second on came with a level head

  2. AlphaRS says:

What a goal. Do it for United now.

  3. gotta hate tiny tears says:

theres your 100million pound player world football
    and he aint going anywhere

  4. What says:

Absolutely brilliant effort, so fab :D
Good work by Johnson to set it up aswell.

  5. xmufcxcr7x says:

thats why he is the best…

he played a great role for them today. just shows how he great he can be in that role behind the front man.

  6. corea says:

still 1 month and 11 days without live football :(
    even frendlies are welcomed.

    Great goal fro Wazza anyway!

  7. Marq says:

The commentator didn’t sound as excited as you usually do after such a great goal huh? Making it sound like a “normal” effort.
Hell, it was a stunning goal!
I’ve said it before, and I say it again. We don’t need the Benzemas & Riberys, all we need is Rooney to play upfront and click with Berbatov!

  8. Anon says:

i don’t believe this! i scored a goal with Roon earlier today on my 08, he did the exact same thing! I knew i had superpowers! :D

  9. Allan says:

    Wazza u are the man.

  10. Sam Froze says:

    Nice goal man…..

  11. Isaidso says:

APART from that spectacular goal, Rooney was poor for England, and I mean poor. He complained recently about SAF sticking him on the left, and how Capello knew better! Well the whole 1st half practically Rooney kept finding himself on the left. Rooney has a very poor 1st touch, and he kept losing the ball, because he always lets it run away from him. Like I said, great goal, but in my honest opinion, that was Rooney’s ONLY contribution of worth to this game. Gerrard was just as bad too, but he was played out of position. I am a Rooney fan, but not a fan of the non entity he was in CL final for us, and for England today!

  12. corea says:

    @ Isaidso

    it doesn’t matter. it’s 4-0, 66 games etc. I don’t care.
In Rome the whole team didn’t show up.

  13. Red-Manc says:

Hilarious to hear the ingurland fans chanting “ROONEY ROONEY ROONEY” they will be the same ones that claim he’s a fat bastard and is rubbish just because he’s a United player.

    ABU nation. United >england

  14. TonyBee says:

Spot on Red-Manc…… Rooney only gets the cheers when he scores or England….. all the ABU’s can go fuck themselves

  15. corea says:

Can you just imagine that the fans that chant for Roon during the England games are not exactly the same fans that boo him during the club football games ?

  16. Chain says:

All u haters should go to hell cos non of u could do wat wazza has done great today my boy

  17. corea says:

Vida is on the verge of leaving the field with injury while playing for Serbia vs. Austria.

  18. gotta hate tiny tears says:

berbatov is doing everything but score against ireland
    he is having a stormer
    but oshea is down awhile

  19. gotta hate tiny tears says:

    and oshea is off

  20. King Eric says:

May force myself to watch the highlights. I know United fans get slaughtered for our anti – Ingurlund stance but I really cannot get enthusiastic or excited by them. No interest at all. I even hate it when I see Rooney celebrating with the likes of cunts like Saint Stevie and Tiny tears etc.

May be during the world cup I will be up for it, but I seriously doubt it.

    Good goal though Wayne lad.

  21. Xyth says:

If only he had scored like this in Rome.

  22. gotta hate tiny tears says:

    i,as an irish man
watch and get behind england when they play these matchs
    becuase of rooney
and as i say,as an irish man
i want england to win the world cup
because i want rooney to lift it
i think the guy is world class and should be on the top of the world stage in football at all levels
    and i dont hide it

  23. sean_m11 says:

If we are looking for a centre forward, get Rossi back, im watching Italy on bbc3 now and hes scored a screamer and provided a great assist.
Is it true that we have a buy back option from Vilarreal?

  24. gotta hate tiny tears says:

    sean_m11 united did
but it was only for 2 years i think
    maybe 3
    but i think its up

  25. spriter says:

Tell me how berba contributed gotta hate tiny tears.. i couldnt see the game

  26. Costas says:

Simple mathematics in the past year:Wayne plays in attack,he scores goals.

  27. gotta hate tiny tears says:

    @spriter
and anyone else who wants to read :) :)
he created so much in a deeper position for bulgaria althou irelands back 4 or really dunne and oshea didnt allow them into the box he was in a very scholes position in the first half and in the second half a position that everyone wants rooney to play in just behind the stricker that came on dimatov (spelling?)
and as i say irelands defence did there job
but the only real chance in the second half they got is when berbatov himself weived his way true with fantastic footwork shot given saved
i really think its the best ive seen him play since hull at home and i really like berbatov(>tevez)
he was the strong heart of a team that battered everything irish in the second half apart from the net

  28. Kings says:

sean_m11 – saw that goal too mate – great strike. Shame we let him go in my opinion.

  29. Costas says:

I just saw in Fifa’s website that Nemanja was taken off at half time in Serbia’s game.Does anyone know have any details?

  30. arsene wenger says:

tiny tears, costas, hows it going?, it was a good finish by the roon, the only problem i have with england liftin the world cup is my hate for that bin dipper gerrard ,and captain jt,i dont really mind most of the england players but they will never win a thing together anyway

  31. Costas says:

Fine Arsene Wenger. I think that Capello could be the guy who will keep these massive egos in check.I think that England and Spain are the two favorites for the World Cup.Carlos Quieroz won tonight with a goal in the 93rd minute but he still has a lot of work to do.

  32. arsene wenger says:

yeah that spain team, they play like a club team, englands players move like strangers, i think that capello is definantly the man for the job though costas

  33. gotta hate tiny tears says:

arsene wenger my mind set around that is i want rooney /wes/ rio /carrick/ hargreeves/foster etc to do well alot more than i want tiny tears stevie me and lumps cashley etc to fail. and i love seeing them fail

  34. arsene wenger says:

i think it would be good for the country if england won the world cup, no doubt about it, to be honest id even like to see becks at the world cup gettin a medal,iv never thought he was an outstandin footballer but he always has a good attitude and he dont really come across as charlie big bollocks like lampard an gerrard

  35. arsene wenger says:

although he did kick dave seaman in his head on purpose once

  36. Isaidso says:

Costas, who scored the 93rd minute Portugal goal mate???

  37. gotta hate tiny tears says:

when did he kick him in the head

  38. Costas says:

When did Beckham do that arsene? I don’t remember the game. Stevie Me has also kicked Rivaldo in the head, but he is the media darling so no one said anything about it. The trouble with World Cups outside Europe, is that European teams never win them.

  39. Costas says:

@Isaidso: Bruno Alves mate. The defender who gifted Rooney the ball if you recall.Ronaldo played the 90 and Nani came on in the 76th minute.

  40. arsene wenger says:

it was in the 90′s,infront of the northbank,i think we beat you 1-0 ,dennis bergkamp scored the winner, megged schmeichal@tiny tears, it was a loose ball in the 6 yard box,he kicked his head like a free kick lol the full bend it like beckham style

  41. arsene wenger says:

nah i dont reckon beckham meant it,and seaman never made nothing of it, but it was one of them you could do on purpose an get away with

  42. Costas says:

That was the 95-96 season arsene. I didn’t watch the game but i remember we lost it.

  43. gotta hate tiny tears says:

arsene wenger i dont remember that at all
but thats what youtube is there for
    costas hello mate
    how’d nani do

  44. What says:

My god, how dreadful are Portugal? As much as I don’t like saying this but Queiroz truly is shit at being a full-time manager… get yer arse back here

  45. arsene wenger says:

so whats the close season hold for you guys?? potential signings, ins an outs, any sure things?

  46. Isaidso says:

Costas, what was Ronnie’s performance and Nani’s cameo role like for the Portugeezers then mate? I tried to watch the game online, but couldn’t get a decent link!

  47. Costas says:

Hello GHTT.I didn’t watch the game.I just saw the stats.Seems to me that CQ got prette desperate to find a winner. He brought Nani on for Carvalho.GHTT ,out of curiosity, where you rooting for Berba at all today?I remember celebrating when Ronaldo pulled one back against Greece in Euro 04 and everyone in the room tried to lynch me!

  48. Costas says:

Isaidso, i didn’t watch it either unfortunately. But from what i see,it went as expected.Albania are a tough nut at home.As i said above i am interested to see what’s up with Vida because i read that he was substituted at half time.

  49. What says:

What’s the difference, no games coming up anyhoo…

  50. gotta hate tiny tears says:

    Costas
i got up during the first half and went to the kitchen and said to my misses this is so hard because berbatov was doing so well but i didnt want him to beat ireland because 1 or even 3 points ment alot
but i cant honestly hand on my heart i really wanted berbatov to shine, which he did, i want people to shut up and watch berbatov to see how class the guy is instead of watching him to see him not running as much as park and calling him a lazy fecker
    i wanted him to shine
    and shine he did
and im so happy with that
Berbatov is class and there is only a few players i have ever called class

  51. Costas says:

@GHTT: He is class. It concerns me a bit that he plays away from the penalty box more and more.I would like to see him more around it.

@What: Yep no games coming up but we don’t want it to be anything serious.Apparently he was injured.Lets hope it’s something minor.

  52. KJ says:

    22 goals and counting

  53. gotta hate tiny tears says:

but costas he is really so good there
say if united got Klaas-Jan Huntelaar or a Klaas-Jan Huntelaar type player
or if manucho kiko simpson turn into thet type of player
that barca triangle type of play with berbatov rooney behind a striker up front or even ron up there

  54. Costas says:

@GHTT: Yes i can see him like that. I was referring to the Scholes position you talked about above. He has gone in that position for United as well sometimes. This season his most magical moments were around the box(His assist to Ronaldo against West Ham and his control and pass to Tevez against City).Oh,and he should shoot more.I haven’t seen too many shots of his go wide.

  55. gotta hate tiny tears says:

when i watch rooney play and berbatov play i dont understand this cry of 35 million is needed for tevez
he played like scholes first half
but switched to a rooney second
with glimpses of attack like the way eric or henry used to jsut burst into the box
    he is unreal
    and still rooney is better
its just so good for united
    he should shoot more
but he is so good when i t comes to assists and he knows it

  56. Costas says:

His touch is still the best i have seen in years. The ball is magnetised at his feet.People say that Tevez would have given the Barca defence a hard time. That might be true. But if Berba had started the final instead of Giggs and played behind Ronaldo, who from that Barca midfield was going to get the ball from him?A lot of “what ifs” after that final.

Vidic had a leg injury says Skysports.

  57. gotta hate tiny tears says:

i havent got into a what if about rome
    and i never will
    best team won
and united were set up to win not chase
so rome was sad but its football
oshea took a bad fall but seems to be cool
    hope vidic is alright
and ill say it about berbatov
    what should not be said
he is the closest ive seen to a player like cantona
dont get me wrong he aint no eric
because there will never be another eric
but his style and class scores creates awarness sharpness first touch
team player even to a fault just reminds me of eric
even when he was at spurs i used to say it and the fact that united have that type of player teamed up with what ever type of player rooney is(he’s like whiteside law buchan robson best bruce cantona charlton keane foulkes and hughes had an orgy and 9 months later rooney was born)

  58. Costas says:

Yeah Rooney is like Schwarzenegger in Twins. He needed 9 fathers to turn out like that!I hope in Rome was the last we saw him on the wing.

  59. gotta hate tiny tears says:

if sir alex thinks he should play against some teams on the wings im gonna just go with him because who am i to tell sir alex what he’s doing is wrong, im no tevez. and the reason being he’s always right
    in the big picture
he plays kids against a team that are mid table and united lose
they’ll end up winning the league because the first team got a rest
    in sir alex i trust
and costas i trust you do to
what time is it your end

  60. King Eric says:

gotta hate tiny tears – Further to my earlier post and your reply. I know what you are saying mate I would love to see Rooney lift the World Cup but

    a) It would be the cunt that is Tiny Tears lifting the thing

    and

    b) It will never happen, not in my lifetime!

  61. Ohhh_Ahhh says:

Sure it would be great for Rooney and Rio to win things with England but to be honest im not too fussed about it. Can you imagine the hysteria surrounding fucking John Terry, we’d never hear the end of it. For Beckham i really hope Englan do well in SA, but for our lads….they really dont need England. Here’s hoping that Rio also retires from international football after the world cup.

  62. willo says:

To be honest why didn’t Rooney score with the first shot?
I think the lad had a poor game.

  63. Marq says:

The ball came at such a awkward height and high speed that Rooney did well just to direct it goalwards, not to mention the goalkeeper did really well to claw it out. In all, the whole team played badly. In particular, Glen Johnsen had a shocker. Although he did well for the Rooney assist, he gifted many chances for the opposition to attack. Chelsea would do well to get him, haha

  64. kev says:

@ ghtt berba didnt do anything during the game that stood out at all mate, a few deft touches and stuff but look who he was up against, he missed an absolute sitter 1 on 1 with given when he should have smashed it he tried to control it and pass it in, i wasnt impressed anyway, had he 1 shot on target?

  65. Costas says:

@GHTT: Of course mate.Always believe in SAF. As far as time is concerned. I am 2 hours in front of you.

  66. wazza says:

    super finish by Rooney

  67. wazza says:

hey Costas your up so early dude. what’s the time over there now ?

  68. corea says:

Vida made a tackle and then played till the end of the half injuried..

  69. ridwan says:

    Morning guyz
iv been looking around and i found this player… looks class and could well be the perfect signing… forget benzema and everyone else this guy looks good…

    http://www.imscouting.com/player_to_watch.aspx?id=LoNGBDW6s/zzEKH472MxsA||&name=Taison

    and another thing
some of u are arguing for no striker cauz of welbeck and macheda..
i was thinking how about an OLD striker and well we could sign van nistelrooy. i know its not the ideal signing but in 2 seasons he could well score about 15 goals.. and a punt worth taking if united can sign kevin davies.. again NOT the ideal signing but strong player who can hold up the balll… is old and well can leave bringing in the way for macheda and welbeck to shine…
    yes or no?

  70. ridwan says:

    above comment
the link doesnt work just search “TAISON”

  71. gotta hate tiny tears says:

    @ ridwan
this is he i take it
    great player
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7_eaFIwG7qs
    van nistelrooy-no
why sign someone we had and havent needed in the 3 years hes been gone
and if you do like that type of player then Klaas-Jan Huntelaar is the man for you
everything ruud has 5 years ago except he’s faster

  72. Costas says:

@Wazza: The time here is 2 hours ahead of the British time. So when i wrote that message it was 8:32 am.

  73. ridwan says:

    @GHTT
the reason im sayin van nistelrooy and not klaas is cauz we need a player who plays for us for 2seasons and then retires so that the door is left open for macheda and welbeck?
    who though?
    any volunteers

  74. Ohhh_Ahhh says:

Not a bad idea at all, how old is he now? would he really settle for being on the bench? would Fergie ever welcome him back ?

  75. wazza says:

Costas : that means India is only 2 hrs ahead of Greece. so does your time go back 1 hour during the winter like in UK ?

  76. Hellboy says:

    that is wayne rooney!!!!!!!!!!!

  77. Costas says:

@Wazza: Exactly. It goes back one hour at the last Sunday of October and it goes one hour forward again at the last Sunday of March. So yeah we are pretty close,India and Greece. Have you seen that idiot Pareira’s comments about teams like United raping Brazilian football? And coaches like him rape his profession!

  78. gotta hate tiny tears says:

i seen it costas i far as i know united have only ever had 4 brazilian players and 3 of them play now and united got 2 of themas a package deal

  79. gotta hate tiny tears says:

my numbers are wrong there sorry
    ill go again

as far as i know united have only ever had 5 brazilian players and 4 of them play now and united got 2 of them as a package deal

  80. Kings says:

    Sky Sports Breaking news………

Wigan recieve two bids in the excess of 16 million from Manchester United and Real Madrid for Antonio Valencia.

  81. gotta hate tiny tears says:

sky sports are saying united and real offered over 16 million for Valencia

  82. gotta hate tiny tears says:

kings just seein you wrote that

  83. Costas says:

Thanks Kings and GHTT.It will be interesting to see which offer Wigan prefer. This must not be good news for Nani.

@GHTT: As far as i am concerned, these players have parents right?Who appointed Parreira as their spokesperson? Messi was at Barca at a very young age.I didn’t see this damage his career or Argentinian football. The same goes for Ronaldo(the Brazilian) who was at Eindhoven when he was 17.But it’s easier to blame United than your own country’s shortcomings isn’t it.

  84. Kings says:

GHTT – Funny how any mention of United gets us glued to the set straight away and keeps us interested, that’s how much we love the club!

Costas – Pleasure mate. I remember a quote from Valencia saying that he would prefer to join United as he wants to stay in the Premiership. We’ll see though. Apparantly he has gone away to think about. Watch this space as they say.

  85. the Count says:

Get in wazza brilliant strikers goal. btw Berbatov looked good last night – thats the position I´d like to see him playing for united…

Rooney in the Hole, Berbatov delivering the chances, Ronaldo running riot on the wings. That would make us unbeatable…

  86. Costas says:

I stand corrected.I wasn’t Carlos Alberto Parreira who critisized United. It was Carlos Alberto former Brazilian footballer.
