Your right about Fletch he had a torrid time, and he has just come into his own at ?25 yrs old. Nani is 22yrs old, and some players like Rooney, Ronnie develop more quickly. Not all players develop at the same speed. Also I watch our reserves every game too, and Tosic does not do too good even for the reserves. That doesn’t mean the lad is not going to make it though! I believe in our players, that I see have potential but are perhaps late developers.

Nani has lots of ability,talent and potential. He does not have consistency, assiduity or efficacity. No end product in other words and you never know which Nani is going to show up – The goal scoring wonder kid or the over priced mistake.
Saha didn’t actually take abuse as far as I remember.It’s just that he had a lot of injury problems.Otherwise he woulda been one of the world’s best strikers.

So he is not left footed, and that is what slows him down, that he has to keep pulling the ball back onto his right foot to cross. The season he got all the assists – he was playing on the right (1st season with us.)
Rooney had no cause to be fucked off with Nani or anybody today – because Rooney couldn’t pass the ball and find a player in our team with it. All his passes short or too long. So his contribution was just as bad as anybody he wanted to shout at. Just glad Rooney is not Captain of United like he wants to be, because players around him need encouragement and not a bollocking every time Rooney has a poor game.

I missed alot of the first half unfortunately and saw some mixed things but plenty of possession, some decent moves by Nani but no killer ending
2nd half, started watching and he had a bad 10 minutes and Giggs came on…
what happens next? 2 minutes the lad’s on the pitch and he does something Nani never does, the simple stuff which makes the difference. Finds space, uses it intelligently and we are 1-0 up.

It was all over the media, and Nani was interviewed during the run up to the internationals whilst in Portugal, and they asked about Barca wanting to sign him, and Nani said on live tv that he knew about that, but would stay at United for time being. Barca NEVER denied wanting to sign him, and neither did the Spanish media – which there is always a quick denial if something is not true. Nani would not confirm on TV if it wasn’t true and make an idiot of himself now – would he?

well I was very against Nani last season and so was SAF, he admitted himself that Nani is slower to Mature than Ronaldo was. Has he matured yet? not on this evidence, but theres definitely potential it’s just a matter of “will it wont it, or will it too late” when u have others sitting behind him in the likes of Tosic and Oberton who can play either side.

When I saw Berba’s celebration I knew everyone would jump on Nani’s back. He needs games for it all to begin to click. Ronaldo needed games for it all begin to tick. He needs a consecutive run of games but he has to earn it. He seems to think to much on the ball rather then just play. He could and proabably should have made better decisions on the ball but comparing him to Giggs or Ronaldo is crazy. He isn’t them and he might not reach those same heights but he isn’t crap. He could become a great but it takes time. He is still young and the jury is still out. Giggs came on and was fantastic. If he had played poorly Nani would not have looked so bad. We have some talented young players that can play on the left so he needs to pick it up soon or he will surely find the door in favor of giving the youth a chance.
JD you summed it up well and agree with a lot of your final points. But I do think it is unfair to compare him to Giggs. Giggs is a legend. If Nani is able to have 3/4 of his career he could be good for United. He does need to start showing the goods as you pointed out though.
Giggs is in top form and so did Fletcher but their form will slow down when injuries happen and MU needed someone to replace them. As for players who should rightfully retire Scholes and Gary have got no impact or sting anymore.Replacement for them are already available with players like Hargreves,Johnny Evans,Rafeal and Fabio and MU dont need the service of John Oshea also because he is the worst player MU ever had and should be shown the exit door.Why did Fergi sold off Gerard Pique instead of Oshea and that is the worst mistakes he did during his career at OT.Its Fergi stupidity and Barse gain as what they said…….. So he has 18 years experience on Nani and of playing with the very top players.
