Naniiiiiiiiiiiiiii!!! What a goal!!! Portugallllllll :)

  2. Evan says:

Jeez! I bet Nani was thinking, “Oh, I might as well hit this. Oh, well, I scored a goal, fancy that” : P guess he didn’t want to be upstaged by Ronnie’s goal beforehand.

XD and you all thought I would get in on this “first!” business…..

  3. WillieRedNut says:

    Well done Nani Jackson! ;)

Just a share, do skip through fellas…. Its the day my wee country made history by beating South Korea, as I said before this equals Wigan winning the CL… Our FA’s budget is almost a half percent of that of South Korea…. Big enough stadium, I think apart from me the whole population were there! hahaha

Good for a watch, apologies for the foreign commentary…. Really glad Park retired from international footy, otherwise I would have had divided feelings! ;-) Spare me the moment fellas, I feel proud

Great to see you here my friend… Seems you are err happy? hahahaha

  18. CedarsDevil says:

    James21

I’ve already read the script…. 1 – 1 at Swansea, injury time header by Evans wins it

  19. MG says:

    I think portugeseprincess seems happy

    Costas

  20. portugueseprincess says:

@CedarsDevil hahahahahha hey there, yeah I am so so happy with our win and Nani’s cracker :)

  21. James21 says:

  22. CedarsDevil says:

    portugueseprincess

Pleasure my red loving friend….. A happy RED is a good RED :-)

  23. CedarsDevil says:

    portugueseprincess

Furthermore you guys need revenge after 2004…. Get stuck in and show them Greeks who’s boss!!

Bloody hell, I do not know who’s side I am on anymore! hahahahaha

  24. James21 says:

That commentator is fantastic Cedars, GOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAALLLLL think the guy who did it in a Brasil game lasted longer. Thought he’d pass out. :)

  25. MG says:

    I’m with Costas

Once a kebab man always a kebab man

  26. portugueseprincess says:

hahahhahahahha I really need that revenge Cedars. No other man has made me cry as much as Haristeas did hahahahahahah

  27. CedarsDevil says:

    portugueseprincess

Hahahaha, with you all the way darling, can never trust them Greeks! hahahaha

Nani double when you meet them, then poor Costas would sink into his raw kebabs!

This is funny shit and I love it!

  28. Costas says:

Well Charisteas is still around and we also have a Portuguese manager now, so revenge might have to wait for after Euro 2012. :P

Just messing around. Any group for our side is welcome. We have nothing to lose. I’d love to face England though.

    @portugueseprincess

Slightly a different topic, but I hope Vierinha gets called up for the tournament. He’s doing very well in the Greek championship and imo he has a lot more to offer than Quaresma. Of course he won’t start ahead of Nani and Ronaldo, but he’s not a bad player at all. And he has a wicked right foot.

  29. Reality says:

Hit and hope hoof, they all go in one day. Bad goalkeeping.

  30. CedarsDevil says:

    James21

Glad you enjoyed it, ya quite funny commentary, no secret who he was supporting! hahahaha

As for Johnny, would rather he nets the winner at Shitlands, but either way anything positive for the lad makes me happy…. Oh wait, he must me crap, the boss has lost his marbles that is why he keeps playing him! hahahaha

  31. Costas says:

    @Cedars

I haven’t told the story I believe, but when Greece and Portugal faced off in the first game of Euro 2004, I celebrated Ronaldo’s consolation goal as much as I did the 2 goals Greece scored. My best friend nearly kicked me out of the house.

The point is, I won’t mind it if Nani is the one that takes us out. ;)

  32. James21 says:

    Don’t forget ‘And he’s a cunt.’ :D

  33. portugueseprincess says:

@Costas,I have to agree. As much as I love Quaresma I think Vierinha has a lot more to offer but somehow I don’t think they will call him.

  34. CedarsDevil says:

    James21

    hahahaha indeed

Costas – Cheers for taking it with a smile, I am just stirring things up for the sake of a good laugh

GO GREECE! Never liked Portugal to be honest hahahahaha

  35. Costas says:

    @portugueseprincess

He hasn’t played for Portugal yet and there are some rumors over here that they’ll try to get him a Greek citizenship. I doubt he will accept it though. It’ll be a huge waste of his talent.

  36. portugueseprincess says:

hahahahha Cedars a LOT of people don’t like the Portuguese national team . We don’t really care hahahahahaha

  37. Costas says:

    @Cedars

Heh. I don’t mind either way pal. Anyone can cheer for whoever they want next summer. Once my county is eliminated, I’ll switch allegiances too, lol.

  38. CedarsDevil says:

Err, we do not have any players from Argentina in our squad do we? hahahaha

Been having a piss take of a WC qualifying campaign! Messi? Best in the world my……(fill in the space)

  39. King Eric says:

Bastard. Can’t see it on blackberry. Will see it on sky shortly.

Is andy big nosed cunt rentboy townsend Downing`s agent? He wouldn’t fucking shut up about him despite him doing fuck all really. Best line was “we know he has a GREAT RIGHT foot but decided to go with his left“. Sorry? If there is one thing Downing aint got that’s a right peg. God how shit is fucking Bent? But according to Ingerlund fans they don’t need Rooney next summer. Yeah ok.

  40. LoneStarRed says:

BOOM . You could hear the thunder rumble and the lightning flash on that shot.

  41. Costas says:

Ok, this is really hillarious. Our new signing!

    http://www.mirrorfootball.co.uk/news/Manchester-United-snap-up-prodigy-Charlie-Jackson-at-age-just-five-article830799.html?utm_source=twitterfeed&utm_medium=twitter

This takes youth policy to a whole new level. Can’t wait to see Jackson play in the Carling Cup next season!

  42. CedarsDevil says:

    portugueseprincess

Hahaha, love your spirits my love…. As I said I am just stirring the pot here, I love everyone but to be honest International football means nothing to me….. Between you and me though I like Portugal more than Greece! hahahahahahaha

  43. portugueseprincess says:

@Costas, I feel sorry for him coz his position is one that we don’t have to worry about in the national team. We have good wingers. We still have Danny as well and Vierinha was called to repplace him when Danny injured himself but Danny himself sits on the bench so…

Hopefully the future will be brighter for him, even if he has to change colours. He wouldn’t be the first and I would wish him every luck

  44. James21 says:

    ^ :D ^
Take it he’s not on your Christmas card list King Eric.

Adrian Chiles ‘ The last time England beat Sweeden we won the world cup’ :/
Wasn’t in a friendly tho you muppet.

  45. MG says:

    Cedars

Best in the world my Kofta Kebabs

  46. CedarsDevil says:

    King Eric

We’re all having a laugh here, why on earth would you bring the name Townsend into the debate…. Bloody ruins my mood and makes me sick to the bone (Which I am by the way!) hahahaha

The guy is an idiot who thinks he’s smart

  47. James21 says:

Corr *Wasn’t it ONLY a friendly*

  48. portugueseprincess says:

Cedars, hahahahahhahahahaaha as soon as Portugal is out of the Euro ( which I know will happen in the group stages) I will support another team as long as its not Germany or France hahahahaha I quite fancy the Netherlands to win it :)

  49. WillieRedNut says:

Downing was top class tonight ya headers. 8) You don’t understand left wingers, if you don’t get Mr downing.

  50. CedarsDevil says:

Damn it, mood switched from humor to anger now…. Medication partly to blame, the name Townsend fully to blame…

Cunt thinks he’s a cockney for fucks sake

  51. CedarsDevil says:

    portugueseprincess

Goodnight Cedars and go ask your second floor neighbour out you big Devil you!

    Goodnight United

  54. WillieRedNut says:

  55. CedarsDevil says:

  58. CedarsDevil says:

    ^^ hahahaha

  59. samuel - united WE stand says:

If portugal had a deadly all round centre forward, a drogba maybe then they’d be a force to be reckoned with, they’re blessed all over the attacking third but not in the centre forward position, helder postiga is still there after so many years but they need real quality strikers.

  60. samuel - united WE stand says:

If portugal had a deadly all round centre forward, a drogba maybe then they’d be a force to be reckoned with, they’re blessed all over the attacking third but not in the centre forward position, helder postiga is still there after so many years but they need real quality strikers.

nani doesn’t Suprise though, he is a player capable of magical moments and always turns up in big games and tonight against a difficult bosnia team to qualify for the euro’s is a big game, he is now amongst the world’s best, he has developed massively and now has experience, he will be crucial for united again this season, needs to get more clinical and increase his goal tally though but his assists stats are ridiculous anyway, he is an epitome of creativity but we can’t place all the burden on him and i’m sure united won’t.

On topic though, brilliant screamer of a goal from nani, nothing new…

  61. WillieRedNut says:

Samuel – You forget about the mighty Postiga? What a forward! ;)

  62. CedarsDevil says:

Leeds United just had their annual convention….. Sources say there were more sheep than humans present

  65. FletchTHEMAN says:

Nani’s was a very special goal. Something from nothing. What a strike.

Here is a better look and english commentary.

    http://goal4replay.net/VideoWatchF.asp?ID=60865&Ln=En

    Very special.

  66. redrider says:

Wow did not realise a new thread was up! Willie… could have left a note mate! I was busy talking to myself o’er there!

  67. FletchTHEMAN says:

Anyone got the skinny on the latest financials released by the club. Looks like we are up considerably due to EPL champions and DHL deal. Also debt down to 450M, ONLY…..

Still could by 45 Chicharitos with that, just sayin

  68. samuel - united WE stand says:

Willie – lol postiga is not good enough in my opinion, pauleta was ok but they need to find some real quality strikerrs up top if they wanna challenge the top teams. saying that, nice brace from him.

  69. HSR says:

Portugal showed Bosnia how to play with style and class. A different story playing on a real pitch instead of a vegetable garden. Now Bosnians can scream out Messi’s name all they want as Ronaldo shot them down. I realy don’t understand why the Bosnians scream for Messi. Is it because they have no one in their team they like to support. All the crappy tactics played by the Bosnians off the pitch got them nowhere, Bosnia needs to grow up and get over their peasant mentality.

  70. rohan19 says:

@costas : this is how the cash reserve went from 151mil to 65 mil

Manchester United are down to their last £65m after wiping £86.7m off their cash holdings this summer. The money was spent on bringing in David de Gea, Ashley Young and Phil Jones to the club during the transfer window while also reducing bond debts.

The quarterly accounts for United’s parent company to September this year show a strong performance in their commercial turnover. This has been driven by the pro rata returns on their ground-breaking £10m-a-year training-kit sponsorship deal with DHL.

However, the cash expenses most catch the eye. The departures of Gabriel Obertan, John O’Shea and Wes Brown could not offset the outlay in player trading by much, and the total net spend over the last transfer window was £47.1m. An additional £8m went on buying up areas of land around Old Trafford and about £5m more on refurbishing the stadium, with improvements to some executive boxes.

The other significant cash movement was the repurchase of a little under £26m in bonds. This is a sensible move, considering that cash earns next to nothing in interest whereas United are paying out 8.75% and 8.375% on their two bond coupons. Even accounting for this one‑off bond buyback, which helped to reduce the gross debt by £83.5m, United paid about £10m in interest over the three months. That is hardly crippling to United, but it does affect the UK taxpayer.

As David Gill, the club’s chief executive, told the parliamentary select committee inquiry into football governance in March: “It is true to say that interest expense for any UK corporate is a tax-deductible item and [United's owners, the Glazers] have used that.”

The financial analyst Andy Green points out on his Andersred blog that despite paying £3.2m in tax over the most recently published quarter, United have saved about £100m in payments that might otherwise have been due to the exchequer since the Glazers’ 2005 takeover of the club. Green has reached this figure by adding all the tax charges that would otherwise have been due from Red Football Group companies’ operations were there not to have been deductible interest payments: £102.072m.

Green adds that until the July-September accounts came out on Tuesday, United’s tax paid under the Glazers had been less than £300,000. A spokesman for the club refused to comment, but Gill did tell the select committee: “We still have significant amounts of tax. Our tax payments to the exchequer last year totalled about £75m; over the last five years it has been £370m.”

  71. rohan19 says:

the above seems a pretty good piece of business.. .
since our gross debts is now quite manageable considering the stock exchange flotation we should be more than competent in the transfer market and buy a mid…
here’s hoping fergie finds the player he’s desperately searching for all over..

  72. NBI Red Onion says:

Nani the MAN. Great to see him coming out of Ronaldo’s shadow and establishing himself in his own right.

However I worry a bit how Nani and Valencia will be accomodated on the right which is Nani;s best position by far. Valencia has also not had th games to his top form and seems to have lost a bit of his bombing down wing beating men and crossing. We really need both to shine and peak. Looking fwd to young coming back.

  73. avishek says:

think he is our most creative player.hope this can help improve his performance for united.

  74. Balaji Sivaraman says:

    Good Morning ROM!

It’s funny really. Ronaldo’s departure from United and Nani’s rise to prominence seem to have coincided perfectly. So much so that Nani is looking like to the go-to guy for Portugal as well.

For me, Ronaldo’s regressed for the most part after leaving us. That may seem like an idiotic statement to make given the goals galore he has scored for Madrid, but you and I both know that even our arthritis-stricken grandpas could score in that league. His overall game isn’t what it was when he used to play for us.

In comparison, Nani has become the all-around player everybody had hoped he would. The fact that everybody looks to him for that something special that is going to turn around matches seems to fuel his confidence. Not only that, overall, I would say Nani’s attitude is much, much better than Ronaldo. Of course, on the pitch, Nani still can frustrate many times, but his overall attitude is definitely much more admirable IMO.

Great goal by the lad and more of the same for United please.

  75. 90+UntilWeScore says:

    @Balaji
I do not agree with the fact Ronaldo regressed, I mean seriously the guy is playing the best football of his life. It is obviously a very good team, but Ronaldo is more of a team player from what I’ve seen so far of the season.Maybe the lack trophies is hurting him and that’s why the change of attitude. I personally think we sold him for less. Not taking anything away from Nani. but CR7 is playing some brilliant football.

  76. Balaji Sivaraman says:

@90+UntilWeScore, Don’t mistake me. I am not saying Nani is a better player than Ronaldo right now. Ronaldo is still one of the top 5 players in the world, but I just don’t think he is doing multiple things as brilliantly as he used to do for us in 2007 and 2008. But, hey, I have not been watching his every game, so what do I know. But, from what I’ve seen, that is what I would say.

  77. RedHound says:

Nani’s predicament is that with Ronaldo’s depature, as the closest thing to Ronaldo in the squad, a lot has been expected of him and as such the media and fans alike have set for him a standard that would be daunting if only Nani wasnt capable of magic. If he produces a bit of skill, stretches that say for four games, people start saying he’s come of age and all that, if he goes average say for 3 games after that, then its all Nani is inconsistent. so its a no win for him. i dont know if he’ll eventually rise above all that, but he’s certainly the most creative player in United

  78. Costas says:

    @rohan

Thanks for the info. I was afraid that part of that money was spent on debt payments and I am sad to see that confirmed. I remember Gill saying that the cash was at Fergie’s disposal. Don’t know how things will pan out from now on, but hopefully there will be enough left to buy a full back and a CM next summer.

Other than that, once again, a very succesful revenue policy. Interesting to hear about the 8 mil they spent on buying land around OT. I wonder if they have an expansion in mind.

  79. lordrt says:

No doubt thats a very good goal, but he needs to show more involvement and consistency in Utd as well, or is it that the presence of Young in the squad has unsettled him lately? In the past we had CR7 delivering crosses and goals in crucial times, now it is his responsibility to do so, agreed he’s had a very bad game against the bitters and got subbed as well, but if he takes his future in his hands and give his best in every game, then no doubt he’ll rise to the level of CR7 very soon, and both he and Young could prove deadly pairs on the wings, where Utd’s play tilts the most I believe, with the fast pace of these 2, any defence will be cracked easily

  80. Costas says:

According to reports, Young and Cleverley are fit for the Swansea game.

  81. RedHound says:

Yeah just saw it on MEN an hour ago, that would be a welcome comeback, especially Cleverley

  82. Jeet says:

Reading some of the Nani comments here and how we need our wingers to do the business, etc. Personally, I don’t think fergie has restricted/shackled Nani a lot – he still has the freedom to cut in and shoot, just so long as he remembers to track back when required as well. I think the key to unlocking our wingers’ magic is – guess what, the center midfield (ohh no, groan, not again…)! What I mean is that most teams have figured out that our mojo lies on the wings and conversly, we suck in the engine room. hence, they are very comfortable taking a chance and double, at times triple marking Nani/Young. There’s not a winger alive in the world who can turn in match winning performances with that kind of attention. The reason opposition teams can do this is because they know that there is very little attacking threat likely from the middle of the park. Get a little bit of class and talent in the midfield, and then oppositions will have to think twice before moving the DMF to support the fullback in Nani-kicking (that’s what it often boils down to). and then,we will get to see Nani, Young and TonyV at their best. Just my 2 cents.

  83. Sandeep1878 says:

    Paul scholes special:
Ryan Giggs:“The best player that i have played and
trained with has to be Paul Scholes, you just can’t get
the ball off him. He’s a great passer of the ball, he has
a great range. He works hard but he also manages to
make it look easy – which everyone would love to be
able to do.” Many great players have worn the shirt of Manchester
United .. in so many ways SCHOLES is my favourite – Sir
Bobby Charlton Patrick Vieira: “The player in the Premiership I admire
most? Easy. Scholes.” Edgar Davids: “I’m not the best, Paul Scholes is.” Lionel Messi: “At La Masia, his name was mentioned a
lot. He’s a teacher.” Wayne Rooney: “He’s unbelievable. He’s one of the
greatest of all time.” Cristiano Ronaldo: “Scholes is the best I’ve played
with and he helped me a lot when I was young.” Pele: “If he was playing with me, I would score so
many more.” George Best: “The boy can play.” Xavi:”A role-model for me.In the last 15 to 20 years
the best central midfielder that I have seen – the most
complete is Scholes” Zinedine Zidane – Scholes is undoubtedly the best
midfielder of his generation. Gary Neville – I wouldn’t swap Paul Scholes for
anybody. He is quite simply the most complete
footballer I have ever played with. He is the best

  84. Sandeep1878 says:

Good morning Red Devils around the world,

    Cracking goal indeed,

    Happy birthday Scholesy..

  85. Seiça says:

    This is art…

  86. rohan19 says:

@costas : great news about clev and young.. any info on rafael??
he’s been out for like ages..

with 65 mil available i doubt fergie will be active in the jan transfer window…
i think the next few games will help him make his mind up about buying the elusive midfielder..
we might see a shock signing..
a fullback ala izzaguirre coming in.. i’d love jordi alba though
can’t see any fergie ‘type’ affordable mids out there

  87. Jeet says:

Forget any meaningful signing in January…not going to happen…

  88. WillieRedNut says:

    @Balaji 6.29

Hope you’ve got your crash helmet on? Lol. Watch out for Fred! :)

  89. Balaji Sivaraman says:

@Willie, I am prepared for anything. As I said, Ronaldo is still in great form but nowhere near as good at doing multiple things and having the world at his feet as he was for us in 2007 and 2008. :)

@Jeet, I hate January signings. They almost always seem stop-gap and have no influence over the present season. Even Vidic and Evra, our two most successful mid-season signings, were pretty poor for the remaining part of the season in which they signed. It wasn’t until they had a full summer and pre-season that they started to shine in the subsequent season. Bargaining is also way off during Jan since most clubs know that it is a mark of desperation and can hold you for ransom if they so desire. Finally, I just don’t think it is in Sir Alex’s style to buy a big-name player in Jan. If anything, even if our situation worsens which is rare, he will play it out for the rest of the season and make changes in the summer only.

  90. CedarsDevil says:

    Afternoon all

Costas – Terrific news on wee Thomas and Young, really made my day. Cheers

  91. CedarsDevil says:

Awfully quiet on this fine RoM afternoon….. Into the third day now of a massive thunder storm and I love it

Why on earth did Jones play the full 90 last night? Crapello has it for us, I am sure he has.

Wonder if we will see both Young and Nani start at the weekend and if as reported wee Thomas is fit, who would partner him? Funny how times quickly change eh? All of a sudden wee Thomas has become the main man in midfield

  92. Costas says:

    @rohan

I agree. Fergie in general doesn’t spend a lot in January, but it would also be buying for the sake of buying someone imo. Our last 3 CM transfers were Hargreaves, Carrick and Anderson and none of them came cheap. We can spend 15-20 mil again in January, but will it be someone that can make a difference?

As for Rafael, I believe he recovered from his shoulder injury just before the break. I just don’t know if Ferguson is looking to play him in a Reserves game first.

  93. MarkoWire says:

Lets hope he can start scoring more crackers like that for United. The lad clearly has a shot on him.

  94. Costas says:

    @Cedars

Hi pal. Good news indeed. The injury front seems to be improving right now. Only Smalling and Owen are the long term absentees. And Welbeck is a question mark at the moment.

  95. CedarsDevil says:

    Costas

Would love to see the same line up that took Arsenal to the cleaners earlier, wee Thomas being the catalyst… Hope Welbeck is fit, for the time being I prefer him to start ahead of Little Pea, with the latter coming off the bench ala Ole…

Great that our injuries are clearing up, the medical team must be doing some decent job! hahaha

  96. redrider says:

    Great group for ingurland.

  97. redrider says:

oh that was just the seedings pot was it?! lol

  98. rohan19 says:

@costas : agreed. there ain’t any decent midfielders that suit our style of play available..
i wonder whether getting tunnicliffe back would help.. according to KE he’s a fighter..

also why not try out pogba morrison for a relatively easy game.. hope to see them start against palace..
we need a bit of reinvention. then i think we shall be fine

worst case for england would be to get spain portugal france in a group….
even holland france and portugal would be bad..
if those are the groups then why bother taking rooney..

  100. CedarsDevil says:

    redrider

Tighten your screws buddy! hahaha Great to see you back here

  101. redrider says:

    draw is in Dec.

  102. redrider says:

    Cedars

Woke up from a nap and the first thing I saw was about the draw! Lol.
Initial joy subdued somewhat now… :-P

  103. CedarsDevil says:

    redrider

Hahaha…. Who cares about England anyway? Lebanon will win the WC in 2014! You heard it here first! hahaha

  104. CedarsDevil says:

In an attempt to divert attention and fan rage from their crap first team coach, Leeds have just promoted a sheep into the position….. Fans rejoiced and promised to attend more training sessions

  105. WillieRedNut says:

    Random thought for the day:

Phil Jones in midfield for England? I thought he looked the part in both games. Now, he didn’t exactly do himself justice for United in there against the vermin. There was no space at anfield, in a very congested midfield battle. Still, I think he could eventually end up in CM for United. Not the finished article of course, but watching him for England in those two games, has me rethinking that one. I would suggest the lad has the ability to progress into a sound central midfielder.

  106. CedarsDevil says:

    Willie

I believe both you and I been shouting the thought since we signed the lad…. Totally agreed, Jones has abilities that most do not even realize, could play anywhere and like you I think he has the makings of a great CM…. Cannot believe he’s only 19!

  107. CedarsDevil says:

When Ole takes over the hot seat Jones will be made club captain…

RIP Duncan, we finally have someone remotely comparable to you

  108. rohan19 says:

jones as the famed midfield ‘destroyer’ would be good.. he need tons of experience for that though..
wouldn’t mind seeing him play there against benfica….

  109. rohan19 says:

@cedars : remotely is the right word there i guess.. but we never know. jones might end up being 50% percent of what edwards was.. and he’ll still be one hell of a player..

btw whats this news about us being in ‘hot pursuit’ of lucas. and apparently eriksen too

  110. CedarsDevil says:

    rohan

Hello my friend, ya I said remotely as it is almost impossible to compare anyone to the late Edwards, Jones does seem to have similar attributes and I was quick to make the comparison, many United legends have done the same… Time will tell I suppose but the kid seems like one hell of a prospect..

As for news on signings, I never really pay attention to such reports to be honest….. The boss seems to be picking them out of the hat these days, Hernandez springs to mind, no one knew about that one.

  111. wayne says:

As it gets closer to the transfer window Utd will be linked with just about everyone,NewsNow this morning just the first 20-30 articles Utd are linked with
    Gotze
    Rodwell
WS[apparantly Inter will let him go for 40mill,what a laugh]
    van der Wiel
    Hunletaar
    Van Persie
    Douglas Costa
and that’s only in the last half hour

  112. CedarsDevil says:

    wayne

Cheers for that share, just pissed myself

  113. rohan19 says:

@cedars : he certainly does have the talent, determination, focus, and more than able guidance.. he can actually make me want to watch england play… what he needs is time and less media scrutiny.. it can really affect a youngster.. and the english media are like hounds.. (citation : De gea)

yeah.. i don’t know much about this lucas really.. but i hope we don’t buy him.. what we really need is for this team to gel and for pogba to make giant strides… ravel morrison to stop acting like a jerk..
all the above is too much to ask for i think..
even if clev stays fit for 20 games we’ll be more than fine

  114. CedarsDevil says:

    rohan

You are speaking to my heart my friend….. Well said, we can only live in hope I suppose

  115. wayne says:

@Cedars hi mate i know most of the lads expect a signing in January,i’m not expecting a big signing
Utd have looked disjointed but injuries having been plaguing the team.
Anyone know the last time Utd shelled out big money in January for a player who’d supposed to make a instant impact.

  116. CedarsDevil says:

    wayne

Not sure about big money (sure Costas will help with this) We did sign Evra and Vidic in January though, not bad if you ask me. Mind you Evra had a horrific debut at Shitlands lol

  117. wayne says:

@Cedars,Evra and Vidic were both works in progress didn’t pay much for either and both struggled early.I’m assuming by all the talk alot of lads expect a 30-40mill midfielder who’ll turn the team around,if this happens i’ll be surprised.

  118. CedarsDevil says:

    wayne

Like you I cannot see it happening buddy, nor do I want it to happen. Some here have multiple orgasms by the mere mention of a name linked to us… Possible transfers and related rumors never bother me

  119. wayne says:

@Cedars most don’t make any sense,it’s all to do with Headlines that will attract internet hits.

  120. dazbomber says:

We did sign Dong Fangzhuo in January. I don’t think we ever replaced him.

  121. CedarsDevil says:

    dazbomber

    hahahaha

  122. theboogeyman says:

King Eric- Good to see you back posting sir!

  123. WillieRedNut says:

Nothing major will happen in January. It’s always seen as panic buying. Give or take a few seasons, we hardly ever make signings in the January window. That’s gonna be pain in the ass for all the transfer muppets out there lol. You will have to wait till the summer.

  124. Briggsy says:

    Hello everyone.

Hell, is the premier league on again yet? No two weeks drag longer then when its the international break.

Might of been said already, but glad Rio and Rooney didn’t play this past week, hope Cleveley is back. Should have a fairly rested squad. Here’s to tonking the Welsh, hopefully.

  125. King Eric says:

wayne – Ha . Hunterlaar. That one keeps rearing its head mate. He is fucking gash. According to the nazi mail two week ago he “snubbed” United. Yeah as if we wanted that one paced, one dimensional over rated cunt. See him last night in his Zorro mask? I know I wanted Sneijder in the summer but having watched him this season he has been fucking shambolic. Wether it be for Inter or country he keeps getting hauled off after an hour. He had his peak in Inter’s treble season.

Another thing can someone please tell me what Ibrahimovich has done aside from THAT goal to warrant being up there with there with the worlds best. Every single time I have watched him he has been awful. Really awful.

Willie – I am another mate that said Jonesy could play midfield. A few on here laughed at us. He is a right fucking player and we need players like him in the centre to make those lung bursting runs. Once that lad scores a goal the floodgates could open. Been so close in games. His passing aint too bad either and he has a footballing brain on him.

  126. King Eric says:

Had to laugh this morning. Andy Gray and Keys’ said this morning that “its not inconceivable that Phil Jones will be on the plane to the Euro’s next summer”. You don’t say. He is a fucking shoe in.

  127. King Eric says:

theboogeyman – Thanks alot mate. Hope you are well.

  128. rohan19 says:

@cedars : yeah hope is eternal as far as ravel morrison is concerned..
rest i can see happening slowly.
lets hope we see clev and carrick play together against swansea…
40 mil for sneijder is pure invention..
and we have already signed a 5 year old ‘whizkid’… so im not really worried :P

  129. Clint-iamyourpapii says:

The truth is Nani & Ronaldo was never similar, its just a myth created by the media.

Ronaldo was a super speedy cunt, Nani is a averagely fast wacko jacko.
    Ronaldo couldn’t cross, Nani does.
Ronaldo scored like 23,41,27 goals for us. Nani’s scores like 10? Assists are like 20?
Ronaldo cant assist unless its a squared ball across goal.
Ronaldo scored set pieces, Nani creates goals from set pieces.
Ronaldo carries teams. Nani works for his team.

They are both two footed, portugoose & Love step overs but thats where the similarity ends. Its like comparing Joe Cole to Messi….

Nani’s style has developed into a more classical winger’s style, more comfortable on the right, utilising pace, ball control and trickery to create space. While capable of cutting off both wings to strike at goal from distance, Nani has fewer goals, but a higher proportion of assists tthan Ronnie.

Nani almost fell for this myth that he was the next Ronnie when in fact he was his own man, we have now seen the real nani and he is a killer star. By age 26, the finished article will be worth £50m

Happy Birthday to Nani Jackson ….. 25 tommorow, time flies, Rooneys fucking 26  .

  130. rohan19 says:

this obsession with attacking mids has driven the footy world nuts… goetze eriksen lucas some other continental kid et al are suddenly seen as saviors of almost every team…
the day’s are gone when deep lying playmakers like makelele were in demand..
what we really need is a carrick sorta player.. a shield who has an eye for a pass and can get us playin without being caught with our pants down

  131. WillieRedNut says:

King Eric – I didn’t catch Keys and gray today. Jones is nailed on to go to the finals next year. It remains to be seen whether Don Fabio has the balls to play him. The so – called golden generation(what a laugh that is) have consistently failed at tournaments. Time for little England to unleash some of the young lads. If anything else, they’ll have no fear playing against anyone.

  132. Clint-iamyourpapii says:

    All this talk about youngsters going to euros is non sense, when the times comes this will be the team;

    Hart,Carson,Stockdale
    Johnson,Rio,Jagielka,Terry,Cahil,Lescott,Cole,Baines,Walcott,Milner,Barry,Parker,Gerrard,Carrick,Lampard,Young,Downing,Rooney,Bent,Carroll,,Zamora.

Smalling,Jones,Cleverley,Rodwell,Wiltshire,Adam Johnson,Sturridge,Welbeck,Kyle Walker,Gibbs,Agbonlahor will be left behind by Crapello

————-Sorry for talking about international garbage, I despise ingurand —–
    I hope Ireland,France & Portugal do well.

  133. WillieRedNut says:

I hope Brazil win the Euros.

  134. Sandeep1878 says:

Good evening Red Devils around the world,

    hope you all are good,

    Costas,

stunning news on Clev and Young,

    King Eric,

hello pal, long time, hope you are good..

here wishing you all the best for soon to be a father..

    Cedars,

    how are you buddy?

some prob with my laptop so couldnt catch up for sometime and wont be for sometime..

I think Cleverly, ando and carrick will kick on now…fascinated agai n

  135. Sandeep1878 says:

    Willie,

and yeah i hope Pele scores the wining goal :P

  136. RedHound says:

dont know if you guys have already seen this already but here’s an actual video of the 5 year old Charlie Jackson kid, he’s actually playing with some pretty big kids

  137. RedHound says:

However, Baerke van der Meij holds the record after being tied down to a 10 year contract this year with dutch club VVV-Venlo at 18months (1 and a half years) of age, the club moved fast to make the move after this video went viral on youtube.
Are there really soccer geniuses in the true sense of the word? you have your 13 year olds with PHDs in advanced science fields, the 8 year old running a marble internet business, the 8 year old developing advanced ipad apps, so maybe, just maybe there are kids whose brains are just gifted at this and give them a headstart, we’ll just wait and see

  138. FletchTHEMAN says:

Luis Suarez Charged by FA! The wheels of justice do grind on

    http://www.thefa.com/TheFA/Disciplinary/NewsAndFeatures/2011/suarez-161111

  139. WillieRedNut says:

The FA are charging Suarez for the incident involving Evra. Hope the cunt gets the severest punishment possible.

  140. Fred says:

I’m stunned! I hope they throw the book at the cunt. Can we now have apologies from every journalist who insinuated that Evra was lying? Thanks in advance, chaps. 8)

  141. Champ19n says:

Old Trafford is crying out for a hero, isn’t she? I wish Cantona was still a misfit at Leeds and Dion Dublin had two good feet.

Experiencing all that through the 90′s put things into perspective for me, all these kids crying out for 40 million pound transfers every half hour will learn to be patient just like we did.

Just put your faith in the gaffer, when has he ever let us down?
I saw two pictures of him the other day on the official website, side by side. One on the left was when he joined us 25 years ago, the one on the right was current. I was thinking to myself, he’s grown old here…become part of our fabric, and in the process has become a father figure to millions of people who have not even met him. And yet of our fans think he doesn’t know what players our club needs?
He has won 12 out of the last 18 premier league titles, fuck me name one big club in Europe that has done that.

We are a couple of players away from greatness boys and the boss knows it. Heroes always manage to find us. The boss is going to lift those ‘big ears’ again.

    Believe you reds!

  142. WillieRedNut says:

If I was a cynical man, I would think the FA’s timing on this, when Blatter has just made the most stupid comment have heard in a long time on Racism, is rather convenient.

  143. Sandeep1878 says:

    fuck,

FA charging a NON UNITED player,

now i m sure the world is gonna end in 2012…

  144. Fred says:

Sepp Blatter, what a stupid cunt. I don’t know of a single person in the football world who likes him (other than himself, of course.)

  145. RedManWalking says:

Champ19n – I saw that pic! The thought that came to my mind was – “Only the hair has become white! Everything looks the same. Almost like he has joined United with a lot of hunger and expectations! The fire still burns brightly as it ever did!”

The F.A. are charging Suarez with racially abusing Evra. I bet the punishment is a 1000 pound fine and a warning! I hope its an 8 month ban!

  146. Fred says:

    Liverpool statement:

The Club this afternoon received notification from the Football Association of their decision to charge Luis Suarez and will take time to properly review the documentation which has been sent to us.

We will discuss the matter fully with him when he returns from international duty, but he will plead not guilty to the charge and we expect him to request a personal hearing.

Luis remains determined to clear his name of the allegation made against him by Patrice Evra.

The Club remain fully supportive of Luis in this matter.

  147. redbilly says:

    champ 19 – well said.

  148. Sandeep1878 says:

    i m still shell shocked..

has FA gone anti rouge? :P

  149. Zibbie says:

    Great read, good day RoM.
SAF had in the last winter window got 4 verbal commitments from players and signed 3 of them. Nasri went for more money and he signed the other 3. Since I have been a fan 2003/4 not many singed in the winter window. The 3 I remember Vida, Evra and Diouf and kids for the future. He knows he if just 2 or 3 players to compete and win, for the PL and CL for the next 6 years.
If Rodwell keeps progressing he could come in the summer. If Pogba goes he comes for sure?
He has 15-20 possibles and some we have no clue about. I think he surprise’s us with one in the winter window and 2 in the summer with 2 prospects (16 to 18 ys old 5 to 10 mill type) to boot.
