I think, more like the next Carrick. He reminds me more of him.But he has a better shot than Carrick!

the guy can shoot. we knew it before today's game.
but i don't exactly adore him and don't exactly beleive he will be here in 2-3 years time. but fair play to the guy and good luck.
he would have to do much more to prove his worth at this club.

I have been thinking this season that he was similiar to Scholes as well...and then when he handled the ball today, I knew I was right :)

Also, I agree about De Laet...I thought he was the best player in the first half! He made good tackles, was really involved in the attack going forward, solid defense, and almost scored.

Do u know what summarised gibson and man united for me today??
this comment from BBC LIVE TEXT:
"That's no reserve-team player - if it is, we're all in trouble. Darron Gibson picks the ball up 35 yards out and unleashes a right-foot screamer that flies into the top, far corner. Incredible hit."

Beautiful!

I did a huge rant on anderson on another thread. but you've got to admit, Gibson just looks so much better than Ando. Why arent we playing him instead? Got the defensive and attacking capabilities, unlike Ando who has neither, just a player that looks like he should be good because he's brazilian.

Gibson hasn't proved he is better than Anderson.Anderson has been tested against Fabregas and Gerrard and has done quite well.I do agree that with Scholes-Giggs getting older and Hargo's fitness a mystery,we should play Gibbo more often. And it will happen next season.I like him a lot today.Being a Brazilian doesn't save you when you are mediocre.Ask Kleberson.

Costas - some good points there and I must admit that i wasn't struck on the lad to start with but each game that passes he seems to improve no end and will eventually make a bloody good midfielder.

It is just a shame the same can't be said about Nani.

Notice that Ando hasn't played in 2 weeks. He is saving his energy for Wednesday! He should be able to go for 3 hours of non stop action.

If youre talking about Gibsons amazing shots, try the one he scored at Peterborough in the pre-season

Thanks for the heads up KJ.Great goal.As they said 13 years ago in referrance to Beckham,Gibbo has bullets in his boots.Careful upon watching. The sound is a bit loud.

Better than Ando? We were playing against Hull City! Lets come back to reality here. Am I the only one who saw the amount of free kicks he gave away in dangerous positions - a better team would surely have taken advantage of that. And his long range passing pace is too slow to be compared with Carrick or Scholesy.

I think at the moment he is an ok squad player, but of course he can get better. After Fletcher, I do not give up on any player.

The goal against Peterborough was scored with the left feet, the one against Hull with the right. Very interesting.
But don't overestimate him. I agree with costas, it's only Hull and he had his share of mistakes.

Gibbo is a squad player for next season.there is a lot of arc on his long range passing and not much speed.he will definitely improve.

What a goal. If that was Ronaldo the media would have been raving about it.

Well I dont know which one is the real Hull, this one or the one who lost 4-3 to us? I think this Hull does not have an ounce of premiership material in them. IIt is sad really, to see this huge difference. It's shocking.

Anyway, for any question on why we dont play Gibbo more frequently before this, I'm sure SAF knows the answer. And yes, he did give a away fouls a bit to much in my opinion.
