    HOW COME YOU WERENT THERE?

  2. Scott the Red says:

My dad and brother go to the midweek CL games…unless it’s against someone I really fancy. At £48 a pop, I let my dad pick up the tab until it really starts to matter lol.

Rooney’s form is no where near his best form when he joined us in the first season. He’s the main reason why we struggling to score goals.

    Drop Rooney and try

    Berba-Tevez or Tevez-Manucho or Berba-Manucho

Come on Rooney, working hard but never score is not good enough for a 27 million pounds striker.

  4. Gazzaro says:

It’s a disappointment result, of course, having play at home, we do need all 3 points. The only positive thing is that Celtic also failed to win tonight, therefore, it wasn’t too bad.

If Celtic won today, we could be in big trouble. In my opinion today most of our team play really. Nani and Evra combined our effective attack on the left hand side. Hargreves and Fletcher play well in the middle. G. Neville’s form still not as good as he used to be but it’s understandable as this is his first start of the season. Ferdinand and Evan play well, but the only downside of tonight match is that we seems don’t know how to score goal to decide the game….

I’ve said before that though in modern game of football goals can come from any player, any position, however, if the team fail to score, the main responsibility will have to go to the striker. From tonight match, again, it’s proved that Rooney is not the same player as he used to be with us in the first season anymore. He has no sharpness, lack of penetration, and above all, has no confidence to take a shot in crucial time. On the 72nd minute is a great example. Ronaldo played a SUPER BALL to Rooney which he must score or at least hit the target. However, Rooney selfishly refuse to take a shot and choose to pass that big responsibility to Tevez which finally failed. If he was the same Rooney (as the first season), he would prefer to shot and I think he will score for us tonight.

Overall, I believer that if Berbatov is fit, the best team for United at the moment will be….

    ………………………………Van Der Sar………………………………..

    G.Neville…………… Ferdinand…………. Vidic …………………..Evra

    ……………..Hargreves (or Fletcher)…………Carrick…………………..

    ………………………….Anderson (or Scholes)……………………………

……..Ronaldo (Free Player – can go both sides)………………………….

    ……………………Berbatov…………..Tevez…………………………….

  5. Haakon says:

    Gazzaro, I doubt that formation.

Imho our best team at the moment; VDS – Brown Ferdinand Vida Evra – Ron Carrick Scholes Nani/Park/Giggs/Rooney (pick one) – Tevez Berbatov

However, I might have a feeling Sir Alex will start with all four of our attacking force on sunday; VDS – Brown Ferdinand Evans Evra – Ron Hargo Fletcher Rooney – Tevez Berbatov

People have spoken about the combination of Rooney-Berbatov, but I think the partnership Ronaldo-Berbatov will really flourish – Ronaldos pace and movement combined with Berbatovs intelligence will make a deadly duo. Thoughts?

  6. Drew Vader says:

Gazzar—at the moment, as you say, Carrick is out injured. And I would start Brown over Wes every day of the week.

  7. Drew Vader says:

    Brown over Gary*–I’m an idiot

  8. Sully [South Africa] says:

I was really dissappointed with our overall display.I for one dont understand why on God’s green earth our fans like Anderson so much. He’s shit. I recall distinctly there was a poll on RoM about who should get the nod in midfield, and play week in week out, Scholesy or Anderson and MOST of you lot went for Anderson. My arse Anderson over Scholesy. No fucking way! Give me Scholesy any day of the week. I know i’ll get some flak for saying this but he’s pretty much an average player. He’s no Scholesy! Last night against Villarreal every pass of his went wayward, n his shooting was as shit as ever. When Anderson tried to dink the ball to Rooney and it went out, that four-lettered scorn [fuck] was all too evident on Rooney’s mouth. I guess even Fletcher played miles better than that Anderson. I dont see anything good in him. He’s pathetic! No wonder he’s NEVER scored for us [penalties aside]. I LOVE YOU SCHOLESY… YOU GINGER LEGEND !!!! SHOWED BARCA HOW IT’S DONE… MUFC

  9. Tom F says:

Drew, that’s funny! You could be the new Jamie Redknapp!

My starting line-up for the weekend, assuming Ronaldo is ready for a start and that Berbatov will be back would be this:

    ————————EDWIN
    HARGO———WES———RIO———-EVRA
    ———–FLETCH————–SCHOLES
    -RONNY————————————–PARK
    —————–ROONEY
    ———————–BERBATOV

If it came down to Ronaldo not starting I’d replace him with Fletcher and put Anderson alongside Scholes to help cover the back four. Tevez, imo, can come off the bench and have more impact than wayne shall it be needed. I’d rather see him start as he still is, despite the critics one of out top top players. Putting him on the bench will never help his confidence.

tevez over rooney…tevo and berbs upfront
