I remember going to the Cliff on Saturday mornings watching Beckham, Scholes ect . These players are as good just hope they make it

  2. pritch the red says:

    Whats the rowd there

  3. Kings says:

What a great performance from the lads. The more I see of Tunni, the more that I am convinced this guy should be involved in the first team next season. He is a monster of a player. Fucking top drawer. Pogba’s 40 yard spray in the 85th min was an absolute peach of a pass. Top players throughout that team. Well done boys.

  4. willierednut says:

Well done lads. You’ve started this week with a trophy. Lets hope the first team can end the week with a trophy. Onto Wembley we march!

  5. Dazbomber says:

How good was the ref , not often you say that, I agree with kings I hope they get their chance next season

  6. RED_Dakduivel says:

There are some really good players in this youth side. Pogba would top my list, he truly is class but other players like Morisson, Tunni and Will Keane also have the ability to shine in our first team.

Off topic: Scholesy really is going to retire isn’t he? He already wasn’t on the picture for the us/canada tour this summer but I just looked in the official online Utd shop and his name doesn’t appear in the squad list…

For those who haven’t seen the new kit yet:
    http://www.united-latest.com/1/post/2011/05/video-nike-promote-20112012-united-home-kit.html

I think it’s better than the current one, really like the collar!

These would be the away (blue) and the third kit (black):
    http://www.united-latest.com/1/post/2011/05/in-pictures-next-seasons-manchester-utd-home-away-third-kits.html

The black one is a real peach, reminds me of the black 07/08 kit. Hopefully that blue one is fake but really doubt it to be.

  7. Utd4life says:

Congratulations to the Lads for winning the FA Youth Cup..Couple of observations regarding some potential 1st teamers:
Ravel Morrison-Loved watching him play..Got a certain swagger about him..As if he doesn’t give a fuck about anything..has got a bag of tricks and pace, great ball control and a good shot but too cocky, loses focus at times and a bit selfish..Needs to bulk up a bit more and needs to sort his shit out..You are playing for Utd son..Not many lads get such a chance..Don’t screw it up..

Paul pogba-Got great technical skill, range of passing is good and has a thunderbolt of a shot..Goal scoring CM in the mould of Scholesy..proper physique..

Ryan Tunnicliffe aka Young Keano-powerhouse CM in the mould of Keano..amazing workrate and a good range of passing and is very unselfish..likes to get stuck in, doesn’t shy away from tackles..we got a great box to box mid in the making..

Will Keane-a calm, composed CF..Very intelligent and smart player..lacks pace but makes up for it with his keen positional awareness..Needs to bulk up big time if he wants to make it at Utd..Definitely one for the future..

I think the likes of Ryan, ravel and Pogba will feature prominently in the CC matches..I wouldn be surprised if SAF decides to throw them in the deep end..I’m not saying they are the real deal but with guidance from the coaches and SAF..we got one hell of a Midfield in the making..the future is red, the future is Manchester United..

  8. lawman10 says:

The future looks to be in good hands, there is a few who could make the 1st team.
    well done lads

  9. YorYor says:

Good goals, wonder how this will change SAF’s approach in terms of signings in the summer.
I hope the young ones get a chance. The earlier they start, they more the experience rubs off, especially when it’s probably the last year that they’ll get to play with Giggs and Scholes.

  10. FletchTHEMAN says:

Exceptional game from all involved. Sheffield did themselves proud, team and fans.
United quality there in abundance. Morrison, Pogba, Tunnicliff, Keane especially. But really top sift from the entire team.

Class of ’92, Well class was all in nappies in their mummies tummies in ’92. Must be the pram team of ’93. Smashing size on all of them as well. Really pleased.

Man United Man United, Ole Ole Ole!!!!

  11. rooneyisclass says:

    Morrison is awesome!

  12. willierednut says:

I don’t think this will affect potential signings. It’s food for thought though. I’d like to see the lads gradually introduced to the first team/squad. Starting with Carling cup games. Exciting times ahead.

  13. Toby says:

    What was the attendance?

  14. kabir lawal says:

i tink this setup remind me of beckam.gigs .scholes.keep it up boys

  15. Warwick says:

The future looks good – The future looks red!

  16. MG says:

    Breaking News:

Sheikh Mansour congratulates city youngsters for win FA youth cup win

“They are the future of this club”

Summerbee: The shining lights of manchester city – the pivotal rocks of the foundation of manchester city football club”

Mancini ” They will be important when we show everybody how we win trophies without buying players”

    Tevez: “Morrison will be huge”

Er this is Jeff – sorry I think we have a communication breakdown – it was in fact Manchester United youths that won the FA cup.

Sheikh Summerbee Mancini Tevez all look horrified

  17. YorYor says:

willierednut, I know, I just wish Pogba and Tunnicliffe’s given a chance to fight for their place in the squad. Pogba’s physique makes him more than suitable to start taking the rough and tough in the PL.
    He’s already 18, turning 19 no?

  18. MG says:

    Chuffed to bits

19 is history they are the future

    We stand United

    Now for Barca.

The shirt is a symbol of unparalleled and unequalled defiance

    19

  19. mikekelly12 says:

Evening all. Just got back from OT. Thought we started well then dropped off midway through the first half. Stepped it up in the second half. All the usual suspects played like they have most of the season. Pogba showed his class in glimpses. However, I think a special mention should go to the skipper Tom Thorpe, I thought he was immense at the back! Well done boys! This is why United are so special, we create stars!

  20. scan74 says:

    well done boys

fingers crossed the judge gives ravel a break in the week and he learns the fuckin lesson

hope some of the boys break through good bunch

  21. KevScott says:

Some of these lads are amazing! I really worry about Ravel, such a class act but he cant keep his gob shut, he could be a part of the future of our club but he needs to realise where he is

  22. I AM NOT A MAN says:

Pogba really looked a bit special I thought and Morrison too.

I hope Morrison doesnt get sent down on Wednesday when he is up for assault and criminal damage.

  23. Rai says:

Kings- Tunni is a beast mate he should be given his chance.

Kings, King Eric and anyone – who’s going to Wembley?

  24. Costas says:

Well done lads! What a red week it’s been!

  25. FletchTHEMAN says:

Nice article on Wigan that puts in a nice plug for Tom Cleverley. Good to see Tom come on for the final 30 minutes and help Wigan stay up.

  26. vidic is titanium says:

absolutely brilliant scott. not a mention of giggs private life anywhere on the site. perfect. i dont give a fuck about who is going out with. stick to the football. love it and keep it up. if any of the united players are involved in some sort of controversy off the pitch, to do with who they are shagging or whatever else, please lets just ignore it because people on this site are football fans, not a bunch of gossips. injunction or no injunction, blanket bans on media shite is welcome. i come here for a break from all the bullshit so please keep it up scott.

  27. Kings says:

Rai – Hello mate, yeah he’s quality. With regards to tickets mate, King Eric got lucky. I’m still working on it.

  28. Rai says:

Kings – I’m going without a ticket. Gonna go to the Torch for pre match drinks then heard it’s closing at kick off…so gotta find another pub! My family had 8 season tickets, went home and away in Europe and every home League game..:and in the ballot only got one ticket!! Mission impossible in some cases…

  29. Tomo1982 says:

Thought Larnell Cole looked really lively off the bench, Tunnicliffe was great second half and Pogba showed moments of class. Think he needs to work a bit harder off the ball and get stronger in the tackle for a centre mid but I’m sure that will come, definitely potential in this team, exciting times

  30. FletchTHEMAN says:

Fergie just won the LMA Manager of the year to add to Barclays award yesterday.
He also received a special Merit Award from Barclays. Well done Sir Alex

  31. lukemallia says:

Keane scored a great goal really composed finish, definetly should keep an eye out for him

Pogba played a couple of defence splitting passes which were sublime but his energy levels ran out towards the end

Ravel Morrisson has bags of skill and undoubted EPL ability but unless he sorts out his temperament he’s not gonna make it, got involved in a few needless scuffles, cant see him being sent out on loan for experience..SAF is gonna wanna keep an eye out on him

  32. Tomo 1982 says:

    Anyone know the official attendance?

  33. King Eric says:

Kings. Hello mate. Yeah great performance again especially second half. Yeah cannot wait to see Ryan breakthrough. A proper little hard case and box to box midfielder. Some lung bursting runs and some crunching tackles again but he was a bit quieter than usual I thought although him and Pogba bossed it. Some great play from Pogba tonight. Morrison is fucking quality. A real natural talent. As long as he stays out of trouble he can go all the way. Tom thorp also a classy defender and Will Keane a natural finisher. I love watching this team. Top drawer midfield ,solid at the back and devastating going forward. Even rednev says they are the best he has seen in years. A real buzz about them.

Anyway mate have you seen Mancini, Kidd and Kompany giving it large and saying how this tainted FA Cup is the first of many? Fucking arrogant cunts.

  34. denton davey says:

I’m recovering from laset surgery – on the right eye. So, I had the time to take a one-eyed view of these kids.

Paul Pogba looks the pick of the litter – a man among boys alghouth it’s often guys with this early physical development who peak early. Still, he has fantastic skill.

Ravel Morrison is a bag of tricks and plays at a high tempo – his character/termprament is questionable – you could see his “laziness” in the game” on a couple of occasions when he lolly-gagged with the ball and was dispossessed – but I’m hoping that he can grow up and grab this opportunity to really-and-truly change his life.

Ryan Tunnicliffe justified the huge priaise from King Eric and others.

I’m not sold on Will Keane who will, I think, have difficulty when he faces bigger, better defenders.

As for the others, well, it’s a pity that Jesse Lingard and Larnell Cole are so small; the Dutch kid, Van Velzen, deserves a shout although he wasn’t very good today – he was much better in the frist leg of this tie which I watched when I was being “prepped” for surgery. (Ahem !)

Sheffiield had one eye-opening performer – # 10, Slew (?), he looks to have a readl future.

  35. whitefieldred says:

can anyone view these videos? im having trouble

  36. YorYor says:

@Rai, just proved who the most important man at the club is.
As long as Evra made the right decision, it doesn’t matter anymore. No public spat, no behind-the-back negotiations. That’s a proper United footballer who respects the club I say.

  37. Rai says:

YorYor – I love Pat to bits..but seemed like all those rumours last year were true about him going to the Virus. Not goin to slate him…just disappointed the gaffer had to convince him to stay. Been a great week for us and a big few days ahead…could do without any negative headlines from an MP or the players!

  38. Berbgreaves says:

Apologies if this has been posted already/elsewhere but our jersey(s) for next season were announced around midnight:

    http://www.united-latest.com/1/post/2011/05/video-nike-promote-20112012-united-home-kit.html

  39. Berbgreaves says:

Crap. As I said, apologies. Espec to RED_Dakduivel in this case.

  40. sandeep1878 says:

sorry to pick this up here..

can anybody explain what the fuck is happening with Giggsy? :(

we dont need this crap shit before a UCL final..

somebody explain me this coz i have failed to..

  41. slim says:

    @sandeep1878

Well we have the MP in the house of commons who opened his big mouth to thank for that. Papers and media houses have so much power these days its ridiculous, saw a story on sky news where an MP said the NOTW editor admitted to him that they pay Police officers for information and that they would continue to do so, even thought its illegal. This is the same press the whole fucking social media community is fighting for. Hooray, Its was Giggs, he was the footballer who cheated on his wife. Okay, now what? The whole thing is a joke, a fucking joke. He got his “freak” on big deal. I hope the story has dragged on long enough for the papers not to make any money off it, but i’m sure ms. Thomas will come out with a few juicy details and it’ll start all over again.

  42. slim says:

quick question to the lads and lasses who live in Manchester, how was the bus parade man shitty organised, any good?

  43. slim says:

gotta add that i’m smirking behind my computer screen at that question lol. Those fuckers will see what a parade looks like when we beat diva-lona on saturday. Come on you REDS!! Beli19e.

  44. T4M says:

    Well done!

  45. sandeep1878 says:

    @ Slim..

when they see the red parade, they will understand the difference again..

we will show them how a parade looks like..

i m in India but i saw the pics in papers, during the parade there are more city players than fans :P

    ############

about Giggsy, just not the right time again, fuck it..

    fletch is ready for final..

  46. T4M says:

On the Giggs’ thingy,I really don’t give a fuck.It only confirms to me that he’s human which I doubts over with his performances at 37 ;) .I hope he still gets knighted.

  47. gazzer says:

Fletch didn’t look ready to me at the weekend. He needs to get his full fitness back. With Rooney dropping back more and Park and Valencia working hard I think we can make up for him

  48. Devil310 says:

Hello fellow Reds….this videos don’t work…they might have been taken down….do any of you have any other links?

  51. Dre.FU= Forever United says:

Will Keane also showing fantastic composure for the second. The lads are amazing well done to them.

Hopefully their ready for some first team games next season, and not just in the carling/fa cup. I would love to see a couple of them go on loan till January, or get at least 15 mins towards the end of a game.

Either way the future’s bright… the futures orange…

    I mean RED!!! haha

  52. Sam says:

Whilst a number of people on here have said that they don’t care about what Giggs does in his private life (which is fair enough, as long as he’s still performing on the pitch then it’s largely irrelevant), but it’s clearly hugely embarrassing for the club. They have put Giggs on a pedestal, as an example not just for the younger players at the club to follow but for any young player aspiring to make it in football to follow.

Fergie has portrayed Giggs as being someone who embodies everything that is great about United, and you have to imagine that he will be furious about this story. Giggs, of all people, I still can’t believe it! I wonder if it will affect the team selection for Saturday. I would’ve thought Giggs was a certainty to start. I’m sure he’s professional enough not to let it affect him but you have to think that Fergie will at least have thought about dropping him.

  53. rnicolas says:

Giggsy can shag who he wants, he will get a knighthood for his services. FML, the man has more more trophies than 90% of the clubs in england.

  54. CedarsDevil says:

Well done to the young lads, what a week for the club…. Bloody love it

  55. CedarsDevil says:

Speaking of Giggs, I have read some silly comments… Some saying they lost respect for him… Since when have we been made judges of morals? ‘Let he who is with out sin cast the first stone’ comes to mind…

We love and support our players for what they do on the pitch and not for being saints. We have no idea about the players’ private lives nor is it our business.

George Best (RIP) who in my opinion is our best ever player shagged every woman alive in his time… Do I love or respect him less, hell no…

    Grow up people

  56. Ash says:

Great stuff young boys.People talk about tunni, morrison and pogba as the biggest bright stars but i will add will keane. He is a natural goal scorer.Reminds me of young michael owen.Poor john cofie who was injured in the season. He is another great striker.
I won’t be a one bit surprised if this young crop turns out to be better than the 92 crop.We could easily get 7-8 players from this crop.Larnell cole looks like a better version of lenon.Fornaiser(The defender) Looks great.I love italian defender’s.Thorpe is also excellent.Even the keeper Sam johnston(Sry about the spelling) looks good.
Then there are young Brazilians who have reportedly joined us.
The future is bright the future is RED.

  57. CedarsDevil says:

John Hemming must feel like a real hero now, what an achievement. Most of them MP’s are corrupt and would shag or get shagged by anything that walks….

  58. De_Roiste says:

Congrats to SAF too.. LMA awarded for the third time!

Last two times he won it (1999, 2008) we also won the CL… Omen!? I hope so!

  59. sachu says:

    good morning all

  60. catotraa says:

There’s something about Morrison, the way he handles the ball and takes on players, that remind me more about a certain George Best than anyone I’ve seen in a long, long time. And, his record of field also can compare, lol. But really, hope he gets his shit sorted out and realizes what a unique chance he’s got.

  61. CedarsDevil says:

Not sure why but my gut feeling tells me that Owen will come on and win us the CL on Saturday in a dramatic finish…. Mind you, it would not be a United win if it was not dramatic !

    Morning sachu

  62. dela says:

    Morning everyone.

Great article to get my day started. Citeh win a trophy for the first time in my lifetime and their own players don’t feel like attending the parade.

    http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2011/may/23/mario-balotelli-absent-manchester-city-parade

Last night’s game was terrific. I can’t help but feel that Pogba and Morrison need to get their attitudes sorted out, as talented as they are, while Will Keane needs to beef up a bit.

Tunnicliffe on the other hand looks first team material already.

  63. GHred says:

    good morning all
i’m sure Giggs will play. like cedarsdevil said, we don’t adore footballers cos they are faithful to their wives or anything of de sort. if they do it’s a bonus, but we luv them cos of wat they do on the pitch.
and it will be the wish of the ABUs to hype this as much as they can so it affects Giggs and the team. but SAF will need and want him to play regardless.
and does anyone else think SAF will play Valencia at RB and Nani on the RW?

  64. GHred says:

    @cedars, hello mate.
also got that feeling but the reality is owen might even not make the bench at all. :-(
i think the bench will be kusczak, rafael, evans/smalling, fletcher, ando/scholes and berba.
    that’ll be sad won’t it?

  65. knightsmith says:

    What was the attendance please?

  66. CedarsDevil says:

Somebody please give him the attendance !! lol

  67. Red Simmo says:

    attendance [əˈtɛndəns]
    n
    1. the act or state of attending
    2. the number of persons present
    3. Obsolete attendants collectively; retinue

    Hope this helps :-)

  68. denton davey says:

Catrotraa @ 7:18: “There’s something about Morrison, the way he handles the ball and takes on players, that remind me more about a certain George Best ”

    Whoa !

If Morrison was as good as some people seem to think then he’d already be in the first team.

Ravel Morrison is good but let’s not get carried away. Never forget – Maradona good, Pele better, Georgie Best !

  69. Giles Oakley says:

The day City win their first trophy for 35 years, United clinch their record-breaking 19th title.

The day City secure 3rd place in the league, their highest ever placing in the Premiership giving them automatic qualification for the Champions Lge, United win their final match of the season, remaining unbeaten at home, equalling the record for points gained at home in a season, and also ensuring their lead at the top of the table is 9 points.

The day City hold their FA Cup celebration (skipped by Ballotelli….) United win the FA Youth Cup for a record tenth time.

I wonder what City will be doing on Saturday.

  70. King Eric says:

denton – Hello mate. Its not a case of as good as “some people SEEM to think”. Morrison is that good. A fantastic talent who lest we forget has been in the first team and got a couple of minutes against Wolves at just 17.

  71. North Stand Tier 2 says:

Watched the game and it actually wasnt a great performance from Utd, but it is a final, so you cant always play your best in these types of games.

Thought Tunnicliffe did really well, and I was very impressed with Will Keane. He looks like a very good front man, strong, good in the air, quick feet and a great finisher. His second goal was brilliant, and he was unlucky not to get a third.

Thought Morrison and Pogba were slightly disappointing, in terms of they werent involved in the game that much. But Morrison really looks like a match winner, winning the penalty and scoring two goals, the second one a cracker. I guess it doesnt matter if he is out the game if he pops up with 2 goals and an assist.

Pogba was really in and out of the game, especially in the first half, and having not seen too much of him I was expecting someone a bit stronger in the tackle. But on a couple of occassions he did some fantastic things, turning in the middle of the park and laying a perfect ball through to Morrisson who should have scored. Was also a bit unlucky with his first free kick in the first half.

All in all, well done to the lads. A great season for them, and even not playing brilliantly yesterday, still winning 4-1 on the night – typical Utd, and good to see the winning mentality is running all the way through the club.
