Really a shame he didn’t choose England. I am bit of a pessimist of his loan to Sampa but hope dies last.

  6. hesselbom says:

    GHTT:
Not necessarily, since it doesn’t appear to be an Italian commentator but some middle-eastern. MUTV says Ma[k]eda, and even Wikipedia says that’s how it’s pronounced, so I will countinue pronouncing it that way. :)

  7. RedScot says:

Good goal Kiko, its takes something for the Keeper to be beaten at that post.
Its great he looks very happy and the way his team mates all congratulate him on his Goal he looks very popular already!
    Well done. Good news.

Off Topic..Anyone watching the reserves game?? I have been very impressed with Pogba and Tunniclife..Both players don’t mind getting stuck in..Potential box to box mids..also impressed with L.Cole..that lad has got magic in his boots..

  12. RedScot says:

@ Ut4life, yes i am watching it mate,Agreed Larnell Cole has been great along with Pogba, Cofie and as you say Ryan Tunniclife, all the lads have played well though and the AWAY supporters.
Any ways match has restarted. Enjoy.
Neat Goal bye William keane also.
    Cmon You Reds.

  13. dela says:

That was either sublime or a big fluke. He’s our lad, so I think I’ll give him the benefit of the doubt.

    @Utd4life
Do you have a link mate? Where are you watching it?

  14. vivo chicharito says:

Pogba is on another level, he is class for everyone else.. Tunnicliffe is quality as well, and Will Keane is going to be a special player to but he and Tunnicliffe need to build thier upper bodys befor they are ready. But pogba is not too far away from making the first team the lad is absolute class, always two steps ahead and his distribution is quality.. Any news on Petrucci anyone?

  15. 11am says:

A lot of talented youngsters in this game cole cofie van velzen keane. Think
Pogbas best chance to make the first team. Hope we can get a few more goals

Are you guys referring to the FA youth cup game? I’ve been looking for the score everywhere (I don’t have MUTV) – any idea where I can follow it?

  18. dela says:

    @hesselbom
Everyone I know refers to him as Ma-k-eda, but surely the Italians know how to pronounce their names better than us, don’t you think? :)

  21. vivo chicharito says:

11am, agreed with you! alot of quality youngsters we have here. I’ve been watching them for some years now and you just get excited by the likes or morrison, pogba, coffie, keane brothers, petrucci, etc. I was absolutley gutted about Eikrem leaving tho!

  22. harrythered7 says:

Mike Dean fails to produce a yellow card for a coming together identical to that of Rafael’s second at the weekend.
    Double standards.

  23. willierednut says:

Corea – He couldn’t choose England mate, he’s Italian lol. ps I know what you meant

  24. Corea says:

willierednut – lol. good shot mate.

  25. 11am says:

Me too, enjoy watching reserves and academy when i can. was disappointed eikrem wasn’t given a chance. We do have first option on him though. Ole was very keen to take him with him too. Forgot about Morrison tonight, he injured?

  26. TonyBee says:

Non OF THE FUCKING STREAMS WORK :@

  27. KJ says:

Just a note: this vid is an Arabic not Italian, so nevermind the pronunciation. Great to see macheda playing well

  28. vivo chicharito says:

I dont think he is, there’s been an article in the gurdian to say that he was caught intimidating a witness and united have therefore suspended him but nothing as of yet has been confirmed. Any news on when petrucci will be back?

  29. Ryan90MUFC says:

    Don’t touch his hair!!!

Off topic but Arse-nil’s latest song… Come to see thee Aresnal, You’ve only come to see Thee Arsenal.

The Scum fans are ripping their away fans for not singing haha!

  30. 11am says:

VC – hadnt heard that and doesn’t sound good. I’ll have a search for it now. He’s had problems before and if this is the case he’s not learning.

Not heard much of petrucci, seemed to be kept quite secretive by the club throughout his illness, last I heard was a couple of months ago when he was supposed to be coming back then

  31. MG says:

Rio has said on twitter Nasri is player of the season so far

    Huh?

Who’s on twitter? Go tell him Nani is a superior player and he plays with him doh!

  32. MyCowIsTheBest says:

    @MG i prefer to say it’s Vidic :)

  33. AnomanderRake says:

Hey guys. @Work and so cant watch the reserve game.

United win in the FA cup 4th round 1 goal to nil against Wet Spam at Upton Park.
Go through to a 5th round tie at Old trafford(Likely) against either Newcastle United or Grimsby town.
MOM in my opinion Larnell Cole, Tom Thorpe, Paul Pogba, John Cofie, Michelle Fornasier,Ryan Tunniclife William Keane,Micheal Keane, Gylian Van Velzen, Tyler Blackett, Sam Johnstone. OOOpsie I cant count.

  38. Saad says:

Grimsby Town it is! Can anyone tell me how good their youth team is? They don’t seem to be tough but they did beat Newcastle.

    All the way United!

  39. vivo chicharito says:

    Spot on RedScott!

  40. RedScot says:

@ Viva chicharito, Thanks. It was a great game a tough one for the lads the done the job though.

  41. slim says:

NIce one Kiko. And a suggestion to Scott The Red. It goes without saying that this is the best United blog on the internet with faithful followers; now if a weekly podcast could be added to the posts and discussions ROM would be totally awesome. For me ROM is my epicbattleaxe.com – for all you gamers out there check it out its bad ass and the community is somewhat like ROM, fantastic people, fantastic host, comment inducing posts, simply fantastic

  42. Ryandunny says:

Really impressed by Pogba and Tunniclife. They both seem to be two powerful box to box all action midfielders. Will Keane always seems to score too. Larnell Cole seems to be a intelligent player always finding space… Not too convinced about Van Velzen though always seems to be trying too hard.

  43. Saad says:

Ryan Tunnicliffe could be our new Fletcher. I like players who work hard and give their all for their club. We’re an English club and we need bone-crunching, tough-tacklers in our squad.

And Paul Pogba? What I wouldn’t give if he turned out to be as good as Patrick Vieira!

looks like that villa goal from 2 years back

  51. gora says:

dean is an arsenal supporter.should have seen the way he gave the asses every decision

  52. Mancunian says:

its an arabic commentator, they always have bad pronunciation, like RRRony for rooney, skools for scholes, and carrek for carrick .

  53. Costas says:

    Great goal by Kiko.

    Mike Dean is a cunt.

  54. hammons says:

looked like bebe’s goal against wolves in the carling cup ….

it also looked like kiko was play at the city of manchester stadium with all those empty seats.

  55. King Eric says:

Well looks like tunnicliffe is getting plaudits at last. Viva chicarito. Hello mate. I disagree about tunnicliffe. For seventeen the lad is built like a shit house. A proper little hard case. He is bigger built than pogba who needs to fill out but is also strong. Two cracking midfielders. Will keane is different class and tom thorpe is becoming a real centre half. What was with big nosed cunt townsend and abu licking arsenals arse? Talking of fucking quadruples. Its a fucking insult. No other english club will win a treble nevermind quad. Its disrespectful to united for even suggesting this current arsenal shite are anyway near good enough. God nasri gets my back up. There is summat about him I wanna smash. Captain?says it all really. We have vida they have that little ponce. Finally. I know they are through anyway but how dare anyone have the temerity to beat barca three one. Take away puyol and another or so and they are well beatable. It said a twenty nine unbeaten run came to an and. Have they played twenty nine games since the hercules game? Must have.

  56. Doghouse says:

Happy to see Arsenal through. Cup games are hard games, and the more they have on their plate the better. Push comes to shove and we play them, big deal, we’ve had their number for years. Rather have to play that team of lazy softboys that fit in Vida’s pocket than some unpredictable bunch of scrappers playing for their lives.

  57. denton davey says:

Why hasn’t anyone commented on the fact that KikoTheKid used his left foot ?

  58. FloridaManc says:

I was listening to the ESPN Soccernet podcast today and the football editor, John Brewin(who is a Manc) mentioned that Ashley Young to United is as good as done to fund the Bent transfer. Anyone else heard of this? I’m not sure why we would need Young seeing as how we have Nani, Ji, and Valencia on the wings.

  59. Red Devil says:

    @FloridaManc

Yeah…its strange if it is actually going through….would have preferred Alexis Sanchez any day….

  60. Costas says:

    Happy Birthday Hargo.

  61. CedarsDevil says:

Morning all, morning Costas… Why are you always up so early? lol

On the Macheda name, as Mancunian rightly pointed out the commentator is Arabic and they always pronounce CH as CHE just like you would in the word ‘chat’ for example. So our Kiko is rightly pronounced as Makeda….

  62. Costas says:

    @Cedars

Hi mate. Greece is two hours ahead of England, so I was actually up at 9, lol.

I remember the Villa game. The English commentator (not Tyler) was pronouncing it Maseda. Thank God that didn’t stick, lol.

  63. Jeet says:

Off topic, David Gill has been quoted as saying, ” We showed with Wayne Rooney we will pay the appropriate amount to keep players”. So, it wasnt about ambition, or the lack of it, eh? And judging from his form, he seems to have bitten off a size larger than his gullet.

Gill also talks about developing in-house talent, as compared to buying superstars. Honetsly, I would believe that a bit more if we saw more of Fabio and Chicharito.

    http://www.express.co.uk/posts/view/224190/Manchester-United-invest-in-home-talent-

  64. CedarsDevil says:

    Costas

Got me there with the time zone thing! So it seems we are on the same time zone as you guys, we are 2 hours ahead of the UK as well…

In terms of name pronunciation one that really annoys me is Curbishely who insists on calling Vidic ‘Vidik’ and Modric ‘Modrik’ ……. some one needs to enlighten the guy

  65. CedarsDevil says:

    Jeet

I agree with you to a certain extent as I do with Gill as well…. United over the years have hardly ever bought superstars. Yes we have paid key money for players over the years but they cannot be classified as superstars at the time, ala Rooney, Ferdinand, Berbatov etc…. At United we MAKE superstars…Just ask Ronaldo or even the King himself Cantona

  66. Jeet says:

@CedarsDevi: Agreed…I understand that’s the ethos of the club. In recent time though, it also seems to be a component of the business model.

  67. denton davey says:

FloridaManc @ 4:14: “Ashley Young to United is as good as done to fund the Bent transfer. Anyone else heard of this? I’m not sure why we would need Young seeing as how we have Nani, Ji, and Valencia on the wings.”

That dovetails with my guess about the implications of the Bent-transfer to Villa. Ashley Young becomes surplus-to-requirements there – they’ve got Agbonlahor, Downing, and Albrighton to play on the wing. They also have the money “left over” from flogging James Milner to ManShitty; and they have Stephen Ireland – who is, ireckon, a useless asset to anyone but Newcastle or, maybe, Wigan if Wigan sell N’Zogbia and Rodallega to Sunderland.

Back to Ashley Young, I agree with your assessment that his transfer to UTD would be of questionable sense since Nani and Antonio Valencia are superior players – if, of course, Valencia can make a complete recovery. And, UTD have other options for the wing – Fabio, Bebe, and Obertan. Besides, UTD’s real need is to find someone who can “replace” Paul Scholes – of course, no one can “replace” Paul Scholes but maybe SAF can figure out how to add a REAL QUALITY player to his midfield mix.

So, yeah, I don’t get it.

  68. King Eric says:

God I seriously hope we do NOT get Young. He is fucking shite. Sorry some may disagree but he is awful.

  69. denton davey says:

King Eric – I disagree with your over-the-top dismissal of Ashley Young. He’s not “shite” but he’s not excellent enough to dislodge either Nani or Antonio Valencia AND, of course, he’s not what’s needed.

  70. willierednut says:

Ashley Young will probably end up at Liverpool. Average player for an average team.

  71. Jeet says:

King Eric – I agree witht you there. Young, along with Milner and Barry has to be one of the most overrated players . I would rather have Fabio or Obertan playing LW. And why not bring back our Dannyboy?

  72. kk says:

Yes Macheda, keep on working hard. I would like you to come back better and put Mr Ambition in his place
