Lovely clean finish, perfect angle, no scuffing, sublime placement, unstoppable. Three points, happy weekend.

  9. Zibbie says:

    4-3

  10. jim says:

Vidic was immense, wasn’t he? Made our fragile defence look good, anyway today our shape off the ball was very compact and solid.

  18. Costas says:

Serves the Chelsea fans right for outting up a pro Terry banner…

To be honest, you have to admire how Arsenal have responded to their 8-2 thrashing. Hopefully we will do the same over the next couple of months.

  19. WillieRedNut says:

  27. WillieRedNut says:

This premier league is the most bemusing I’ve ever known. What other season would get Arsenal conceding 8 goals. United shipping 6 at home. Chelsea letting in 5 at home? Fucking crazy!

    Viva JT!!!!

  28. Eric Cantona Told Me To Tweet says:

So we’re arsenal is our bff now lol

  29. aimanunited says:

van persie is quality though, sweet left foot, arsenal are nothing without him…

  30. Fred says:

I agree, crazy fuckking season/ WTF is going on? 8O

Embarrassing to see the Arsenal players jumping up and down in a huddle, singing and dancing as if they’d just won a trophy.

    Delighted with our result. 8)

  31. dannysoya says:

Robin Van Persie is a super super player. Shocking stuff at the bridge today. That guy deserves at least 230,000 pounds a week. what a performance. Even Ramsey played excellent.

  32. Zibbie says:

Spot on Wolfie, what a league!!!
A tough place for Man Utd the last 4 years, Lil Pea a moment of brilliance, Man Utd’s captain has returned. 3 points.

  33. Costas says:

Well football has changed to a degree. You find ridiculous results on a more regular basis and it’s clearly obvious that teams play a lot more open now.

Don’t know how long Boas has at Chelsea I have to say,

  34. Zibbie says:

A clean sheet and a dirty win!!! Things champions are made of!

  35. AlphaRS says:

    @dannysoya

RVP is top top top class. Had an amazing game today.
A player like him deserves to be in a team that is going places and winning things.
I bet he’ll be off to Citeh for the cash though…!

  36. Zibbie says:

Roman is his own worse enemy.

  37. aenemy7 says:

Now that’s the turning point for arsenal, the LONDON BATTLE!!!great match…, our defeat to city is surely the turning point for us to win our 20th……3 points check! Terry ohhh Terry……

  38. Zibbie says:

When RVP plays he is a great striker. His stats are awesome.

  39. Ash says:

Great result for us.Any other team would have dropped points after a defeat like that in previous week. Keep it up guys.My MOTM is Vidic. He is back.
Also happy that de gea got a clean sheet atlast.
This is why premiership is miles ahead of other leagues. Well done arsenal.
I still believe tittle can be won by any of top 7 teams provided they show consistency
    VIVA HERNANDEZ.

  40. Costas says:

RVP would have left for Spain a long time ago if he wasn’t injury prone. Lets hope he stays fit until they play Shity!

  41. Zibbie says:

Thanks to every one here on RoM, for my mother was truly touched by all your happy birthday wishes.
Thank to all of you. I mentioned all your names and were you were from and she was blown away.
@Willie a special shout out to Ireland.
    @Cedars from the holy land.
For an Old Irish 1st generation depression ear great old broad she got a kick out of you 2!!!

  42. parryheid says:

That’s now three of the top four teams had a right towsing this early in the season where does it end.

  43. Zibbie says:

Parry it doesn’t. Man Utd to thrash Shity at their place, 4-1 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  44. Rotegzy says:

So glad for gunners. Good to see them rump over those arrogant and rude bridge boys. Thanks to us too for beating them 8-2,that was the inspiration for there revival so far.

  45. the gringo loco says:

    THAT’S WHAT I CALL 3 CHICHAPOINTS

  46. Costas says:

If things go in circles, Chelsea have to thrash City now. ;)

  47. seanmthered says:

No superlatives can descrive how good Van persie’s been this season to be playing as well as he has been in that team is sensational massive massive credit to him hopefully he doesn’t sign a new contract and fergie can tempt him to join us, a boy can dream . COME ON UNITED, on a relevant note i’m in love with that little pea more then I am with my own girlfriend. 19

  48. Paul Parker says:

I’ll take back-to-back 1-0′s from now till May. Good link up play with Cleverly and Welbeck, top cross from Evra, and that boy Hernandez is looking as sharp as he was last season.

Solid result at a difficult ground. Very happy to put a line under the OTT headlines.

Side note: shouldn’t the Rent Boys losing 5-3 at home be seen as an embarrassment? It was a “huge derby” after all, and all 11 players stayed on the pitch throughout. Something tells me this won’t be described as a battering, but Chelsea were well beaten today at their own ground. When did they last concede 5 at the Bridge? Thats the FIRST time isn’t it? Lets see if they get the same media reporting.

Had to laugh at Neville on Sky, he was spot on about Terry. That cunt dived when he saw he couldn’t catch Van Persie. Watching it, I didn’t think it was a slip at all, it was just a lack of heart to stay on his feet and take the criticism of losing his man. What a piece of shit.

  49. WillieRedNut says:

    No problem Zibbie! :)

  50. WillieRedNut says:

In terms of us, we can’t have any complaints? If we don’t win here today, this blog would be swamped with moaning fans. It’s a great 3 points imo.

  51. Fred says:

I agree with Paul Parker. I’d happily watch us grind out dull, unconvincing wins for the rest of the season if it resulted in us winning the league (kind of like 08/09.) Anyone who would rather see us play exciting football but concede the title to City must be fucked in the head.

    Catenaccio FTW. 8)

  52. Fred says:

Smalling is out for a month, says the gaffer. :(

  53. Zibbie says:

I know Willie fucking swamped, human fucking nature to like carnage and spew hateful shit.

  54. Costas says:

Won’t mind 28 1-0 wins from now on. Defence wins you titles.

  55. Fred says:

    Spot on.

  56. Fred says:

I wouldn’t have minded us going “Fort Knox” on Barcelona in May either and I’m sure Sir Alex wouldn’t have minded a third European Cup. Ah well, que sera sera!

  57. Costas says:

    @Fred

At least we get respect for playing open, even if we get our asses handed to us mate. Guardiola applauded our approach at Wembley, as did Mancini last week. That’s nice and good, but where does it get you.

I have a feeling that Fergie had the right ideas on paper in Rome, but he was one Darren Fletcher short of stifling Barcelona and probably beating them. But last May it was clearly a different approach.

  58. Fred says:

Yeah. Perhaps he should have played Park in the Fletcher role and a front three of Ronaldo, Tevez and Rooney. Just a thought.

  59. FletchTHEMAN says:

Great win. Everton always seems to play us very close. Again Rooney couldnt score. How many trips to Goodison is that? A thing about Everton eh?

I said yesterday, this game was about getting a clean sheet. That done, a goal was always able to win it. All credit to the defense today. Really pleased for Evra, that cross was a point perfect as you could ask. Chicharito to score it, the man is a SteelyEyedGoalScoring machine!

  60. berbatunday says:

that is a clean sheet with evans and evra on the pitch ;)

  61. Lovin' United says:

what’s the Mata CH3L5EA you look TerryFived ?

  62. soren says:

    My latin boy :)

  63. Fred says:

    Mi chico latino!

  64. denton davey says:

aimanunited @ 14:40: “van persie is quality though, sweet left foot”

DamnRight ! That shot for his third goal was absolutely fantastic – the swerve completely fooled Petr Cech, who ended up grasping at air.

  65. soren says:

Fred ha ha…. Greetings Saludos :) Mi amigo Ingles

  66. izzy says:

Thank god there’s no sight of Carrick!

  67. Paul Parker says:

@ Fred, Costas – yep, and Owen Goal can return to win the golden boot for all I care.

  68. Licci says:

    Chicharito <3

  69. bobkoh says:

Fletcher was a terror in front of the back 4!

  70. g-man says:

    i cant see the video

  71. theredderdevil says:

Am really pissed by the blind loyalty exhibited by some fans,
damn! They’d still be singing silvestre’s praises if he was still
around. My point is this is the second season running with poor
performances from Evans, sometimes it pays to be not so
hopefull that you’ll turn a corner and see the light at the end of
the tunnel, what if all u get is a wall at the end of the tunnel?
Remember fergie almost costing us the league trying to be
hoefull about Ben foster. With Evans in the side the opposition
are already guaranteed a goal, they only need to turn up in
the box to claim it.I say Evans is a lost cause, Fergie cut him
out before he causes a disaster. Oh, and while at it you could
give a similar thought to Gibson too.
