  2. RedScot says:

I admit I covered my eyes and thought ohhh no wayne you dont need this mate with all the hassle you are being subjected to.He had the balls and like a true top professional football player as calm as you like slots the ball away and sends the keeper the wrong way. That was pressure and he stood up to the challenge.World class.

  3. RedDevi1z says:

He was always going to put that one away…

  4. RedScot says:

Jaysus thats a given he would put it one way.Or otherwise he does not score. Its no fucking tricky is it!

  5. FletchTHEMAN says:

Thats 25 in CL for Rooney. England record. Well done Rooney!

  6. FletchTHEMAN says:

    Pen for Rooney. 2zip United…..

26 CL Goals 2 more than Scholes. Well done!

  7. JC says:

2nd half of pure comedy from a refereeing pov, at least he was decent enough to award those blatant pens but no red on the deliberate hand ball hwhen chicarito

  8. JC says:

Chicarito would have scred and rhen a pretty silly red on Vidic after non carding the dangerous tackle on Nani was ridiculous

  9. hurr says:

A win is a win but what a boring sight that was. Sigh, games where the team just clicked are far and few this past few months.

  10. super united from old trafford says:

now focus on sunday boys all we need is a fk loud old trafford make their ears bleed and we will win it no doubt and fuck all the carrick haters this guy is just class when we re under pressure in midfield he just calms everyone down like we were after the vidic red card andersson is fk frustrating he never close down omn players

  11. Norway Devil says:

puuuh…only positive is the 3 points, then again they are what its all about! just hope we can get our form kicking in ASAP!!

  12. WillieRedNut says:

There you go with those magic balls again RedScot. ;) Well done Wazza!

  13. RedScot says:

Willie leave ms balls out of this, they basically are currently filled with cheap Cider and i need a slash. brb

  14. WillieRedNut says:

My girls had a sackful. Potatos, that is. :)

  15. RedScot says:

ffs i imagine Golden wonder, a bit salty and fucking real cheesy

  16. WillieRedNut says:

    Prawn Cocktail. Yum yum.

  17. Devil310 says:

Didn’t that hand ball deserve a RED card? he was certainly the last man. Not sure if that rule applies to handballs but that was as blatant as you could get

  18. FletchTHEMAN says:

Devil310 Spot on. You may recall Scholes got a straight red for a “clearly playful” handball.

As to the rest of yuz, jaysus mates. Its a win after all. Like painting a smile on an onion listening to you lot!

whenever we play Carrick in the mid, we’re always lack in creativity and tenacity… Ando had to create all the moves himself. Yes i know most of you will say: Hey wait a minute, carrick was solid and high success pass rate etc. Well fuck that. Statistic does not always show the bigger picture. Of course carrick played sollidly and pass the ball with high success rate, because what he does is something that a 12 year old sunday football players do. Might as well put a pole in the middle of the field, it will do just as good a job.

    We need another midfielder….

With each passing game the problems in MF become more noticeable.
At one time I thought Anderson might be the answer – provided he was given a run in the team to show his ability. But its apparent that he’s not the long term answer.
So who could Fergie turn to?
Give Jones and Cleverley (when fit) a spell to see how they play as a unit?
    Draft Pogba into the team?
Or start seriously looking for a creative MF to sign in January?
Rumours are still floating around that the Brazilian Ganso might be available. Never having seen him play its impossible to say if he’d be the answer.
But one thing is gradually becoming apparent. The MF needs improvement because with the present set-up the season might be a struggle.

Tonights game reminded me a lot of last years CL group stage vs. Rangers @ OT. Rangers parked the bus for 90mins playing for the point, with the exception of looking for an occasional counter. Same story tonight only quality of side opposition was different. Once we got the breakthough it could have been 3 or 4 if the ref hadn’t mugged us off. Job done as far as I’m concerned. These games can often prove tricky.

  22. voice of reason says:

    @izzy

go FUCK urself. Carrick had a good game, r u blind to the amount of interception and tackles he put in?
This was a typical United in these group games, patience is the word.

  24. reDalerT says:

oh, and what is the deal with berbatov? he’s not getting any game time.. this is heartwrenching//

  25. idunu_mufc says:

CARRICK haters go fuck tree. The guy was the best in the game yesterday

  26. Gerriered says:

Hiya Izzy, you are very hard on Carrick, he put in a very decent performance imo. As for ROO, well congrats and the pens were well executed too. Phew, nervy but at least we got 3 points.

  27. Sabada says:

I think carick played very well yesterday.

  28. Marq says:

Carrick played well, not sure what game the slating him was watching. Instead, one should look at Anderson. Vidic’s red card came from one of the many loose passes Anderson made
