All 3 of them chose the PS3 lol, RTNK will be happy.

  2. mikekelly12 says:

Brilliant!!! These three lads are PROPER United players! OK, they’ve all been knocked at times in their careers and you wouldn’t class them as “Galacticos” but I wouldn’t swap this type of player for the world. No amount of money would take them off to a “Project”!! And the fact the bitters DONT have players like this is why they will remain classless and trophless for time to come!

Particularly like their sincerity on the Liverpool or City question….they didn’t even entertain the idea! Class!

  3. Fze123 says:

Saw this a while a go, funny as hell. Loved the ‘neither, neither, neither’ when asked to choose between Liverpool and Man city. I miss Sheasy!

  4. Costas says:

This was brilliant. Thanks Scott. Jennifer Aniston all the way though…

  5. hesselbom says:

  13. Costas says:

In a way, guys like these 3 are the heart of Man United. And very decent lads as well.

noone ive asked said pele , he does be up there but never number 1

  17. HARGREAVES' CURLY HAIR says:

Lol,brilliant and yeah why would they consider between the bitters and the dippers.
hey guys does anyone know how the new 2010-11 home kit looks like or the away one,i’m really interested and excited to see how it looks like. geez some people are deluded i mean talk about hodgson talking about the “biggest job in club football” and as he said that i’m not surprised he’s in deluded DIPPERVILLE and he is a dipper now so either way it was expected of him to say something DELUDED!
On the topic of new signings i’m glad fergie scooped up chicharito, the lad looks quality, and heard a rumour about coentrao heading to manchester don’t know how much truth is in that rumour.anyway looking forward to this coming season and as today is the 1st of July i’d like to welcome Smalling and Chicharito to THE GREATEST CLUB IN THE WORLD!:-)

  18. Red phil says:

My mate is the interviewer. He said they were propper top lads, even though he is a villa fan.

  19. BenUtd says:

These three are the type of players every club wishes they had. Genuine people, love their club and always gives their all on the pitch.

  20. Drew Vader says:

I like how Fletch said colleen leaves out Wayne’s clothes for him in the morning

  21. arijc says:

Its difficult to compare Pele and Maradona, especially if you weren’t old enough to watch Pele play. Maradona, being more recent, would have made a lot more impact on the current generation of footballers.

  22. Bashy says:

    Liverpool or Man city….? Neither…LOVE da boys..LOL

  23. aig alex is god says:

Maradona> Pele. Totally agree with them.As the world cup goes on i have started El Diego even more

  24. Costas says:

They forgot to ask the important question: Jenna Jameson or Jesse Jane?

  25. Slim says:

With all the crap around since the season ended, this clip has made up for it. The group looks tight and thats really good to see.

  26. EastStandManc says:

    @Costas

Neither. It’s Sasha Grey every time – it has to be – she’s a self-confessed United fan.

I’d love to take her up the Stretford End *wink wink* *nudge nudge*

  27. Gorse Hill Red says:

Thats made me smile first thing at work! Love the look on their faces when asked Dippers or Bitters, they were appauled at such a question. Like asking someone Hitler or Stalin?

  28. Red Devil says:

@ Costas, Ghtt, King eric, ROM…

    Good morning…hope you’ll are doing good….

Yeah, these lads epitomise what United is all about; which is why we need to keep bringing lads through from the youth academy, who dont give a shit about whether their missus likes the weather or shopping malls or summat….. I’d really like Cleverly to be given a chance this year…he had a tremendous season last year, give him a chance….

  29. bigphil2003 says:

I say Pele top be honest…

  30. 0161-Jon says:

“coleen probably leaves his clothes out in the morning so he knows what to wear”

    love it.

  31. Gotta hate tiny tears says:

    bigphil

care to share why, I’m here to learn. why would pele be higher than say….Giggs in football

Im so interested in why people think this guy is the greatest player. its a fantastic chat

  32. mhihrh says:

Pele was a great player but he was always surrounded by quality players too. The likes of Garrincha, Nilton Santos,Tosato, Jairzinho were in their peak for Brazil

Maradona on the other hand was not surrounded by as many quality players. maybe Mario kempes was the only one.He often used to win games on his own for Argentina and did the same for Napoli leading them to the Serie A crown in 1987 and 1990 and Napoli werent a very big club.

Peles goal scoring record is unreal but that was achieved in the Brazilian league and was way back in 1960s and early 70s. In the modern era such a record wont be matched or surpassed

Its a marginal one but El Diego was a bit better, the opinion may vary from person to person. The bottomline is both were great players and the top 2 ever, the rank may vary

  33. mhihrh says:

Pele and Giggs cant be compared. They have played in different eras so it wouldnt be fair comparision. Also Giggs hasnt achieved anything at the international level and understandably so as he played for Wales. Giggs is the ideal role model though both on and off the field and the young lads can learn a lot from him.

The late 50s and early 1960s belonged to Pele
    The 1970s belonged to cruyff
The 1980s were of El Diego
Since then Zizou has been the best imo

  34. arijc says:

    @mhihrh
its an opinion..so by definition its subjective. its always difficult to compare two players from different generations and conclusively state that one was better than the other.
FYI… based on the opinions of people that I have spoken to and who had the opportunity to watch the two in action, there are very few who prefer Maradona over Pele.

  35. mhihrh says:

    @arijc

i know but you can only comment on what you have seen and fletch, o shea and evans wont have seen much of pele apart from the DVDS while they must have seen EL Diego play. Thats why they chose Maradona. Everyone tells me Sir Bobby Charlton, Bobby Robson and George best were great players but i never saw them and hence cant say how great they were. It depends whom you are asking

  36. Gotta hate tiny tears says:

    mhihrh

is it giggs fault that wales arent as strong as brazil or argintina??? by that dumb logic George Best should never be named as a Top Player- how many world cups has Denis Irwin won

  37. Costas says:

I would also choose Maradona over Pele for the reason that he carried most of the teams he was a part of. But in terms of what I’ve seen with my own eyes, it’s Ryan Giggs.

In my opinion, the World Cup get a lot more credit than it should. Pele and Maradona were both very succesful at WC tournaments and that plays a big part in saying that one of the two has to be the best player ever. However, that’s dismissive to the likes of Cruyff, Best or even Giggs. And at the end of the day, comparing players from different eras is always tough.

  38. Fze123 says:

Didn’t the 60s belong to George Best

    A+

  41. Gotta hate tiny tears says:

“The World Cup is all that matters at the moment. When I get back we can think about my future. To the top players the Premier League is attractive. You look at what Manchester United and Chelsea have achieved and it would be easy to be successful at clubs like that. Trophies are what matters. There are two teams in England always at the top. But the same is true for La Liga.”

    -Ozil

  42. mhihrh says:

I never said its Giggs fault, all i said is people will look at both club and international achievements and hence the like of Best and Giggs wont be considered as highly as pele or maradona. i am agreeing thats not a fair criteria.

  43. mhihrh says:

so thats Ozil to Chelsea most likely. They will make atleast two or three major signings having let 3 players go and have an aging squad too.

  44. bigphil2003 says:

@GHTT – To be honest there’s not much between Pele and Maradona in my eyes, but they are very different players and I just happen to prefer Pele’s style. You can see why Rooney is called the White Pele while Messi gets compared to Maradona – Rooney and Pele play more of a thinking man’s game while in my eyes Messi and Maradona rely more on their ridiculous skill. It’s not for me to necessarily say which player is better, I can only say which one I prefer.
Now that you mention it though, Giggsy’s my favourite player ever – and I think he merges the amazing skill with the vision of a genius. There are a few reasons he doesn’t get recognised as one of the all time greats enough, one of which is sadly because he played for Wales, the other is because at United he’s been surrounded by greats his whole career – but none of them (bar maybe Scholesy) have kept the top level performance as consistently as he has over the years.

I’d also say Sir Bobby should be up there as one of the best of all time but maybe that’s just my bias creeping in.
Also my first post should have read “I say Pele to be honest” in response to Pele vs Maradona – instead of “top”

  45. Gotta hate tiny tears says:

    BigPhil

I see what your saying with the Rooney-maradonna pele -messi thing which got my head thinking about Giggs. Everything your saying about what makes the THe argies Fantastic and the thinking mans game that makes the 2 shades of peles so good is like the story of Ryan Giggs football life.

theres always ” the next” gonna happen like Ronaldo was never ronaldo at united he was the next best messi will never just be messi hes the next maradonna but giggs has rightfully been called the closest thing to George Best at united when he was younger and now he’s rightfully been compaired to Sir Robert. Giggs= pele and maradonna

  46. King Eric says:

Morning all. Quality statement from Lahm. He said in Argentina they are playing a “big team” this time!

  47. Red Devil says:

    @ Ghtt

Ryan Giggs and Paul Scholes…..two of the most under-rated guys you’ll ever come across…..as all good things go…they are only truly appreciated once they are not there…..

  48. RedScot says:

Just fabulous fabulous lads, love them smiling and together.
I liked Darrens expression for obvious reasons ,when the lad asked who never buys a drink! fucking priceless.
Just a great wee insight into there togetherness, stars them all.
Some how i dont see Wayne as the biggest poser.

  49. ace red devil says:

    …rodney,hahaha coz I look a bit like him :D

  50. King_Keano says:

its hard to say who was better pele or maradonna because they came from 2 different generations, id love to see both of them in the modern day football for real comparrison! And espically scholes, he is the most under rated footballer just like darren fletcher is they are the heart of MANCHESTER UNITED!

  51. Callum says:

The look on Evans’ face at the Dippers-Bitters question is beautiful
