Ferdinand has been wonderful for us for so long and he goes off form and all of a sudden hes getting abuse left right and centre

I remember when scott posted a thread about rio launching his own magazine and everyone was going “Oh rio looks like a fucking pimp” blah blah and now that hes off form the same people are going oh hes a bloody disgrace!

If a lad cant have fun in the off season after winning the Premiership,Carling Cup,Club World Cup(some of those he raised the trophy as captain)…sigh.

@Always Be Closing – you asked why it is different if you say it to them, as they called Rio a prick/tosser/cunt. Well, they did so because they didn’t like his behaviour in the video, but also because it’s highly unlikely that Rio Ferdinand ever reads this blog and would reply back to the insults, whereas if you replied back calling them cunts for calling Rio a cunt they’ll get back at you and hurl abuse for insulting them, and it will just go on and on. Which is why you should have diasgreed politely. We’re utd fans and shouldn’t have a go at each other, like aig alex is god said.

Just know that I understand your anger and I agree that this rapping shit is got nothing to do with us, it’s just showing him enjoying himself on a holiday. Scott even put in in the ‘Just for fun’ section. I find it embaressingly funny.

@Always Be Closing – you could’ve put your point across without having to insult and name a few people on this blog “cunts”. Everyone has a different mind and an different outlook to life and a different opinion.

Although I have to disagree with the majority of you. This video isn’t the reason for his bad room, neither is the film premieres he’s attending, and neither is it from any of his off field activites and hobbies. He’s free to do what he wants to do in the holidays. We can’t tell him to stop having fun, or tell him to not get involved in movie-making. It’s his decisions and he’s responsible for the consequences, so why the need to insult him when he’s one of the most important players in our team. It’s because of his injured back, which has been a long standing problem, since last year. This is the reason for his bad form. In the games he’s played since that back injury he had to be careful to play safely so not to pull any of his back muscles to not make it worse/trigger pain. Apparently, he’s been told he might need surgery, and I think this should have happened time ago.
