Great to get the game and so many youngsters on show.
Especially loved Petrucci and Tunni. Very Mature showings.
Good for Kiko to get the goal. He has tons of tallent but alot of bad luck.
Berba = Class what more to say.
Not a bad showing from Brady at LB, He had been class in our reserves but didn’t follow him last year on his loan spell to Hull. But he got 33 games with the Tigers and it has shown in his maturity. Still, all those games were as a winger. Think this is his first at LB. Could do the business if it comes to that.
Get in United Youth!!!
I don’t know about the rest of you but the new kit doesn’ actually look that bad! I mean when i first saw the picture i was horrified but now that I see it in action…its actually nice lol?
Anyway, great goal good to see the youngsters getting a chance to impress. Berba = Genius i love the guy!
Can’t wait to the new season.
Love that man Berba
Da Berb has da skillz to pay da billz.
Off to Norway to watch the lads in a couple of weeks. Shame Vidic won’t be there – keen to see him play again
Molde Molde Molde Molde…………..The Latvians came to town and we took them apart
Brady, Lingaard, Petrucci, woottoon, vesseli had good game..
Brady’s corners show how quality he is..
Lingaard is a top lad in our reserve team..
The future is in good hands..
I believe may of the lads from this treble winning reserves will step it up to first team..
Good night..
United – onwards and upwards..
Berba skill, smooth as glass.
Kiko nice goal, did well at wing.
I liked Bradys energy and game.
Tunni, Petrucci how nice.
Lindgard looked good and wanted the ball.
1-0 win.
Hmmm
Must agree, the new kit looks good from 20meters+ away and under the lights.
Gingham making a come back ?
Quality thought?
What happend to ROM? Went all Moldy all of a sudden
Mike
What the FUCK do you want? I almost num chucked you, you do not even realize…….Listen, I have a funeral on Saturday and you’re coming with
Cedars – can you imagine if we get Molde in the Champions League? What an occasion those two games would be.
What occasions even.
Fred
The mere sight of Ole at OT leading out a team would give me a heart attack……..Happy death
It’s a sad state of affairs that we’re looking to offload Berba yet keep Macheda (will never ‘make it’) and Hernandez (he’s great at sticking it in, but a very limited in almost all other areas).
Please keep berbatov ,he’s a genius..
Enjoyed that to be honest. Great to see the youngsters in the mix. Lingard was very impressive and SAF even mentioned him after the game as well! Decent cameos from the youngsters Wootton, brady Patrucci, Macheda etc. Berba was unreal tonight…he played the full 90 mins…hmm he looks as if he’s on his way out any day now though. Can see him leaving pre season early to complete a move elsewhere. A real shame though to be fair. Hernandez must come good already! He needs to lift his game. I know I’m a cunt for criticising the lad but to lead the line for United u have to be special. He’s a good striker and that’s his speciality but is he a great striker. Time will tell and I hope I’m proved wrong but at the minute I can’t see it. There’s just something not right woth the little pea. Bloody quality that United have held onto Petrucci as it looked likely he was off to Italy or somewhere else. What a talent he is! Watched him throughout the reserves last season and he was a joy to watch. The club know what they’re doing. Pleased to see Macheda score as well. Just hope he can stay injury free and get some minutes for us this season. He is a talented striker there’s no doubt about it. He’s a top finisher and I hope he gets his last chance at United. Velseli looked average imo. Can’t see him stayijg around for too long. Vermyjl impressed me quite a bit and enjoyed watching him as well last season. Strong lad and reads the game well. Looking forward to Cape Town now and also to seeing Kagawa in the mix. Hopefully he starts. The season is up and running! Can’t wait. Let’s av it!
More proof that Berbatov is a useless cunt. That through-ball to Macheda was total shite … we should just be grateful that Kiko had the ability to make something from it. As for the second clip, the guy gets an absolute peach of a cross that drops gently at his feet like a doting puppy and what does he do? Dawdles up the field before meandering sideways and almost ruining the chance for a counter-attack — before running off the ball into a wide open space in no man’s land (as if anyone’s going to pass the ball to you out there, Dimi!). Then to top it off we have the third clip, which basically sums it all up when yet again he blows an absolute sitter.
What amazes me is that the club apparently still expects to get 5 million for this guy? If he was free, they might find a taker, but probably not. More of a liability than an asset, in my view.
(Joking guys…)
Not a bad first run out, nice to see some of th eyoungsters get a run out as I havent been able to see them for quite a while.
Id like to have this opertunity to say a great big Fuck Off to sweden and Viasat tv company. Viasat bought the rights to MUTV some years back and have refused to show the channel because of lack of interest. Unfortunately it also means that theyve actively blocked all internet broadcast from MUTV online because they hold the rights. Id also like to say a big fuck off to 3. The chicken in a basket mobile comunications company that decides to send internet in pulses meaning its bloody impossible to watch streamed sports online. Id also like to say a big fat fuck off to Telia, sweden British Telecom for stopping the improvement and building out of land based phone lines so Broad band fixed is an impossibility making us rely on shitey 3G and 4G.
End of rant, oh hang on a big Fuck off to adobe for your flash player that only works on porn sites, cheers.

I personally think it is Berbatovs choice to go and Fergie won’t loose 5M if it is offered under the circumstances.
Mark my works, you will never replace Berbatov for 5M.
Might not get many games. But absolutely love him every time he graces the field.
My vote, he stays.
Right then, that will be the end of it
Ive never wanted Berbatov to leave and I personally would prefer him at OT than Rooney. I think Berbatov compliments any striker well and is more disciplined in staying up field whereas Rooney tends to drop too deep so we find it very difficult to counter attack. Rooney does run around alot more than Berbatov does but I always thought Berbatov was a more measured entity that didnt chase lost causes. Also Rooney chases too deep. Berbatovs passing in the last third is sublime whereas Rooneys passing in the last third is fucking pathetic. Rooneys passing stats are only half decent because he comes so deep and does quite a few quick one twos when he should be up the field shoulder to shoulder with a central defender putting him off balance and nodding through the odd long ball for Chica to run in on. Instead Rooney can be seen as one too many cook in midfield. We have an active forward in Wellbeck and personally Id like to see Berbatov and Wellbeck play up front with 50 million in the bank from the sale of Rooney. Perhaps get a world class striker for that money, a Van Nistelrooy. Something Rooney will never be.
Jesse Lingard “It’s been great. It just tops it off making my debut for ManchesterUnited. There’s nothing better really”
Boss singled him out as well in his post match presser

Fred,
Interesting read, but think the glazers will raise the expected cash. The offering of 10% of club value means these stocks will have to make good before any others making them a better deal if a disaster struck. Small consolation maybe. But I have a hunch the Glazers will meet their target.
Interesting comments make it clear that there is alot of negativity to this in the press:
“The banks plan to benchmark the IPO not only against traditional media entities but iconic consumer-goods companies, in an effort to justify a potentially difficult valuation.
Manchester United has yet to provide audited financial results beyond the fiscal year ended June 2011, instead relying on an exemption as an emerging growth company under the JOBS Act.”

Losing Berba will not be a good thing – unless we have a replacement striker lined up already, lets say RVP.
Seriously, otherwise I would still keep him – but then I don’t run the team either. For me he should have played more last season, and he should till be at least 3rd choice striker. But oh well…
Ok…… Mirror says we are in for RvP? Heard that, but don’t believe it.
https://twitter.com/JoeyTmufc/status/225704602333478913/photo/1/large
Fletch – tres interessant. These RvP rumours just won’t go away. Here’s the back page, full size:
http://i.minus.com/i8qci5GKA2kxH.jpg
“Fergie is understood to have told footballing friends…”
Fletch
I wouldn’t want RvP unless it meant Rooney was leaving. I’d love it for Welbz to make it at United and if RvP AND Rooney was at the club his game time would be so decimated that I think it would ruin him. Not saying he isn’t a annoyingly great striker… just that I love DannyBoy too much to see him rot on the bench!
But I also don’t think there’s any substance in the rumors. It’s City or some team outside England.
When we sign Van Perdie and Lucas + Moutinho we”ll finally be able to compete against the likes of Chelsea + Barcelona again. We have to continue with this project if we are going to ever catch up with Man City…
But if you could get RvP for 20M? That would be a bargin in my view. The off load would be Berba, which I am convinced would happen if United really wanted it to move.
My feeling is that the big driver is the Glazers IPO ambitions. Driving the push to sign kagawa and now moura.
If United purchase all 3, then the IPO would be a done deal. #Ambition!
http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/manchester-united-target-lucas-moura-1147878
Fred, You be in tight with the boss as well I imagine
Just remember, IT IS THE MIRROR WE ARE TALKING ABOUT!!!
Bloody hell!
Pictures from tonight’s win: http://www.gettyimages.co.uk/Search/Search.aspx?EventId=148973435&EditorialProduct=Sport
Theres only one name we should be interested in…….Neymar !
Fletch – I’m not in as tight with Fergie as I used to be but I have it on good authority that the Van Persil deal was struck some 7 weeks ago!
The Galacticos = Virus
The Sheikticos = The Massives
The Irwellicos = United ……. We do what we like
I’m afraid the Moutinho ship has sailed – that’s if we were ever in for him.
Fergie did say we lacked a bit of “fantasy” since Ronaldo left. I think with Rooney, Nani, Valencia, Young, Kagawa, Welbeck, Van Persie, Lucas and Berbatov we should be pretty well covered in the “fantasy” department next season.
All yous fuckers doubted Daz da bomber! He told ya’all RVP was in da bag! Respect Da bomb from now on!
Out of all the young lads tonight I thought Jesse Lingard was the best; he seems to have the same one – touch ability as Tom Cleverley in tight spaces – looked like he had been playing there for years.
Dis the Mirror all you like lads, but they have had pretty good intelligence on the Lucas situation.
The most recent article continues in that thread.
But I honestly can’t believe we are going to offer €44 million for a lad on £10,000 per week. Silly season!
Can’t wait till Fergies presser where he will say, “what you on about, we don’t have anyone anywhere in South America”
I share the worries about Hernandez; his touch and timing were awful – no sharpness at all; I hope I’m wrong but he actually looked a bit lonely out there!
Sir Fergie is bringing home the bacon!
Anyone questioning Fergies ability to spot a talent should replay video 3 above. Brady as a back up to Evra could be the move of the decade. What a corner kick?! Nani might be out of a job!
Fletch – his ability to spot a talent has never been in doubt. Brady looked impressive today. He has amassed loads of appearances on loan. Looks strong and has the temperament and yes it’s one pre-season game but he could be a back up to evra this season.
I said my piece on Brady on the Brady thread. Plenty of players have started their career out of position and gone on to have had great careers at United. Sharpe, Scholes, Fletcher to name a few. Our left backs do just as much attacking as defending, but this way he can learn the defensive side and put it to good use if he makes it in his preferred position. Thought he did okay tonight but want to see him against better opposition with all due respect to AmaZulu.
With that in mind as amazing as Berba was tonight it was only AmaZulu but he’s certainly showing teams out there what he can do (as if we didn’t know already).
As for Van Persie and Moura. Don’t believe either will happen, don’t give the Mirror much credence although will say they have improved since they dropped the “Daily” from their name.
The danger for hernandez is, if he doesn’t step up a gear or two and show signs of improvement in order to nail down a regular place. I’ve always said that in the modern game, a striker has to have and offer more than lurking to nick a goal. Hernandez needs to improve his overall link up play and he needs to learn how to beat the off side trap.
Anyone have a link to a decent explanation of the “Home Grown Rule”.
Would a lad like Lucas qualify if he stayed till he was 23? I think not, but can’t find a good link.
Reuters: UNITED IPO
“Updated results will presumably be forthcoming prior to the official launch IPO. The latest filing, on Monday, provides limited additional disclosure, other than the selection of “MANU” as the club’s ticker for a New York Stock Exchange listing.”
Lords Help Us! These Glazers really, truly, are without a freekin clue.

SAF wins
Not a lot of conclusions one can draw on a friendly like this. For Kiko, Brady or anyone else.
All I have to say, is enjoy the Berbarotica while it lasts.
Only problem with Berba is his lack of movement. If we find a way to give the ball to him proper timing he is always threatening forward.
It is clear to me now why Berba IS UNFAIRLY TREATED.
Remember 09/10…Berba was shit, SAF dropped him and played Roon as a lone forward and it paid dividends. Plus the FA Cups sitters and penalty must have pissed off the bossman and also his terrible display against Blackburn and Bolton(?) that year.
Rooneys injury and ambition-gate….forced SAF’s hand, he had to rely and centre the team around the Berb. when that happened the Berb was firing by himself and alongside Chicha. those 2 striked a partnership along with Nani as Chief Creator.
With the return of Golden Locks, Wazza….Berba was once again thrown to the dark pits of neglect and dropped for the CL final in favour of a very poor unfit Owen.
Berba last season was dropped again ! But whenever given the opportunity, he impressed.. This however is not enough when young players are shining in Chico and Welbz. Its sad to say but “Berba has plenty to offer Manchester United, but we have slapped a failure tag on him”. He’s not part of the plans and SAF is just keeping him to maintain numbers and rinse and squeeze the £30m value outof him.
No disrespect to SAF, but this is typical of him. Ruthless. Its obvious Berba is a disappointment to him and he made his conclusion on him during the CL final in 2009 when neither Berb or Tevez played. 09-10 was another poor year and 10/11 was a three-quarter season of brilliance that obviously didn’t leave a lasting impression on SAF thus the axe since then. Rooney is man obviously and everything revolves around maximising Rooney, which is why we see less of Rooney-Chico in 2011/12 when Chico is fit.
I think Berba should have been sold in the summer of 2011 straight up.It was too ruthless even for SAF to let a guy like Berba rot for a year just to maintain number of strikers. It didn’t help United or the players. We should sell the poor fella ASAP.
I reckon he’s got plenty to offer but the guy in charge doesn’t and his call is often correct so we shall see. But I foresee Berba still at club in September.
Thing is with a lot of players Berba’s age, they’ve lost their pace, their advantage. It’s not something that affects him any more than it affects a player like Scholes who is a good few years his senior. Having said that he did seem to gain an extra yard just over a year ago after I remember reading about him working on the running. It’s not been consistently great though between Rooney and the Berb as a partnership. vven when one of the two has played brilliantly as an individual. If the 3 best players at boxes are currently Carrick, Scholes and Berba it’s natural to play them in a triangle but the way we play, it’s often Rooney coming back to support but it’s frustrating because
a.) he’s got his back to goal, which isn’t the bulldozing, positive, confident dribbler we signed from Everton. He’s obviously improved facets of his game here but this is what occurs in games which means that
b.) Berba, not wanting to get too close, moves to an area where he is no longer the 3rd box player with Carrick and Scholes and this is all the more annoying because he wants the ball when marked and can turn when in a back-to-goal position and has enough power and reserved energy to do this and as Goat mentioned above, his final 3rd passes are decent.
My Main issue with this whole Berba thing is simple;
Why is he still here?
If he’s not wanted, sell him.
If he is wanted,
play him, we’ve had 4 strikers in the past, no excuses.
And why do we want to sell him again?? Fuck sake
Couldn’t watch the game – but its good to see Macheda putting the ball in the back of the net and it sounds like the “unproven” lads did themselves a favour. I can’t write off any of them off, you need look no further than Evans and Welbeck. Course its “only” pre-season but our Club does place a huge emphasis on it. We have to with the rivals we have and it’s not just for monetary reasons.
At least I can catch Saturdays match!
Dempsey in the top 10

This is clearly a try out for Berbatov to be in a deeper Pirlo type role. Depending on which opponent, there would be a couple of options with different combination of players and shape. Attacking wise, one of the plan is to have Cleverly and Anderson in midfield, Kagawa linking up with Rooney and Welbeck upfront, with wide players of Nani and Young, with as many one touch passes as they can, this will be the speedier version of our team play, like at the beginning of last season, mouth-watering prospect.
Another plan is to have Scholes/Giggs and Carrick in midfield, Berbatov as a playmaker rotating with the guys upfront of Rooney and Hernandez, Valencia and Kagawa out side, this would be the more stable version while maintaining the attacking flair. All the other players on standby as back ups. Note that several players exchanging their positions and roles is the way to move forward, just check out how the beginning of last season went. It would be our version of the carousal that would break the other teams apart. You read it here first.
Morning reds aroubd the world..
I can say our young lads are good enough to make it to the first team, may be in a year’s time..
Good morning reds of Mancunia
Well….
Brady’s firs forward move, simply magical..
I was impressed by lingaard aswell, he’s that good when breaking forward in pace, unstoppable.
Berba well… As usual class, but a united type player, he’s good with the ball at his feet, but will he create space for himself when the ball isn’t at his feet?
That’s another story…
Lindegaard class, made some crucial saves you could see he’s athleticism.
He will certainly challenge de gea for the starting line-up, which is good for the team
Anderson well… Seems like bebe isn’t doing his there, he’s still fat as hell which makes me wonder if he does practice exc.. In off season
Nonetheless he showed that he can step it up when he want
He miss placed couple passes, but settled in as the game unfolded..
Kagawa nearly got on to an assist on his first touch if were not for the daft lines-man
Haha my english is already bad hence I think I should stop b4 it gets boresome
Just read this,
in our last 4 pre season tours to South Africa, we have gone on to win the title that year
Just saying…
Berba not a united type player
O SAF please don’t give our Berba away!!
Newcastle sold andy carroll for £35m and have used the money to buy cisse, ba, cabaye, tiote, ben arfa, santon & andy carroll. Genius!!!
Berba-class, will be missed if he goes
A good start for the young lads thou, this win will help them build the confidence, thou it is still too early to say whether they can brush shoulders with the players in the premier league
Morning all
Been in touch with Zibbie and he is pissed off at being banned…….Anyway he just wanted to pass on his greetings to the following ……..Fred, MG, Willie and all the Indian lads on here, that was his note…
Cheers
Berba looked class but to be fair so do I against the nags head on a Sunday. Berba has always had the skill and class but just doesn’t seem to fit.
When I questioned Bebe’s inclusion everyone posted about if Fergie thinks he has improved than that’s enough, in Fergie we trust. Well the same goes for Berba Fergie played him 4th choice last year so doesnt think he is what we need.
This is not a berba rant as personally I think he is a genius but its not a good marriage unfortunately.
Giggs12
Morning mate, have to agree with you…….I am one of Berba’s biggest fans but you are right it just does not seem to be working, last season was the perfect example…..
Morning Giggsy12 and Che Cedara,
Cedars,
Pass on my regards to Zibster,
I m sending a text to STR on FB NOW regarding his ban..hope it will be lifted soon..
“Being able to come and see how these schemes work and the great work UNICEF do in struggling communities is one of the great things about coming on tour – we’re really lucky to have the opportunity to lend our support.”
- Ben Amos
Sandy Baby
Morning my friend, cheers and good move with the note to StR, I have emailed him and I know a couple on here have sent him messages via Twitter.
Still annoyed at the whole thing to be honest, a poster so bubbly like Zibbie gets banned while an openly racist bigot is allowed to post!
“As an UNICEF Ambassador and through United’s 13-year ‘United for UNICEF’ partnership I’ve visited many projects, but to hear how young people, especially orphans, suffer is always shattering.”
- Sir Alex Ferguson
@Papii at 02:05
That’s the thing that bugged me about last season. We kept him around, but there was little intention of ever rotating the strikers properly. As soon as the season began, it was determined that one striker (Rooney) was 1st choice and another striker (Berbatov) was 4th choice. The only real battle going on was between Danny and Hernandez. Fergie said yesterday that Berbatov obviously wants to leave. Not hard to understand why. If this is how we will handle our striker policy, we are better off with Kiko as the 4th striker and Berbatov elsewhere.
Morning Reds!
Zibbie got banned? WTF?
Giggs12 – how are ya mate? How’s it been?
Cedars,
Lets hope for a quick fix my friend..
its time we did something about this ID theft..
its Zibster today, tomorrow it may me, you or anybody…
Morning Devil310,
Costas,
Morning buddy,
its better we sell Berba, its better for all the parties involved, we have spent hours on defending the lad here but he is considered in the opposite pole in our formation..
now all that remains is, Berba should be getting the game time somewhere else..
Sandy / Devil310
The banning of Zibbie had nothing to do with ID theft, he said something off colour and got banned, his username was not hacked………..Again though I am fucking baffled that a self confessed suicidal right wing racist Nazi is allowed to post and more baffled that some give him the time of day!
SHOCKING!
If I am boring people with this, feel free to skip through my posts, I will NOT let it go……..
Giggs12, In Fergie We Trust! I completely agree.
As Costas said, it was clear that we were going to give our young strikers a go because they were the future. They will be here in 5 years time and they will be great players. No doubt about it. But then why keep Berbatov. As an expensive insurance policy at a time when wage money is hard to come by at United. And when the youngsters are not doing well, why not rotate them a bit for Berbatov. It seemed to work well with Teddy, why not try that? He wasn’t played at all. Zilch. Never. When Danny and Chicha couldn’t buy a goal to save their lives, he was still looking on from the bench only.
I am someone who will follow Sir Alex into the Land of the Dead like Legolas and Gimil followed Aragorn in LOTR. That is how much blind faith I have in Sir Alex. So I don’t really mean to question his decision. However, I will never, for the love of my life, understand his handling of Berbatov. That will always remain a mystery to me. I am sure he has his reasons but it will bloody well be great to find out what those are.
STR,
Don’t ban zibbie. Ban racist farm animals.
Cheers.
Cedars,
hmmm..i was not aware of the reason behind the ban..
i m shocked…
I would say, at the risk of being maligned, we should keep berba welbeck and rooney as our main strikers and chicho as the supersub. Atleast untill his touch improves.
With shinji in the team we’re going to rely heavily on one touch passing quick movement and exceptional holdup play. All of which berba excells at and chicho falls a bit short…
Morning Rom’ers,
can someone please enlightened me who is that self confessed suicidal right wing racist Nazi poster???
@sandeep: fergie e’s statement on orphans explains the bebe transfer
@coomy : see ‘racist farm animals’
self confessed suicidal right wing racist Nazi
What the Fuck is that.dont know the beef and history between you and said poster but to be honest I font care. Trolling massively and It’s becoming boring.
I reckon STR judges on a case by case basis and you said it yourself, zibbie fucked up and said something he shouldn’t have. Goes in the dock, end of. When and if the owner sees it fit, he’ll let him back in.
Jeet / Balaji
You both got an email you lazy gits!
slim
I like you mate, but do not judge me on this issue if you are unaware of the history, some of things the racist bigot said on here are beyond disgusting………This is not a personal feud but a matter of principle and YES StR was wrong
Cedars – that sucks mate. Hope it get sorted quick. Not too sure how the mechanics of this blog works, but can he just call himself Sibbie and just post again?
On a lighter note, how good does it feel to watch the first game of preseason? Just gives you that feeling that season is around the corner.
I ought to say, the table cloth doesn’t look too back from a distance. I had a girl like that once, tho. Damn she look how from a far, but once you got too close, that feeling was gone

Fucking typos…I meant to say, “she looked hot”
I’ve noticed my typing does get pretty awful after midnight
@Sandy
Morning mate. Personally speaking, I will never be convinced Berbatov was merely a detriment to our style of play. There were plenty of games last season where our tempo was incredibly slow and he was nowhere near the side. A team can’t play faster or slower thanks to one player. In my opinion Berbatov was unlucky that his United run coincided with probably our worst spell in terms of midfield options. 4-4-2 wouldn’t work because we were losing the midfield battles and everytime we would switch to 4-5-1, naturally he’d get dropped. Anyway, that’s in the past. I will miss the lad more than anyone that’s left the club but in reality, his UNited career ended aftert the Ch.League snub. Keeping him around for an extra year was pointless and it harmed every party involved. Berbatov didn’t make any crucial contributions in 11-12 and the PSG offer (for him personally and our club) isn’t going to happen again. He’ll probably end up in the Turkish league or somewhere along those lines.
@Costas – how are you mate? totally you on this one. I love Chicha, but I think he should be 4th choice, not Berba.
Second or even first choice striker is on his way to United…………Just read dazbomber’s posts.
If it comes off I will have a hands free orgasm
Spot on, Costas…personally, as I’ve said before, I believe there’s more to it than meets the eye….my suspicions are on one of Fergie’s granddaughters succumbing to berbarotica
Cedars, if we get RvP, will you buy the table cloth with his name on it? really?
Hands free orgasm…remind me to give a wide berth to cedar’s vaccuum cleaner
Devil310
I always have a joke about it, but if we do sign him it will a master stroke, the lad is fucking quality….Still cannot see it happening to be honest……….If it does, the table cloth will of course have his name on it…Mind you Kagawa could be a close second on the man crush front! ha ha ha
LOL – you crazy bastard.
Past bedtime here. See you all in my tomorrow and in your tonight
Sweet dreams Devil310!!
Here’s the mirror RVP exclusive. Not very convincing I’m sure you’ll agree.

You’re alright too mate and I’m not judging you. Im not pleased with the way you’re going about defending your friend . You guys have contact with STR and each other keep the tug of war restricted to emails. It’s goof you let everyone know what you perceive to be going on but that’s where it should end in my opinion.
At some dross training for work. Not so bad, I get free lunch and I hear WIFI is unsecured. Get to post to my heart content
Jeet
Would love to see you try that mate! Should be fucking hilarious!
mancdub
Yeah read that this morning, still cannot see it happening
Sandy, cedars, Belaji, Devil 310
Morning lads just on the way to the big smoke for a few meetings. Weather is nice down south compare to the grey clouds of Manchester.
On last nights outing it was evident to me the need flr youngsters to go on loan. I think petrucci needs to stay fuck me that boy is calmness personified he excites me the most. I think Lingard’s performance as good as it was is being over hyped. He is very raw and needs a loan stint for me. Tunni as I have been saying for a while is 18 months of first team his first touch and thought process is not ready but he is still young for the role he plays.
One thing that really made me think last night was when paddy crerand said Macheda is 20. Fuck me how many people have written him off and he is so young. I say he is a natural born striker and we need to get behind him a little.
slim
I am NOT defending a friend mate, I am defending the principle of the thing…….Zibbie is a poster I only know through the blog just like I know you and if it were anyone else I would have done the same thing if I thought it was wrong……….The racist bigot is a mental case who I will always be after, that is just me and my opinion………. Do enjoy your day, I miss them training day outs, great food and lots of nice babes!!
Good morning lads regarding RVP I know it’s not come off yet but this is how I heard it . About six weeks ago my mate rang me and said he heard that RVP had contacted United and that he wanted to join us. This was when he was supposed to be going to City and before he said he wanted to leave , a few bets were placed . Next about Three weeks ago I was told that we have got him from a person who is a best friend to a United player who I trust and has no reason to make it up . On this my friends and I put on some bets that he would join us , last night was the first indication that it could be true not that i ever doubted the lad . I hope it comes off Rooney and RVP upfront fucking hell
Daz the Bomb
Fucking hell indeed, just hope you’re doing a Fly on us
Dazbomber
Mate pretty much what I was advised also from a mate who is well connected. Same guy told me Kenny was getting the bullet back in Jan. I think it will happen and could Berba be used on the deal?
Devil 310
Agree on berba should have had more time than Chico. Hernandez really needs to find his form as, as it stands he is nowhere near wellbeck. Hernandez and Rooney are the best pair when all in form but will RVP be added?
You’re NOT doing a Fly on us………..Fucking typos
I wouldn’t like RVP at United for anything above 20 million but if we can somehow get 20 million pounds for him then BY ALL MEANS go for it. If we sign Robin van Persie and SOMEHOW manage to land Lucas Moura on top of that…. Holy shit. I might just explode. LOOL.
@Devil310
Hi pal. I am good, thanks. Can’t complain! It’s been a very relaxed period for me. How are you? Regarding Chicha, it’s hard to single out one striker as being 4th choice. Because if we manage to make all 4 of them important to the squad, then all of them will have a part to play. Berbatov could be a better fit for home matches, Hernandez for away matches, Welbeck more suitable to link up with Rooney, etc etc. It’s what Fergie managed to do with our 4 strikers in 99-01 and it helped make us more unpredictable. However things are different for another reason now. Kagawa’s arrival has possibly signalled the end of 4-4-2 for the time being. And just like we found out when Fergie switched to 4-5-1 back in 2001, 4 strikers are a luxury. That’s another reason why I can’t see Berb staying.
@Jeet
RVP to Utd?? Personally, I don’t see it happening. If it does happen then that means very little playing time for Welbeck and Chico which would really disappoint me.
Regrading last nights match, I thought Lingaard was the pick of the young lot. The boy is definitely talented but he needs a loan spell to get ready for the first team. Petrucci looked good while he was out there and should have had a goal to his name. Brady did a decent job at LB but its still too early to say whether he will be good at it. Roll on Saturday.
Sorry to piss on everybody’s parade, but how would RVP_Roo be better than Berba_Roo? Be careful what you wish for, chavs thought drog_ladyboy combo would be unbeatable
Costas – the answer to your last question is of course ‘Jeet’
Linked to a striker, winger, defender, winger, ACM, striker again…. Let’s face it, we won’t even consider buying a proper CM this year either.
Cedars, mate, I prefer human touch, thanks very much
Having the best finisher in world football cannot be a bad thing……..Still cannot see it happening, but if it did it would be a master stroke my the boss
Fucking damn cunting typos
Cedars, Replied mate!
Just my thoughts on the matter, if we had a chance of getting him I would not hesitate for a second the best forward in the world last season , I have never seen any one hit a ball like him since Bobby Charlton
Daz
Too fucking right mate, some of his goals are beyond fucking physics
I have been receiving several e-mails off people over the past few weeks complaining about the comments on the blog.
The immature rowing between certain people is putting other people off visiting and commenting on the blog. This is not acceptable.
If you have a problem with someone, exchange e-mails and sort it out away from the blog.
If the childish bickering continues, I am going to disable comments indefinitely. It’s up to you. I have better things to do with my time than to deal with this nonsense.
StR
What the fuck are you on about mate? So people cannot get in touch with you? Personally I wrote to you once and that was this morning and I think we sorted a problem out………If it fucking annoys you then remove the ‘contact’ thingy from your blog
by the way,
If we are really in for RVP,
May be we will sell Rooney next season?
Cedars,
Calm down pal,
STR isnt telling he is annoyed because of the mails he is getting..
i dont want this to be one of those situations, one thing leading to other fucking thing..
just let it go this time..
i think Zibbie will be back very soon..
and i hope STR bans the other racist punk, that’s what we are askign him to do anyway, otherwise it will be fucking injustice..
Morning
Sandeep I don’t want to see any players leave but I do fear one or two going this summer. For the media, 1 or 2 would equal an exodus in their eyes and much bullshit would be written and discussed about the situation. If we lose significant players then I think the owners would have to be looking at replacements of the caliber of Van Persie.
I think one of the things we’ve got going for us is the sheer number of players familiar with playing with each other (excuse the pun hehe). It’s a weapon you need against the big spending upstart Clubs. The youngsters have this familiarity as well which can only be good. I hope nobody leaves but there’s the financial books to think about and although I hate the Glazers, I’m very understanding of their no-win predicament, in that if they sell without replacing there’s a possibility that cash could go towards debts but if they replace a Rooney with a RVP and a Nani with a Ronaldo then they’d get accused of not tackling the debt when next year’s finances are released!
Xol,
all right matey,
new thread up pal,
catch you there..
StR, I’ve always shied away from telling you what to do with YOUR blog, but honestly, if we are talking of standards of comments, then by the same token, you should take on board our comments about the standard of content. Are you planning to do a ‘view from the enemy’? 5 day old ‘quick reactions’. Not a single thought provoking post from YOU in ages. Just rehash of media coverage, ‘where to put your money’ and 5 super quickies uploaded on a toilet break that leaves posters running helter skelter.I’m sure I don’t need to tell you that content generators are more treasured than content aggregators. If you don’t have time for this sort of thing either, that’s a fair pt, let us know of your plans for the blog. For what its worth, I guess we could also help by contributing content and keep the place running if you don’t have the time. Personally I come to the blog these days for a chat, some banter and debates – your posts simply serve to put up some blank real estate for us to scribble on and while that’s something we are all grateful for, its a sad decline of standards. I am sorry if I sound unduly vitriolic, but if I may suggest so, you might actually take it in a positive way – a mark of admiration for your original work, a request for you to engage a little more, because as RoM owner, your opinions do, and should matter. Over to you.
When was the last time we saw a United player hit a volley as sweet as that?
Marq,
I think we have to go back to Villa park coupla years ago..
that Scholesy scorcher..
What the fuck is happening to this blog.Whats the beef my friend Cedars? I have not visited the blog for long time so got no idea of what is happening here but It is sad to see some internal conflict in RoM
CedarsDevil – I wasn’t referring to the e-mail you sent me but thanks for the aggressive response anyway.
At no point did I say I don’t want people to contact me, that was an odd thing for you to take from my comment. I said nothing like that. I said I’m fed up of having to hear about grown men on here behaving like little kids on a weekly basis. My issue is with the fact people are being put off from coming on the blog because there are people arguing about nothing to do with football on here.
jeet – If you don’t like it, don’t come here. I have a life outside the blog. If you want to find a better blog, please do. I’m telling you how things are going to be. The petty squabbles stop or the comment section goes. Simple as that.
I think Scott has a point here. Sorry to say but Zibbie was hardly posting anything useful to this blog. I have been in this blog for one month only so I may be wrong but as much as I have seen zibbie wasn’t posting anything useful He may be passionate United fan but I feel he should be posting something good. No hatred towards him but I think its the fact.
StR, very professional and dignified response from you. No one’s denying you have a life beyond the blog, like I said, if you don’t have the time, let us know of your plans for the blog, because maybe we can help, or at least we know what to expect. You might own the damn place, but we also make it what it is. Mate, if I didn’t like the place I wouldn’t bother writing this, like you I DO have a life. However, and I believe I speak for many on here, if you refuse to take any constructive criticism, and keep up this ultra-defensive ‘it’s my blog, and screw you all’ facade, we might be tempted to ask you to stick the blog where the sun don’t shine. And then you can ban us all for petty squabbling, disable comments, and all that, but the whole thing would be a bloody shame, wouldn’t it? Think about it with a cool head – engage!
Good Day
Scot the Red
You thought my response was aggressive? That was borderline a make out pal…..
Listen mate, I will always be appreciative of the fact that you created this blog, it has given me personally some great memories and I have made some great friends on here…….But enough with this ‘I have a life outside the blog’ nonsense, like the rest of us do not? Some of us love this place so much that we take it upon ourselves to alert you when we think something is wrong……If you were not referring to me in your post then you could have been a lot clearer…..
If we were to Get RVP, then the next target woud have to be Moutinho and the end of the 4-2-3-1 formation because I don’t see either he or Rooney on the bench. And if the reports that Madrid are offloading Gago, he would be an option if we need a CM
Cedars – I don’t think I could have been any clearer, actually. Maybe you should read it again. You e-mailed me about reinstating a member of the blog whose comments appeared to be spam. What on earth does that have to do with petty bickering by grown men on here? Nothing at all, so it’s puzzling as to why you thought my comment was directed at you. I genuinely have no idea why you were confused. I have no problem with people telling me that there is something wrong. I have a problem with there being something wrong in the first place.
If you aren’t happy with how the blog is, then go and find another one. If you don’t want to find another one, cool. Why don’t you create your own blog and do a better job than I do here? Please send me the link when it’s up and running.
StR
That post was uncalled for, your sarcasm ripped through shit…..Oh sorry was I swearing?
Is this really STR typing?
or his account has also been fucking hacked?
what goes around comes back around..
I have been mostly out of here this off season, looking in from time to time. A few comments.
Zibbie has always been on the fringe of shocking if not downright so . More than once he has said cringe-worthy things better left unsaid. No news there. I have no idea what the final straw was. That said , he is also extremely insightful and perceptive. Above all he bleeds MUFC RED. His chemically induced musings could be edgy to say the least. His intellect was apparent as was his boredom at times.
Is he a right wing nut? What exactly is that? I might claim membership to that club just by virtue of living in Texas , intensely disliking Obama ( does that make me a racist? ) , loving guns and God , shooting poor defenseless animals and eating them. As a former Marine who has too many dead friends , I am saddened at the decided lack of so called tolerance by those who espouse to be “enlightened” and more tolerant than “the Right wing nuts” . Especially since so many of them enjoy freedoms they take for granted and have never and will never be called to protect them. We continue in our clueless ,comfort seeking existences debating trivialities while our declared enemies steadfastly use those very freedoms to seek our demise.
ROM is comprised of many who are united under the banner of love for MUFC. Remember that.
Financial status, social status, race and religion runs the gamut here. Leave the labels behind and stick to sport !
There must be a Standard of Conduct and it must be enforced. That is inviolate. if Zibbie is afoul of that , so be it. But I for one hope that he will return.
Now to the real business:
I was ABSOLUTELY thrilled to see my MUFC on the beautiful pitch yesterday. For you Berba lovers ,I too love watching him play. But for every delicious piece of skill he unveils there is a frustrating counterpoint. On one attack he provided a slide rule pass to Kiko up the left slot. The AmaZulu defense numbered five , Chica was on the right wing matching Kiko’s run . After delivering the pass Berba stopped his run instead of continuing. Five Amazulu defending plus thier keeper, two MUFC in attacking and Berba watching from 25 yards away. THAT is what infuriates SAF about him. Too often after the sublime display of skill he shuts down and DOES NOT FOLLOW THROUGH. Rooney or ANYONE else would have pressed on looking for a rebound or volley and the defense would have been unaware of their presence. Lampard has made a career of such late arriving goals.
@ Sushi 21:38 The new kit does actually look good. I was surprised as well.
Contrary to the nonsense that Cedars was posting on here about Zibbie being banned, his posts were being put in to a spam filter. This was triggered by a post of his which contained several links and copied and pasted coments from other people. There is a spam filter that automatically does this.
Cedars e-mailed me today to let me know and the first chance I got I went through all of the spam filter to investigate what was going on with Zibbie. He has now been reinstated and I have shown him the post the triggered the spam filter so he will know how to avoid it happening again.
Cedars on the other hand has been banned after saying: “Go ahead and ban my fucking ass from here you ungrateful waste”. This came following no threat of being banned and completely unprovoked on my part.
In future, if there’s something anyone needs to talk me about urgently, e-mail me. It’s ridiculous to think that I can read through every single comment on here. Don’t post things in here, expect me to read them, then slag me off and tell me to ban you if I don’t get back to you. I dealt with Zibbie’s case within hours of being made aware of it over e-mail, as I have promptly dealt with numerous cases of people copying each other’s identities. Thanks.
Much appreciated STR .
Hell I wonder if this is a Football blog or a Political drama blog. After the sachu fiasco I stopped posting regularly because some Intelligent posters (Don’t want to name anyone) accused me that I was hacking the account. I read every thread that scott posts and I enjoy it. Enough of this crap
No one is bigger than this blog and this blog should be primarily for Manchester united topics and not personal topics. I hope everything returns to normal.
Glad to see the kids playing. Kiko, lingard, Petrucci, Brady e.t.c
Jeysus STR, you should be a kindergarten teacher with the toddler fights you’re breaking up in the sand box. Grown fucking men.. shows this site is going to the dumps with jobless fodder-sprouting idiots squabbling about non-UNITED shit..
LET’S TALK FOOTBALL!
