Chicharito scored his 8th goal in 14 appearances for his national team having just turned 22-years-old this month, and what a time for it to come.
You’ve got to feel for Paddy who captains France but this is a great moment for our young lad.

What have we found here, get in there you beauty, and speaks fluently also.
Calm cool and composure. Style in a Hernandez*
Cantona comes back to haunt his old team
Wait….what ???
Thats Not Cantona
oh my Jasus Diouf And Kiko
WHat has Sir Alex Done here for the future
Gracias Chicarito
See you at Old Trafford!
I feel sympathy for Evra, but because of Domenech’s incompetence I have no sympathy for the rest of the French team.
SAF What Have You Done
The game was crying out for him. Mexico with all their danger were lacking a real finisher, so it was good to bring him on at that point. I went as crazy as he did when he scored. He has announced him self on the big stage!
Evra must have been thinking of Utd when he cried during the national anthems, because he looked like he didn’t give a flying fuck today whether France win or not.
Delighted with that tonight…. Hernandez looking promising!
However Paddy Evra needs to come home and get rested and keep Rio company and look forward to next season…
That France team is in a dark place… with too many arrogant players.. back biting and there seems to be huge unrest…. i feel rly sorry for Patrice as he is Capitano… but he needs to get away from that negativity and come home!
Get your self to the bookies in the morning an stick a punt on Domenech for the Liverpool job
What a great football day this has been! Greece get their first goals/points at a WC, Chicarito officially arrives and Domenech once again is flat on his ass!
I imagine the party going on in Ireland right now.
Viva Chicharito!!! Excellent time to announce himself to the world! Maybe now dumbass Aguirre will have faith in the boy.
Glad to see Paddy will enjoy an early vacation. And after this display I can see why he got emotional before the game.
GHTT lol
Hernandez shows he can do it on the big stage..This isn’t new zealand…This is france!!!!!!
Completely outplayed them! Looks we have a proper finisher! And one more player back for pre-season?
SAF, you little son of a gun, you’ve went and done it again. Viva Chico!!!!
GHTT
Sir Alex has done what nike thought about after
He wrote the future ahead of everyone : )
Happy times – Costas is happy Greece won – he really does owe us all a kebab! We are all happy Hernandez scored
I can’t blame Evra – Domenech had him playing on the wing – what was that about?
Bad day for Park too – hopefully the lads will have another chance – but I just cannot see France doing anything – that was the worst thing to see on a football pitch – team spirit down the pan – no good to see – no matter who you are – Seedorf said it brilliantly – You could be Real Madrid but it means nothing if you don’t have a coach and trust him to do the job.
Common sense at last
whenever mexico play chicharito is a trending topic on twitter. already a star
Pat also speaks much while on duty at United. Actions speak louder than words
it was an impossible offside desicion for the assistant ref,lol… chicarito came in with a hell of a speed, but I think he got it right..
Great finish by Hernandez, he has a lot to do even though he’s one on one with the keeper. Very cool finish. Looks very promising.
I’ve been raving about this kid since he joined in April. So calm infront of goal and scores with both feet and is very good in the air. Can’t wait to see him play with Rooney up top with nani and Valencia on The wings!
It’s actually refeshing to see a player dribble past the keeper and then shoot. Most strikers these days(*cough* Heskey *cough*) tend to shoot it first time.
Just why was the goal that got France through to the WC finals not disallowed. Because Blatter and co wanted us to have the privilege to watch the mighty France, show the world just why they deserve to be in South Africa… Mexico shat all over the frogs today. The Irish would have given us a real football game with real hunger and fight, and would have spared us from seeing this pathetic France side. For Evra’s sake, I hope they lose their next game.
I thought he was offside. Good thing he did not stop and beat the goalkeeper.
I do not know why coach Aguirre does not have complete faith in him. Giovanni dos Santos misses many opportunities and Vela [from Arsenal] is like crystal.
The referee was very strict, too many yellow cards.
St.Peter tells freddy mercury he’s to report to God’s office’
When he enters, God says ah freddy always been a big fan and have decided to give you a crack at a second life on earth.Do you fancy that?
I certainly do said freddy is it possible for me to go back as the England goalie?
Well say’s God that’s a surprise why do you want to be the england goalie?
Because say’s freddy I’ll have ten arseholes in front of me and thirty thousand pricks behind me And I’ll not catch anything.
Oh and our new striker coming along nicely.
parryheid – lol. @ Costas how can you diss heskey? the guys a goal machine lol.
willierednut.
Now thats funny.
I feel like a Bohemian Raphsody
Nite Girls catch you soon.pmsl
Lol, sorry to Emile Heskey. I am sure he will prove me wrong tomorrow.
@RedScot.
Goodnight. Pity those Nigerian lessons were for nothing.
If Cisse can score in greek football, then maybe that where Heskey should go. Fuck that, he’s not good enough lol.
JAVI JAVIER JAVI JAVIER JAVI JAVIER JAVIER HERNANDEZ!
i feel sorry for paddy it was one of his dreams to captain france and these idiots are not able to score atleast one goal,they werent even close
cant wait to see hernandez in the United shirt
http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11667_6211959,00.html
Basically saying how Chiellini has changed his mind and is more open to a move to United
did anyone see the mistake patrice made in letting the mexican player through where abidal tackled and gave away the penalty?
Couldn’t believe that patrice made a howler like that.
Maybe he has played too much for us and needs a rest which he can get when France bow out(fingers crossed) next week.
Im beginning to like this kid, sinking France is one very good way to get in my good books. The humiliation of France is second only to England winning the lot, which is far fetched so Im already happy. For those that wonder Im not Irish with an axe to grind (rightly so), Im English and its my duty to hate the French, I was born to hate the French. Thanks Hernandez, on a line with Rooney and lets see you reclaim our crown from the chavs.
Great finish, good pace, calm in front of goal, looks like a great find but hey our rivals will still tell us that he was only brought to sell shirts!!
@ Costas a drunking Scot typing, but not one bit of malice in my body. or head, I love Manchster united end off.
I am glad you slipped through too the “maybes” but if it were not for the sending off, it was kiss my arse , and goodbye, to you still being in the competition.
I personally dont think you got a hope in hells chance against the Argies on the 22nd, but and the big question is can Greece be more boring?
Any twat that as as a name dilopidos you gotta fear, i guess its all there names OS, like Serbia IC.
Get a life starts with Mac! lol ( Ecosse), non competitors since 1998.
I just feel in all honesty this is the early stages the teams are sounding each other out, its a great competition, no, not great effing brilliant and winding up.
So looking for some physical today Namanja up against kloser and and Swienstiger will be riverting and lets hope no captures, or camps or anything owning the world.
The Scots doooo ahh bastard know that! humour and piss take in a one.
Cmon England , lol you can do it, 3 lions on my chest and only 1 star, Cmon on West ham.
VIVA CHICHARITO ! What would this kid cost today ? He really, really, really reminds me of LittleMikey when he was in his pomp. Great depth/back-up. But I’m still not convinced that two strikers is in SAF’s plans.
The only player I’ve seen that I’d definitely like to see transferred to UTD has been Jeremy Toulalan. He’d be a HUGE improvement to our defensive midfield. And that’s the position that needs immediate attention – too many question marks right now (aside from Darren Fletcherinho (football genius).
D mid is the problem? I think going forward is more of an issue. It’s absurd how long were milking off Scholes and Giggs. Either Anderson steps up and plays like he did his first season or we’ll need another ACM.
Dmid we have hargreaves , Fletch who is amazing, Carrick (eh) and academy boys.
Offside, he wouldn’t get away with it in the Prem.
What does his nickname mean, Chicharito? Doesn’t “chicha” mean “chick” or am I way off?
@Tom
I too think Dmid is a problem. I can see us playing more a 4-3-3 formation. that being a dmid, with fletcher slightly to the right and Scholes/Ando to the left. No ones sure about Hargo and whether hell be able to come back. One thing is for sure, if he does come back it wont be for a typical 60 plus games a season. Carrick is always an option but if this Toure is coming to England I wouldn’t be surprised if we have already struck the deal.
The forwards would obviously be Velencia/Nani to the right Rooney either at Center or occasionally to the left and Hernandez up front. Berba/Owen are always options and Park/Nani on the left too.
All the possitions except dmid we have a world class player.
I celebrated this goal more than I did the England goal last week. Was so pleased to see him score. Was calm, composed, and could’ve so easily buckled under the pressure and spooned that finish.
He’s looked really, really promising so far, hopefully this will do wonders for his confidence and he will keep on improving.
Viva chicharito!
Excellent finish by the young lad,can’t wait to see him in a united shirt!
btw i have a FEELING HE WILL WEAR JERSEY NR.14:-).Scott i’d like to ask why has’nt next season’s kit come out yet but other teams have already released theirs,is it always that UNITED has to be last in releasing the kits? anyway i’d like to know.THE FUTURE IS BRIGHT THE FUTURE IS UNITED,ONWARDS AND UPWARDS! feel real sorry for EVRA,anyways i think gourcuff is overrated i might be wrong same applies for suarez,i mean with all due respect the DUTCH league is piss poor it makes mediocre players look world class with the EXCEPTION OF RUUUD!!!
No 7 is On!!!!
CHICHARITOE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CM1OA0GV5uA
Well taken goal.
Cool in front of goal and nimble footwork.
But there is a huge element of luck there because 9 out of 10 times, his run would have been flagged for offside (either rightly or wrongly, doesn’t matter).
@Gudjohnsen
Chicharito means ‘little pea’. It comes from his father’s nickname Chicharos (pea).
And yeah, chica means girl (no ‘h’ though), so I’m sure people will claim Chicharito means ‘little girl’ or something…
I would like to think that Karma bit France in the arse after what happened in qualifier playoffs with Ireland. I do feel sorry for Evra, but the rest of the french squad can SUCK IT! And really excited about Hernandez, what a prospect we have got.
My world cup analysis so far:-
ENGLAND = a pile of shite, usual turgid, cant string 2 passes together, never really had technically gifted players bar scholsey and gazza in the last 20 years….beckenbaur said its backward football kick and rush and i agree. Worst goalkeeping pool ever, right back who cant defend, centre backs that are slower on the turn than a JCB, no left winger, gerrard lampard???? those 2 for scholesy, what a joke and heskey?????? fuck sake he should have taken up another profession. Saying that they’ll get through the group as its the easiest in living memory. And rooneys a shadow of himself in white
ARGENTINA = defence suspect, maradona what an emotional guy, attacking prowess with 6 strikers of world note is mind blowing
BRAZIL = looked ok..methodical, robinho the best player, kaka a shadow of himself, madrid syndrome. dungas teams practical, not samba beat
URUGUAY = Perez, good team and FORLAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! TOP DOLLAR, if only he and our club had been the right fit
CHILE = Sanchez
NORTH KOREA = Tears in anthem wow, discipline and shape wow, great goal great performance, no matter the bbc mick take on the communist secretive dictatorial backward nation..piss funny mick take though…showing different game, no phones, actors as fans…lol
SOUTH KOREA = PARKY GOOD…STEADY TEAM
USA = solid enough
AUSSIES = Cahill deserved red….too old
GERMANY = not getting carried away, but this young team looked good, esp the immigrant players,,,,,,ozil looks good
ALGERIA = SHITE
SLOVENIA = SHITE
SERBIA = a let down
SLOVAKIA = SHITE
NEW ZEALAND = get in there, the amateurs get their their first ever world cup goal…credit due
SWITZERLAND = again take my hats off to you..top performance
SPAIN = ON PAPER the best team at the w cup, but you dont win shit on paper…will come through though and go far far far
GHANA = VERY GOOD
IVORY COAST = LOOK strong, with doggy they could be a handful
CAMEROON = NOT the same cameroon i fell in love with in 1990….lack quality
NIGERIA = threw the game away today…too indisciplined
GREECE = Very average team…got lucky today with nigerian stupid red keita. Sorry costas lo, would like to see more of ninis
ITALY = FUNCTIONAL….buffon injury a worry…lack stardust of past years…but they’ll be there
MEXICO = TIDY TECHNICALLY GIFTED SIDE…Berra, marquez, dos santos and OFCOURSE CHICOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
FRANCE = paddy cries and gives his all for the team, yet dicks and prima donnas gallas, henry etc etc etc bastards bitch and moan, players dont get on, dont talk, dont pass to each other, detest evra for getting captaincy…not even warming up, hiding behind the goals, bitching, chatting whingeing…shame on you henry you instigating bastard. Domenech a clueless hated prick, then again he always has been. Miss the genius glue that kept it all ticking on the pitch aka ZIZOU. Domenech already gone before wcup for blanc…..why didnt they get rid before the wcup…..pathetic. Justice for the irish.
HOLLAND = OK ish…..in spurts
DENMARK = AVERAGE AS USUAL
HONDURAS = make up the numbers
SOUTH AFRICA = HOSTS POOR…A LET DOWN FOR THE COUNTRY
BBC = GOOD subtle studio…like the pundits esp seedorf who talks sense, like the stories of south african aparthied, the people etc, mandela, the struggle, showing the country etc…colin murray maybe be a dipper fan, but his highlights programme is funny…..like the pundits and programming
ITV = ott studio, TOWNSEND AND SOUTHGATE…what a bag of bollocks…desailly and davids talk shit…..great players but talk shit…overdosing on games and highlights programmes…….james cordens show is ok though, even though a bit of a rip off from fantasy footie…now that was a programme with baddiel and skinner
VUVUZELAS = ok african culture etc etc etc etc…but fuck sake i dont want to hear im continuously stuck in a traffic jam….no chants, songs atmosphere heard due to it.
JABULANI BALL = no clean hits…no long rangers, no freekicks, ball a fly away…why fuckin keep changing balls…..fuckin corrupt fifa and money making twats. Green was keeper fuck up, Nigerian keeper today unlucky with ball deviation.
SHITE WCUP SO FAR……HOPE IT IMPROVES
for me though in my lifetime it will always be italia 90, the best wcup ever…england, new order, gazza, nessun dorma, schillachi, baggio etc etc etc etc
BY the way Costas and Willierednut…….TOTALLY AGREE…JJ IS CLASS….love to work out formations and tactics and try out the jabuani with her..ahem ahem
late..bed time
Well i am irish and i celebrated double..the french got what they deserved…and it looks like sir alex found another very promising youngster! FUCK FRANCE!!! we should have been watching doyle instead of anelka.
and have a look at this pellegrini as the next cesspool manager.
http://www.clickliverpool.com/sport/liverpool-fc/129539-odds-slashed-as-manuel-pellegrini-tipped-to-be-next-liverpool-fc-manager.html
YEEEHAAA.CHICHARITO!he’s aone promising lad!i can’t wait for the season to start!brilliant,he’s the second United player to have scored.i’m glad france flopped,they weren’t supposed to be there anyway.and why did chicharito want the name herdandez on his United shirt?boy,it would have been easier to spell!
Looks like he could inject some pace into our counter attacks. I hope SAF don’t keep sticking to Berbatov due to stubborness.
Heard Obertan is getting loaned-out. Are we getting new wingers?
@ghtt
replying to what you said on the previous thread
i do feel that the irish will make it big sooner or later. the players are there both in northen ireland as well as republic of ireland.good talent coming through. i think we may see both teams at euro 2012. while the pain of missing out on the world cup will never go away completely i am sure it will make everyone feel a little better. i have a few friends who stay in belfast and other in cork. i always feel if there was just one irish football team Ireland would have been amongst the top teams. the likes of evans, given, o shea, keane, gibson in the same team would have made Ireland a stronger team
As for France they miss zidane as you said not only as a player but as a leader too. he single handedly carried them to the final in 2006. everyday there are new rumors of unrest in the French camp., Blanc has a big job on his hands
for whoever said he was offside look at the replays again. Abidal just plays him on. What surprised me was the shocking french defending. the space between the 2 centre backs was too much. also there was another incident when gallas lost composure and let salcido have a shot in the 1st half. shocking defending. gallas and abidal should know better
@Alejandra
This pic shows he wasnt offside
http://www.sbnation.com/2010/6/17/1523389/photo-mexicos-javier-hernandez-france-onside-offside
@Gudjohnsen
Chicharito, means little pea, in reference to being the son of former footballer Javier Hernández Gutiérrez, who was nicknamed Chicharo (pea) because of his green eyes.
@RedScot
There are also Greek names that end with “is” or “as”. Don’t judge anyone by their name though, lol. Can you imagine what the Nigerian Shittu must feel when he plays in England?
I agree that it’s clearly up to the Argies and how much they push the pedal. It’s not easy, but I can assure you that yesterday’s result was everything any Greek could ask. Besides, if Greece go through, it’s either Mexico or Uruguay and I don’t see us beatig either team. The tournament has been quite boring so far. Things will pick up on matchday 3 and once the last 16 round begins.
@suhayl
Lol fantastic world cup analysis. Summed it up very well. I would also like to see more of Ninis, but I can’t see it happening right now. Rehagel goes with players that defend a lot.
Even though WC 94 was my first and the one featutring many brilliant players, the 98 WC featured much better football. I wish I could have seen the 90 WC.
@Costas
Good morning. up so early. No celebration yesterday??. was a great day for you
@AIG
Good morning. It’s around 9:24 am now. I tend to get up early anyway though. We celebrated a bit in the afternoon. If we go through to the last 16, you might see some Greeks on the streets, lol.
@Costas – morning. too many similarities between us) 94 was also my first WC.
France is a joke.
@suhayl – hey, nice to see you.
“why fuckin keep changing balls…..fuckin corrupt fifa and money making twats. ”
LOL. just like the Glazers. interesting idea to change the kit while entering final year with AIG.
@Costas
thats a good habit. i have to wake up early for work .on the weekends though end up waking up at 11. the lazybone that i am . lol. there is a good chance you will go through now. guess there will be a big party if that happens. ouzo or raki time maybe
@Corea
Good morning. Yeah they are. Paddy came out and said that they can’t be considered one of the big boys anymore. I feel bad for him.
@AIG
My brother is like that. He wakes up early for work, but it’s in his nature to get up at 12 or 1pm and that’s what he does in the weekends.
I think I will drink some beer. I like ouzo but it’s a bit heavy for me. Same with raki. Once I got dizzy just by smelling it, lol.
I thought ‘wee pee’ was awesome.he chased back on many an occasion and he popped up on the left wing and the right,looks pretty versatile too!.
Felt sorry for Paddy but the French were a shambles and deserves to go out.
very mature , composed finish , i like the winger barrera , he tore paddy to pieces
My Scots tip of the day, dont write anything sensible on the main blog, or you will get invited into the Forum, God knows what for, sounds like a one on one.lol
I agree about Suhayl’s rant on the World cup, fantastic and funny.
So on we go, and we will see if the Germans are the real deal, and watch in wonderment at Nemanja.
@ Costas I did not have the courage to wind you up, with my newly found Nigerian tongue, lol
But looking forward to tonight and a few digs at me trying the English language, that will be interesting.
Cmon on Algeria, and of course the USA, bye bye Guys and Gals, Have a nice day.
so many (ex) United players scoring already… celebrated the goal yesterday as if was United scoring… Also delighted for Forlan… now come on Rooney, it’s your turn!
It might be slightly premature but SAF might just have found the next Ruud van Nistelrooy. I can’t wait to see him playing at OT. What’s more, he even has a really catchy song:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CM1OA0GV5uA
El Chicharito, Chicharito, Chicharito-rito-rito-rito-rito!
Overjoyed that the French are out. Bummed for Paddy Evra though.
the heart goes out for pat.but CHICHARITO’S IN THE HOUSE.he’s way more than promising and he’s the second united player to have scored in the world cup.i’m counting down till aug 14!
i got so excited when he scored!! lol.. good to see Hernandez scoring on the big stage.. hopefully he does big and great things for United!!!!
suhayl – Back with a back, great thoughts on the WC so far. JJ is one of my heroes also lol. The only one i like on itv is Andrain chiles, the rest are boring. Agree about Seedorf, the guy knows his football and always adds to the discussion.
Suhayl – Spot on fella.
I actually can’t stick Chiles, he knows fuck all. Davids looks stoned all the time.
Keep the goals coming! Showed good composure
