  2. Fred says:

    Robin van who?

  3. chrsprk26 says:

Yes, it was a well taken goal, but come on, he was painful to watch until that moment.

  4. devil's own says:

had almost typed ‘ bebe’s a liability’ and this guy scores. !!
will give the lad confidence !!

how good was lingard for the short time he was on !!
    love that kid ..

  5. devil's own says:

    BebeL3G3ND

  6. chrsprk26 says:

    lingard was fantastic.

  7. devil's own says:

Powell blackett shinji played the best i feel.

    lingard again impressive !!

  8. Costas says:

He beat the goalkeeper in deadly fashion.

  9. Raizzen says:

    Who was the assist ?

  10. xol says:

Iphone – Someone was asking about streams – have you tried downloading sopcast lite?

  11. Fred says:

The Jewel of Vitória Guimarães finally shines for United. 8)

  12. Costas says:

I was pissed off big time about the Smalling injury and the fact that at this rate we will line up Rio and Carrick as a defensive duo at Goodison, but this has more than made up for it.

  13. Fred says:

Costas – Maybe Bébé can play centre-back? His clearances would be good, he could just imagine he is trying to cross it.

  14. Zibbie says:

Kebab, wow a sad, sick laugh I just had.

  15. xol says:

If Keane was on that pitch today, most of the players would have got a bollocking for not passing the ball forwards.

  16. devil's own says:

Javier Hernandez will never enter the first-team, unless he improves on his link-up play, hold-up play, and his first-touch, which is erratic. He only really comes into life when he is in the box, we all know that, but for us to gain points in difficult circumstances – we need a player that is well-rounded.

  17. Zibbie says:

    5 CB’S not enough!!!

  18. devil's own says:

i think bebe wanted to cut the ball back to vermijil..
hence it went in the opposite direction :D

  20. xol says:

It’s bloody done it again, got inks on the words ‘players’ and ‘forwards’ that I didn’t put there. Once again, I don’t use or endorse fedex. In fact here are some links to other couriers!

  21. mig78 says:

    chrsprk26 @ 16.02,

i concur you. but probably the lad haven’t got over the stage fright the moment he came on. some of his early touches were awful.

  22. devil's own says:

i think our glass dolls that play center half bar vidic will hold on for 10 weeks..

although at this rate, we’d have bebe and carrick starting at center half..

  23. Zibbie says:

Lil Pea needs a chill pill, relax slow down let the game come to you. I like uppers not downers, some people just need a little chronic now and then

  24. Arjunited says:

They say He is a Legend. 8)

  25. devil's own says:

@zibbie : he still needs to work on his link up play, else he’ll keep losing out to welbz.

  26. Costas says:

    @Fred

 Even better than Vida’s clearances.

    @Zibbie

5 CBs should be enough. But not these 5. And not these 7 regular defenders we have at the moment. Not with some guys’ track record with injuries. For Chris Smalling, this is his 10th hiatus with injury in the 2 years he’s been at United.

  27. Fred says:

    LMAO Ajunited

  28. samuel - united WE stand says:

Bitter fuckers will not give bebe the credit he deserves. If bebe looked painful within the few minutes he was on then what will you say about hernandez?. Just accept it, bebe will come good. He’s built like a power fucking house, he’s skillful. People don’t know how much confidence and belief he’ll get after this goal. The touch and then the goal was executed fantastically.

  29. Costas says:

*I meant 10th hiatus due to injury or illness*

  30. mig78 says:

chicarito was really rusty, he appears like someone who had been out for a season.

  31. Utd4life says:

Good finish from Bebe but there is still lots of room for improvement. That is all I will say for now. Kagawa oozed class and quality while he was on the pitch. He looked very comfortable on the ball, manages to hold up the ball quite well and put in a couple of good through balls. He looks to have settled in well with the team which bodes well. He was definitely the best player on the pitch.
I thought Powell had a decent debut. The lad has got talent which was evident in the way he managed to untangle himself from the corner and the 1-2 with Lingard which led to a shot on goal so I was pretty pleased with his performance. Is he ready for the first team?? Can’t say.
Still not convinced with Ando. Looked pretty pedestrian to me. The lad needs to lose weight and start applying himself else I would not be surprised if the likes of Tunnicliffe ( who had a pretty good game) and Powell get the nod ahead of him.

  32. Fred says:

Samuel I’m sick of you trying to jump on the Bébé bandwagon. You’ve been running him down for months and now you want to bask in the reflected glory of this Bébé wondergoal. Well no sir, you may not ride the Bébé bandwagon. The seats are all taken. 8)

  33. devil's own says:

    The Bebelution has begun. apparently.

  34. mig78 says:

i like bebe’s dance when he scored though, only p.crouch can do better than that. :)

  35. devil's own says:

Six foot two, eyes aren’t blue, Bébé sells the Big Issue, with a knick knack paddy wack give a dog a bone, now he can afford a home…
STR pinning the bebe songs on twitter ! : D

  36. Costas says:

The parallels are amazing. Exactly 2 years after one star was born, a new one was born today!

    http://therepublikofmancunia.com/video-obertan-explains-goal-celebration/

  37. Utd4life says:

Chico looks out of sorts to me. He put in a beautiful cross to Kagawa which Kagawa should have buried but apart from that he looked quite ordinary. Maybe it’s rustiness but he needs to improve his overall game.

  38. mig78 says:

    Utd4life,

yup very pleased with kagawa’s performance, would have been nice if he had scored from the header. Pretty sure he’ll gel in well with welbeck, young, rooney & co.

  39. Fred says:

Costas – wow, let’s hope it’s an omen and Bébé goes on to hit the dizzying heights Obertan reached for us.

  40. samuel - united WE stand says:

Vermijl was impressive at right back, perhaps rafael won’t be relaxing any time soon. Anderson had a good work out, he’ll get better with more games.

Kagawa is without doubt a classy potentially world class player. His first touch, movement, passing range, vision and intelligence can be visible.

Powell showed his potential as wel. Combining on the edge and slamming a shot. He’s creative talent that will come good. Tunnicliffe is a dynamic midfielder. Energetic and will make his presence felt. His passing looks to have improved, his positioning will get better. He’ll be the box to box midfielder people want.

We also have petrucci, the future hopefully looks good.

Heard about smalling, disappointing news. 10 fucking weeks? rehabilitation will hopefully not take long.

  41. mig78 says:

haha costas, that was spot on.

  42. samuel - united WE stand says:

Fred – if you have no proof of me putting bebe down (which you clearly don’t, throwing random allegations about) then don’t bother. I’ve always said i’m willing to give him every chance to come good. Never degraded him. You just can’t give bebe credit, i know it hurts that he may just come good and prove people wrong.

  43. Utd4life says:

mig78. Yes, I am sure he will have a good time with the proper first team. The lad has good vision and I think a front 4 of Kagawa-Rooney-Nani-Valencia will create all sorts of problems for the opposition.

Regarding Bebe, I think he has all the attributes to be a strong, powerful CF like Drogba but lets not kid ourselves, the guy has got a LONG way to go before he becomes even half as good as Drogba. Realistically, I don’t see him having a career at UTD but I am sure he will have a very good career elsewhere.

  44. 911_DEVIL says:

The street kids haters are still banging in o:
The guy only had 20minutes in
After, I don’t how many months is of not playing real football
For fucks sake the guy had an almost career ending injury
But he gets a shot in a pre season match in which every1 looked like not wanting to score
He gets a single chance and he bangs into the back of the net and still are people who still cannot see anything beyond their red tinted glasses WTF????

Please people please he saved our reputation there
The ABU’s will bang on about, but it will stink for them to still in the same article write Bebe’s name as being our saviour on the match we almost lost
Cause they humiliated him a lot ever since we signed him

It hurts me hear there are still people hating on him after that, even though it was just a friendly pre-season game
But let’s give the lad some credit

  45. Zibbie says:

Tunni looks like a MF Rooney cousin 3 X’s removed and better looking. A player, seems to work well with others!
Powell nice shot, in time many goals from the top of the box.
    Lindgard looks a player.
Petrucci looks smooth in control for his age, does not hurry has no worries mon, Now I’m in Ocho Rios climbing Dunes river falls,, breaking away from the group showing the guides I am water man ( Beluga Whale type) and can handle it on my own. One guide tells me to go to the far side of the river against the rock wall go under and there will be a cave of air and I can climb for 50 feet to the top of a ridge. Off goes a big sexy 285 lbs Zib, I get to the far side, and he says right there big mon, by now 4 other have broken away from the hand holding Lemmings. I go under, as he said a tunnel of air with 2 feet of water above my head. HOW FUCKING COOL!! Off i go, and climb the big ass slippery rocks, with this big  on my face. 2 or so minutes latter I break through the top. A cheer from the Lemmings and a hand and a smile from the guides.

    GO ROONEY!!!!

  46. Fred says:

911 – I agree, I’d rather we bought more players like Bébé than kept on relying on dregs from Real Madrid. Cheers!

  47. EricCantonaToldMeToTweet says:

Robin van Bebe. One can only dream of such a perfect deadly combo.

  48. Utd4life says:

911_Devil. I don’t think anyone cares about results in pre seasn games. It wouldn’t have really mattered even if we had lost the game. Yes, we should win our pre season games to get our confidence for the regular season but pre season games are all about giving young players some first team exposure and getting the first team players match fit.
Regarding Bebe, you make a couple of good points. No one hates the lad but they just do not see him making it at UTD and hopefully he will prove us all wrong including myself. Maybe he appeared rusty because he played after God knows how long so I will give him the benefit of doubt this time.

  49. Zibbie says:

@Fred for you and all the Barneys out there.
Here we come, on the run, with a burger and a bun with a pickle and tomato on the siiide!

    Willllmmmmaaaa!!!!!!!!

Betty is a hot little Betty.

Ginger or Mary Ann. I’m a Mary Ann fanny fan. The real Life Betty!

  50. samuel - united WE stand says:

Me, i would put my hands up and give any player i doubt credit when they come good. I’m a sceptic but i’ll always want people to prove me wrong, that would mean they’ve come good for united. FERGIE sees something in bebe that none of us can, he sees him in training regularly. Wipe the slate clean and give him a chance. It would be amazing if he defies the odds and becomes a top player.

When FERGIE signed him, he said bebe will need a lot of time to come good. Anderson gets 5years and we’re still wondering if he’ll come good (i actually think ando will step up this season) but bebe should at least be given his own fair chances.

  51. Fred says:

    Nice one Zibbie! Funny episode.

Shanghai Shenhua next up… Ohhhh Bébé!

  52. 911_DEVIL says:

He’s ambitious, you can see that
He’s always looking a chance to strike
He always looks to beat his man

TBH in our squad, only Antonio V does that on his day
But even if he doesn’t make it at united
But the lad has got goals in him
    Enough said

  53. denton davey says:

Utd4Life @ 16:23: “Still not convinced with Ando. Looked pretty pedestrian to me.”

Alas, too true. Good in parts BUT also not-good in parts. Unimpressive from a guy who needs to impress.

Utd4Life @ 16:42: “Regarding Bebe, I think he has all the attributes to be a strong, powerful CF like Drogba but lets not kid ourselves, the guy has got a LONG way to go before he becomes even half as good as Drogba.”

When Didier Drogba was 24/25 he was still toiling in the French 3rd division. Cut Bebe some slack – definitely a work-in-progress but the raw tools (speed and power and a ferocious shot) are all there; he needs “refinement”. But, let’s not forget, that this kid was living in an orphanage and playing street-footie a couple of years ago and then was moved to the very top of the professional pile – a huge, huge, huge jump so it’s not surprising that he’s still just “raw” and “a project”. We may never see this guy put those tools to use, but I’d be patient with him.

  54. 911_DEVIL says:

He’s ambitious, you can see that

TBH in our squad, only Antonio V does that on his day

But the lad has got goals in him
    Enough said

    He has a future
And while fergie is still at the helms of the club, he’s going to keep him
As long as he bihavs himself

  55. Fred says:

Zibbie – I’ve never seen Gilligan’s Island, so had to Google those two chicks you just mentioned but I’m going to pick Ginger… You talk about a cheesecake! Ohhhhhh baybayyy!!!!!

  56. Zibbie says:

DD great post, I get blogs slog people. From no home or parents that care, to MUFC in 3 years!! Wow a Lifetime Movie here.

  57. samuel - united WE stand says:

If anyone thought ajax capetown were out there playing like it’s a friendly then you’d be massively wrong. They made it tough for united, they’re a solid team with pace. I know it’s a pre season game but can anyone imagine the confidence it will give bebe after all the abuse, degradation and invasion into his private life? something like that elevates players.

  58. Zibbie says:

Sexy babe for sure, hot sexy movie star VS hot little body and ass from the girl next door.

When you watch Mary Ann baking coconut pie.. uuummmmyyyy!
Ginger grab the scruff of her hair and …

In the US this is an Iconic question for men. No right answer just preference.

  59. ronnykeano says:

    He’s shit.

  60. samuel - united WE stand says:

Denton – constructive view there. Greatly put together. Bebe has the tools, time will tell if he develops it. The confidence he’ll get is definitely positive for me. Patience, patience is what is needed.

Regarding anderson, i thought he had a mix match but the qualities are there. Let’s hope he steps up this season.

  61. United Till I Die says:

Very impressed with Kah-goo-ah, easily MOTM and might just have what we’ve been missing. Rather than a overhaul as many want, Alex knows how to bring in players who bring out the best in others. The seniors were all solid, as were the youngsters who did themselves a credit. Assuming ACT were near full strength we did well today imo.

The most important thing is minutes on the clock. Even if it ended 1-0 it wouldn’t be end of the world but 1-1 was a fair result. I saw enough to be pleased with and wouldn’t complain if we started next month with the Squad as is. Powell in midfield looks interesting.

As for Bebe, he looked v. rusty until he scored but you’d be a blooming cretin if you expected anything less. What part of “hasn’t played sod all football for nearly a year” don’t some people understand? Far greater Strikers lose form after a three match ban (hint hint) so cut the vastly inexperienced Bebe some slack. Its like people don’t want him to improve? Just be grateful he scored ffs nobody else did.

  62. denton davey says:

Fred @ 16:46: ” I’d rather we bought more players like Bébé than kept on relying on dregs from Real Madrid.”

If you’re referring to Nuri Sahin then I’d disagree; Sahin has had “bad luck” at Madrid – injuries, off-the-pace, a team fighting for the trophy, and real quality ahead of him. He was pure class at Borussia Dortmund and a change-of-scenery would probably do him the world of good.

“more players like Bebe” – I’d actually disagree with “taking-a-punt” on raw raw-talent. It’s been tried with Djemba-Djemba, Manucho, Dong, Diouf, Obertan and the fast French kid (David ??) who went on to play in Ligue 1 BUT none of the others have been able to make the step up to a CL-level team.

Bebe is somewhat exceptional insofar as his life-history is almost unique – basically, he was discovered playing on the street and had NO experience of playing footie in a professional environment. His life-story is like the plot of the movie THE NATURAL [a baseball film starring Robert Redford, which was based on a novel by Bernard Malamud]).

He took his goal very well – calm and composed in controlling the ball and then rifled his shot into the open goal – but most of the rest of the time his raw-ness showed through. The odds are definitely against him but I’d just love to see him succeed – especially if he gives up that “so-last-year” goal celebration.

  63. Mikekelly12 says:

I don’t hate Bebe, don’t even know the lad. Nor am I basing my opinion on his cameo appearance or his goal today. I just don’t rate him. I don’t understand why people get so hot under the collar when someone doesn’t rate a player, shouting and ranting. If we were all sat in a boozer discussing players we’d have a balanced discussion and continue to banter and drink a few pints with smiles in our faces with nobody shouting and screaming at each other because of a difference of opinion. Not sure why it happens on here?

  64. 911_DEVIL says:

Sir cedars would help me here
Samuel already doing a great part

  65. Amy says:

Some of you twats need to cut Bebe some slack. As one poster so intelligently put it, FERGIE sees something that you red tinted mongooses dont. So thats good enough for me. Theres every chance he can enter Beast mode in time.

  66. Fred says:

Denton Davey – I wasn’t referring to Sahin or any other Real Madrid player, it was just an in-joke aimed at 911_DEVIL. :)

  67. samuel - united WE stand says:

United till i die – great post mate. I agree about kagawa being the man of the match. He just Oozes class everytime he’s on the ball. He’ll definitely improve united’s attack.

Regarding bebe, couldn’t agree more. We should encourage him to defy the odds and make it, that would be some story. Things like this happen in life, from rock bottom to the top. If it’s his destiny then who knows.

  68. Fred says:

Amy – oh that’s fine talk for a lady. Shame on you.

  69. Costas says:

Bebe has done very well in this tour when you consider he’s there without his Mame and Nani. :P

    @Fred

Ha, cheers for the pic. Look at that fool Giggsy. Studying the game while the other two play with their cells. No doubt who will make it into management out of those 3. ;)

  70. samuel - united WE stand says:

mikekelly – you’re entitled to your opinion. You don’t rate him, fair enough but i was just joking.

  71. mansuy united says:

    Some Kagawa highlights: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MMNBHoKxe0g

    Includes Bebe’s dance :)

  72. Ash says:

One big positive in this game was Kagawa. We have signed a great player. Powell also impressed me. I think it would be better if he starts preseason instead of Scholes. With the look of things I think Sir alex still feels Scholes can play week and week out. I still believe we lack in creativity.

And Congrats to bebe. I would be very happy if he succeeds here. It would be a big slap on the face of ABU’S

  73. Costas says:

Fergie also saw something in Bellion, Djemba Djemba and Obertan as well.

A few other United legends. ;)

  74. 911_DEVIL says:

    Fred
We are being fooled by the dregs of madrid :P

  75. 911_DEVIL says:

Or let me put it this way:

We are being fooled by real dregs ;) !!!!

  76. Fred says:

mansuy – thanks for the link. If Bébé keeps up this hot scoring streak, “the Bébé dance” will become the biggest thing to hit the dancefloor since the Macarena.

Costas – am I imagining it or was there an animated gif of that picture? I thought there was but I couldn’t find it.

  77. samuel - united WE stand says:

Ash – with all the attacking players we have, creativity is surely the last thing that we lack?. We have a lot of mobility, youthful exuberance, skill and creativity. I see a great team being formed here. Patience is obviously needed.

  78. Utd4life says:

Denton. I am sure the Gaffer will give Bebe 5 more years to improve and develop his trade if he sees something in the kid. After all, he has stuck it out with Ando for the past 5 years so I am sure the Gaffer will Bebe every chance in the world to prove himself. Anyways, like United Till I Die said, the lad played proper footie after a really long time so I am sure his rawness was due to rustiness.
I would have liked to see a bit more of Powell. The guy had very few touches on the ball but from what I saw, I think SAF might just throw him in the deep end immediately.
Special mention to Lingard as well. That kid amazes me every time I watch him play. Everyone’s been banging about the likes of Morrison and Pogba but is this kid the real deal? Only time will tell but he has got a bit more quality than the other youngsters. He looks very comfortable on the ball and has an eye for a good pass like the one which almost made it to Berba. He needs a nice loan spell to harness those skills.

  79. Fred says:

Costas – great point about Bellion, Djemba etc. I don’t really understand why some Reds form these strange attachments to certain players. The things people are saying about Bébé now are the same things they used to say about Tosic, Obertan and Diouf. Sometimes you can just tell a player isn’t going to make it at United. Were these people big Liam Miller fans too? You could tell that guy was crap right from the beginning. It happens. We move on.

  80. Zibbie says:

Kebab my favorite pessimistic pal, like sarcasm when done well  Costas a counter balance to over optimistic ZIBBIE!!! A dose of realism. I will take 2 doses please!!!!

  81. Zibbie says:

For every 5 Tosic, Obeywanheadfreaks one Lil Pea. I will take those odds.
    20

  82. TonyBee says:

right on Fred you tell her….we don’t need any more fucking swearing on here do we….oops…..

  83. Costas says:

Like I said after that Obertan goal against Philly 2 years ago, if you are a fan long enough, you know that these games mean fuck all. I am genuinely happy that Bebe scored, but it won’t do a lot to answer the questions a lot of us have about this transfer. The boy has a long way ahead of him if he’s going to make it and justify Fergie’s (literally) blind faith. Nothing wrong with some harmless humor imo. A lot better than the treatment some United players have gotten from some folks in here.

    @Fred

I remember watching it before, but only as an image. Not a gif. If there was one, I am sure you would know about it. ;)

  84. Fred says:

Thanks Costas, I must have imagined the gif.

  85. Zibbie says:

    IPO=Signings

    Me
    Willie the wing
Fred a reborn Robbo/ I think a clone like the famous sheep some 20 years back. Not from Leeds.
MG an old fashion sweeper like Duncan
    Shaq at Keeper.

  86. Utd4life says:

mansuy United. Thanks for the link mate. That was a nice compilation of plays which shows how effective Kagawa can be. I wish he had converted that header into a goal. That would have summed up his debut perfectly.

  87. TonyBee says:

    i don’t know what your on Zibster….but by fuck I wish I had some…….

  88. Costas says:

    @Fred

A bit touchy for me since I am also known to have a strong attachment to 1-2 United players. :) And back in the day one of them was Kleberson. It happens. Maybe it’s the whole underdog syndrome. A relatively unknown player with a chance to make it at United? It’s a feel good story. Plus, none of the guys you mentioned were pricks in any way. I am fine with anyone backing these lads but like I said, I am also fine with anyone making the odd joke about them. It’s way harmless than wishing harm on them or calling them names.

    @Zibbie

Oh come on pal. You know this blog can’t do without my pessimism!

  89. TonyBee says:

Costas…yeah i know what you mean ….its all Gibsons. fault……

  90. Mikekelly12 says:

    Samuel
Wasn’t directed at you mate, nor any posts today to be fair, thinking more about the comments the other night. But People seem to be kicking off and being labeled twats and cunts because they don’t think he’s any good. I drink pre game with King Eric, Giggs12, James21 and we have different views on certain players but we don’t start calling each other twats and cunts and screaming at each other. I find it bizarre that people are like that on here.

  91. 911_DEVIL says:

    I freaking care about all
    All I can is that
Everytime the boy stepped into the pitch scores
    Whether its a pre-season

Tony Bee strong coffee and nicotine, this is a sober me, out of weed. Every few months I go a week or so with no weed. This is the first day. I don’t wake and bake. I have chronic pain, chronic weed works better for me then pharmaceutics. 17 States have Medical weed now, Iowa almost had it then voted in some old Republican Governor dude and he vetoed it!!! If they do not pass it next year I’m moving to Oregon coast. I hate breaking the law for pain relief.

  93. TonyBee says:

Mike…its all about some trying to force the idea that their particulate views have some relevance….but after all only one view counts and that’s the Main one in my opinion …… SAF’S

  94. Costas says:

    @TonyBee

 Definitely! If only he scored 8 goals against City in that game where Everton beat them, we would have won the title on goal difference. Useless twat. :P

  95. Zibbie says:

I love U Kebab and enjoy all your post. I mean it you are good at it
And I love your Red brain!!!!

  96. TonyBee says:

Zibster …yeah heard that some states were actually growing ‘skank’ as we call it here…..

  97. Fred says:

Utd4Life – spot on about Kagawa.

Zibbie – I think the sheep was called Dolly, right? Funnily enough, our brilliant early-90s centre-back pairing Bruce & Pallister were nicknamed “Dolly & Daisy” for some reason. I have no idea which was which though.

Costas – Like you say, it often seems that fans rally round a player who is coming in for a lot of criticism and that seems to be what’s going on here with Bébé. I think you’ve solved the mystery. Thanks.

  101. Fred says:

Redbilly – if you bump into Karagounis, tell him he was robbed by that ref in the Russia game.

  102. Fred says:

On second thoughts, I think I’d prefer Roy Hodgson or Jonathan Ross to deliver that message…

  103. samuel - united WE stand says:

No attachment to bebe. I just think he should be given his fair chance like any player. he Haswhad about 2 or 3games. Fletcher once looked a complete donkey but he developed into e top class player. I mentioned anderson in an earlier post, he’s had 5years. I’ll be watching bebe’s career with keen interest. If FERGIE believes in him then that’s all he’ll need to push on.

  104. Ash says:

    Samuel

Have to disagree with you. We have good amount of attacking players but there is no creativity in the midfield. I know these games mean fuck all but I believe we still need a proper Box to box midfielder.I agree we need to be patient but it does not change the fact that we lack a Fletcher type midfielder.

  105. Zibbie says:

Tony Bee, like some players make others better. I show up at a party I bring out the a better party-er in people!

2 Wed. ago a good friend and drummer started an open mike night at a bar, we go back to 13 and I can not play any interment, he insist I am an interment and since I was 15 I do a white boy rap rock steam of consciousnesses thing, all free form made up as we go. I saw him at the farmers market and invited me down, we bought the house down. This little 25 year old hottie after my second 30 min thing as I left the stage jumps up and raps her legs around my waist and her arms around my neck and kissed me with both set of her lips. I started out with the thought I had some 3 months back. Birth control and Bikinis changed the world. Dr.’s and Physiology majors love me ;mrgreen:

  109. Redbilly says:

Fred- woy is an elderly gent and not up to it .

  110. samuel - united WE stand says:

ash – i don’t know what you define as creativity. Fletcher is more of a destroyer than a creator, he’s energetic but never a playmaker. I think united have abundance of players in the attacking third but maybe more players that control the tempo is needed (scholes can’t play every game, carrick can’t do it all by himself). United have introduced young fresh blood into the team, we aren’t lethargic anymore. Younger players are coming through, we’ll see how they all progress.

Mikekelly – this is the internet, respect towards others is rarely seen. I’ve always maintained that everyone is entitled to their opinion. Disagree? well post your thoughts in a sensible manner.

  111. 911_DEVIL says:

    Okay zibbie :D

  112. Fred says:

Hahaha Redbilly. Same old story indeed. Hopefully that will never change. 8)

  113. Costas says:

    @Zibbie

Thanks pal. The feeling is mutual. I love some of you crazies in here.

    @Fred

And regarding Bebe, I think the way the tabloids treated him rallied our fans behind him. I felt the same as well. For me it goes like this. You may question or critisize the lad, but no more than you should question or critisize Fergie for this choice. Some aren’t gutsy enough to do that and prefer to single out Bebe.

  114. Fred says:

Samuel – Fletcher’s creativity is highly underrated. To call him a destroyer does him a great dis-service.

  115. Costas says:

    @RedBilly

Even I am jealous and it’s not that far away from me. :D

  116. Yang says:

Bebe has strange tendency scoring goal. He is not an United player right now but I think he can improve and become a good forward at somewhere else.

I am worrying about a whole team. I know it is only pre-season warm-up match but again, we already lost bunch of defenders due to usual injury. How we gonna line-up at league games? Attacking is so look disjointed that seems untrue.

  118. Utd4life says:

By the way, I was surprised to see Blackett play the entire game. I thought Brady would come on in the 2nd half since he is supposed to be our backup LB.

  121. Tonka Norris says:

Good to see Bebe get some glory. I really hope he comes good in the PL.

But it’s been a real shitty week for him, Chico, Kiko & Welbeck that we put in a punt for RVP. It makes no sense.

Some guy offered me a bet that the reason for that bid, and the rumors we’re still in the market for $25m plus players, is cos we’ve agreed to sell Rooney to PSG. I laughed in his face but I wouldn’t put anything beyond Glazernomics.

Our new 7 looked good today, huh? I think he’s heading for the best season yet!

  122. Fred says:

For anyone who, like me, needed reminding of the games we have coming up:

Shanghai – Wednesday 25 July – Shanghai Shenhua, Shanghai Stadium
Oslo – Sunday 5 August – Valerenga, Ullevaal Stadium
Gothenburg – Wednesday 8 August – Barcelona, Ullevi Stadium
Hanover – Saturday 11 August – Hannover 96, AWD Arena

Anyone know if/when Rooney, Nani, Young, Welbeck and Jones will join the tour?

  123. Zibbie says:

I just broke my tweeting cherry, on STR’s account!
What is Rooney’s official twitter site?

  124. Ash says:

    Samuel

I don’t know how you define creativity. Apart from kagawa we do not have a creattive midfielder. And I think you are underestimating Fletcher. He used create goals more often that not. We need a midfielder who can unlock the defence. Sorry to say but scholes and giggs cannot do that for 90 mins. Carrick has become more of a defensive midfielder. I am asking where is the energy in the midfield. We are very quick to blame Hernandez or Berbatov or Macheda but we never look at the real problem. It is in the midfield,

Kagawa would solve some problem bu the cannot keep on doing that alone. Powell could be the answer but he is very young, needs some experience. During the ronaldo era we didn’t need energy from midfield as ronnie himself Unlocked the defence but after his departure the weakness in midfield is visible. Lucas moura could also do well if we sign him. Lucas reminds me of Rivaldo and that is the kind of player we need.

  129. Ash says:

Like I said I am very impressed by Kagawa. He is quick and changes his position also. So that is a big bonus. The best thing I like about him is he loves to be in goal scoring position. So we could expect atleast 10 goals every season from him. But i will predict 15+ goals each season if he stays injury free

  130. CedarsDevil says:

Oh dear the world loses another soul……….Now Zibbie on twitter

  131. Costas says:

Once again Fred is one step ahead.

    @Utd4life

Interesting. But I like what Fergie doing here. Brady and Blackett are still green at this point and he wants to check both of them out to see who he can depend on. I still feel that we need more experience at the full back areas, but one of the biggest positives of this tour is Brady and Blackett being involved with the first team. Hopefully one of them will be counted on next season.

  132. dannysoya LOVES SIAN MASSEY says:

LOOOL I laughed so hard at Bebe’s celebration. LEGEND!!!!

Now to more serious stuff. I was impressed with Kagawa. Hardly gave the ball away, brilliant awareness. Superb reader of the game. Will bring some brilliant balance to this line-up. Cuz of the players he was surrounded by today, his passes were not made use of. I bet you that If Rooney latched onto that beautiful second half pass he gave hernandez, he’d have an assist already. Very happy with this signing.

  138. dannysoya LOVES SIAN MASSEY says:

Another thing I personally don’t think that Scholes should be starting for majority of the season. He is Paul Scholes but he is also old. Time to make Cleverley a regular starter. Scholes can come off the bench to settle things down later on. Cleverley and Kagawa with Carrick sitting in a 4-2-2-2 formation is fine by me. I feel that those two are the most creative midfield players we possess.

Epic stuff pal, thanks a lot……..He does look the real deal

  146. Utd4life says:

Costas. Yes, it’s nice to see both of them involved with the first team. However, I still feel that SAF will buy an established LB like Baines rather than go in with Brady, who despite his loan spell at Hull, is still inexperienced. Brady did quite well against AmaZulu but his real test will be against better quality opposition. Hence, I would be very surprised if SAF did go with Brady as the backup LB for the entire season.

  147. Utd4life says:

Cedars. He had a very good game mate. Didn’t look out of place, looks really comfortable on the ball, great vision and should have had a goal to his name.

Fun to play with and win shit!

  160. United Till I Die says:

@Costas and Fred – imho theres a flaw in your comparisons fellas. Those players you mentioned all played for professional Clubs since they were children so they’ve never had to play catch up with their peers. Obertan, Diouf, Gibson et al were all playing at the top of their game and it simply wasn’t good enough – but that isn’t the case with Bebe is it? Ferguson clearly stated Bebe ISN’T at the top of his game but we’ve have signed him to get him there, and herein lies the point!

Bebe is already a better player than the ones you’ve mentioned, as he’s already doing the impossible by being in a squad of players trained by professional clubs for most of their lives. So comparing him to Obertan isn’t accurate, as if Obertan walked into professional football straight off the street he wouldn’t have been good enough to join United. Bebe DID walk in off the street and he WAS good enough to join United and play in our reserves.

United have made it clear he’s a long term development, and now he’s scored on pre-season im sure Fergie will have more to say about our plans for him. But judging him prematurely is a bit like eating raw meat before its cooked and then complaining about food poisoning. Also im not belabouring the point either fellas, it is a debate about todays only goal scorer after all. Costas was right in saying the stick he got from ABU’s has got certain supporters backs up, but its a bit more more than that tbh.

    @Denton
Thats a good point about Drogba. Bebe is only 22 and thats the age Ian Wright went professional.

  161. CedarsDevil says:

    Zibbie

You mad nutter, just seriously pissed my self….. ha ha ha ha ha

What on earth did you offer to do to him?

  162. United Till I Die says:

Also – im in agreement that he was rusty as hell before he scored, I said that earlier but it might have been lost in all the schadenfraude Lol.

Hopefully nobody is baffled as to why so much is being typed about Bebe – just in case your wondering the lad scored our only fucking goal of the match haha. Surely that warrants discussing him, or should we sweep him under the carpet yet bang on about how shit he is.

This is the nature of debate fellas. It goes both ways.

  166. Mr. Red says:

Hello to everyone in here..been following this blog for sometime now and just had to join sometime or the other.
Thoughts on today game :1) Kagawa is class and cannot wait to see him play along the likes of rooney valencia and co. Definitely the spark we’ve been screaming for so many years now.

    2) Very impressed with Blackett, Amos and most importantly Jesse Lingard..Could be jumping it but I reckon he’s good enough to consistently play in the first team. Forget money grabbing whores such as Sorryson and PIGba.

    3) Midfield obviously needs a lot of tweaking. Scholes isn’t going to play every game this season. Anderson for me is hot and cold. He had an average game imo. Most imp thing for him is to stay fit and lose his weight.

    4) Give Bebe some time.. Lots of posters here too harsh on him. Its not easy to make that step up playing for United instantly. One minute he’s homeless and next he’s at United. Don’t want to draw up any ” With a lot of time He could become Drogbaesque” comparisons, but hopefully he’ll come into his own.

  167. Fred says:

Taking a homeless guy off the streets and putting him in the United team – reminds me of the classic musical “My Fair Lady”, though I suppose this would be “My Fair Bébé” with Sir Alex as ‘Enry ‘Iggins.

  173. Clint-Iamyourpapii says:

    - An extract in a newspaper I found after travelling to the future in my newly purchased DeLorean .

Bebe has exhausted all superlatives during his two years with United, while he matured from an inexperienced, young winger in 2010 into officially the Shittest footballer on the planet in 2012.

On the day he departed for Rangers Newco in a deal potentially worth £7.75 – making him the World’s most cheapest player – his former manager Sir Alex Ferguson said, “Bebe has been a marvellous player for Manchester United. His contribution has been a major factor in the club’s success in that time and his talent, his ability to entertain and his infectious personality have enthralled fans the world over, we are delighted we can now say we have seen the back of him .”

On 31st August, the deal collapsed and Sir Alex Ferguson stepped down Manager of Manchester United, bringing to an his 25 year reign.

  175. Fred says:

    Papii – Great Scott!

  176. CedarsDevil says:

Come ON Molde…………..10 minutes to go, do it Ole style

  177. Costas says:

    @United Till I Die (or Paul Parker? :P )

Nah we didn’t exactly compare him those lads in terms of ability mate. It was mentioned that since Fergie bought Bebe, he knows something we don’t. And that may be true. But when you look at Obertan, Bellion, Liam Miller or Djemba Djemba, it’s obious that Fergie doesn’t always get it right. So there’s no guarantee that Bebe will become United quality down the road.

I don’t really know if Bebe will ever make it at United and I don’t want to make any absolute prediction. He’s still a raw talent (a term that’s been used a lot about him) and lord knows how far that will take him. I respect where he came from. I’d resent the idea that any UNited fan looks down on him for that reason. It’s just that judging by what we’ve seen so far (and one could argue whether it’s premature or not) it’s natural to have doubts about him.

And to be clear. I am not speaking about today. I didn’t see the game but even if I did, I wouldn’t compliment him on the goal or critisize him if he played poorly. These games are practice matches and nothing more. I am glad for him personally and I hope he continues working. Whether it will be enough time will tell. But it won’t stop me, MG or Fred from making the odd crack at the whole situation. :D

  178. Mikekelly12 says:

    Cedars
Zibbie is certainly a unique character. I can only imagine what he said!!

  179. United Till I Die says:

    @Samuel
Alright mate? Agreed about fairytales and not writing this fella off.

Ian Wright did not spend his youth playing for a professional club like most players but his goal record after 7 years at Arsenal is still better than ‘world class’ Wayne Rooney’s record at OT, and thats despite 8 years at our Club and a decade of youth development with Everton. Facts like that make Wright special in my book and he remains the epitome of an underdog Striker. He was in jail when he should have been playing for reserves, but he still has a much better goal record than the much wanked over RVP et al. Wright played the catch up game and he ended up lapping his peers. The man is a Legend imo.

SO if I compared young Bebe to anybody right now it would be a young Ian Wright before he signed for Palace. People forget that Wrighty was completely written off back then, he wasn’t a world class striker when he joined Palace, so if HE could dominate the top tier of England after years of Hackney Marshes football nobody is in a tenable position to write off Bebe imo. End of.

  180. CedarsDevil says:

Well fuck it Molde lost at home…………Still 4 points behind having played a game more

  181. United Till I Die says:

@Costas – of course mate nobody is saying don’t crack a joke about Bebe. Likewise nobody is saying don’t write a post backing Bebe on RoM. This is one of those agree to disagree moments that often occur in those strange things called DEBATES lol. No worries pal!

Although, where you spoke about the likely hood of raw talent alone carrying him through I just left a post to Samuel about the best player to do that imo. People forget Ian Wright was pretty much in the same position as Bebe when he got is first professional contract with Palace. Look at him now he’s EPL Legend, thanks to raw talent and determination to make it. Stranger things have happened Pal!

He can receive the ball when theres no space, he can keep possession, and he can pass. Cannot wait for Cleverley and Anderson to mix it up with Shinji in midfield, those three could keep possession for years imo.

I also thought Hernandez looked bright to be honest. He was never gonna be in form thats what pre-season is for, but at least he wasn’t caught offside a million times. I don’t think his first season was a fluke, I think he burned out after all those games for Club and Country, and with Welbeck stepping up its been difficult to get the games he needs. Fair enough last season wasn’t his best but he still scored 12. Who said he was the finished article he’s just turned 24? This is an important season for him, and he’s got the class and mental strength to deliver imo.

As for Tony Valencia, he seems to get better each season. Cannot believe how much stick he got when we signed him lol. Even on here he was called shit, out of his league etc. TBH he’s been far more consistent than Nani during the same time. Fair enough he had more more first team experience at Wigan and he’s older, but nevertheless he’s been our most reliable RW. His first season partnership with Rooney was pure class, and now he’s carrying the number 7 on his broad shoulders I can only expect another step up in his performance.

I’m a definite Bebe fan. I totally see the potential in him for greatness. It’s the directness in everything he does, he doesn’t embellish his game with any bullshit trickery or technique. When he finds himself in the right positions it’s like he does it from instinct, not as something he’s been taught. When he hits those low crosses from wide and deep (and it reminds me a lot of the pingers Kanchelskis used to whack from the byline back in the day), all it will take is Little Pea or Welbs or Wazza to start to read them and it’ll be undefendable. A few will go astray, but they’ll all be dangerous, particularly on the counter when defenders are liable to be facing their own goal.

He’s an interesting type of player to have on board and gives us that unpredictability which at times last season we just didn’t have enough of. It may be some years before he becomes the finished article but I still think he can make a positive contribution to the squad in the meantime.

daemondada – in all seriousness, great comment. It got better with each read! Only joking, it was good and I mean that sincerely. Nice sentiment. :)

  197. Fred says:

UTID – Agreed, Kagawa’s performance was the best thing about today’s game. Bébé managing to score into an open goal was a close second. :P

    Pressed submit to early :-)

Mate I am genuinely shocked people talk about Bebe being class and the potential. I dont lie when i say i have never seen a worse player in the first team.

  205. United Till I Die says:

@kc – thing is fella, why is so much expected from Bebe?

Rooney, Berbatov, Hernandez, Welbeck (in order of seniority and salary)

THESE are the Strikers who will help us retain our title NOT Bebe, and if we lack the fire power to out score other teams this season THESE are the Strikers we should look at.

If anything Bebe is in the same bracket as teenage reserve players who won’t play in the first team this season. Thats should be obvious for anybody with a brain.

The fans who defend Bebe from his over the top critics are not the ones who are deluded. The fans who speak about Bebe in the same breath as our upcoming campaign, they are the deluded ones.

What has Bebe got to do with our first team, or our activity in the transfer window? I doubt he’ll even make the Squad for this season, so I don’t understand why people are so negative about this guy?

If he’s that shit Alex will sell him init?

More to the point this is a bit of escapism in pre-season for fuck sake – NOBODY expects Bebe to do anything for the first team this season. Its funny people are saying posters like me should calm down about Bebe.

I think his critics should calm down, he’s only a fucking reserve player.

  206. JC says:

United til I die – you didn’t seriously list Berbatov as the 2nd most important stirker that will hel pus regain (not retain btw) our title… absolutely no offense to Berb intended at all but the only way he’s still on the team come Everton is if no one offers a cup of tea and day old sandwich in the next month. Sir Alex sees absolutely no value in retaining him in our roster and obviously hasn’t for the past year and a half. Also obviously Bebe isn’t going to be a striker/winger to count on likely anytime soon but I and probably many others just would love seeing the egg on the face of the press and doubters if somehow he did come good. Not only that but what a story it would make.

  207. United Till I Die says:

@JC – just noticed the typo. I think “retain” instead of “regain” was a Freudian slip. I stand by what I said about Berbatov as well, it was only season before last he was scoring hat-tricks against Liverpool and parading the EPL trophy as top goal scorer. I rate Danny and Chico highly but talent-wise Berbatov is still the second best striker we have imo, even if those two have edged ahead of him in the roster. But thats besides the point I was making – im saying our main strikers should be at the forefront of everyone’s mind this season and they should have all the expectancy dropped on their shoulders, not a reserve player like Bebe, even though his success would make a great story as you said.

  208. JC says:

I don’t have a problem with your evaluation of Berba as a player, i just don’t see any way back for him to any type of regular role with the team unless we have a massive injury crisis in the forward line in preseason (touch wood). Unfortunately for him Sir Alex has made it pretty clear though his selections that The Berb never even crosses his mind when thinking of our top 3 choices at striker.
