Great performance by the lads!
28 goals in 8 games.
Great goals. Great squad effort. Love it from the youth team. Zeke Fryers was a rock then replaced by Berbatov in central defense. Amazing.
Think we were let down by some of the fans. Will be some bad press about it in the morning.
3-0 at HT again & with 11 changes! GGMU!
Well done Manchester United!
Owen, Berbatov, Park and Giggs ran the show first half.
Carrick, Fryers and third-choice keeper Amos were solid. Not bad considering we played with only 2 defenders, neither of whom have age or experience on their side.
Great to see Pogba again.
MOTM=Micheal Carrick…

@Fletch – there’s bound to be a lot of Munich songs at Stoke this weekend, as usual. I wonder if they will get the same level of attention that the “Istanbul” chants received tonight.
My guess is not, seeing as you never hear a peep about such things, or City’s many Munich songs, but when United fans stoop to that level, the press always seem quick to highlight it.
For the record, any United fan who engages in such chanting is a fucking idiot imho.
Couldn’t say it better myself Fred, very hypocritical to complain about Munich and then do that. There’s no place for anything like that in football. Great performance from what seemed like our 10th team out there tonight, Mickey’s goals were terrific, particularly enjoyed the way those sheep shagging cunts shut up after his second, and what a goal it was. Fucking chuffed with the result and the performance and the fact those sheep shaggers have been served a reminder of how far they have fallen and how fucking shite they are. We all hate Leeds scum.

The 37 year old was head and shoulders above the rest tonight. He has more class in his little finger than the whole Leeds side. And I loved his celebration aimed at their fans.
And the young lad Fryars was impressive. He wasn’t challenged by much but he looks like a beast of an athlete and is very confident on the ball. Well done
Fred, Right mate. Still apart of the game unfortunately. Lads who do it mostly think it is just for fun. But there are still a few that really feel they need some blood. Won’t change until big brother has the lot on 24hr video.
I think Pogba did pretty well. Made a few interceptions. Kept up with the pace of the game…knew when to slow it down and speed it up. His positioning was quite good as well.
My favority was a 40yard long pass to Diouf down the right wing….overall did pretty well, me thinks
I agree Vader…Fryards looked good. Wondering what kinda injury he got. Looked like hamstring
Don’t shoot the messenger, fellas. From Canal+, via L’Equipe:
Manchester acquired by Qatar?
The project was discussed for several years, but it seems he has entered a decisive phase. According to information from Canal + Sport, Manchester United could be in the next few hours, bought by the Emir of Qatar, which is in London to further negotiation. Such a transaction would it have on a full surrender, the amount would then be around two billion euros, or a partial redemption, thanks to an introduction of a stake in the club to the Singapore Stock Exchange ? This progress of the file, which could lead to an agreement in the coming days, comes as the FC Barcelona also has to decide soon on a partnership with Qatar Sports Investment.

Owen is definately looking to give Pea competition. His all round game outside the box was stronger and his strikes – class.
Diouf also looks like he could be a United player given time, contrary to what a lot of people thought.
Lads I think mickey owen has got alot to fucking offer us, in many competitions not just the carling cup
Great first half – Owen…!!! Pea watch out.
Diouf , Fabio and Fryers, impressed me. Cole looked sharp. Pogba nervous. Needs time. He was very hyped and you could see he was self-conscious, seen him play better. I think Diouf has a chance of a United future, nice ball control, sharp tackling, strong and determined. How many f-in good defenders and GK’s do we have now…jeez…!!!!
Ferdrico – he is actually a great tackler, however, it was not his position and he was busy but not always productive. I think he needs to relax and play his game. The Sampadoria spell has taken that cocky confidence away but he needs a bit of it.
Giggs, Owen, Valencia, Carrick great. I was pleasantly surprised by Berbatov, I don’t think he has the time space and opportunity to play like that in the PL so you don’t see his range of skills and Rooney is not going to be moved. However, he was interesting in an “attacking mid-field” role and provided incisive passes and alot of play went through him and Park, who broke things up in the middle really really well though he seemed frustrated in the second half.
Second half had a lot of passing around defence, would have liked to see the young lads attacks more. Also not alot of crosses going in when Leeds were tired. Thought we could have done a number on them last 15 mins.
Nice to see Welbeck back. Apparently Pea trains on Wed.
The performances that impressed me the most were Berbatov’s, Owen’s and Carrick’s.
Owen, well, what can you say? He’s always sharp. Always. What a weapon he is in the squad. He could start for us any game. Form? Forget about it. He’s got the touch, he knows where the goal is, and he always will. Such a pro. Needs to be said, because it’s not said enough, his presence at the club, for what we pay him, is an honour. Because he could walk into plenty of clubs for plenty of money. But he will play for us, in games like this, because of who we are. Top, top bloke.
Carrick? He’s just quality. I know it’s not glamorous what he does, but he’s a genius at it. It should be glamorous. It is at Barca. But in England we don’t respect poise, control, ball retention, we respect sweat, ‘putting in a shift’ and scrapping. Like The Great Scholesy if Carrick had been Spanish he’d be walking the Earth as a God right now. Because the Spanish know a bit more about the art of the midfield than the English. And today, at centre back, he bossed a physical, aggressive, team on their own manor. And we all know that the worse a team gets the more physical they can be, so he might have struggled, but no.
Berbatov was Rooney tonight. Not Rooney of this season, nobody is Rooney of this season but Rooney, but he was everywhere. He helped the play flow, he won the ball, he retained the ball, and he created space. He was always there, a threat, pulling players away, making neat touches, piling on the pressure. And he was so dangerous that while Leeds were climbing all over him Owen and later Giggs found space for goals. When he came back to defend he was smart and as combative as he needed to be without being clumsy.
Berbatov and Owen up front is fully ninja is what that is. So much skill, so much experience, so much cool. We all love the way that the young players have come through, but to see these experienced campaigners control the field is fantastic.
Fred. Feeling a bit like a prized camel at the moment. Think I want some hay and bed down after a nice brushing.
Fantastic result from the team..
good to see those players get minutes under their belt too..
I missed the match guys.. does any1 have a link to extended highlights??
thanks
@ Fletch – are you feeling like a one hump or two hump camel? Not seen many prize camels, but I get your buzz – I am hoping our form will hold now – can’t see us doing a Chelsea of last year as depth, if we get into a nice rhythm that would be great.
Can’t find nothing on net about these mythical reports on our fans chanting Istanbul. It did happen, its not right but what do you expect? Over 40 years+ of Munich chants from this sort and they still go at it. They have to expect some retaliation. With leads scum track record it probably started because they sung Munich first.
If someone is calling your mum a dirty tramp for years and years because she’s a stripper and then you find out one day his mum is a whore, you’re not exactly going to let that one go are you?
Thats the best way to describe the sick chants between ourselves leads and the vermin. When cit-eh have a tragedy the piss will be promptly taken due to the amount of disrespect they have shown to those who died in Munich.
Its not nice or fair but if the authorities were that bothered then they would have done something about it in 1994 when Sir Matt died. In 2005 when George Best died. The authorities are more worried about if we call a player gay than human tragedies. This will always go on and all we as United fans can do is educate people, but not every man has the mental strength to be the bigger man and not bite back. It will never go away.
Under Qatari’s, we’ll probably have 10 managers in the next 15 years after SAF steps down.
Under Glaciers, We have our Profit pay their Debt.
We are kinda fucked both years, the best deal would be probably but very complicated;
Glacier own 60% of United Shares.
)
Qatari’s own 29%
Manchester United supporters Own 11% (Red Knights, fans, David Beckham
Would that work? Dividends would be split into 3 so It is probably very Unlikely. But in a ideal dreamland this would bring some kind of finanicial peace to United Supporters while maintaining our Global Brand and handing some ownership over to the fans
———–At Least we’re not as fucked as Chelsea and Shitty——– Roman fucked off as soon their players aged and now can’t afford to fund a new batch of “world class players”.—-Shitty make no profit as a business, Nobody attends their games, they’ll never have a fan base of 40,000. Those owners will fuck off when they are bored of their “mid life crisis buy” and Shityy will be back where they belong ,league 2.

Our fans in stadium 45 mins after game singing their hearts out. When I emerged from dressing room they sang ‘you scouse b*****d’! “
Off Topic:
Saw this joke, thought I share it here:
Fernando Torres has proved that scoring against De Gea is easier than scoring an empty post!
Doesn’t even make sense. If scoring against De Gea is so easy, how have we won every game he has played in? Some cretinous bitter must have come up with that one.
I’m happy for Michael, my idol and he’s so handsome
I thought this was reasonably amusing, “Berbatov quits football to become a gigolo”:

14 mins highlight, you are welcome
Let down by fans? Is that a joke. They were fucking superb tonight from start to finish. Fuck those munich chanting cunts. Had it for thirty years. Best away support in land.
Great performance and great to see Fryers perform like that at centre back. Oh the irony. The much maligned carrick and berba filling it at the back. Would love to see fucking nasri or sanchez do that. Valencia is a fuking top full back.
Owen best natural finisher about still. Giggs and fergie just genius`s.

There really is something different about united this season, i think the two champions league defeat has pushed sir alex to make some vital tweaking, we seem to have improved our passing and possession keeping, the tempo has risen, there is togetherness in the squad regardless if you’re on the pitch or not, we seem to have developed this versatility that makes player’s feel comfortable wherever they’re placed on the pitch (proven tonight e.t.c) like total football, its a long season ahead and it would be premature to make predictions but the future is bright.
Seems I dint miss muhc…but, pray tell me, how good are our kids? Any thoughts?
Good morning ROM,
the goal were Quality with a capital Q..
Sir Ryan Giggs, sticked it up their arse scums..
the whole team played lovely and amongst them i was more impressed by Diuof
The lad dint look that physical strong and matured in holding the ball two years ago, but he is now.
Cole has tremendous pace, hope fryers is all right.
good to see Danny Boy back
Park burst his lungs yet agaain..
i m sure Owen will be on the bench at stoke, he deserves to be, such a classy finisher still..
UNITED
Wonder if the bastards on the Sunday supplement and talk shite will mention the great result against the scum or the performance of our players. No of course not , sick chanting of Munich by opposition supporters is completely ignored as if it’s ok because it’s Manchester united, but as soon as any of our fans show any retaliation it’s jump on by the media. Of course you don’t want our fans to sing about people being killed but I wish the press would put it into perspective and tell of the decades of abuse and hate directed at us by other fans over Munich. Although unfortunate it’s going to happen that some of our fans want to hurt back. Best way to hurt scum supporters like Leeds is on the pitch like last night. Well done to the players the manager and the vast majority of the fantastic away support.
Emir, as Mel Brooks said “It’s good to be the King”
I want a World Cup here is a billion dollars for bribes.
I want a better team then the guy from the UAE.
http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/14893498.stm
Yup! Nothing about Munich, but one line reserved for the Istanbul chants.
King Eric, hello mate! Going to be a good day at work for you, isn’t it? Haha, revenge is sweet!
Morning ROM,
United Qatari takeover gaining momentum. Canal+ confirms a takeover is imminent.
“He does it all the time in training, he thinks he can play centre-half so he was probably the first to put his hand up when we lost our centre-half ” – it’s Berba! Just flawless
@StatesideAussie: The link you provided above re Berba’s gigolo potential was amusing. Another on the same page about Fulham and statues was positively hilarious, albeit a little non-PC…
http://lawnsports.wordpress.com/2011/09/18/fulman-to-erect-gary-glitter-statue/
Missed the match last night but got to follow it via RoM. Thanks guys for the updates. Dimitar oh-fucking- Berbatov. Classy mur4ka.
(To the old Spider-Man theme)
Berbatov, Berbatov
Makes the ball do whatever he wants
Will he shoot? Or will he pass?
That Bulgarian is oozing with class.
Look out! This is our Berbatov.
I thought Fryards was fantastic , so comfortable on the ball some of his long range passes didnt come off but he had the confidance to try them.He is a natural left footer which are as rare as rocking horse shit.Pogba look confidant to he stroles about like he owns the gaff such class at such a young age.
Berba oozes class. In more ways than one.
Doghouse @ 0:56, Top post. Agree completely with everything you’ve said on Carrick, Owen and Berbatov.
Gotta agree with the people praising Fryers. I thought he certainly looked the part of a centrehalf. He was big, strong and bulky and was definitely not easily outmuscled even though Leeds did not pose much of an opposition. I thought it was great that he repeatedly tried those long balls even though they didn’t come off. I am definitely interested in seeing more of this lad.
I thought Amos was also pretty good when asked to do a job. He looked confident when coming out to collect balls, and his handling of crosses was also pretty darn good. Again, Leeds weren’t much of a competition, but these are definitely positives for the future. He also released the ball quite soon at a few times which was great.
Overall, great game of football from us again. As I said, Sir Alex is showing intent in his team selection this season that he wants us to have that old swagger back. We had definitely lost that fear factor over the last couple of years. But now you know that teams will be afraid to know that Manchester United are in town. We’ve got that back – The Manchester United swagger of “Not arrogant, Just Better”. And I’m loving it!
Nice play by the team, and Owen is still hitman upfront, should may be play him more as a sub in the Premier League as well, instead of only in Cup games
Neil – Hello mate. It certainly is mate. They are strangely quiet. Scum.
Red Neck – No mate will they fuck mention it on Sunday Supp. Especially not that Fergie hating cunt Barclay. That cunts needs a fucking hiding. Slanderous bastards.
King Eric
They will probably blame Sir Alex for inciting hatred and call for united to be kicked out of the competition for not fielding his strongest side. Wouldn’t put it past the sour bastards.
Red Neck – Absolutely mate. That cunt Barclay said the other day Fergie is bad for the game and a bad example to young managers. Err what? Thats why every budding manager at some point has called Fergie for advice. He needs to get his tongue out of wengers arsehole. Fucking slanderous bastard.
Samuel @ 4:34: “There really is something different about united this season”
You’re right – the game is being played at a much, much higher tempo and there is a premium being placed on speed of action as well as speed of thought. And the “positional flexibility” is really good to see – these new guys and young kids are terrific footballers, first and foremost. I really like the fact that SAF seems more willing to let them “have a go” and allow their skill to flourish.
Few clubs can match the talent that UTD possess in the first team and in the squad. Imagine letting warriors like John O’Shea and Wesley Brown leave and saying good-bye to all-time greats like RedNev, Edwin and the Ginger Ninja and still being better to watch and getting better results. Simply amazing !
Great performance from the team.
berba is amazing wit it lofty touch and incredible passes, owen-evergreen, fryerr-sensational and great play from the whole team. That was our 2-3 sting game. FANTASTIC. We’re united
