The cross from Guardado was perfect – a left-footed version of Antonio Valencia’s trademark: low and hard. Give Chicharito service like that and he’ll light-the-lamp.

To be fair, Nigel DeJong was excellent in his shielding-role today. HIs forward passing was very good, too. AND I say that through gritted teeth since he plays his club football for the wrong team in M/C.

I think he’s a year younger, turning 23 in March, 2013. But, no matter how old he is, he’s more-than-good-enough. Getting him is going to be brilliant in terms of changing the team’s mojo – much faster, interchanging play, like the days of yore when TheGingerNinja was in his pomp and before SirDavey’s head was completely gone.
