  1. AlphaRS says:

Rooney would never get a cross like that at United.

  2. Kings says:

Has to play through the middle next season, he clearly enjoys that role. I mute the celebrations, hearing the cunts chant his name is cringeworthy, as they insist on abusing him when he plays for United. Hat-Trick’s on. Keep up the good work Wayne.

  3. confoundedbridge says:

Yes, no one at United is capable of crossing a ball as well as Glen Johnsen.

  4. Ulster Red says:

    get beckham back

  5. Don Pablo says:

When will Sir stop holding Wayne back and unleash him to the world? We need him playing upfront behind the CF, no ifs no buts. Rooney has what it takes to carry the team on his own, and unlike a certain Portugese, he loves the team.

  6. five says:

Do remember Zoran Tosic was bought into the team and one of his major assets was said to be his dead ball crosses..perhaps hes the answer?

  7. AlphaRS says:

    @confoundedbridge

Er whether they are capable or not isn’t the question.

Playing 4-3-3 means Rooney plays left wing. The rest is easy to work out….

  8. King Eric says:

Why the fuck has Capello taken him off? So he can’t get his hat trick and steal the headlines tomorrow? Can’t have him stealing Saint Stevies, Fat Lumpard or Tiny Tears’s thunder. Cunts. Fuckin Defoe is not fit to lace Wazzas boots. No interest whatsoever now. At least he took Gerrard off as well. Will he ever produce for Ingerlund? I put on last thread but when Wayne bagged his first I am sure that daft steel band did the tune of “white Pele”?

  9. corea says:

yes, we don’t play against Andorra

  10. Ulster Red says:

so if ther was no united players on 2nite, most of use wudnt have any interest??

  11. Anant says:

Ulster Red – in a word – no

  12. Scott the Red says:

I stopped watching when Wayne went off.

  13. corea says:

    I didn’t even watch it.
I stopped watching England U21 when Fraizer left the field.

  14. Ulster Red says:

fair enough lads..u shud watch norn iron and jonny evans and co!

  15. Anderson8 says:

Seeing rooney doing so well irretates me because he could do the same for us but he is played as a wingback by SAF which makes me realy not like SAF

  16. guidedbyunited says:

Why can’t Rooney ever get such delivery for United?

  17. colla says:

he is still not world class not even close

  18. Costas says:

I know it was Andorra, but Glen Johnson looks like he has made big strides in the past year.Roomey has scored lots of goals like these this season. He has learned well to play in the middle. His wing days are surely over.

  19. Ohhh_Ahhh says:

Did anyone hear the boo’s that Beckahm was getting in the last 15 minutes of the game?! What the FUCK was that about, fucking idiots.

  20. wazza says:

Rooney just enjoys his role in the hole behind the striker. he can express more and be deadly for the opposition.
@colla : are you a dipper or bitter ? jealous of Rooney ? just fuck off

  21. Ohhh_Ahhh says:

If Rooney was to play this postion for united, what formation should we go for. I’d say that Ronnie should lead the line.

  22. Ulster Red says:

    ronnie wazza

    berba

    anderson fletch carrick

    evra vidic ferdinand rafael

    van der sar

    jus my opinion

  23. Haydar says:

@Ohhh_Ahhh: Nah rooney cant lead, we saw that last season.. He’s and excellent striker and all theres no deniying it but hes not an out and out striker. He need to play right behind someone like Ruud. Maybe Berbatov can be turned into that?
And i couldnt make out the boos to becks in the end i thought it was “shoot” like when scholsey gets the ball.. Wonder what that was about..?

  24. Costas says:

Actually Ulstra Red’s system is what i proposed on another topic. But i only suggested it in the case that Ronaldo leaves.I put a new striker alongside Rooney.

  25. Ulster Red says:

but if he was 2 stay? costa?

  26. Ohhh_Ahhh says:

Shoot, of course…my mistake, did think it was odd that they would being booing the ledge. I wouldnt mind another season of Becks, he’d be pretty useful soming off the bench and creating those special moments. Wonder if Fergie would go for it ?! I meant Ronaldo lead the line, not Rooney!

  27. arsene wenger says:

easy guys, hows it going? rooneys goals werent bad, sherrigham reckons he was nodding down for crouch but i reckon he was just slottin it far post myself

  28. Costas says:

If he was to stay,i would put him back on the wing and Rooney-Berbatov in attack.Another solution would be to play him and Rooney together and play that 4-3-1-2 system that we suggested.I can’t see how we are going to play a regular 4-4-2 with Rooney and Ronaldo up front because we don’t have enough wingers to play there.

  29. Jack says:

    @Ohhh_Ahhh

They was saying shoooooooooot i think, becks had a class game and well done rooney

  30. arsene wenger says:

you know something costas,i think ronaldo will leave, someone in a good place told me kaka will sign for madrid last january when man city were talking about him, and also i was reminded 2 weeks ago, my source is pretty good an he reckons that from what he hears ronaldo will be next and has already agreed quite a bit of stuff with madrid

  31. Costas says:

    @arsene wenger:

You could be right.Today we have heard some stuff that indicate that.Funnily enough, the only person who hasn’t created any noise this time around is Ronaldo.

  32. Red_Ruth says:

Arsene Wenger…Unless your source is SAF then i dont believe it!

  33. arsene wenger says:

costas,i have a friend who worked for arsenal for quite a lot of years since a trainee, not a player, and he is now employed by real madrid,he also told me that mr wenger was having meetings with madrid before the press knew, from what he understands perez has in place 4 galactico signings, kaka, ronaldo, and 2 more, maybe villa and maybe that guy liverpool wanted from valencia,i dunno

  34. arsene wenger says:

red truth, nah its not sir alex, and im not sayin they are done deals, but im only sayin what is being said withing the club by a lot of staff, fergie is all good but really its up to the player

  35. Costas says:

As i said aw, you could be right.I have been telling myself that i should expect the worse for a while now.The Valencia player you mentioned,is probably SilvaI have to say that Perez hasn’t learned his lesson. He is buying all these attack minded players and he isn’t looking foir a holding midfielder. The Galacticos’ downfall was when Makelele left.

  36. Gudjohnsen says:

@ Costas – I agree, Real should rather be chasing Essien or similar players like him…

  37. arsene wenger says:

valencia is a good player,i still think ron wont have the bottle to tell fergie he wants out,if he does wanna move

  38. arsene wenger says:

well this is the thing about perez and madrid, now they have to deal with barca, they were only galacticos when barca were shyt,no one elsein that league is competing financially

  39. Costas says:

Actually aw i wonder whether the Glazers will have the bottle to tell him.It will make his line about not selling Real a virus look like a joke. And the media will have a field day with that one.

  40. Costas says:

Barca are also doing rush unwise moves. They are losing Toure and probably Eto and they are looking to bring in Ibrahimovic.Ibra is a good player(not world class obviously) but i think that he could ruin their attacking play.

Back to Real. The funny thing is that Perez might not even be consulting his manager.Every manager would love to have Kaka and Ronaldo but Pellegrini might want something different for the team.

  41. arsene wenger says:

i think fergie knows that he would be seen as selling to them as long as the club accepts a bid while ronaldo stays quiet, where as if ronaldo says he wants to leave or even he doesnt want to stay at man utd then it will be more seen as fergie letting ronaldo leave than selling him to real, theres no way fergie will let ronaldo be sold without a transfer request, that would be seen as selling

  42. Chris20LEGEND says:

Same cunts that chant “you fat bastaaad” fucking inbreds

  43. arsene wenger says:

to be honest i dont think pelegrini has a choice, all these technical directors decide, pelegrini will just coach the players that turn up

  44. arsene wenger says:

if barca lose toure they will struggle if simular things happen next season because i think he played centre back better than their 1st choice centre backs, especially against chelsea

  45. Ohhh_Ahhh says:

I dont think Ronaldo has the nerve to put in the transfer request while SAF is still here. Realistically i see SAF being here for 3 more seasons max. Ronaldo will only be 27 (the so called peak of a players career) no doubt that the Facists will still want him then.

  46. Costas says:

Well whatever is going to happen with Ronaldo,it has to happen quickly. If he is going to be sold,75 million won’t be of much use if we leave it late.

    Did you watch England arsene?

  47. arsene wenger says:

ohhhh ahhhh see thats what i think,i was just suprised by certain other info coming true,it will be interesting over the next few weeks i think

  48. arsene wenger says:

costas i watched kind of one eye on the game and just sorting out some other stuff, to be honest the game was a bit of a joke,i dont really get into the international game, i like to see the big teams or big players face off but i dont really enjoy international weeks durin the season but at the same time im glad theirs football to watch on now

  49. arsene wenger says:

75 mill could buy you tevez and huntelaar and valencia, plus maybe get a royston drenthe thrown in (dunno if i got that name right)

  50. Drew Vader says:

IF he stays, (which F me I hope he does, and speaking of which it might be time to sacrifice another goat, the first one worked out splendidly for the champs league semi finals…) I would play Ronaldo and Rooney as our strikers in a 4-4-2. On the right wing, throw out either Nani or hell, since SAF is hell bent on getting him, Valencia. On the left wing, put out maybe one of the other of those two that aren’t on the right, or Tosic, or FABIO!!!

  51. Drew Vader says:

And why aren’t we in the running for Yaya?? I would love it if Hargo came back and was fit and could run around like a crazy person for us, but that is doubtful. So lets get some steel in the center of the park…

  52. arsene wenger says:

wouldnt suprise me if man utd were after toure, but i get the feeling its a brotherly link up their after, just not at arsenal

  53. Costas says:

I see aw.I don’t get into Internationals too much either. But i would watch them at times like this.

One thing about Ronaldo. Unless he signs a contract extention, then next summer he can buy out his contract for 12 million pounds. He won’t even have to hand in a transfer request. That’s what his whole thing has been about. That’s why i feel that this summer we will be tempted to sell him.

  54. Costas says:

Toure?I saw him for a year when he was playing in the Greek championship.Personally,i don’t think he has the pace or the bite to play in the Premiership.Maybe he has made progress in the last 3 years but those were my initial impressions of him.

  55. arsene wenger says:

its all about player power, players hidin behind agents, even the press pretty much decide who is for sale these days, all types of shady business in the football industry, the milans an madrid, clubs even engineer player sales an use their press people to make the player look like a culprit, when it happens then worry about it i say

  56. arsene wenger says:

wenger had song, denilson, toure an another guy named marco ne on trial,he paid 2 mill for song,4 mill for denilson an could have had the other 2 for free, marco ne was a 10 mill target for chelsea for a while but got a bad injury, and toure well i dunno what alex song did to him durin that trial, arsene must have made them have a dance-off

  57. Costas says:

I will let my Greek experience talk again.Marco Ne also played in Greece. Not good enough i say.In hindsight,Wenger chose the best 2 out of the 4.Toure turned out ok,but i am still not too fond of him.

There is definitely a lot more happening behind the scenes and no doubt some people will attempt to save face in all of this.As i said above, only one thing concerns me:the timing. If Ronaldo is going to leave,it must be done early so that we replace him as soon as possible.

  58. Drew Vader says:

I would still take De Rossi over Yaya

  59. Costas says:

Drew Vader:me too.Gattuso as well. And another player that hasn’t been mentioned a lot:Mahamadou Diarra of Real.

  60. arsene wenger says:

well i think it will be withing the next two weeks, costas, if ronaldo says he wants to leave i think fergie will give madrid a price, fergie has to stay in control,he cant be askin players to stay every year despite them signing contract extensions an pay rises which obviously fergie fought for them to be offered

  61. arsene wenger says:

de rossi is quality, its just that he is kinda the new totti (not in a playin sense) amongst the fans hero worship, hard to see him leaving roma

  62. arsene wenger says:

right about now il accept mathieu flamoney, denilson needs a couple years before he can play in such a young team,he needs either older heads to guide him on the pitch or he needs a good strong vocal captain

  63. Costas says:

That’s why i feel that De Rossi will never leave Roma. Because his love for the club is too strong. I think that experience comes with games,so this season must have helped Denilson get a grip.Next year he could be better with or without someone experienced next to him. Fergie did keep Ronaldo last year but as he found out in the City game, he had to make many compromises, which is something he hates doing. Who knows if he is still as adamant about keeping Ronaldo as he was 12 months ago.

  64. arsene wenger says:

i tell u what, theres a player in france eden hazard, that kid is special, like young ronaldo,he has the speed the tricks and the bottle, if man united sell ronaldo they should put a deposit on this kid, he even looks like ron at times, i watched him play a few times, i dunno what wenger is doing telling europe to leave him where he is to develope

  65. Drew Vader says:

Yeah De Rossi is a pipe dream. Don’t know who else would be out there that could do a job. I would love it to be English/Brit but I have no idea who that is.

And Diarra from Real? F that guy. He had his chance when we were interested in him during his time at Lyon and he wanted to go to Real instead. And I don’t think he’s that great to be honest. I would much rather get Las Diarra from the Virus.

  66. arsene wenger says:

funny thing is i like denilson and song but i still feel that denilson played more games than anyone else in our squad last season and its too much to go from bit part to 36 league games in the space of 8 months ,it took barry a long time to get reconition in that same zone so i think denilson will grow better but wenger has to deliver or go very close this season or it could be his head so id say he cant be waiting two years for denilson or song to really come good, cescs game relies on a ball winning player givin him service

  67. arsene wenger says:

theres something unconvincing about dolphin head diarra though, when we had him i just was not impressed although he didnt get a good run out

  68. Costas says:

Lassana Diarra would feel like sloppy seconds for me.I think that it was a blow for Arsenal to lose him but i think United can do better.Mahamadou Diarra has lost his way,but he was a good player on form.Ever noticed how every player that goes to the virus becomes a worse player before they are done with him?

Arsena Wenger, never heard of the kid.He probably does need to develop first. Some players take longer to mature than others.

  69. Rollins says:

I hope fergie’s watching how well rooney plays behind the point man in these england games.

  70. arsene wenger says:

this kid hazard has only really played his first first-team football this season costas, he is special, he has the tricks at high speed,he runs very upright like ronaldo but just like early ronaldo he can be one step over too many, fergie could turn this guy into ron, look him up,he will probably even be playin for belguim at the under 21’s, he has all kind of nicknames, baby messi, baby ronaldo, etc

  71. arsene wenger says:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VgrnZV0G16Y&feature=related costas i just looked on youtube for a clip, just turn the volume down if u watch

  72. Ohhh_Ahhh says:

seem like this “young ronaldo” title is pretty much deserved, the style of play looks so similar.

  73. arsene wenger says:

ohhh ahhh, you can tell this youngster loves ronaldo,he loves the step over, see but it takes bottle for a kid to step straight into first team football an play this way,i think this guy will make it, the 2010/2011 season he will either be at man utd arsenal barca or madrid,it wouldnt suprise me if he has already signed for one of us

  74. Ohhh_Ahhh says:

Great, also looks like he shares the same “dreams” as Ronaldo :”Real Madrid and Arsenal are the clubs I dreamed of joining as a child.” uncanny

  75. Costas says:

Thanks aw. He does look very impressive. I think that at some point a big club will snap him up. But you know how it is with young players. They can lose their way very easily. I remember the 98 world cup where a Brazilian by the name of Denilson shocked everyone with his talent. He went to Betis for a record transfer, but 10 years later he has done nothing.

  76. arsene wenger says:

lol no doubt he will get pestered by all the clubs, but wenger was saying clubs should leave him while he is happy for at least another year, in january i wanted to sign hazard not really arshavin,i love arshavin though

  77. arsene wenger says:

yeah i actually had a friend who changed his middle name to denilson because of that guy,he was a liverpool fan with the middle name denilson lol

  78. ChaosRed says:

    how old is this kid?

  79. arsene wenger says:

about 18, theres another kid named henry saviet who is better as well but i couldnt find a vid

  80. Costas says:

With his French connections, Wenger could make the move at anytime. If Real get him(even though he is under their age limit of 25),then that’s the end of him. I am still wondering why Wenger chose Nasri instead of Ben Arfa last summer.

  81. arsene wenger says:

the funny thing is costas its not just wenger, man united are followin into belguim and france the exact same way arsenal are, the only thing i worry about these youngsters because with liverpools new lower budget rafa might do one or two of them like he did babel, trust me,the amount of quality youth about to be unleashed it wouldnt suprise me if fergie was brushing up on a few french phrases right now

  82. arsene wenger says:

word on the streets is that nasri could play holding midfield next season and his first season he was played wide to get him up on the tempo costas

  83. Costas says:

Oh i see. Nasri didn’t have the best of games as a central midfielder at Old Trafford in the Ch.league but that must have been a learning experience for him. With him moving there, maybe Ramsey will go up the pecking order for one of the wing positions.

I don’t know if Liverpool can buy young hot talents. They are on a tight budget and they will want to use that to buy established players. The pressure is truly on for Mr Facts.

I will head off. Goodnight aw and everyone else.

  84. arsene wenger says:

costas have a good night, im a bit worried about the nasri situation but hey who knows, catch u next time! folks have a good night

  85. Drew Vader says:

AW — cheers for the heads up on turning down the volume… That song was awful

  86. King Eric says:

Tevez missed a pen, they could even struggle to qualify under the cheat. Valencia was supposed to be excellent second half.

  87. haruglory_911 says:

get rooney up front, buy glen johnson = trophies…

  88. wazza says:

@King Eric : are you on night shifts mate ?
seen you post comments a lot in the middle of the night, lol

  89. Kings says:

As soon as twat Capello took Wazza off, I switched over to SKY Sports 1 and watched the twenty20 cricket.

  90. rooney_thebestest says:

Holidaying in Mallorca and the press in Spain believe Rel have Ronaldo in the bag…..Well we should now start looking for replacements..Lemme put forth a suggestion…Anyone seen enough of Pato?Absolute bloody genius..massive reason why Milan let Kaka go….This guy is going to be bigger than Ronaldo(past and present)….Fergie! Fergie!! sign him up!!!!

  91. King Eric says:

Wazza – Ha no mate I often fall asleep on sofa when wife gone to bed so post when I wake up before I go to bed.

  92. corea says:

I insist there is no need to buy the 3rd fefencive midfielder.
We have Fletch, Hargo, Carrick (we bought him as a DM) and Anderson (pretty much playslike this). Maybe attacking one ?
But if costas wants to play 4-2-1-2 maybe..but would have liked 4-4-2 instead. maybe it doesn’t work in CL (i’m pretty much doubt the absoluteness of the issue) but it could bring us the 06-07 style of football.

  93. corea says:

In that case Rooney-Campbell, Rooney-Wellbeck, Rooney-Macheda and even Rooney-Berba would have worked.
Maye i am too possitive about the possibilities but it will much depend on Tevez, Ronaldo situation.

  94. corea says:

“I want people to remember me as a very good and skilful player. I don’t want to be remembered as a top scorer,” Berbatov told Bulgarian Diema TV.

The Bulgaria striker has defended his 14 goal record and believes he contributes more to the team than just goals. “I’ve played with strikers with 100 goals, who can’t control the ball,” he said. “It seems like a three-metre pass when they’re trying to control the ball with their feet.”

    :D DDDD

  95. wazza says:

@King Eric : you keep RoM on 24X7 ? nice to hear that mate. don’t think many of us here would get up in the middle of the night to post a comment, lol

  96. Jagsy says:

thought you people might appreciate this video
its one of the best man utd compilations ive ever seen on the net
sorry if its already been posted before… but those who have not seen it , it shows utd`s history from newton heath.. to the busby babes all the way to he current era… very good watch… its 20 mins long

  97. gotta hate tiny tears says:

    MY FAVOURITE CHANT EVER
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8oKBPgDI6ZY
    .
I an irish man love watching englandplaying because i love rooney, out of sheer love for manchester united ill watch england ,maybe , over ireland
    Rooney is the greatest
but for those reasons i cant understand the “you fat bastard” chanting fans that take off there club jersey put on there england shirt and somehow magicly agree with me that he is one of the worlds best.
its like me watching Ireland last saturday , hating Berbatov and licking richard dunnes arse
I watch a lot of football with my 3 year old and i dont want emily to grow up thinking her daddys a hypocrite

  98. haha says:

Official website is saying they accepted an 80 million bud from real for ronnie

  99. Costas says:

    Thanks haha. It’s done then.

“I would not sell them a virus”.

    Sounds really nice doesn’t it?

  100. Costas says:

Oh and did you hear the other one guys? Fergie tried to change Tevez’s mind by a phonecall. And here’s what a representative of Tevez’s said:

“You treat someone badly for a whole year, you don’t make it up with a telephone call, right?” said the mystery man, whose identity we could probably have a reason good guess at.

“It should take two to three weeks for Carlos’s future to be finally decided” continued The Guardian’s Deep Throat (not that one), and when asked about City, he said: “It’s an option. But no one option is more serious than another – City, Chelsea, Liverpool: they’re all options.”

    Fuck off Tevez.

  101. haha says:

Can’t wait to see who we sign to replace him. We can now add 3 or 4 world class players to the squad. He was far to up his own ass all season so fuck him, hope he does a cruciate at his first training session with those sneaky pricks.

  102. Costas says:

    @haha:

No problem with him leaving.Really.But the way the club have handled it, it’s piss poor.Last year,we were all full of noises that we won’t sell Real anyone and here we are making a deal with them.

We have the money to get players but we need 3 of them now:a winger,a striker and a holding midfielder. And by winger i don’t mean Valencia!

  103. Ohhh_Ahhh says:

    GUTTED.

  104. Costas says:

6 years, 292 appearances, 118 goals, 1 pink flower, 1 crashed sports car and 648362 hissy fits.

Ronaldo thanks for the memories. Good luck in your personal life.

  105. Ohhh_Ahhh says:

    Bring Back Beckham!

  106. mancaroon says:

so thats it, we’ve finally accepted a bid for Ronaldo. I’m not bothered whether he stays or goes, the club is bigger than any one player and will carry on (incidently we have a history of kicking on after getting rid of big names- remember what happened when Ince, Sparky and Kanchelskis left). My problem is, ‘I wouldn’t sell that lot a virus’………..what, unless they offer enough money of course!

And on and on and on.

  107. Costas says:

    @mancaroon:

Don’t forget that the tea, blossomed after losing Ruud as well. Now it’s Rooney’s time to become the leader of the team. But you are right. From now on,we will be labeled as hypocrites. And rightfully so i might add. How’s France Sir Alex?

  108. Gudjohnsen says:

Now Robinho says he would like to play for Barcelona. LOL…I guess his fat paycheck is getting boring.

  109. Wakey says:

I don’t personally think we can buy 3 or 4 world class players with that amount. After all the obvious choice of Ribery wont be going anywhere for less than £70mill (And Real will outbid us)

Quite frankly I’m disappointed with United, why would any player join us now when we have just basically admitted we are a lesser club than Real. We aren’t and we should have stood firm until they bid a figure that was in line with the going rate other players.

  110. Ohhh_Ahhh says:

Do you think we have been lied to all season by they club, Fergie and Ronaldo or do you think that the defeat to Barca was the main trigger.

  111. Costas says:

We have been lied to all year.

  112. dre says:

united admitted nothing. 80m is a good deal considering we got him for less than a quarter than price and probably made double that from his shirts and all tat tv money and winning bonuses from our recents successive runs in europe. personally im glad the prick is gone, i’d rather it sooner in fact. now we can concentrate on playing as a TEAM instead of being a bunch of footballers playing to one man’s ego.

build the team with leading the line and the march and we’ll have a team we can be proud off again.

  113. dre says:

    with *rooney leading the line…
