 31 to 32 now and he knows better than anyone, that you can’t get away with stuff like that if you play for Man United. The only United player who was lucky to avoid a charge was Rooney against Stoke a year ago.
Ferdinand is supposed to be a professional, he should know better. Of course players are humans, and even the best ones sometimes lose the plot (e.g Zidane) but come on Rio, we have been missing you so much, playing so long with only Evra as defender and you’ve got to do such a stupid thing?
True for the double standards though, they just never miss a chance to try to screw us. The papers never write about this somehow.
FA = Fxxking Assholes
I knew this would happen! Man Utd should refuse the FA to call up any of our players if this keep on going like this!
lmao channy every fan who supports a club with an england player says that when someone gets a ban
EddieTheRed, most of your points are a bit far-fetched but your point about doping in football is very interesting. It seems to me that no-one wants to believe this because it tarnishes the sport we love, but I think you’re on to something. AC Milan and their “lab” where players in their late thirties amazingly rediscover fitness levels they hadn’t had since their twenties. Remember our games against AC Milan when oldies like Maldini and Cafu ran rings around Rooney and Ronaldo? Makes you wonder.
Thought up a chant lads, what do you think? It might not be the most original but i think it works:
To the tune of Rio by Duran Duran
His first name’s Rio and his second’s Ferdinand
Plays for United, best defender in the land
I’m back!
City are going to dominate the world said Cook
City are going to dominate us said Cook
City are going to get to Wembley said Cook
City are going to do this said Cook and City are going to do that said Cook
Point is Cook forgot to mention
That WE HAVE FUCKING DONE IT ARE DOING IT AND WILL CONTINUE TO DO IT and that City have really done fuck all forgot to say Cook.
Which is the whole point about the point that Cook was trying to make regarding the point
Get my point : )
About the FA
Listen – they let the Glazer’s take us over and said we are happy with what they have shown us – United are in good hands.
That tells you they hate us and have always done.
We and our players have been ridiculed – expect nothing less from them?
Should Rio have known better – of course! But who gives a fuck we knew it was coming I bet he feels like shit at being singled out.
No doing a RAWK – we’ll leave that to them.
We’ll do what we always do – move on and get going – got big fish to fry.
Oh please could that Roo moon song get to Old Trafford – fuck me that will kill our noisy neighbours – whoever got that going deserves a knighthood : )
The F A are a bunch of clusterfucks! They’re so inconsistent, it beggers belief. I ultimately blame Rio for being such an idiot and giving the twats at the F A the ammunition, but how did Mascherano get away with the same offence. Also, what’s all this frivilous appeal malarky. How can any appeal, a chance to defend yourself be frivilous. Even murderers and rapist are afforded that right without it effecting their prison sentences. In fact, they get more favourable sentences for admitting guilt. How can the F A be so draconian. If they don’t want players using appeals to make sure they don’t miss the next game, the F A should get off their arses and deal the the offence the very next day, even if it is a Sunday. Footballers work Saturday and Sundays, why not those at the F A, they get paid enough and Sky does most of the leg work for them anyway. If they had a brain cell between them, they’d be dangerous. F-ucking A-meoba’s
Leave the corruption shit for RAWK, we’re better than that.
It’s ridiculous that Mascherano didn’t get charged for that cause it’s basically the same thing, but we’re better than those utter utter cunts.
End of the day regardless of the Mascherano incident it was still worthy of a ban, got to just accept it and move on. Just wish Vidic would hurry the hell up getting fit.
@ TeeJ
Love that mate! Gotta get that chant goin.
And we’re surprised because ?????????
What is quite amazing in this – as in the other “RioGate” over the missed drugs testing is how radically-different the UTD player was treated as opposed to the example of Mascherano in the video or the ManShitty guy who got – what ? – two weeks.
And, the FA is the body which supervises these matters in the interest of fairness ? What a joke – why does Rio want to play for Ingerland and its FA ? I’d tell them to put their national team in a place where the sun don’t shine – but I’m not a professional footie player, just a person with a sense of evenhandness and justice for all.
I think the incident with Ferdinand and Fagan deserved a ban to be hones – silly move by Rio. But the Mascherano incident was almost identical and the camera angle was much better. How on earth wasn’t that he punished like Rio?
This is beyond me. Once again FA prove that they’re fucking idiots and clearly don’t understand the term double standards.
You think Terry would have gotten away with this?
Does any body know when Vidic is going to come back?We need atleast 1 of them(either Rio or Vidic) back because our defence looks shaky without either of them.

Check this out
Anyone knew about the guy who threw the bottle at Bellendmy? Apparently, the Bitters fans found out about him and his family’s personal info has been leaked on the net. They’re making threats, sending takeaways, escorts etc to him.

Another Prank
@Wazza:
Ha ha, good one.
Good spot, almost identical reactions.
I don’t think anyone claims that Rio shouldn’t have received some level of punishment, but all we want is consistency from the FA. They’re an absolute disgrace and do themselves no favours with these kind of rulings.
Bizarre that every other fan continues to say we’re favoured by officials and the FA!
What Rio did was wrong but I fail to recall any incident which is given an extra ban by “frivolous appeal.” Many clubs put in an appeal to delay suspensions but never an extra ban. Also anyone else surprised how quickly the FA have moved to get this all sorted. Usually it takes at least a week, surely it can’t have anything to do with the l’arse game on Sunday. Could it?
@Costas
I remember that game well, I was spitting fire. It was one game of many that Alan Shearer got away with Murder.
Fergie has referred to the Mascherano incident in today’s press. I think he reads RoM. He also mentioned the Gallas leg-breaker on the Bolton fella going unpunished. According to Fergie, Rio was reacting to a snide punch (presumably in the back) from Fagan. That’s a cunt’s trick, hitting Rio in his injured back. That’s why Rio lost his cool.
To- whover said the challenges are similar-
cant you all see the clear difference between the two swings? Mascherano wasnt banned, and Rio was, because Rio is clearly, clearly, clearly wearing the United jersey!
thats a joke the footage of Rio was a lot worse then the footage of that scouse twat.
FA is full of knob heads
fagan was pulling and holding not just him, but every united player he came close to. he was excessively aggressive to everything, studs up challenges went into double figures pretty early, and he had no problem taking the man rather than the ball, kicking out at any klegs that came within 3 feet of him.
he seems to be hell-bent on usurping the position that kevin davies has held for so many years, of dirtiest player around. he spent every minute getting in our player’s faces at any opportunity, over-challenging for every ball, holding players, pulling defenders back and getting chesty with the united players at every breakdown. not one fucking iota of this was policed by the referee – fagan seems to operate in a referee free zone.
pierre luigi colina would have spoken to him after 3 minutes and would have carded him after 15 and none of this shit would have happened. rio got tired of being vblatantly, openly pulled, held, rabbit punched and wrestled. so he did what keane used to do and stepped up to bring balance and order to a player who has been – in every game i’ve seen him in – wildly out of control.
the premiership has the best football in the world, and the fastest, and the most useless inept refereeing ever. funny that.
d
Fuck the fa we still gonna sit on england dis tym & sit on europe 2
Fuck all done by the FA when Ballack drops Evra in open play.
Fuck all done by the FA when Gallas dopped the Bolton player with a leg breaker
Rio gets done for a scuffle in the box
The dickheads who run the league are a joke – they show show so much blatant bias agaisnt us – but we are strong – we will overcome – we are Manchester United
Oh yeah and the Glazers can fuck off as well
Rio deserves his ban but sky sports news showing it every 5 minutes hardly helped his case. Also, why was there no retrospective action taken against Gallas for leaving a Bolton player on crutches the other night. I dont care what non united fans say, there is a conspiracy against us from the press, the fa and the referees. Some of the decisions given against us this season beggar belief and our coverage in the press, well lets just the vulchers are circling.
เหีย – the FA are a bunch of faggs and crap holes
