VIDEO: Fergie, Fergie, Sign Him Up!

szólj hozzá: E1-0M

With about half an hour left to go in last night’s game against Stoke, a roar came from the Stretford End, followed by a loud chorus of “the city is yours, the city is yours, 20,000 empty seats, are you fucking sure?”

It was clear that Everton had taken the lead. When moments later a chant of “one Darron Gibson, there’s only one Darron Gibson” started up, followed by “Fergie, Fergie, sign him up!”

United are now on level points with City at the top of the table thanks to Darron Gibson’s winner against them last night. He joined Everton a fortnight ago after almost seven years with United.

Well done Gibbo!

It matters when we’re playing them in the league. Obvious!

  2. WillieRedNut says:

Lindeguardian out for 4 weeks? I think DDG will be fit anyway.

  3. WillieRedNut says:

Wes Brown out for 8 weeks. Our curse has struck big bad down too!

  4. Saad says:

Berbatov absolutely has to start against Chelsea ahead of either Danny or Chicharito. Berba has more experience and has a good record against them since his Spurs days.

  5. WillieRedNut says:

Can’t see Berba starting this one. If Rooney is fit, it will be him and Danny.

  6. King Eric says:

Willie. Absolutely agree. The rent boys don’t park the bus which is where the Berb is more effective. They are all over the shop at the back and Rooney and Dannys pace and movement will cause havoc. They have gaping holes in defence and these two can run riot. Fergie said last night he thinks rooney, young and Jones will all be available. Let’s hope so.

  7. WillieRedNut says:

King Eric – That’s my thinking too. Pace and movement will be too much for Chelsea. If Rooney isn’t fit, I’ve no qualms on Berba starting the game. I think he’ll make it, though.

  8. Sparkz says:

Yepp, I have to say I do quite fancy the prospect of Welbeck having a go at Terry and Luiz. I didn’t realise Ramires was out as well tbh, that’s a big blow for them, I aint complaining!

We did have a bad record at Stamford Bridge, but I’m hoping the Champions League win last season was the start of a decent run there. Can’t lie, I’d take a draw, even if City were to win their game on Saturday. Them slipping up to Everton was a bonus if you know what I mean….so in a way there’s not as much pressure on us to get the 3 points.

Saying that….the way Chelsea are playing, I personally think they’re ripe for the taking. Valencia in the form of his life, Giggs, Rooney and Welbeck rested up….if we have our heads screwed on we should do well.

  9. wayne says:

AVB talks alot of bollocks,he’s a good bullshitter gets all cerebral and philosophical about what he’s trying to achieve then one watches the rentboys and wonder what the fuck is he on about
Don’t know if Roman will give him the time to complete his “vision” but think he has to turf all the old boys to have any chance because right now Rentboys don’t look to good

Thoughts with Egypt. Terrible, terrible news.

  11. dela says:

    Morning RoM.

The Egypt episode has ruined my day. I was there less than a year ago and am still finding it hard to believe that the delightfully peaceful country I visited has now turned into a battleground.

Anyway, back to football, is it just me or does Pogba look the real deal?

  12. Jeet says:

@Dela: I missed the match and saw the Pogba video posted by Sandeep. Looks like a right player to me. Positional sense, tough, passing, crossing, has it all. Can shoot too, from academy reports. Fast too, but glides rather than bust a gut. Very excited. Him and Tom with Carrick for experience should do the job for the next few years. Not saying we couldnt do without another midfield player, but over the medium term, it’s probably not half as bad as many, including myself thought.

  13. dela says:

I think our midfield is better than most people make it out to be. I was one of the founding members of the Wee Wes Clique (TM) last summer, so I’m hardly one to talk.

  14. Jeet says:

@Dela: The biggest problem I see with buying quality midfielders who would create a “triffic” impact, is that I can’t think of any that will fit into a 4-4-2 AND is available. All the fashionable names being bandied about like Hazard, Ericksson, Gaitan, Ozil, blah blah are gonna be misfits in a 4-4-2. Many are overrated. Modric maybe, but hardly available. Dream would be Bastian The Beast, but that one’s never gonna happen. Personally, I think that we should ditch 4-4-2 and move to a modern 4 band system, but that’s just me, and I don’t see that happening.

Good morning Red Devils around the world,

    @ Dazbomber, LoneStarRed, Jeet

    Cheers pals.

    Hello pal,

Yup i have to accept that its blown out of proportion sometimes..why? because we dont have a multi million pound player there..

  16. 68Devils says:

Was actually hoping to see a midfield trio of ravel, pogba and cleverly. With ravel hammered and every possibility cleverly doing a wilshere and the fact that pogba is yet to commit his future with united i for one will remain careful not to get my expectations too high. Don’t want to be negative but stoke was awful. The real test will be chelsea and spurs away. 4 pts from this and i will be grateful.

  17. Costas says:

Counter attacks will win us the game this weekend, so for me it has to be Rooney and Hernandez or Rooney and Welbeck.

    Scott the Red

Thank you for spending your valuable time sifting through the last dozen threads on RoM and deleting many comments that were either falsely submitted in my name, or against my name. It must have taken ages to perform that tedious and fruitless task. Your repeated attention to my dilemma is recognised, appreciated and remembered henceforth.

I am mortified that your attendance has become necessary.

Should you wish any change in my approach, intent or manner; please be free to advise me by comment or email. Your masterpiece has become a second home to me, and to many.

When in RoM, do as the RoMmers should!

  19. smartalex says:

Good day sir! How are you?

My friend, thank you for your close attendance and depth of friendship.
Your active support brought results that I needed, and couldn’t attain alone.
    Thank you!

  20. dela says:

I thought we had done away with the 4-4-2 for good the season before last, when we started all big games with Wazza upfront all by himself. The emergence of Hernandez and Welbeck seems to have changed all that.

Modric would be brilliant but the prices being quoted are just absurd. I don’t think anyone is worth that sort of money.

  21. CedarsDevil says:

I actually posted something relevant to this on the new thread. Always a pleasure my friend, as I said before I know what you are all about and will always fight your corner. Well done to STR!
