Great win to end the tour, thought the young lads ran them self’s silly.

  2. peposhi says:

lots of great play from the lads!

  3. Red Devil says:

Great work out for the lads, good prep for the Community shield and the Premier league ahead.

Cleverly didn’t look out of place at all. Ok there was no Xavi or Messi, but still busquets and Iniesta and Pedro and Villa were there…so its no mean feat. And Danny Welbeck did himself no harm at all with that performance..

    Great Start to the morning!

  4. gazzer says:

I LOVED the way the Barca fans started with their Ole Ole shit just as Cleverly (?) stole the ball and Owen got the second goal. Just like that, and the Ole’s stopped!!!!!

  5. waro says:

Good game for Wellbeck, needs a better killer instinct though. A.Young needs to deliver, Nani was starting to get something good, Cleverly show some promising, De Gea also had good game, good concentration aside Thiago goal. Our defenders was good but without against player who has good dribble like Messi. Hopefully this is not a peak performance, especially at midfield which I presume Sir Alex will start Carrick and Giggs/Anderson, which for me one of the weakest midfield for the last 20 years.

  6. David de gea says:

Great great performance from us today, sir dr alex ferguson is da best

  7. willierednut says:

    You played well David^

  8. Manchuchu says:

    All Haul Derr Cleverley.

    Sneijder who?

  9. newton heath red says:

wow the majority of the crowd looked to be red, good to see!

  10. mikekelly12 says:

We were around them like a rash when they had the ball, great work out for the boys. Loved Wellbecks take and turn when he got his shot off towards the end at 1-0.

  11. mikekelly12 says:

81,000 plus watching! City can only dream of crowds like that!!!

  12. smartalex says:

David de gea must be using Google translate.

  13. Utd4life says:

@Waro..Take it easy on the youngsters mate..The youngsters put in great performances albeit with flaws but they will get better as they get more games..

  14. heinnlinn says:

On a seperate note, West Brom signed Foster on a loan.

I thought Kuszczak was going to West Brom? Or is he staying at United after all? Or maybe he’s going somewhere else. Would be funny to see Foster and Kuszczak fighting for a place at West Brom though.

  15. mikekelly12 says:

Michael Owens finish was epic. If he, Rooney, Lil Pea and berba are like that next season which i can only expect they will be, we will have no problem keeping the trophiy which is rightfully ours. Good to hear Sneijder is interested. I hope he doesn’t get tempted from shitttyyyy’s eniment offer which will happen whether you like it or not.(we offer £35m they will offer £35.1m because they are the sadest club on the planet). Lets hope he goes for glory instead of goons!

  16. Sparkz says:

Was very impressed with Nani and Welbeck, thought they were outstanding, our best players by a country mile. Really pleased about that, coz its a big season for both of them- Nani needs to improve even more on last season and Welbeck needs to break into the side.

Vidic and Evans were also excellent at the back- couple of dodgy moments at the end for Evans but overall he was rock solid, will have done him the world of good.

Cleverly was the one I was most interested in- thought he was poor in the first half, but second half he was superb, both defensively and going forward. Great energy and pass for the goal, and Owen (who’d barely touched the ball all half!)- showing just why we’ve given him a new contract.

Disappointing aspects were Fabio and Young who both looked off the pace, as did Rooney. Overall it was a good workout though…not gonna read too much into the fact that its Barca, coz its pre season and they had players missing….but no denying that we looked extremely solid, De Gea didn’t have much to, we were very disciplined defensively.

  17. Chica Chicha says:

Too bad Berba didn’t get a few mins of game time.
Nani looks to be well prepared for the new season.
Young seems over-awed by the occasion. Too many misplaced passes and crosses.
Should have been 3-1 if Owen didn’t fluff a sitter near the end.
Oh well, a win is a win and a good psychological boost for the new season.
    BRING ON SHITTY NEXT WEEK!!
    We’re gonna cobble them.

  18. King Eric says:

Waro. What are you talking about? It seems this “weakest midfield for twenty years “ is a cliche regurgitated by folk who can’t think for themselves. No pleasing some people.

  19. King Eric says:

Think some need to give young just a tad more time. He has been here about four weeks. It takes some time to adapt.

Its all very well saying Barca had players missing , which I am sure Sky will hammer home that point but so did United. They had six from the final we had only three

  20. Sparkz says:

On a related note- I posted this in another thread a few weeks ago, and tonight seems like a good time to discuss it.

If we do face Barca next season, I really hope SAF doesn’t go gung ho and play 2 strikers again…..but if he does, I’d pick Welbeck to partner Rooney ahead of any of our other strikers. Purely because for that particular opposition, he’s a much better option than any of the others. He’s essentially a cross between Berba and Hernandez- he can hold the ball up like Berba, but also has the speed to threaten Barca’s high defensive line i.e Hernandez. He’ll cause them far more problems than anybody else.

We’ve missed that type of player since Saha IMO. Someone who gives us that physical presence up front, whilst at the same time, he knows how to play football as well (i.e he’s not an Emile Heskey type player who’s JUST a physical presence!)

  21. Sparkz says:

King Eric- I’d agree. He was off colour tonight, but I’ve said before that I think Young will be a quality addition, his stats over the last few years speak for themselves. Gives us a lot of variety and flexibility in the forward line.

And I remember just a few short years ago when we had the likes of Djemba Djemba, Kleberson and Miller in the middle of the park, so please spare me this myth about our midfield. Nobody’s gonna say its the strongest midfield we’ve had…..but a Premier League + a CL Final tells me that they weren’t as bad as people like to make out. You don’t have a season like that with a terrible engine room- it’s just not possible.

  30. Red_Devil_In_DC says:

I was at the game! it was glorious. actually, my first time seeing the boys live, a birthday present from the fiance.

first off: crowd was about evenly matched. knowing DC, i expected a heavy barca crowd. Was not the case! United fans showed up and made themselves heard. Really wish some of them knew the songs, but let’s face it, it’s no old trafford. it’s fucking fedex field, home of the fucking asshat redskins.

anywho, it was a treat watching the team warm up. rooney chipping shots to far post, the da silva twins giving each other one-twos, the rest of the squad playing keep-away in a circle. This may seem simple or normal to some of you brits, but to me (who has loosely followed the team since 96, when i was 14, or so, really closely since 02), this simple warmup routine really made my day. again, this was my first time seeing them play live. the countless games ive watched on tv, getting up at 7 or 8 am here in the states. To see them play (and beat!) barca of all teams was such a great evening.

nani goal was brilliant, as was the owen goal. I’ll give barca credit, their goal was a jaw-dropper. out of nowhere. welbeck had a great evening. as did cleverly. such class and such young men! owen showed that he’s stil got it. surprisingly, i feel johnny evans had a good night (!?). smalling and the da silva twins are the future of our backline. cannot stress how great welbeck, cleverly, and de gea played. really excited about united’s younger members. smalling was great as well. i really wish i’d gotten the chance to see berbatov, ferdinand, and park play. would have really made my birthday. ah well. a great evening. cannot wait to do it again.

last thought: according to ESPN.com, the crows was mostly barca, chanting the team name well before the match. ESPN is a bunch of morons, i was there and that definitely was not the case. the barca chants would last about a minute, to end up being drowned out by united chants. then again, ESPN is the same station that has steve mcmanananananan and ian darkfuckbrains as commentators. should have known they’re a bunch of ABU’s anyway,

    GGMU

  31. Samuel - united WE stand says:

i’ve said it and i’ll repeat it, nani is the best winger at the club and he is proving it, i couldn’t believe some considered swooping him for sneijder which was a ridiculous idea, nani has the high technical abilities to elevate to world class category, time will tell if he does but he definitely is capable of it

  32. Samuel - united WE stand says:

People may say friendly games like this against barca don’t matter, it don’t but the confidence/Experience the likes of cleverly, welbeck and all the young up and coming stars will gain from this particular game is invaluable, they must feel like they can step up to the highest possible level.

  33. Neil says:

Not trying to pass myself off as being the most knowledgable supporter around or anything close to that, because I’m far from it, but before or during matches some serious cunts appear on this blog (specifically Mark among others) who seem to think that they know more than Fergie about selecting a team or who is worthy of playing for United or not. Yes, I have my selfish desires to see a flashy signing like Sneijder but who the fuck am I to question Fergie if that doesn’t happen? I’m nobody, which is why you won’t hear me bitch and moan about anything he does or doesn’t do.

For Christ’s sake, how many fucking trophies must the man win for us to make people just shut the fuck up and blindly accept that he knows what he’s doing and we should just trust that he’s going to do the best job possible? People should realize how good we have it, that the man knew what he was doing when he let that Argie troll Tevez leave because he was a fucking diva. He knows talent, just accept that the people we have are fucking quality and shut the fuck up. It was less than two months ago we lifted the cup for the 19th time and people still think they know better than the manager. Idiots!

  34. rucien says:

@waro would swap carrick or ando for thiago anytime

  35. Jamaican Red Devil says:

On the importance of strengthening in central midfield SAF had this to say: “It’s crucial because with Paul Scholes retiring and Darren Fletcher still recovering from his virus it’s an area we have to find a solution for. Tom Cleverley, physically, isn’t the strongest lad but he’s wily and he has a great idea of the game. He’s a good footballer and I thought he was our best player tonight. His discipline was terrific, he’s a good passer, he has good eyes… He’s a big possibility to start for us at the start of the season.”

quote taken from the official website in his post match press conference http://www.manutd.com/en/Tour-2011/Tour-2011-News/2011/Jul/Sir-Alex-pleased-after-beating-Barca.aspx?pageNo=1

I don’t know about u guys, but I’m excited for a couple of reasons 1 because he admits that our midfield needs strengthening and that Cleverly in his eyes was the best player for United tonight….

  36. Daniel says:

Great game and great win. All our players did well. Was very impressed with De Gae and really love Nani who I think is MOM. Welbeck, Smalling and Jones were very very good. Two excellent goals by Nani and Owen. Really enjoyed the match

@kel – it wasn’t even the fact that nani was off form that they wanted him out but they want him out desperately to sign sneijder which would be a big blunder, anyway i look forward to what levels he takes his game this season.@kel – it wasn’t even the fact that nani was off form that they wanted him out but they want him out desperately to sign sneijder which would be a big blunder, anyway i look forward to what levels he takes his game this season.

  42. King Eric says:

Neil. Hello mate. Absolutely spot on. Seems the cunts don’t listen though. Just check out the post immediately under yours. Rucien would swap so and so for Thiago. Fuck off you miserable cunt. They make me sick. They have no idea of support.

Samuel. Hello mate. I would have to say Nani is just about if not world class already. He is the best winger in Europe never mind at United.

  43. King Eric says:

Just watched second half again. Just how good is de geas distribution and kicking.

  44. King Eric says:

Jamaican red devil. Thanks for that link pal. Great quote from Fergie on Cleverley.

Smalling is a beast of a player now and Phil Jones looks likes he has been at the club five years. Very exciting times ahead. Fergie does it again.

  45. Balaji Sivaraman says:

@King Eric, I was wondering the same thing when I was watching the match yesterday. Like I said, with him in-between our posts, it “almost’ feels like Van Der Sar never left. You can see the amount of work our scouts have put in to make sure the replacement has all the right qualities that made his predecessor so good. For his age, the calmness he displays with the ball at his feet is immense. Whenever I’ve seen him play – not only for us – he has never panicked even once. Another plus is his decision making – obviously, so far we’ve been able to see very little of that, but what I’ve seen is very good. Also, he seems to be one of those sharp goalkeepers with a great reflex which is essential because he is going to spend a lot of time just taking goal kicks for us.

There was one time when he tried to release Owen yesterday – and almost did if not for a Barca interception – that had me convinced that goalkeeping will not be a problem in the coming season. Not to mention Lindegaard is no slouch either and he is going to put in every effort to make sure he can be our No.1 which is fine by me.

  46. Costas says:

The midfield situations looks to be better than I thought if Fletcher (who’s actually heavier now than before the virus) returns to his best and Tom carries this form onto the season. What I find really ironic is the obvious contrast between out options in attack and at full back. I hope Rafa is ok, because sadly, we can’t rely on JOS anymore.

  47. King Eric says:

Balaji. Spot on mate. It was that release to Owen that almost got through that prompted me to post. Eric steele has been following him since his appearances in the under seventeen euros.

Costas. Hello mate. Oh is that right? Fletcher is bigger than ever. Great to hear. I can’t stress enough how important Fletch is for us. he literally bosses the midfield in any game. Particularly the big games.

Keep seeing lines like “we missed out on Thiago“. Great young player but how the fuck have we missed out? He is a barca youth graduate. Its not like he was born in Manchester and we released him. Fuck sake.

  48. Costas says:

    @KIng Eric

Morning mate. Yeah there was a recent Fletcher interview where he discussed the virus. I can’t find it now. He said that he was getting over it and he was actually heavier than before. But he also said that it’s not just muscle. I think that was the plan for him. To bulk him up and then start getting him in shape again. Hopefully he will be completely ready by early September, because we have plenty of big games early in the season and like you said, he’s crucial in those.

  49. Balaji Sivaraman says:

@Costas, That is amazing news regarding Fletcher. Fletch is one of those players like Park. Because of the amount of work he puts in, people rarely notice just how good of a player he is technically. If we can get Fletcher back to full fitness and form, it will be a new signing for us. Period. Like the time when we got Keano back after his layoff. I am feeling better now.

As I keep saying, my love affair with the Sneijder arrival is for different reasons ( ;) ). This pre-season has me convinced that we’ll be able to cope well enough even if we don’t sign anyone. But I am still worried about what a few injuries can do to our mid-field. That is why I keep saying it need not be Sneijder, but anyone just to fill in the numbers there.

Also, boy, I don’t think you are “ever” going to get over O’Shea’s sale, are you? :P

  50. FletchTHEMAN says:

Hello all. Really pleased at the result. Shows that our team has so much more depth than Barca.
Wouldn’t trade any of our B team for theirs at the moment. First 11 they line up well. But is we score first I rather fancy our chances. It is our youngsters that need to have the confidence to beat anyone. Nani, Cleaverly, and Wellbeck all rock solid. De Gae impressed again, as did a very youthful back 4 through most of the match. Think Evans was quiet confidence and that was very good to see. Great to see us breaking strong from a solid defense. Love to see more of that.

  51. scan74 says:

Gd win and a gd performance Micky owen looked sharped so far 3 goal of the tour can still finish that fella just needs a bit of game time will still bag u a goal

  52. T4M says:

    Welbeck impressed me.

  53. Costas says:

    The said Fletcher interview:

    http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/scotland/14339036.stm

    @Balaji

Lol, I’ll get over it mate. As soon as we buy another full back. ;) To be honest, I didn’t like seeing Smalling at riught back. The guy is a natural succesor for Rio. He shouldn’t be wasted on the right.

  54. FletchTHEMAN says:

    @Costas
Rather looks like the boss is testing whether we need another full back. I agree we look a man short, but if we could give Smalling Evans and Jones more games by tossing them in at FB, maybe that would speed their development. Jones has been especially impressive to me, but has alot to learn.

What did you think of De Gae. Well pleased but only had a couple real tests. Still, that is what it is all about as a United keeper.

  55. feedemscraps says:

Great finish from the Welsh midget.
@ Costas, know what you mean regarding Smalling, but the team has always had, in recent times anyway, players who can play in several positions. Therefore less worry when injuries happen.

  56. Costas says:

    @FletchTHEMAN

Personally, I’d prefer it if Jones and Evans were out utility players in defence. Because like I said, when Rio is missing, Smalling is the best player to fill in for him imo. As for De Gea, I didn’t watch a lot of the game, so I can’t say for sure. He looked pretty comfortable from what I saw. However, since Linde hasn’t done a lot wrong, I wouldn’t be too surprised if he started at Wembley next weekend.

    @feedemscraps

That’s true. And we will need versatile players more than ever now that O’Shea and Brown are gone. I just feel that versatile players tend to be good in 2-3 positions, but never great in just one. So that’s why I’d prefer it if Smalling just played in one.

  57. h williams says:

shame we could do that when it mattered in the final

  58. Warwick says:

Wonder if Sneijder was watching his future club beat Barcelona.
    Also, well done young guns!

  59. Warwick says:

Also pleased that this win stops barca being a bogey team – we CAN beat them!

  60. ibrahim muhammed says:

  65. Samuel - united WE stand says:

King eric – i agree, you get some overrated wingers in other teams who are called world class but nani is brilliant end of, he is improving more and more and he rarely goes missing in big games, he is a match winner and you can’t have enough of those.

  66. Samuel - united WE stand says:

@costas – didn’t sir alex deny ever giving sneijder an ultimatum? its Bullshit from daily fail again.

  67. bobbycharlie1968 says:

So glad we won, nice goals too, only a friendly but we can beat Barca and I think it might have meant a bit more to the lads than any other friendly. Great way to finish a good pre season, roll on the bitter cunts at Wembley!

Again though, it is time for some ranting.

I do fucking hate Barca, didn’t see the match but I was watching Abidal or whoever the fuck it was playing Nani onside for the first goal and they just casually started jogging forward with hand in air almost certain that because they are “Bartha” they would get the offside decision. Christ, the self entitlement they think they deserve…I can’t even describe how fucking atrocious it is. The diving we all know about, we’ve seen that McVities cheating biscuit fall around play acting enough times to know. We know about how they surround the referee, as if to say “how dare you let someone tackle a Barthalona player, how dare you allow them to corrupt our aura, he must leave the field of play and meditate upon ancient texts such as ‘La Masia, A Guide to becoming a Cheating Wanker’ and ‘Bartha – More than a club, we’re also a bunch of cheats’, send him off and allow us to keep the ball in a boring yet exceptional manner the world has never seen for the rest of the game.” I’m fucking fed up of that shite, let’s keep the ball for 80 mins, but do fuck all with it. Certain games are the exception, painfully the European Cup final to an extent. But I’m glad that we play the United way. Direct, beautiful attacking football which is far more exciting to watch than that tiki taka fucking shit. The whole club infuriates me. I couldn’t care less where Fabregas ends up. He’s a good player but a cunt, like Nasri, but I actually can’t help but feel sorry for Arsenal in this situation. With the Bartha board throwing around casual comments about him left right and centre, I know every manager has been guilty of it, but the way they do it is disgraceful. They act as if he is a prisoner of a rugby team. Aren’t Arsenal called the Bartha of England? That’s not saying much because they win fuck all but he’s hardly rotting in the reserves at Stoke is he? That is a real prison. He’s the captain of a club that play attacking, yet utterly useless, football. Which according to Cesc the cunt himself, is the only way to play football. Anything else is rugby. And they think because they won La Liga they are a superb team. Christ almighty, have you seen the overall quality of that league? That’s why they don’t need a good squad, they have the easiest games in the league and then save their “untouchables” (yeah fucking right, I wouldn’t want to touch Xavi’s greasy hair either) for Europe. When I say Tenerife your first thoughts are probably, I could fly there with easyjet and get a hotel for 20 quid, not oh, that’s the home of the legendary Tenerife F.C (sorry, we’re in Spain, C.F). I’d love to see them try and compete over here. And I’m not talking about your wet Wednesday night at Stoke with thunder and lightning and Harry Redknapps atrocious face haunting the players, I’m talking competitiveness over the course of a season. They haven’t got the squad, they’d finish 3rd or 4th even. But of course I am wrong however. Bartha are the best. The sun shines out of they’re massive collective arsehole. So all of this is apparently tripe. I dared insult “the best team in the world”. To quote the ever smarmy Richard Keys, Yeah, do me a favour love.

  68. CedarsDevil says:

    bobbycharlie1968

Another great rant! I am sort getting addicted to them now… Keep em coming mate, quality stuff

  69. captaink9 says:

We are looking fantastic. We don’t need a midfield, we have more than enough in the squad.
Owen’s finish was excellent shows one on one he will put it in the net with ease. Few on here calling for new players and swapping players plus get rid of him and him. No we have a great squad, we already lost Nev, VDS, Scholes, O’Shea, Brown.
    Love United….. 20

  70. Costas says:

    @Samuel

Yeah, that’s what the link I posted today was about. Fergie denying the ultimatum.

  71. Mikael says:

I think it was a good game against a kinda weak Barca but we didn’t have a complete first 11 out there either.

De Gea has great distribution and calmnes on the ball which is really important. Everytime that PIG has the ball by his feet he looks scared shitless!

Young had a ok game I think, can’t see any reason to critisise him whatsoever.

Welbeck should be at worst 4′th choise striker this season. If Berba was to leave then we’ll be fine but I love the “lazy” fuck.

Cleverly has tremendous potential and is showing some great vision and skill, he can be really imortant this season.

Nani was crazy today, he has had a superb pre-season. Hope he carries it with him into the start of the season!

Hope all is alright with Rafael! As Costas mentioned we look a bit thin with natural fullbacks.

  72. gazzer says:

One thing I found highly encouraging in the first half was seeing Nani and Anderson continue to get ambushed by multiple Barca players and dribble and pass their way out of it. We weren’t really able to do this against them in the last two CL finals. This seriously disrupts their pressing game and by getting the ball to our attackers more forces Barca defenders to be more honest.

(When I say honest, I don’t mean it in the sense that Busquets is a dishonest cheating fucker)

  73. Sparkz says:

Nani’s always been good in terms of tracking back and doing his defensive work. I noticed this since the day he joined..he’s never been a lazy type when it comes to helping out his full back.

But obviously when you compare it to the defensive work that Valencia and Park get through, it doesn’t seem as good. That’s pretty much why they started at Wembley instead of him- coz they offer more defensively.

But watching him last night….it’s almost as if he took it as a personal insult to be dropped for the final! First half especially, the amount of times he was in his own penalty area cleaning up, was great to see.

Valencia is a class player, and there’ll be games where we need his more direct style of play. But Nani is by a country mile our best winger IMO. When he plays on the right he’s such an asset- can go on the outside and cross, or come infield and shoot. Him, Rooney and Young in the same line up will give us a great amount of fluidity.

  74. Fred says:

Danny the Champion Cunt of the World Taylor has his knife out again for another United youngster.

After practically writing off Bebe after his first training session, Taylor is now trying to plant seeds of doubt about our 20 year old goalie David De Gea.

“The downside for United was that Rafael da Silva was injured… There were also some anxious moments for David de Gea, particularly in the second half.

“De Gea looked hesitant at times and Anders Lindegaard’s impressive form on this tour leaves Ferguson with a dilemma about who should start the season in goal.”

“That apart, however, Ferguson can reflect on another satisfying performance…”

“Barcelona scarcely emerged as an attacking force in that period, barely recognisable from the team that had outclassed United at Wembley in May. In fact, it was possibly too quiet for De Gea. The Spaniard was a virtual spectator throughout the first half and looked anything but commanding after the restart. One miscued kick went straight to Isaac Cuenca 30 yards from goal and could conceivably have been punished more heavily. A few minutes later, De Gea was hesitant in the extreme when Andrés Iniesta dinked a little up-and-under into Thiago’s path. These moments were probably inevitable for a 20-year-old at a new club but Ferguson must hope they do not linger.”

“De Gea was also rooted to the spot as Thiago’s shot went in for the equaliser although in this instance the credit should go to the Barcelona player. ”

Yeah, ya think? What game was he watching? I’ve said it before and this again shows what a vindictive little toerag Danny Taylor is. He tried it with Anderson, he tried it with Bebe and now he’s trying it with De Gea.

  75. CedarsDevil says:

Danny Taylor should get every article he has ever written and break them down into individual letters. Then he should take his time in shoving every one of those letters down both his holes…. Hateful cunt

  76. smartalex says:

    Well reported Fred!

Daniel Taylor has now conclusively proved that his intent is to destroy young players lives.
He is so anti-United that lies and deceit have become his tools-in-trade.

  77. KR says:

Giggs please retire and stop embarassing yourself! Hang em up so we can sign a proper centre mid because you’re holding the younguns back aswell.

  78. CedarsDevil says:

Yes Giggs is a total embarrassment to all footballers out there, in fact he is only being selfish and greedy, he does not want to call it a day because he is evil and wants to block the progress of youngsters…

  79. King Eric says:

KR fuck off you disrespectful cunt and follow City. You son are a fucking embarrassment.

Fred. Hello mate. I remember asking a question to Taylor when we got the chanve and some on here had a go as he “is a decent journo“. He is a little fucking wanker.

Bobbycharlie. Great rant again mate. Gonna have to get back to some rants as you are upstaging me!

  80. Fred says:

Yep, I don’t know how anyone could watch that performance and take from it that De Gea looks like some kind of liability and that we should be concerned about him. He was class. To me it smacks of someone with a vendetta, seeing only what they wanted to see.

  81. Jamaican Red Devil says:

@King Eric no problem bro …..does anyone have a link tothe full game or even half of it I can download? Sadly I didn’t get to watch it :(

  82. captaink9 says:

    Well done KR

  83. duckie says:

A great match, I really enjoyed it. Nani and Owen’s goals were stunning, as was Barca’s goal. Nani was incredible. My MOM, with Welbeck and Cleverly a close second.

One thing that really pissed me off though, was Barcalona’s constant diving and feigning injury. Lame in any sense, but in a pre-season match? Really?

  84. King Eric says:

Captaincunt. Fuck you. Is KR another of your monikers? Well done KR for what? For slating a legend. You are not a United fan as wembley night proved so why the fuck are you still posing as one you sad little cunt?

  85. Kings says:

captaink9 – Shock you lick that KR cunts arsehole. Scum fucking bastard.

  86. soren says:

I have never done it, but http://facebook.com/myfootball.tv is advertising the full match download.

  88. Yang says:

I think that most important thing from this match showing there is no mental scar in players mind.
It is so fortunate for Barca have two exceptional players who is very difficult to mark out but it will change sooner rather than later.

  89. Jamaican Red Devil says:

Thx Smart Alex gonna try it and let u know if it worked

  90. hugh williams says:

    good goal from nani

  91. Tommy Taylor says:

    re dennisviolletsfam @ 4:00
Who could ever forget seeing your uncle Dennis, along with my username and also Liam Whelan banging in the goals in the pre Munich years and for a few years after in Dennis’s case. They were fabulous times as it has always been watching this wonderful club of ours. Oh yes Dennis’s record that’s easy, 32 league goals in a season, and I don’t think he played 40 games!

  92. Jamaican Red Devil says:

@ Smartalex worked like a charm, thx again mate

I must say I was really impressed with Cleverly, he seems to be an intelligent player, Danny Welbeck is playing like a man with years of experience, so 2 is De Gea. Must say I’m very excited…ending the game united back 5 oldest player was Johnny Evans at age 23? I think it is. I love De Gea’s ball distribution, not comparing him to EVDS, but I tell u those long passes up to the front line were all spot on, if it wasn’t for better defending we’d have gone thru clean on goals on a couple of occasions….

  93. smartalex says:

@ Jamaican Red Devil my pleasure. Glad it worked well, and that you enjoyed the victory!
