looking forward to the match against boca juniors
are you going to live blog it Scott?

  2. boam6 says:

I think the 4 4 2 suits united so well I no it wasn’t the strongest opposition but were now playin towards our strengths once again were gonna challenge for everything! People say were weaker without ronnie and that other twat but I think we will move on and possibly be stronger

  3. Bob Koh says:

Thanks for the video Scott! After seeing L’pool thrashed S’pore 5-0, I just needed to see all the ManU goals.

  4. Drabik says:

Berbatov is something else! Wish I could have watched the whole match, but based on what I read from the liveblog and from what I have seen in the highlights, nani, berbatov and owen enjoyed that game today! I’m getting so excited for the start of the season!

  5. ash says:

I want to see rooney and owen play 2gether. but this is becoming interesting day by day.

  6. gotta hate tiny tears says:

    remember me
berbatov is crap and lazy united should sell him and use the money to sign tevez up . i think this is one of fergies big money flops and he’s keeping tevez out of the squad . SELL BERBATOV-from stupid united fans from a few months ago

  7. gotta hate tiny tears says:

by the way i wasnt one of those but they are all gone away now

  8. sagar says:

must say Nani seems to be having a good preseason!!a fair number of assists and a couple of goals.
lets hope he can carry this form into the new season.

  9. Androo says:

When will we see Owen and Roo together?

  10. ModoB. says:

    Berbatov on fire…

  11. ash says:

    @ghtt
yeah now where are the berba haters.ran away.

  12. venu says:

Nani did good and Berba’s touches are amazing!!!

  13. willem says:

united were class, granted opponents weren’t of the highest calibre but the sheer quality of our play would have notched us a few against any team. hopefully nani and berba will build on this for the season ahead, if they play like this every week its quite a mouthwatering prospect!

  14. ash says:

i am saying this will be nanis true season. i wont say he will be the next ron but he will become one of the best in europes.

  15. FCShambles says:

Berbatov is a class above. I hope he can keep up tonight’s form throughout the season. Fans kept slagging him off last season, but he was just trying to settle in.

Also, it was nice to see Nani get a goal and have a class assist on Berba’s goal.

  16. Don says:

    Whooaaaaa…..

    Now thats a drubbing..
    5-0 well ok..we wud top that too…
    Take that KOP!!

    BTW kaizer chefs(oops..chiefs)1 – Shitty 0 ..

  17. aig alex is god says:

missed the match cmpletely.still nt back home can someone summarize the match for me please.thanks in advance.rooney didnt play?nt on scoresheet.

  18. denton davey says:

That was like shooting fish-in-a-barrel. Impossible to make an “judgements” but some of those goals were real peaches.

This level of opposition makes Berbatov look other-worldly; the real question about him is can he do it consistently against better defenders ?

What next for Nani ? hard to say but IF Tosic can secure the left wing position then Nani will get his chance to win the right wing job from Valencia – and that’s his proper position since his left leg is a “chocolate leg” as the Dutch like to say.

    Cristiano who ?

  19. theboogeyman says:

denton davey,The hell is a chocolate leg?!?
    Anyway,to sum up:
    Berbatov is brilliant.
Nani will come into his own.
Owen will score goals like the 1st one, that’s what we signed him for.
    Rooney is awesome.
That kid Giggsy is gonna do well in the future.
    Tosic is small.
    Tevez is bitter.
    As are City.

  20. Anon says:

8 GOALS?! OF ALL THE MATCHES I CHOSE TO MISS, I HAD TO MISS THIS! :(
ok guys. GIGGS GOT A HAT TRICK?! my my. can’t wait to see the videos. but why didn’t rooney score?! how was Nani? How was Tosic?

  21. ash says:

    anon and aig
y didnt u click the link and see the match. nani was brilliant and berba proving his worth. rooney came in the second half i thought was ok.

  22. jespermoses says:

    Nanis goal was a peach…

    training ground stuff though.

  23. Jorgen says:

Nani has all the possibilities to to become one of the top five players in the world! He is fast, has great technique, has a strong frame and is in my mind better at getting past defenders one on one than Ronaldo. Hopefully Rooney and him can drag eachother on towards becoming the next number 1′s!

  24. sagar says:

is it true that this was giggs first ever hattrick?

  25. Aidan Casserly says:

Over the moon with this performance … reminds me of Utd of the early days .. the team looks very focussed .. not over the top smiles when the goals went in. I think SAF has drilled it into them, that everone wants Utd to fail this season because of the ‘departures’ and beating 18 PL titles .. (including 4 in a row) .. this all bodes very well for the winning mentality requireed to ‘create history’ this year!! Row on the next series of pre-season matches …

  26. denton davey says:

boogeyman – when Robin Van Persie scored one (v RentBoyz ?) with his right leg he said it was surprising because his right leg is his “chocolate leg” and when asked to explain he merely said that what Dutch footballers call their weaker leg.

Jorgen – don’t get carried away with Nani’s performance; consider the context/opposition. The guy has bags of potential but he has not yet harnessed it – and HIS left leg is made of chocolate !

  27. JTrappe says:

All the berba haters are eating humble pie, after eating up all of big time charlie’s “i love you, i only want to play for you” bullsh*t, this is the reason Berba kept hermen munster out of the starting 11 last season. The prophet fergie said wait and see Dimi when he has a full pre season under his belt. We haven’t seen the best of him yet, i think with Owen he’s has what he had with keane, i know its a bit soon but i’m looking forward to watching the Birmingham game from the stands now only 4weeks left for the start of the season and i cannot wait to see united in full flow

  28. clewesy1991mufc says:

Loving the fact that all the berbatov haters are nowhere to be seen now :D In Fergie We Trust

  29. Gotta hate tiny tears says:

Wow it was giggs first hatttick my god

  30. venu says:

Jorgen, hild your horses mate! Nani is good but top 5?!! Long as he gets enough assists and chips in with a few goals….. I had to defend Berba throughout last season to my mates here, they all were rooting for the cunt argie!!!
Sheer class!!! When you can do that, there is no need for headless chickens!!!

  31. venu says:

Jorgen, hold your horses mate! Nani is good but top 5?!! Long as he gets in enough assists and chips in with a few goals….. I had to defend Berba throughout last season with my mates here, they all were rooting for the cunt argie!!!
Sheer class Berba!!! When you can do that, there is no need for headless chickens!!!

  32. Buildabonfire68 says:

People will say its because of the quality of the opposition. But all 4 of uniteds strikers have excellent on this tour. Seoul were actualy a very good side. Lot easier today though. Even Tevez could of bagged one.

  33. Red.Shanks says:

hope nani can maintain and improve more based on this match…remember when he dribbles all the arsenal player he was brilliant, but after that…hope he can maintain this level of performance…

  34. Wayne hamilton says:

Berba class act still think we need some one like ashley young in for the left side.Anderson would need some shooting lessons.hopefully all us fans will get behind berbatov this season .

  35. Costas says:

I leave the house for a few hours and i miss all the good stuff. I don’t think they were a great opposition, but it will do players like Nani and Berba a world of good. Has Giggsy ever scored a hat trick before?

  36. Tony Starks says:

Our players of the season will be Berba and Fletch – mark my words!

  37. Gotta hate tiny tears says:

No costa I’ve done my research and that was his first

  38. Costas says:

Hey GHTT! I saw your message during the game! I hope you didn’t get caught, lol! I was particulary pleased with Nani’s contribution. As far as the Berba flick? Tevez can do that for fun hey?

  39. sanj says:

ghtt, where is micheal, the leader of the berba haters? haven’t seen him in awhile.

  40. Gotta hate tiny tears says:

Ha ha ha remember micheal. He’ll be back under the profile name berbagod . Costa I was in the toilet for about 20 mins till someone wanted to know if I wanted tea

  41. aig alex is god says:

ash mate i had gone out.cnt acess that on my cel phone.neither can i open scotts live blog.however i cud read the comments and cme to know the scre and scrers

  42. Costas says:

Hehe, busted hey? I also missed Scott’s live blog due to my father hogging all the bandwith! I can’t wait to see a United game again. The last one i have seen is the CL final. It’s been too long.

  43. sanj says:

HAHAHA berbagod. i might change my name to that.

  44. jamos9 says:

Denton davey; Nani’s choclate leg finished off that move quite nicely not bad for his swinger :)

  45. TheMightyReds says:

I could never understand the Berba haters, and this shows why. Berba>Tevez! I was actually wondering who should I get on my United shirt and this has just confirmed who i’ll be gettin! Berbatov! Can’t wait till he rips up the Premiership!

  46. sanj says:

@themightyreds, i’ll already got nis name on the back of one of my kits. trust me, he won’t disappoint you. i can’t stop watching his flick to owen. CLASS. plain and simple.

  47. King Eric says:

    JTrappe – 3 weeks mate.

Berbatov will become a legend. genius. cool. charismatic . class.

  48. King Eric says:

ghtt, costas, sanj – I had forgot about Michael. Is he manunitedchampions2008? Also there was Gary who wasn’t keen.

  49. paddy says:

owen’s second was quality, berbz had a look, two touches and owen chests it then volleys with second touch.

they looked well together didnt they.

how the fuck did evra miss that one near the end?????

maybe we dont need anyone after all.

  50. MUFC the Religion says:

    @ buildabonfire68

    “Even Tevez couldve bagged one”.

    Doubt it.

Ryan Giggs is the greatest football player in history. FACT.

  51. Costas says:

Hey King Eric. I can’t wait for the Germany tournament now. There will be some tougher tests for our lads, but we migth be seeing 2-3 players stepping up to the plate at last. And Valencia hasn’t debuted yet!

  52. Wayne hamilton says:

We have to go to Germany now and then a home match against Valencia is there a major signing on the way ribery, silva, villa.watch this space.

  53. Gotta hate tiny tears says:

    When’s the next game??

  54. Wayne hamilton says:

    Wed 5oclock

  55. Gotta hate tiny tears says:

    Busby bless yA

  56. NicoQB says:

What’s with the crap hair-metal muzak in the background though?

  57. theboogeyman says:

Hahahahaha forgot about micheal and gary and all. While were on the subject of asswarts, does anyone remember the dipper jon?He was on here in March for sometime and he and Costas kept arguing.

Oh fuck,I’d have given anything to see that dipper’s faces after we won the league. That retard actually thought they were going to beat us to the league.

denton davey-Stupid Dutch people! :) (No offense meant to any Dutch people on here)

  58. Gotta hate tiny tears says:

Berbatov is magic he wears a magic band and when he saw old trafford his future it was planned he didn’t sign for Madrid or city cause there shite they sign foram united fergie met him off the flight

  59. wdkf says:

berbatov reminded me cantona. his touches were on. hopefully he can bring that kind of magic to the premier league this season, it was a joy to watch.

  60. parth312 says:

High class stuff from the guys today. Although it was against a lowly rated side, still this is what we would want from pre-season matches. No major injuries (touchwood) and a very good, fit squad. Looking forward to a few things this season

    1) Nani : finally he has understood the art of passing the ball to players in a better position. And he has managed to score a goal in some different way, rather than his normal Run up the flank, cut inside and shoot for goal tactic. If he keeps up this kind of work rate and intelligence, valencia will have a hard time getting in to the team.

    2) Berba: Still a lazy arse, but with a touch like that you dont need to run all day long like a duracell bunny (i am looking at you, Mr Tevez). Long way to go towards justifying his transfer fee, but i think this season he will get there. No need for him to drop deep now that Ronnie has left. Go on berba, best luck

    3) Owen: Good pre-season, looks fit (touchwood again). hopefully no injuries and 15-20 goals from our number 7

    4) Fletcher: He is the midfield battler now, atleast until Hargo returns to full match fitness. He has improved immensely over the last 2 years. This has to be his year.

    5) Ando: Potential, potential, potential. Here’s hoping he has a much better season. And please please score. Even if it is an own goal.

    6) Macheda: Superstar in the making. If he gets some gametime, and he will if he keeps on going this way, then its safe to say he will get us some good goals. only 17 and what a talent !!

  61. ashwinurao says:

    Berba is class…. ’nuff said.

  62. aig alex is god says:

which teams are we playin in audi cup.boca juniors and?

  63. parth312 says:

Either Bayern Munich or Ac Milan, depending on their result

  64. The Continental says:

    Well hello there.

It seems that you lot have been entranced by the sheer beauty of my Berba-skills. Or was it my mugnificent receding widow’s peak which captured your whole attention? I know the Greentown boys were in awe of it!
It allowed me plenty of time to spread passes here, there and everywhere. HA-ha! You didn’t expect me quoting the beatles, did you?

Anyway, I’m off for now. My cousin Timitar Berbatov has rigged some cctv cameras in the ladies’ rooms in the stadium. Oh! I can just picture the chinese women dying to get lots of Berba-love. Not like the time we went to Bangkok and got duped by the ladyboys.

    But that’s another story.

  65. aig alex is god says:

parth312.thanks mate.hope we do well.cnt wait to see valencia tearing down the wings

  66. parth312 says:

anytime mate. Ya cant wait for valencia to show his stuff. He will give good competition to Nani. I actually want to see Tosic doing well this season. he is just 21 and he is pretty darn good.

  67. Costas says:

@Boogeyman: You remember Jon? Oh my, what a twat! Pity he never came back, so that we could have some more fun with him!

  68. Cantona7 says:

I hope all the Berbatov-haters will see why fergie signed him. He is absolute class above any other footballer. Now that he has a good pre season under his belt, he will be a nightmare to any opponent’s defender. He just need 1 simple touch to change the course of game. Remind us of certain Mr. Eric…Ooh La la….

  69. cantona7 says:

all the berba hater+”fergie sign him up” singers are stupid supporters. that is the summary. If you happen to be in one of those two categories, question yourself. If you happen to be in both of those categories, there are no words enuff for you. “disgrace” is a disgrace to describe you. that is how much i hate you.

  70. Costas says:

And i am glad SAF said that he will play him more advanced this season. A wise move!

  71. Drew Vader says:

How did my main man Fabio look today at right back??

Oh yeah, I’m thinking of changing my name to Darth Fabio…. thoughts??

  72. Costas says:

I have gotten used to you like this Drew! It will be like talking to a different person.

I haven’t said a stat in a long time, but i think this the first time that Fabio played a first team match and didn’t come off injured! Yay! I am kidding of course. I like him a lot!

  73. Ulster Red says:

can anyone tell me what was on the owen banner in the crowd??

  74. jessetto says:

ando nearly scored as well hes getting closer lol

  75. Wayne hamilton says:

I see we might be making a bit for silva when he comes home from holidays .good signing he can play left side right side and as a second striker.

  76. gotta hate tiny tears says:

    wayne hamilton and everyone really
i am getting word from a few people with not definitive evidence but that david silva is on his way
i kinda reported it a few days ago because of some people but im getting messages and emails alot and i think there is too much smoke going on , so much so that im thinking of a chant today for him to teach my little bestie. something along the lines of waltzing matilda
but as i say ive no news of fire
but alot of talk about fire

  77. TinManUnited says:

What are the odds on Anderson not scoring a single competitive goal for United this season. The boy is unlucky. I hope he bags one soon as this will give him a lot of confidence.

  78. jessetto says:

gonna score 10 next year all 35 yarders

  79. shaf says:

berbatov today was a bit like iniesta in european final, berbatov is class, i cudnt believe we actually signed because i know he is quality, and thats always going to shine out, best of luck berba, this season is urs and waynes. Get in Son

  80. MUFC the Religion says:

I can see Ando scoring the most ridiculous first goal. Maybe an over head kick from 30 yards. Or a Wazza vs Newcastle volley type.

  81. jessetto says:

    haha hope so

  82. gotta hate tiny tears says:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UvAxRlsaCUM
Costa buddy this is for you
    FA CUP 1985

  83. The Continental says:

Tosic with a stetson hat = Jake Gyllenhall in Brokeback mountain.

  84. Drew Vader says:

haha thanks Costas, I’m just looking for a way to show my allegiance to the Da Silva twins.

  85. knightsmith says:

“Berbatov is brilliant, simple as, anyone who says anything else is talking through their arses”
A quote from my mate Mark, who supports Crystal Palace Nil, halfway through last season when I was having my doubts.

    How right he was!

  86. Costas says:

Thaks GHTT. As always, Emily is adorable! I also thanked you under the video. What a goal that was! I remember seeing on BBC in preparation for the 95 final. The day i became a fan was when we lost at IFK Gothenburg in 94.

  87. Ando8 says:

That flick by fabio over 1 of the oppositions attackers then headed it to fletch was just ridiculous frm a wing back and the guy just looks so comfortable with the ball

  88. KJ says:

Sir alex doesnt seem to want to play Rooney and Owen together, they’re always subbed for each other. Same for Berba and Macheda.

  89. dauf says:

best player : Berbatov, assist, nice touch, passing and scored also..

  90. United_Macedonia says:

    viva berbatov

  91. Anon says:

I hope we face Milan… Ribery would destroy Evra :( … or, we could always give Fabio a run out against Bayern (if we meet) and see what the kid is made of…

  92. King Eric says:

Anon – I disagree, Evra is looking sharp and back to his best, he would have the ugly bastard in his back pocket.

  93. owen is seven says:

hi all. i thought owen was sharp as we expected he should be. berba’s touch was mouth watering. i never thought it is giggs 1st hattrick. couldnt it be? such a legend. that boy anderson seems want to break his scoring duck but i dunno why, he just couldnt. i really think he would be a scoring midfielder for us one day. cant wait for the season to start again. :)

  94. Anon says:

Well mate I could easily be wrong, coz I haven’t really SEEN us play these friendlies, just the online commentary. But obviously I would just love it if Evra were back to the kind of form he showed early last season!

  95. Anon says:

btw where is Giggsy’s third goal?

  96. aig alex is god says:

    anon

.i agree as well as disagree wid u. evra’s form has dipped a wee bit since 07-08 season.still he is the best in the world.so it dosent matter all that much

  97. gotta hate tiny tears says:

    nani chant??

  98. Anon says:

AIG the argument is not about whether Evra is the best in his department, but whether he can handle Ribery. He had some trouble against Lennon didn’t he, and others too down the left flank. I am just worried about his dip in form…

  99. aig alex is god says:

. ribery is better than lennon, but then evra knws ribery vey well.we may also need park to help evra out.

I feel if u are the best u shud be able to handle anybody and everybody.lennon, ribery, messi, etc etc etc etc etc .

  100. aig alex is god says:

    ghtt

good morning mate.u gotta chant for every united player?

  101. gotta hate tiny tears says:

i think emily does apart from nani i could be wrong
i dont think wes brown has been recorded
i was lookin for a nani chant
i was thinkin of he nonny nonny by the violent femmes

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H09SVbk8IZk

  104. aig alex is god says:

    brilliant video as usual.

  105. aig alex is god says:

anybody got any news on david silva?the daily mail says we have mad a bid for david villa.cant believe it.must be rubbish.

  106. King Eric says:

Morning people. Do people not understand what United are all about? Some idiot emailed talk sport this morning saying that the dippers and rentboys have better SQUADS than us? They said that the likes of Giggsy and Scholes are past it and would never get in their squads. Ignorance is bliss. It is because of these types of lads that we do win titles. Idiots. A United fan called in and said we will struggle as he has been watching the Asia tour and Owen looks poor? What the fuck?

Meanwhile the cunts are bigging up Mr Chelsea for staying! Laughable.

  107. aig alex is god says:

    @king eric

    good morning

u must be talking to a insane fan..

    VDS,foster ,kusczak

    rio,vida,brown,rafael,nev,oshea,fabio,rafael,evans,da laet,evra

    valencia,tosic,carrick,fletch,ando,nani,giggs,scholes,hargo(in Sept),gibson,obertan

    owen,berba,wazza,kiko,welbeck

can anyone match that.dats why we went nearly all the way in all competitons last year.Bcoz of the squad.

  108. gotta hate tiny tears says:

    didnt they hate the
“old, doggy back, over rated, done nothing in 2 years, sell him get the money ,should be more like united and cut away the bad in a team ”
on there chelsea fan forum like 2 weeks ago

  109. gotta hate tiny tears says:

    maybe i imagined it

  110. Shayne says:

berba’s touch is superb he does it so easy that back hill to nani looks so lazy but perfect not even ronny did back hills that smooth

  111. aig alex is god says:

    ghtt

what are u talking abt?didnt get u there.

is it abt the great john terry?

  112. gotta hate tiny tears says:

yeah chelsea fans turned on sir john of terry in a heart beat

  113. African Red says:

Am still finding it hard to see the best goal in that match, i mean they were all that good. though am seeing rooney on the wings again this season. the way Berba and Owen played together made me think that SAF may start them upfront.
Thanx for the vids scott, next ime i will remember to add fuel for my generator. i still cant believe that we were load shedded(Africa) 10 mins before the math and power returned 10 mins after the match(the engineer must be a liverpool fan)

  114. The Binocular says:

    Nice set of videos.

Nos sure how much you can read into games like this.
