    gibo doin really well btw

  2. oshea22 says:

similar to solskjaers last man foul… but was it intentional or did he slip?
anyways mick mccarthy is a wanka!!!

  3. KJ says:

Yeah it’s exactly what I said, at first it looked like he slipped, but in the replay its obvious he was trying trip with his hands. He’s got a lot to learn. But how about that King?

  4. Dec the red says:

haha hilarious great tackle by the lad. Welbeck looking good!

  5. Drew Vader says:

I think the other lads were telling him ‘Well done” I mean, he stopped a clear one on one, which we all know is not PIGs strong suit… It was a smart professional foul.

And it sucks that Kiko got taken off. But wow, Kiko and Danny better start working hard or else that Josh King will be in there as the new young starlet to get excited about.

  6. RJ says:

Good old Nev giving him a a reassuring word.

  7. the scottish wonder says:

The defense was very good today, I like DeLaet.. but how about this Gary Neville he was awesome

Its a shame Macheda only played 30 minutes only getting a few touches, but Welbeck played well

Nani was playing great except HE CANT PASS THE BALL… if he fixes that
he´ll be one of the greates

Overall im very happy with the victory, well done lads

  8. skit160 says:

why doesnt de laet get more games? he looks very good

as for the red card – fully deserved but he prevented a definite goal.

  9. indirocka says:

spot on vader, it was because of his sending off we managed to get a clean sheet otherwise that was almost a 90% chance at goal..
with that being said, he’s got lots more to learn but he’s definitely looking sharp and gifted with loads of technical ability. The way it looks and the confidence SAF puts in them(twins), they’re surely long term replacements as full backs on both flanks.

  10. denton davey says:

The red card was a direct result of Brown and Evans getting tangled in midfield – Fabio did what he had to do, and he did it well. He saved a goal.

Other than that mix-up – and one other “oopsie” – I thought Wesley Brown was just terrific. RedNev did a fine job, too. Same goes for Darren Gibson.

On the down side, Carrick was wimpy and Nani could not seem to get himself untracked – he’s dangerous but he’s got to deliver and tonight he didn’t.

    Overall, job done.

  11. jrmill12 says:

Did anyone else notice how fast Fabio got back to foul him? I think he could have easily steered the Wolves player off the ball at that pace without fouling him. Great game though, nice to see all the youngsters developing well.

  12. hurr says:

lol Fabio, you’re supposed to tackle with your feet!

  13. hurr says:

lol Fabio, you’re supposed to do them with your feet!

  14. Kevin says:

Definitely a red card but he wouldn’t have fouled had he not slipped. Seems like he fell, knew the player would be one on one with the keeper and took him out. I think it shows a level of professionalism from a young player and in a way he could have won the game with that foul. Just keep your feet next time and you’ll be fine Fabio!

  15. Tufty says:

    spot on assessment Denton Dave

  16. kel says:

Fabio is really quick. He could tackle him if he had not slip. He was unlucky to slip.

  17. vishnu says:

i wonder what ReNev said to Fabio as he was walking off the ground,
“thanks Fab, keep ur head up, don’t worry, we’ll be okay…”
    btw Ritchie was awesome….

  18. Jassim Al-Thani - Qatar says:

John Terry made the same sort of tackle against Man City at Wastelands and got his red card only for the FA to later reinscind it !!

Im not sure our fabio will get the same

  19. KJ says:

    Jassim,

Probably not, Terry’s tackle was on the half-way line.. and well.. Terry is Terry, FA apparently cant touch him

  20. Jack says:

the lad didnt have much choice, he slipped so couldnt do nothing but bring him down, if he didnt slip i reckon he would of won the ball back for us.
our defence impressed me most tonight…brown and neville were quality and da laet i want to see alot in our prem games, i reckon his good enough.

  21. jandsdad says:

    @ vishnu

the neviller told him to get off the pitch a bit quicker lol

  22. fUnKy AlLiGuNkY says:

Fabio could play the next match as Rafael…lol

  23. hurr says:

    @KJ

Chelsea seemed to be able to get away with almost anything. Even if the players were banned, they’ll get ‘em reduced to probably half the original punishment.

  24. manutd4eve says:

well done fabio. clean sheet tributed to fabio by our ten men team. even with ten men we looked sharp in every position also not to forget 8 of them r youn and our future. all goes to our legend ole solsy.

  25. Infectioner says:

Fabio’s change of pace is unbelievable. i reckon he would took the ball away from the player if he did not slipped

  26. sir82 says:

    Well done Fabs. Love it:-)

  27. Elisha says:

    Better than Terry’s rugby tackle.

  28. kaihnsn says:

better get a red card than concede a goal. i dont know united can recover or not if wolves score from that attack. that game united created only a few clear chance.

  29. Z says:

That’s exactly what Rio should have done against Bellamy on Sunday. Especially with a Carling Cup match coming up.

  30. Keep up the good work Scott says:

    @fUnKy AlLiGuNkY: lol
both rafael and fabio give their all for the team. rafael urged the team to get back quicker after scoring a stunning debut goal. and fabio now gets himself sent off to stop them from scoring. similar to ole’s “i had to do it”.
    great attitude.
read their interview on manutd.com where they said they always used to be Manchester United when they play football on thier computers.
    legends in the making!

  31. CROoney says:

the scottish wonder – the defense was good ????

what game were you watching ? if I’m right , first brown fucked up for that fabio red , then fabio after him ( brown had failed with his clearence before fabio took the man down ), and then after the goal gary neville missed the entire boal allowing player to miss 1 on 1 with kuzsczack- it was however a difficult ball but nevertheless, it was faaaaar from immpresive defending

  32. CROoney says:

btw – fabio’s act was stupid – against any other stronger team that would mean we’ve settled with a draw at best – it’s better trailing 1-0 then playing the entire match with a man down

  33. Always Be Closing says:

But obviously not since we won?

  34. ji says:

    @Always Be Closing

And better that it happened against wolves and not some better team. Just because you win it doesn’t mean all was perfect.

    @Drew Vader
“I think the other lads were telling him ‘Well done” I mean, he stopped a clear one on one, which we all know is not PIGs strong suit… It was a smart professional foul.”

I think some how huge xenophobia issue. On Sunday Foster fucked up big time twice and everyone were “oh, he is young he is learning, he needs games”. Last night there was not even 1 on 1 situation and judgment is placed on Thomas that for 90% he would let the goal in…

And actually he letter on saved 1 on 1. He managed to keep clean score for us despite we were one man down for 60 minutes and he didn’t tried to out dribble opposing strikers which in other goalies occasion ended with total fuck up.

If that foul was professional I don’t want to know what other things you describe as professional.

By not being xenophobic your team will be better, and all using nickname PIG maybe considered as xenophobic.

  35. theboogeyman says:

How the fuck is PIG xenophobic?Because it refers to his nationality??

  36. ji says:

Xenophobia – The term is typically used to describe a fear or dislike of foreigners or of people significantly different from oneself, usually in the context of visibly differentiated minorities.

Sorry mate but PIG brings clear connection with pig, and most people talking disrespectfully about him and using PIG I doubt that they just mean a shortcut for Pole in Goal. he didn’t even made intervention and the comment is already negative.

It’s like trying to say that when people say about someone Pussy then only want to say about him nice kitten.

  37. CROoney says:

Always Be Closing – yeah obviously it’s better for foster to keep making those blunders since we won that one too ?

  38. CROoney says:

tbh i didn’t even know what PIG means – i use it only because i find it annoying to spell his name

  39. King Eric says:

Ji – No offence pal but you are talking shit about fans being “xenophobic”. Pathetic.

  40. ji says:

maybe i am misjudging. but still I wouldn’t find it pathetic.

In my opinion PIG is offensive, especially connected to post where Thomas is not even making any intervention and comment is how bad he is, or 90% of 1 on 1 he fucks up.

Yeah probably many are using PIG cause it is easier to write it than Kuszczak, but don’t tell me that some of the posts naming Thomas PIG are not from haters that are using PIG with premeditation.

Maybe it sounded that i was generalizing, and sorry for that.

  41. CROoney says:

what does PIG mean ? i mean in abusive way

  42. ji says:

I read it as pig. This pig in goal.

What did you think that it means when writing PIG and not knowing what it means.

I think in big part King Eric is right and i ma exaggerating. Still in many posts it looks hella offensive like many would not like to say Pole in Goal but just pig.

  43. King Eric says:

Ji – Fair point mate and I didn’t mean you were pathetic just the notion that fans were being Xenophobic. I think it is just easier to abbreviate as people, myself included can’t spell Kuskak.

  44. theboogeyman says:

lol I don’t think anyone says PIG to say that TK is a pig. It’s just a funny, easy to spell, abbreviation.Don’t worry about it mate,we have a team full of foreigners,we’re not against any of them.

Only we should never sign any fucking Argies again. :)

  45. ji says:

    Point taken :)

  46. Ubibi Godwin Jr says:

Fabio paid the price,it would have been a goal had he not get the man down, had he not slipped though,he could have got a nice tackle,it was similar to ole red against Newcastle some years back,i was really impressed with Joshua king and de leat .Fabo did the right thing.

  47. dombles says:

Sorry, call me old fashioned but I dont get how that can be professional. Utd are the greatest team for their playing and I may be naive in saying this but fouls arent part of the game… A misstimed tackle perhaps is part of the game, but that was cheating. We might not have won that without the foul and I know the cost of being sent off is a strategic consideration, but I dont see that as justification.

Citeh might think that way, I dont think we should.

  48. Z says:

@ dombles – So you would object if, say, Vidic or Ferdinand hung out a leg or tugged on a shirt to stop a potential break (but not in an obvious goal-scoring situation)?

  49. CROoney says:

ji – i know that pig means pig lol

i only thought it has more repuslive meaning since you opened up a debate about it

  50. onemanunited.wordpress.com says:

Why is the card round? Are not the cards suppose to have 4 corners?

  51. reDalerT says:

oh, i don’t know, maybe the ref’s feeling a little xenophobic? xD
