  1. cubs says:

I like Wayne, he is a good player.

  2. Gopher Brown says:

They’re hyping him up incredibly. I predict he will have a very average game tomorrow but England will win 1-0.

  3. Vidic says:

    He has a new website.

  4. CedarsDevil says:

I honestly hope that Rooney does not become England’s scapegoat tomorrow……….I bet the media are just waiting to pounce.

  5. ididnotzeeit says:

Be interesting to see what Ol’ Roy gets up to tomorrow with the line up. Carroll’s goal and play versus Sweden all but wrap his selection up. Welbeck’s goal and contribution would certainly warrant him a spot. My guess is Young will slot in out wide left, Danny boy wide right, Rooney in the hole off of Carroll and the same “world-beating” midfield…leaving Milner (where he belongs) warming pine.

  6. CedarsDevil says:

    Zibbie

That is surprising news mate!! I think James also likes him!! ha ha ha

  7. CedarsDevil says:

    ididnotzeeit

Milner has been a revelation mate, its like watching a combo of Messi and Ronaldo rolled into one….The lad is so good he belongs on a different planet, literally

  8. ididnotzeeit says:

Oh and how fucking ironic is it that the Italians are worried “the fix” may be in? Yeah, cause everyone would weep should you cheating cunts get worked over. Get bent. I hope the Spanish and Croats play to 2-2 then walk off the pitch, would love nothing more than watching the almighty Italy grabbing their ankles and crying foul play.

For anyone feeling sorry for them, I’d offer a brillaint montage of cheating Italians, however, I can not access youtube at this time. I will NEVER forget that dodgy cunt Grosso though…..

  9. ididnotzeeit says:

Hahaha Cedars not hard to keep your place in the team when your “competition” to date has been the one-pegged, 2 geared (park and neutral) Stuart Downing.

  10. CedarsDevil says:

Gotta love the Irish fans, by far the best in this tournament

  11. CedarsDevil says:

one-pegged, 2 geared (park and neutral) Stuart Downing.???

    Ha ha ha superb

  12. ididnotzeeit says:

I swear Stuart Downing’s inclusion has simply been down to providing a confidence boost to full backs in training. With the likes of Johnson and Kelly in the fold they needn’t be completely out of their comfort zone. Well played Roy, well played indeed.

  13. CedarsDevil says:

De Rossi back in midfield for Italy, King Eric must be licking his lips!! ha ha

  14. CedarsDevil says:

Cannot decide which of these two games to watch, both seem boring……Will stick with Ireland v Italy, nice to see O’Shea play

  15. ididnotzeeit says:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fr2oTmQ0GwM

Stay on your feet you twat

  16. ididnotzeeit says:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=meWyEBCo6oo

You mean THIS Danielle De Rossi Cedars?

  17. CedarsDevil says:

    ididnotzeeit

Ha ha, that dive by De Rossi was hilarious……

  18. ididnotzeeit says:

Where’s the “where to put your money” thread on the over/under # of imaginary cards waved today???

  19. CedarsDevil says:

Spain and Croatia obviously playing out a draw

  20. JC says:

What, a conspiracy for a draw, UNPOSSIBLE!… lol.

  21. dannysoya LOVES SIAN MASSEY says:

This hype is TOO MUCH. If Rooney does not score tomorrow, NO MATTER HOW WELL HE PLAYS he is gonna get slaughtered. Typical British media. Hopefully he plays absolutely brilliant tomorrow.

  22. CedarsDevil says:

So as it stands Italy are out unless they score another goal

  23. CedarsDevil says:

    JC

Brings memories of Germany v Austria in 82

  24. CJ7 says:

As it stands Italy win the group…i think and Spain second

  25. Fred says:

With England there’s always the chance of embarrassing capitulation, but with the dream ticket of Rooney and Welbeck up front I think Ukraine will be despatched with ease.

  26. CedarsDevil says:

    CJ7

As it stands Italy are third in the group, they need another goal to pip Croatia for second spot

  27. dannysoya LOVES SIAN MASSEY says:

Is anyone watching croatia and Modric now? You see why Fergie is trying to get him? He is a brilliant player.

  28. Fred says:

Cedars – that’s wrong pal. Italy, Spain and Croatia are level on 5 points as it stands.
UEFA separates them by their head to head results, which are:

    Italy 1-1 Spain
    Italy 1-1 Croatia
    Spain 0-0 Croatia

Italy are ahead by virtue of 2 goals scored in this head-to-head system, compared to 1 goal scored by Croatia and Spain.

As Croatia and Spain can’t be separated by head-to-head, the deciding factor is overall goal difference, which puts Spain ahead of Croatia, thanks to their 4 goal win over Ireland (Croatia only beat Ireland by 2 goals.)

  29. CJ7 says:

    CedarsDevil
Sorry mate…my mistake for some reason i thought seeing that Ireland is out of contention goals scored against them doesnt come into contention for goal difference equation.

  30. CedarsDevil says:

    Fred

I am never wrong mate, arrogant as fuck I am!! ha ha ha If the results end as they are Italy are out

  31. Utd4life says:

Fred. Thanks for the confirmation mate. I was confused as to which teams would progress should the results stand as they are right now.

  32. CJ7 says:

Thank u Fred…that make more sense than the drivel im posting.

  33. FletchTHEMAN says:

They are hyping Rooney because he will be the best scapegoat if England don’t progress.
FA or Hodgson can’t be blamed.

Watching Croatia Spain, Ref is doing his best to make Croats out to be thugs and Spain as priests.
Hardly tell that Modric is on the pitch.

  34. CedarsDevil says:

    Utd4life

My young friend, as it stands Italy are out!! Jeez, am I the only one who sees this?

  35. Utd4life says:

Cedars. Really?? I dunno whom to believe mate. I just want Spain to go out. That’s it.

  36. Fred says:

This new system might be confusing, but at least it stops any funny business going on. If it was decided by goal difference alone, Spain and Croatia could be playing out an pre-agreed draw right now (although they still look like they are tbf!) Whereas now it’s in both teams’ interests to go for a win in this game. However, judging by Spain’s half-hearted performance, I wonder if the teams have misunderstood the rules, and Spain and Croatia do indeed believe they are both through as 1st and 2nd place respectively. :?

  37. Utd4life says:

Cedars. Actually, you are wrong mate. As things stand, Italy and Spain advance with Italy topping the group. Unbelievable.

  38. Fred says:

Cedars – it seems you are indeed the only one who sees it. UEFA, the BBC and everyone else are stating that Italy are 1st and Spain 2nd.

  39. CedarsDevil says:

    Utd4life

Believe me mate, I am never wrong!! ha ha……..For Spain to go out they need to lose tonight while Italy win

  40. CJ7 says:

Utd4life me too…i hate those fuckers(because of Barca).Cedars im not big on stats on Espn Soccernet it says as it stands Croatia are going home

  41. CedarsDevil says:

I will wait for official apologies for being correct if results end as they stand and Italy go out……

  42. Utd4life says:

Cedars. No mate. The confirmation just popped up on the screen. Italy and Spain are through. This is because of the head to head system which makes things a bit more complicated.

  43. Fred says:

If it stays as it is, we could have the bizarre spectacle of France and England doing everything in their power to avoid winning their group tomorrow. :D

By my reckoning, if France throw their game against Sweden they are guaranteed 2nd place and avoid Spain. Hmmm….

  44. Fred says:

I must say, this tournament has been fantastic so far. 8)

  45. CedarsDevil says:

Shit, could I be wrong? I am never wrong!!! ha ha ha

  46. dave says:

read somewhere that fryers has been offered £1500 per week dont blame him for leaving if its true,

  47. CedarsDevil says:

    Fred

Agreed on the tournament mate, I hardly ever watch these spectacles, but this one has been fun

  48. Utd4life says:

I have to applaud the Croats for the way they have gone toe to toe with the passmasters. Come on Croatia!!!

  49. Fred says:

Ha! I knew Spain would score.

  50. CJ7 says:

There we go Spain just solve it for us…Fuckers

  51. CedarsDevil says:

I guess all the maths is out the window now that Spain have scored……..Phew, my reputation is saved!! ha ha ha

  52. Utd4life says:

Damn!!!!! Spain score. Those weasels always find a way through.

  53. CJ7 says:

    Indeed Cedars…indeed*smile*

  54. Fred says:

Dave – ha! Fantastic wage for a 19 year old kid that. Don’t make me laugh.

  55. Fred says:

The big contract will come when Fryers actually achieves something as a footballer – and not a minute before.

  56. The team that wouldn't die says:

    The Lord of Cunts (Spain)
and The King of Cheats (Italy) go through. Nothing new here. Let’s just hope our players stay injury free and that the team that is a monster machine (Germany) make the degos cry in the end.
Expect Ingurland to fuck it up tomorrow and the media to hang Rooney out to dry.

  57. CedarsDevil says:

England better win their group tomorrow……….England v Italy should be juicy

  58. CedarsDevil says:

Quite a good goal by the nut job

  59. CedarsDevil says:

    For me Jimmy James……..

    Come ON England

  60. Fred says:

    Cum on England!

  61. Touché says:

For a team with so much talent Spain is incredibly boring to watch… Not counting the Ireland game (for obvious reasons) how many games is that now in a row that Spain has scored just the single goal in a game in major competitions? must be around half a dozen at least…

  62. Utd4life says:

While I appreciate Spain’s technical skill and quality, they are incredibly boring to watch. I hope someone beats them. I can’t stand the sight of them lifting the trophy again.

  63. CedarsDevil says:

    Fred – Ha ha ha

Spain will not win this, mark my words

  64. Fred says:

Utd4Life – That team is Ingerlund pal. They’ll never get past Big JT and Joleen Lescott.

Touche – you’re not wrong. WC2010: Holland 1-0 (AET), Germany 1-0, Paraguay 1-0, Portugal 1-0. They did manage to put two goals past both Chile and Honduras though. Sexy football indeed. :)

  65. CedarsDevil says:

Thought Holland were an inspiration in this tournament, Nigel De Fuck was class

  66. samuel - united WE stand says:

Rooney’s time? well if he plays anything close to below par against ukraine then he’ll be lambasted. They’re building him up, i just hope he steps up.

Anyway, watching paint dry is more fun than watching spain. They pass ,pass and pass and are the reason why teams play defensive tactics against them so it kills games. I just wish a team could go toe to toe with them but it won’t be happening anytime soon.

  67. MG says:

Wayne Rooneys time is next year for the treble ;)

Eye is still flashing though it’s not so bad at he moment, going to Hospital on Thursday morning to make sure it’s okay – keep MG in your thoughts and know that if you hear a Hulk, it’s me!

Still not using the computer much or tv so goodnight United…

  68. Fred says:

Get well soon Big MG. :)

  69. cubs says:

Be well MG, his Mrs is a Dr.. Double good hands.

  70. cubs says:

Rooney just now hitting his prime as a man and footballer. 186 goal to boot.
Welbeck calls him Yoda, he helps his teammate not considered an advisary for playing a simular position.
Could Pele beat people with a step over? Rooney can’t that’s why so many miss his guinuss beacause he lacks a good hacky sack flas guy. Wow so narrow is the view is the one wating for their turn to talk as tto listen.

  71. FletchTHEMAN says:

For those still thinking conspiracy, there is some talk that the club asked for the away start to give the grounds staff an extra week of work after the Olympics. For those who don’t know OT will host sommat like 10 matches for the Olymplcs over a month. That is like half a season of home fixtures in under 30 days. Wouldn’t surprise me much if the club did ask for an extra week.

Here is a listing of our recent openers:

    2012/2013 Everton (A)

    Previous 10 starts:

Not much in it, even for conspiracy buffs.

  72. Sandeep1878 says:

    Morning reds around the world,

Huntellar..for fuck sake..and dailymail, you cunts, give some resepct when you publish the shit!!

  73. Wakey says:

    @Touche
Personally I have never thought Spain (or Barca for that matter) are that great. Sure they are great at tippy tally triangles but footballs about more than that. As we have seen with Arsenal if teams stopped believing the media hype about how great then football is and how unbeatable these teams are they would quickly be found wanting as all they have is a plan A

  74. Sandeep1878 says:

wasnt that a controversial goal? a hint of off sides and hand ball?

err..For Spain and Barca there isnt any such rule by Uefalona..

  75. Jeet says:

If England go through to the quarters, I’ll support them…just hope the Spanish go out. And some measure of revenge for United, via Rooney, Welbz,Young.

  76. Sandeep1878 says:

    Jeet,

    agreed,

lets hope we have a winner in England :)

    Morning mate, good day..

    ##

Hope Singh doesnt pop up saying we always chat with each other :P ;)

  77. jeet says:

    Morning Sandeep.

Terrible news re: Tom Maynard and Rodney King. RIP

  78. Sandeep1878 says:

    Jeet,

Yeah pal, such young cricketer and to go out this way, terrible..

    RIP Tom

    also RIP King!!

  79. CedarsDevil says:

    Morning dip shits

Looking forward for tonight and watching the United lads in action……..Just hope Welbeck starts ahead of the donkey……

France are all but through, question remains on who will top the group, if both England and France win it will come down to goal difference, oh and if England lose they are out unless France lose by a bigger margin!! This is confusing shit, I just hope England top their group and play Italy in the QF’s

  80. CedarsDevil says:

Just read up on Maynard, terrible way to die…..RIP

  81. CedarsDevil says:

Looks like I am doing a ‘Jeet’ here, i.e. talking to my self!! Such a bliss to work from home, no annoying bitch of a boss over my head, music or TV in the background and I can fucking smoke whenever I like!!

Right, so two more months of this bollocks that is off season before we kick off and reclaim our title….

    UNITED UNITED UNITED

  82. Harish says:

England v Italy will be a good match. Not seen these two play for a long time. I hope balotelli and Hart have a fight and Welbeck or rooney wins it for them.

  83. CedarsDevil says:

I really miss winning the FA Cup…….How long has it been now? 7, 8 years?

When I started following United in the 70′s it was all we could hope for, a good FA Cup run…..

  84. CedarsDevil says:

Well, fuck me sideways and shave my body hair with a rusty knife………Slow morning on RoM

  85. jeet says:

    Fucking Lebanese ventriloquist … :)

  86. CedarsDevil says:

Bloody Indians, taking over the world………..So many of them buggers its unreal!!! ha ha ha

  87. CedarsDevil says:

    Jeet

You funny fucker, cannot focus any more!!!

  88. jeet says:

If we dressed up RvP in lace lingerie and put him in a shop window in Amsterdam, wouldn’t he fit right in?? :)

  89. jeet says:

… He still wouldn’t go for 30 mil pounds though ;)

  90. Bobby Charlton's combover says:

Definitely is time for Rooney to shine but after two mediocre performances against mediocre sides
England have once again managed to get carried away and are already talking of winning the
tournament. As it stands they are not even out of the group stages. It happens tournament after
tournament and only serves to set themselves up for a fall. Hodgson didn’t do Wazza any favours
yesterday by saying he could be like Pele. I thought he had more sense than that but if England
go home tonight or in the quarters silly statements like that will come back to haunt them.

  91. CedarsDevil says:

So RvP is the new joke? Fuckers the lot of you, gorgeous player and I do not mean that sexually like King Eric would………Fuck me, every goal he scored last season would be contender for goal of the season…………..His hat rick at the Bridge, damn that was spiritual

  92. RedHound says:

Rafael Benitez: I’m a big Rooney fan… but I couldn’t say it at Liverpool!

You will understand why I was not able to discuss publicly the technical qualities of Wayne Rooney while I was with Liverpool! But now is the time to examine in detail the aspects of his play which we can look out for and enjoy against Ukraine tonight. They make him an even better player than the one he was a few years ago. England don’t have much time to prepare for the very difficult challenges beyond this group stage and Rooney needs minutes on the field, which is why I think Roy Hodgson’s likely decision to start with him is a good one. There is nothing wrong with………

  93. slayer says:

If Rooney achieve the form which Ronaldo and Messi have, I can see a bright future for England and Man United. But still, the whole team would have to be good in order to achieve good result.

  94. CedarsDevil says:

Ronaldo and Messi??? Apart from the last couple of games both have been shit for their countries

  95. CedarsDevil says:

Me Linda : why are Ireland out

Err they lost all their games!

Linda : You’re such a tease, did they now?

    Fucks sake babe they did!!

Linda : You’re just drunk and making things up

Italy just beat them 2 nil, you’re out

Linda : Fuck off, lets have some shots

  96. ahjs says:

    CedarsDevil says:

“Ronaldo and Messi??? Apart from the last couple of games both have been shit for their countries”

C’mon, just because they didn’t win a tournament on their own doesn’t mean they’ve been shit. Ronaldo has had a few decent tournaments, looking like a threat when he burst on the stage in ’04 and Messi has played a much deeper role, creating good chances for teammates in the last World Cup and Copa America. He was probably their best player in both tourneys.

What is it nowadays? Either you win or you’re shit? No middle ground anymore?

  97. United Till I Die says:

All things considered I admire Rooney as a world class player. When he’s on song he’s unstoppable and one of the best players anywhere, but I do wish this “white Pele” label would be put to bed. When Fergie was asked about it he acknowledged some similarities with the Brazilian but insisted that Rooney was a typical British player with his own world class game, just like Charlton, Best and Gazza.

So obvious similarities aside, it must be said that Wayne Rooney is SO FUCKING FAR from Pele he’d need back to back Euro and World Cup medals to warrant any non-delusional comparison. Tbh he should concentrate on being himself and try to avoid shortening his career with fags and booze. Never mind Pele when Wayne reaches mid thirties he’d do well to be as deadly as a certain proven Ivorian.

I mean seriously, Michael Owen scored 40 goals for England in 10 years while Rooney is currently on 28 goals in 9 years. If Owen had better luck with fitness he’d be even further ahead of Wazza on the international stage and thats the cold truth. Blanco Pele my arse, Wazza is the man in our League but he ain’t even on Owen’s level Internationally, let alone Ronaldo who scored 62 in 12 years for Brazil.

The whole nation needs to wind its neck in – there are innumerable players between Rooney and the greats like Pele – England haven’t even qualified yet ffs! Nevertheless I’ll be watching the match and hoping our lads perform well, but you still gotta laugh at the whole thing!

  98. ahjs says:

It didn’t take long for normal service to resume. The media talking about spanking Ukraine, beating Spain, winning the whole thing. A 3-2 win over Sweden was all it took!

  99. Jay says:

Ronaldo and Messi have not been shit in tournaments, Ronaldo was brilliant in 2004 and 2006, granted 2008 and 2010 were not great but I put that down to Queiroz. It makes me laugh when people say the are crap for their national team Ronaldo reached a semi final and a final with Portugal for fuck sake and he was not a passenger he was very influential in that tournament. Messi played very well when he started his first world cup but Argentina went out before he could really make a statement and then he had the useless manager Maradona. Holland went out a few days ago but I thought Sneijder was excellent, Ibrahimovic was a boss in this tournament. People said Ronaldo been playing crap until he had scored against Holland what utter bullshit he had played well he just hadn’t scored. I’m glad Keane tore Carragher a new one and was able to gloat over Veiria over his comments regarding Ronaldo when Portugal won.
