Impressive, very raw as expected, but that was expected, looks like he will be a useful addition, looks like a tall boy too, will be nice to have someone else in the air. Seen the comments from Rooney saying he’ll miss CL game, as long as he plays against the scouse scum I don’t think we mind too much, eh Scott?

  2. Mikael says:

Nothing much to go by but it’ll be interesting to see how he’ll develop. He had a good flick or two and seems to have great speed (look at when he and fabio breaks down the left wing) but looses a bit too much speed with the ball at his feet but he’ll get better. Made some nice passes too, looks like he’s got a good eye on him.

Good to see Rafael back too, O’shea can’t play every match and since Rio is a one in three matches man and Evans a doubt Brown is needed in the centre of defence.

    Bring on Bolton!

here what the fuck is this shite all about???

  6. Gotta hate tiny tears says:

Da silvas down the wings from left and right back playing the ball true to Brady and oberton with brandy speed up front, it was amazing quick paced football, Obertan made one run that ended up been a corner because he ran so fast and no united players kept up, the longer The first half went on the more comfoRtable he looked , great to see the twins back together and brandy back in a red shirt

  7. cantonagiggs says:

Finally, we can see Obertan’s performance.

    Good boy.

Fabio also good in this game.

  8. Welbz19 says:

Was there last night and I thought he was very impressive bit one footed but he’s very quick and seemed to link up well with brandy who was excellent! Obertan looked a bit hesitant to go into a 50-50 but u can understand that after how long he’s been out, work rate was impressive aswell!

  9. Cocci says:

Obertan looks really good … another couple of games in the reserves and he’ll soon be ready for action. Great to see Rafael back. Both he and Fabio played really well … I hope that Brandy has a good run in the reserves he’s a good prospect who has been so unlucky with injuries.

  10. Gotta hate tiny tears says:

Sure ge had a good first match for united but let’s not get too excited remember rooneys first united match he was wonderful but what has he done since

  11. Evra's biggest fan says:

Gotta hate tiny tears – yeah what has rooney done… bloody lay about….. i think not!!

  12. Gotta hate tiny tears says:

Watching last nights march and mostly the first half I taught to myself that uniteda first team number 3 has to look over his shoulder for uniteda reserve number 3 because we seen what a dip in form ment for heinze his place was filled in by left back pat and the rest is history, fabio was champions league final good yesterday and thou it was against oldhams second string the guy was amazing his pace his defending and his imagination was top drawer and his break from the left flank into the 6 yard box crossing(?) the ball across the goal mouth was amazing, it must be like watching the greatest Porno for sir Alex when reserves play like that, (not that sit Alex pumps his own oil watching it I ment that he gets real excited)

  13. King Eric says:

    Morning.

Loved the banner at the game last night. United > England.

Outrageous pace, by the time the coaches work their magic this lad will be superb. Some great tricks as well. Counter attacking football at its best. Ole has got them playing top football. They were even saying on talksport this morning to look out for Orbetan.

gotta hate – Spot on about Fabio, he was excellent last night. Pace to burn.

  14. READ CAREFULLY WHAT I says:

I love the way he looks like he is the most intelligent guy on the pitch – Half man half Mekon!

He should fulfil his promise if he pays attention (which he will) and if he translates his natural intelligence into football intelligence then he will thrive.
Compare this with Nani (naturally a bit thick) and see who is still at United in 24 months time.

  15. willierednut says:

Just watching the replay of the reserves match now, he looks good on the ball we bit raw thats to be expected though. I seen he getting compared to henry, if turns out to be half the player henry was we’ll ave some player on our hands.

  16. indirocka says:

1.51 is amazing for a player who is playing his first game after a back injury. It shows that this boy has got class and confidence. After getting match fitness, there’s a big chance he’ll be involved a lot in the first team

Big things will come from this boy and i think he’s the `Ronaldo` replacement, but the camp are not getting into much of it yet. Wait till he plays and the hype will begin. My two cents :)

  17. Muggaz says:

i’ve said it before and i’ll say it again – the Da Silva twins blasting down the wing makes me do a sex wee in my pants.

  18. denton davey says:

He seems to have the raw materials – speed and skill – the question is: can he deliver when faced by much, much, much better defenders ? Some guys get better against better competition; other guys disappear when the heat gets turned up. His interlinkage with Fabio/Rafael (? which one ?) was also very instinctive. The promise for even faster wing play is appealing, to say the least.

  19. Redsmoke says:

Obertan looked great for his first match back from a long layoff. The lad could use some bulking up before he sees first team action, he’s gonna get worked if he doesn’t.

  20. Shimo says:

    @Denton Davey

In the video he linked up with both Fabio and Rafael. Fabio for the second goal down the left and then there was the play down the right to Rafael that fooled even the commentator.

I do like the look of the twins. It’s going to be crazy competition between them and Da Laet for fullback spot. I like !!!!

  21. Rax says:

    Afternoon guys
Obertan: great pace with some nice tricks. Can definitely see why Fergie wanted him.
    @RCWI: Bang on about Nani.
@Cocci: Think it’s premature to say “another couple of games in the reserves and he’ll soon be ready for action” though.

  22. Drew Vader says:

I’ve said it a thousand times on here, why not give Fabio a shot at Left mid? I know that we tried a few times of a partnership with maybe Silvestre at left back and pushing Evra up into left mid and it didn’t really work out well, I guess some players just do better having more space to run into, but come on, it has to be worth a shot, right? Why just have the idea that the twins are fullbacks and will never be given a shot further up the pitch?

  23. Drew Vader says:

On topic — Sorry to be a wet blanket, but its hard to get excited about a player when he is going against Oldhams reserves.

  24. belfast77 says:

fuck me someone feed that kid before he blows away in the wind. Nothing impressive really in that display. Im not one to get excited because a player can make a couple of straight forword passes. Although for some reason his style of play also reminded me of Thierry Henry.

  25. Carrick's Fuckin Magic....4-3 mate says:

its sooo confusing when the twins play in the reserves !!!!

they just zip allll around the pitch Its quite amazing definately no man marking on those guys you’d lose ur freaking mind!!..and omg i love to see them tacklee.

Joshua King reminds me of a certain aston villa striker

    On Topic….Obertan has Flair…great!
    so how’s his crossing?

  26. Macheda is GOD says:

i didnt even look at the comments on youtube and i said he looks like henry.
    Cant wait. :)

  27. Some1 says:

From what I have seen so far Obertan looks like a really good talent. Wish we had bought him younger though so by now he would be miles better.

I know it might sound over the Gun I think Obertan ISSS the new Ronaldo at Man Utd. He is doing the same tricks Ronaldo was doing when he left Manchester and when it comes to speed there is no question. Weaker shot, Body strength and less confidence than CR7 but still great assists will come. Give the kid time to come back from injury and really settle in as he gets more matches under his belt.
New Ronaldo except that He has less greed for success which will halter progress. So a new Ronaldo with way more assists than Goals.

Ronaldo so great because he puts himself before team.

  28. Tufty says:

Stephen Hawkins would have looked half decent if he was playing in that game last night.
Reserve football is not test at all.

  29. kel says:

I ws really impress after watching the first half of the game. His feet is quick. Plenty of tricks and running with pace. Tall like hell. Amazing. I bet he can play good. Wonderful stuff.

  30. King Eric says:

Tufty – Not like you to put a dampner on things. It doesn’t matter who you play your speed is still the same as is your touch to an extent. I personally am expecting great things from him.

  31. 4inarow says:

Can anyone tell me more about ravel morrison getting arrested in may?
I hope this lad stays on the straight and narrow,he looks a real prospect.

  32. RedHarry4Life says:

Watched the game last night. I am not going to go overboard nor am i going to slate him. It was his 1st game back for 3 months, 1st game this season from a back injury.

Though Obertan did well. Looked shit hot fast and had good skill put through a couple of nice passes. He also lost the ball a few times.

Best player on the pitch was Fabio. Looked so good, so fast, good skill levels, great going forward. Can now start to see what all the hype was about, as it was Fabio who was rated the better of the two twins. And we all know how good Rafael is!

I would say however that POGBA really impressed me in the youth team match. God what a monster! Looked twice the size of any other player on the pitch. Shielded the ball so well, had two great feet with some great short and long range passes and had such a sweet freekick that hit the bar beating the keeper all ends up. He looks such a great prospect even made Ravel look 2nd best and Ravel is gonna be a stunning player if he can get his attitude right.

I know it was only a youth game and it was only his 1st game but god did he look well worth all the hassle. I’d even pay le Havre a million or so. Think we have got a great future player.

And the Italian centre back Fornasier looked a typical Italian defender leaving the boot in on occasion. Anyone have any news of Davide Petrucci’s injury progress? He looks anolther great prospect

  33. ash says:

hope oberton doesnt become like a nani.good for 2 games and then disappear for 10 games.
for me now fergie should start fabio or rafael in the rb instead of oshea.full respect to oshea but i think twins would be a better option.

  34. tutechkeane says:

THIS GUY HAS ALL IT TAKES TO BE AT THE VERY TOP.WITH THE RIGHT ATTITUDE AND A TOUCH FROM THE GAFFER,THEIR IS NO LIMIT TO WHAT HE WILL BECOME.

QUOTE ME THE VIRUS WILL SOON COME LOOKING FOR HIM.

  36. bigphil2003 says:

Bellion had lots of pace and even scored a goal on his debut against better competition than this. Don’t get your hopes up too much.

  37. bengalisoldier says:

i knew it he wud be player like ronaldo, but much better then him of course nd cmon sir alex gt him game nw i cnt w8 da lng 4 him 2 gt in 1st team action, seein as he ws wearin no7 t-shirt damn i wish he was no7 instead owed no7, but never mind.

  38. bigphil2003 says:

^I can’t tell if this is a joke or just someone with a really twisted view on the world.
