  14. RedCOPPEL says:

Lucas Moura playing for Brazil against my home country South Africa in Brazil. Can’t see why were in for him in the first place. Anonymous for sixty minutes now.

  15. Mikael says:

    Costas: LOL! ;o)

  16. Urmston red Hamiltino says:

    Quality.
Get him up front with chicarito and watch the goals fly in. We need someone to stretch defences and create space for kagawa and tony v to exploit.

  17. Urmston red Hamiltino says:

    Terry injured tonight.
    Cleverly ran the England game
    Not a bad night

  18. iced earth says:

    very good game for cleverley
Jonny Evans played in Northern Ireland’s 2-0 defeat to Russia.
hope we will not have injured player after int games

  19. jeet says:

Fucking hell, did you see the quality of the run? Fucking classical maestro

  20. Proverb says:

I heard cleverley had a great game???
    Fantastic
But he should put himself in great scoring positions
Nonetheless great to hear he had a great game

  21. iced earth says:

“Tom Cleverley’s a pleasure to play alongside. He’s going to be part of the team for years to come.” Frank Lampard

  22. iced earth says:

    Proverb
he had a very good game he played in an advanced role behind defoe
    he is progressing every match

  23. Saturn says:

Proverb to be fair he had a few good shots 1 of them was going in and hit the arm of the defender that lead to a pen ( dodgy pen to be fair) but still. hope all that makes sence have had a few drinks.

  24. Proverb says:

    Cheers guys
This tom boy is great, I still think he hasn’t reached the form of last season before the injury
But I’m sure he’ll get there
Future looks bright for both clubs and country.

  25. Zibbie says:

RvP is so awesome, for the last 20+ months just Messi and CR total more. His game is not speed, 29. At 34 he will still have game. Barca have 3 of the top 4 players. Imo. Man Utd have 2 of the worlds top 8 strikers. Wow, now that is what it is.

  26. medumtum says:

Happy all of our lads stayed injury free actually. Now if only we could get those training ground injuries sorted…

  27. medumtum says:

Injury free so far that is. Just hope we get through this damned international break with a full squad.

  28. iced earth says:

if the injury is confirmed it will be a huge below for jones
    thank god evans is back

  29. iced earth says:

“Tom Cleverley was terrific through the 90 minutes. You can understand why Sir Alex Ferguson plays him so much.Roy Hodgson

  30. medumtum says:

    Spoke too soon…

  31. medumtum says:

Was looking forward to Jones stepping back in. Really looks like he is the guy to inherit Vidas spot. Also miss his marauding runs forward. It was great to see how he could actually impact the midfield area from center back the few times he played there.

  32. Costas says:

Great. We’ve turned Phil Jones into another “unlucky” injury prone defender.

  33. Zibbie says:

‘Alex was excellent and also for the first 15 minutes of the second half,’ he said. ‘Cleverley was excellent for 90 minutes and when you watch him, you understand why Sir Alex Ferguson is pleased with him.’

I save this and see Jones.

  34. Zibbie says:

I was so nice to see the Rooney threads and how it all progressed. The TV interview was great, got to see and read his face. Wazza, RvP, and the gang. An attacking wonder to unfold this, SAF season before his last?!

  35. Zibbie says:

An off week and only injuries can happen.

  36. Redhot Concepts says:

The number is cursed. Wesley Brown broke his ankle, Hargo and now Jonesy! To the Chinese, the number ’4′ simply means DIE. Pls correct me if I m wrong :(

  37. medumtum says:

Hope the new medical facility can sort this out, cause it really looks like we’re just carrying on from last season.

  38. wayne says:

lol it’s still weird my instinctive reaction to the header was who gives a fuck ,then oh that’s right he’s a Red,to many years of him being the enemy.Still fucked up to me why Arse didn’t pay him the money.5th richest club in the world charge a fucking fortune for tickets but don’t want to compete for top players
As Samuel mentioned on a earlier thread it’s all about money want top players have to pay,the only advantage Utd have got in terms of tradition and history,if Utd offer 250k a week the same as City, players are going to sign for Utd every time
Also if these FFP do work puts Utd in pole position revenue/expenditure .

  39. wayne says:

OK i don’t get some of these ND58 lads i assume their kids, yesterday Pint a Glass of Vodka joined ND58 in the afternoon then after midnight he comes onto ROM asking were Cedars is.
I don’t give a fuck one way or the other but can someone please explain to me the object of that exercise thanks
He joined ND58 on Sept 6th at 3.42 pm
at 2.19am on the 7th he’s looking for Cedars on ROM
    Honestly what the fuck

  40. Zibbie says:

I love Cedars and Willie and many on ND58. I just do not like a forum way to talk. I like blogs. Why do you have to be one or the other.

  41. wayne says:

Cedars did a thread on Utds best 11 the very last post was pint of vodka at 6.46pm on the 6th,sorry the true core of lads are ok but the hangers on are fucking retards

  42. wayne says:

Zibbie my point is why does vodka come on here looking for Cedars when he’s already joined ND58 it’s fucking retarded and what’s the point

  43. Zibbie says:

Wayne many funny or odd things in life. I do not argue your point . I just have not said hey to the boyz in a while. I see why ND58 came into be. As you said I like STR free hand here. I respect a SAF cunt calling free zone as well. I would post there all the time as well if it were a blog forum.

  44. Zibbie says:

Oh I get that Wayne and valid point!

  45. wayne says:

Zibbie mate you’re missing my point i’ll bet any money not one ROM regular has been on ND58 trying to cause shit, yet these fucking retards Robbo, dave{whoever the fuck he is}and now pint of asswipe is coming back to ROM just to stir shit,ROM regulars don’t give a fuck about ND58 so why are these asswipes trying to cause problems

  46. Zibbie says:

Wayne we have been talking this FFP thing, Gill maybe getting a EUFA spot. If there is any teeth at all, Man Utd only team to afford Neymar after the 2014 WC. hehe

  47. Zibbie says:

Point got and taking, some shit stirring for sure.

  48. Zibbie says:

Many will do that. Sara will make it her/his goal to infiltrate ND58 and others stir shit there.

  49. wayne says:

Zibbie sara/911 just a mental case mate not a ROM regular

  50. Zibbie says:

Wayne you saw the young Paul Scholes. I know he started as a forward, then a amf player, I saw him since he turned 30. From a 15 goal scorer, to the envy of all who know. What was his transition like?

  51. Zibbie says:

I know we are missing tonight mate. Just talking.

  52. wayne says:

Zibbie ND58 was sick of the bullshit and idoits on ROM,so true to there word Robbo and Pint of Vodka should be banned, thought the idea was to have a idiot free environment those 2 are just a fucking embarrassment to the purity of what ND58 are supposed to represent

  53. Zibbie says:

Wayne I get your point, I just do not care. Their call. We are all hypocrites mate. Don’t sweet it. RoM worlds best Man Utd Blog. .

  54. Zibbie says:

We all masturbate, we all are hypocrites and we all want to fuck the hot chick we saw today, just saying.

  55. wayne says:

i try and not be a hypocrite but i know that’s your polite way of telling me to fuck off,so no worries

  56. Red Robin says:

    Red Robin in Orange!

  57. Zibbie says:

OH and WE ALL LOVE MAN UTD AND ROM!!!!!!!!!

  58. Zibbie says:

That’s what I love about you Wayne. Just shot of that bud, more like ok enough already  I feel ya mate. Love your passion.

  59. Zibbie says:

Wayne it is your passion and others passion that have forged RoM.

  60. Zibbie says:

By trying so hard is what I so like about you Wayne. I as well try my ass off.

  61. wayne says:

That’s my problem Zibbie don’t have time for shallow, 2 faced phony cunts, not good in modern society or social events because there’s always cunts around.Don’t have many friends bur not looking for many.It seems the successful in this world are liars and bullshit artists.
Look at Romey the most empty, vile, lying, superior piece of shit on this earth, deserves a bullet and could end up president, god forbid, people thought Bush was a cunt, haven’t seen nothing yet,a cunt controlled by richer cunts

  62. mig78 says:

great to hear, cleverly given a full 90minutes. a no.10′ wow!

  63. mig78 says:

wayne, that was deep. hang in there budy.chill. life is too short. b4 u realise it’ll be over. enjoy what’s right there infront of you, while you can.

    i’m a ROMer. :)

  64. wayne says:

mig78 i guess that’s the irony of modern day society, honesty, loyalty, morality are considered deep, whereas someone like Mitt Romey who has made his fortune by ruining other peoples lifes is running for the president of the utd states and his whole campaign is based on lies,go figure

  65. Ash says:

I have to say Nick powell looks like a top class talent. He has an eye for goal and has the ability to pass. Top class signing.

I am disappointed to hear about jones. He needs to sort out his injury problem. We cannot afford to lose such talented player to injury. Same goes for Smalling.

Yeah england won 5-0 over a 141 ranked team and media are going mad. Yeah Roy hodgson is giving chances to young player but They cannot win with the likes of Milner, Defoe,Johnson. And also lamaprd and gerrard starting together has never worked and yet these two are starting. What terry is doing Ferdinand will do much better and that to without hurting or casuing problems in dressing room. I hope smalling or Jones is fit and starts for England. I hate terry.

  66. Ash says:

Hernandez and welbeck should increase their game now. They are very talented but should start scoring more goals. I am sure hernandez will score more goals but danny should also score. I hope welbeck scores 15+ goals this season atleast. That should be his minimum target. But I am happy he is playing for england and also for our club. He needs regular games before he can score goals on a continuous basis.

I want to see Herandez and Van persie starting against wigan. Let hernandez start. Don’t forget there is a midweek european game also so we would need our forwards to be ready.

  67. R-V-P says:

van-per-sie! when the roon says no ! SELECT-HiM

R-V-P .. When the Roon says NO.. SELECT HIM

To the tune of – Re-Rewind (The Crowd Say Bo Selecta)”

  68. Proverb says:

Nightmare for Jones as United defender set for lengthy layoff after ANOTHER injury setback

The 20-year-old hobbled out of United’s Carrington training ground on crutches after injuring his right leg on Thursday and now looks set for another spell on the sideline

    Come back soon Jones

  69. iced earth says:

Evans went the full 90 minutes in Northern Ireland’s 0-2 away defeat by Russia
    (evans rio vidic) assuring
hope we wil not have more injury after the int matches

  70. iDon says:

Fire all the medical staff, bring new one

  71. Ash says:

    http://www.sport360.com/article/henriquez-has-made-mistake-joining-man-utd-says-chile-coach

Nice read. Chile coach has a point. I feel Henriquez should play regularly if he has to become a star player. Boy is special and we have to take care of him . I would have preferred if he was sent back on loan to his previous club. But with sir alex in charge I am confident henriquez will get his chances.

  72. parryheid says:

Another injury? He hasn’t even got over the one he was out with, thank goodness it wasn’t one of our valuable players ie a first teamer.

  73. King Eric says:

Ash – Hello mate. You well? Gotta say I am excited about Henriques. His pace, movement and finishing look insane. As does his strength. He looks about 25. He looks in the face like a fusion between Ruud and Van Basten!

  74. DreadedRed says:

wayne – your expose is quite revealing. If I understand you correctly, Pint Glass commented on an article written by Cedars, and then came here asking for Cedars whereabouts?

  75. Costas says:

And to add to the “when it rains it pours” category, this is from the Independent:

“Northern Ireland had further cause for concern on the stroke of half-time when Jonny Evans appeared to tweak a hamstring volleying a dead ball into the stands.

Evans emerged after half-time, ruling out any serious injury concern, but did not appear to moving with complete comfort.”

Lovely. Funny how our most unreliable defender on the pitch is the most reliable when it comes to staying fit. Talking about Evra there..

    @Parry

Not one of the first XI at the moment, but an adequate back up is something were to happen top Rafa. As things stand, Valencia is once again the alternate for that position. Which is something I hate with a passion.

  76. utd_fc says:

it’s official. Giggsy has entered the guiness book of world records 4 different times. Wonder if that’s a record in itself? ;)

    http://www.guinnessworldrecords.com/news/2012/9/ryan-giggs-his-five-most-memorable-goals-44680/

This man is seriously a beast/machine. There is no way us mere mortals can compete with him

  77. King Eric says:

Costas – Hello mate. Yeah I wanna see Jones at right back some games. Infact I just wanna see some fucking fit defenders! For all the shit Evra gets like you say at least he is bloody fit. Anyway Rio and Vida will build up a partnership again hopefully although not holding my breath. Was chuffed Jonny back. Lets hope it isn’t a hamstring.

  78. parryheid says:

Wales were a real disappointment last night, hoped they would win and keep the group tight.Purely self interest as I am a Scotland man,I trust we can get our full points today at Hampden Park, get in to them Scotland.

  79. AlphaRS says:

    @Ash
Nice article about Henriquez there. I think the Chile coach may have a point there too.
If players like this stay at United rather than go out on loan the opportunities they get are limited to The Capital One Cup or The Premier League only if United have alot of injuries. The few chances they get they have to take. SAF tries to bring players through and still remain competitive at the top level.
Probably why he prefers to send players out on loan to get Premier League experience.
I do wonder what this signing means for Maceda though and less so Diouf.

  80. King Eric says:

parry – Are you a Rangers or Celtic man? or neither? I was in Gallashiels two weeks ago and went to celtic supporters club. Great place. A good crack. Proper friendly . Despite being from Leeds my old dear was born in Scotland so I am sort of half Scottish.

  81. King Eric says:

AlphaRs – Alright pal. Diouf has gone. Hannover. Kiko will be gone on loan too imo. This Henriques along with Powell and Buttner are due for starts against Newcastle in League Cup. Henriques looks mustard from limited bits I ahve seen.

  82. utd_fc says:

i don’t want jones at rb anymore. he’s best played at cb and needs to be developed and nurtured in that position. rotating him round fullback positions and midfield positions is just going to stall his progress. and i’m not buying into anything the daily fail says either. Either United officially confirms his injury or its a load of bollox

  83. King Eric says:

utd fc – Yeah I am not convinced this story is true either,

  84. parryheid says:

    Costas.

Your remark regarding Valencia has me hoping Jones returns now even though I don’t really think too much of him as a player. But thankfully Rafael is as healthy as fuck.

  85. parryheid says:

    King Eric.

The tic.Did you get taken on a Haggis hunt when you were in the borders by any chance? Great sport.

  86. AlphaRS says:

    @King Eric
Hello Mate. Didn’t realise Diouf had gone…! Lolz.
With only 2 starting positions just makes me wonder where everyone will fit in :D
It’ll be great to see some of the new lads against The Barcodes. I’ve seen that clip about Henriquez on Ashs link and he looks strong and quick. Hopefully he bangs in a few past The Geordies to put them in their place…! :D

  87. TonyBee says:

Wayne…hi mate ..roared at your USA political debate…. just about right too…

all politicians are cunts …simply in it for themselves

  88. TonyBee says:

Dreaded ,..it appears that Cedars & Scot the Red had a falling out and a major bust up over Cedar’s ‘advertising’ …. and got banned permanently.. cant speak for any of the others though
I have been to see what the other site is like and i still prefer it on ROM….

Costas said earlier Scot’s way of running a blog that you can tell each other to fuck off one minute and agree to disagree on others is better than a forum and i agree with Costas on that…i know that ROM has a forum but i have only been to look there once or twice and cant get used to it….

I do miss the craic from the ‘defectors’ as i have grown old(er) with them on ROM and feel dismayed when some just out & out attack them for trying something different

  89. Costas says:

    @King Eric

Hi mate. It’s not an ideal situation. My pick as Rafa’s backup would be Jones (and in some case he could be first choice from a physical standpoint), but he’s not a right back. I may be in the minority, but I don’t believe the Rio/Vidic partnership is the way to go anymore. I’ve been saying for 2 years that we should start building a new one. Unfortunately, there hasn’t been an opportunity for that to happen. Smalling has been injured more often than not in the last 18 months, Evans has had his problems and Jones (when he’s fit) is used at right back. I’d like to believe that when those 3 are fit we will start moving towards a new partnership, but can anyone say for sure that they won’t get injured again? I can’t.

    @Parry

Definitely. And for the first time since he’s been here, I am really hopefull that Rafa will nail down that right back berth. But if he’s forced to miss the odd game, I wonder if Sir Alex will give Buttner a go. There has to be a better solution out there than using Valencia at right back.

  90. TonyBee says:

Costas….is Buttner able to play both sides them,,

  91. utd_fc says:

Jus gonna take a minute out and say it’s a pleasure to have tonybee KE costas n jeet back n posting. Balaji n Cedars are still missing and if Cedars has been banned that’s a shame as i always enjoyed his input on the blog. Dunno which new blog you guys have apparently defected to :P but keep postin here from time to time. Cus there’s more than a few assholes here who spout so much shit in these comments it honestly becomes a bother to read.

Just being a little selfish, i enjoy going thru all of your posts, so stick around why dontcha!

  92. parryheid says:

    Costas.

The Buttner scenario may well turn out to be an good alternative as it appears he is an multi positional player.Oh that one of the positions is a right side def mid. and he turns out to be more than handy at it.

  93. utd_fc says:

    Tonybee

Well mate when he was signed his bio on the official site said he was able to operate on both flanks, with the left side being his preferred one ofcourse. Similar to Fabio I’d say who also doesn’t mind being on the right side

  94. Costas says:

    @TonyBee

Hey pal. I don’t know to be honest. Buttner i’s left footed by nature but in cases like this, I’d prefer someone with the insticts of a natural defender over a right footed winger. I think I remember Evra playing at right back in a Fa Cup semi against Watford.

  95. fergie is the boss says:

the latest injury is proof we need a new defender

  96. TonyBee says:

utd fc …i aint never been anywhere else…just too busy working ….and getting sexually abused by Sara/911

  97. jeet says:

Utd_fc: cheers, pal…I’m going to be on RoM too…can’t two time the missus, but blogs are fair game :)

  98. Costas says:

    @utd_fc

Don’t worry mate. This Greek never left and never will. 8) I am just expanding my wings.

  99. King Eric says:

utd fc – Cheers mate. I am a stubborn cunt and don’t like change so I won’t be joining any forum. Had a butchers at it and it seems good but feel late to the party now so will still post on here from time to time.

  100. King Eric says:

How come my post hasnt come up about what went on on here etc and the defecting?

  101. TonyBee says:

i has a problem with posting on here yesterday as well KE… Scott said that it was down to an anti spam thing …just email at admin and he will sort it…

  102. TonyBee says:

    KE …how’s the bairn…?

  103. Costas says:

    From Steve Bartram on twitter:

Confirmed: Phil Jones has had surgery on a knee meniscus tear sustained in training that will require 6-8 weeks of rehabilitation.

  104. Busby babes says:

    Costas

Bit of a worry now m8 is’nt just seems relentluss with all these injuries occuring.

  105. utd_fc says:

Cheers to all of you guys. I haven’t been posting here for all that long I know, might have been a year or two at max, but what got me hooked to this blog obviously was Scott’s top notch service with regards to news and other updates (kudos btw!) but that was just me reading. What got me to really start posting here kinda regularly was all of your differing yet equally valid and interesting takes on games, current affairs and all things United.

And someone get Cedars to sort his stuff out with Scott! Come on people we’re all reds here! And both of them are the truest of true reds anyways so it’s a damn shame! Altho i also understand the need to make a smaller entity on the side, since ROM has really taken off there’s been more than the occasional cunt who come here with their FIRST posts and their fuck fergie fuck this fuck that posts. It really can put you off, and I’ve noticed that a lot of the sensible posters with educated comments have also been put off and started postin less fequently.

Tonybee that 911/sara/fuckkinnnbollox is one of them assholes i was goin on about :P . Esp when we have people here going on about how ‘we didn’t buy Martinez, we didn’t sign Hazard, Carrick is shit, Rooney is shit, De Gea is shit, Lindy is shit, Nani is shit, Young is shit’. I mean FUCK ME, to keep lads here happy looks like we’re gonna need to sign a whole new starting 11 every season just to keep these fuckers happy! As soon as a player loses ‘the brand new signing’ feel he becomes shit to all these nutters. Pisses me right off.

  106. utd_fc says:

    Jeet

ahha AMEN to that mate :P

  107. utd_fc says:

Also anyone notice our god damn fixture list after next weeks game agains Wigan?

    Liverpool (A)
    Tottenham (H)
    Newcastle (A)
    Stoke (H)
    Chelsea (A)
    Arsenal (H)

So we’re pretty much gonna be knackered till November ehh? if we can pull through this with more than 15 points out of a possible 18 it’ll be a huge step towards the title this year. This is more than half of the top 10 here.

  108. Zibbie says:

Tony Bee I have more to read but had to say thanks man.

    TonyBee says:
Dreaded ,..it appears that Cedars & Scot the Red had a falling out and a major bust up over Cedar’s ‘advertising’ …. and got banned permanently.. cant speak for any of the others though

I love this Blog and my man Cedars. as you I have said the same. But now knowing this I will check in every few days to say I love you Tree!

  109. Zibbie says:

Good to read King Eric. Baby and mamma fine?
What little I saw of Angelo I saw the same type of player, strong, smart, mature for his age. And a gut feeling he can handle the press.

Powell is a stud. Wow the best English young talent this year.
Cleves turning into a man in front of our eyes.
Rafa similar. Looks a hungry Tiger.
Tony he and Rafa on the rt, he should feed the HUNGRY RvP!!!

    HEY KEBAB!!!

  110. Zibbie says:

KE your thoughts on Rooney in any CMF position and how he could be used as he ages? I see him a more offensive Swienstieger type?! I see Wazza able to play the more attacking of the 2 in the 4-2-3-1, to the 10 and every where in between with a left side cover as well.

  111. Zibbie says:

Wayne I like your politics, feel much the same. as you said here on RoM It’s a Free For All

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-c2OM7HEfrs

  112. wayne says:

Just came from newsnow Utd are fucking cursed with injuries,Utd medical staff don’t cause the injuries, just a crazy run of bad luck
Tony Bee thanks mate i’m a US political junkie, never seen anyone as bad as Romney running for president,if he does get elected will be a dark day for most people living down there.
DreadedRed yes mate that’s what i meant

  113. Zibbie says:

Wayne he looks as he should have been Peter Jennings replacement, of a News 6 Weather man. Scary!!!
You can see how a country can be lost.

  114. Zibbie says:

Wayne , I just got up to speed, STR and Cedars got into it and bam he is gone. Well when I copied and past like 5 posts in a row I was computer selected to get bounced. He fought hard for me when by mistake I thought I was banned. He informed me he had been having heated exchange with STR already back then, so taking a few minutes to ingest the new information, knowing Cedars I am not shocked it has happened. You all or most know Cedars and I are cyber buddies. This is the house that Scot built. Much respect for you man. I love my mate but STR has his rights. …… sad face.

  115. Zibbie says:

STR as you know I have a go at you on occasion on the Rooney thing, as of late great threads , Rooney looked truly sorry for his actions. I see a slight to moderate softening on your part. Props .

This time I would like to ask for you to revisit this and consider Cedars love again??

  116. Zibbie says:

Wayne I love my river valley. I do want to move to the Oregon coast west of Eugene. More like minded people in the NW for my liking. About as much like Canada as you can get outside of Maine. The weather 40 to 75 nice for me.

  117. King Eric says:

TonyBee and Zibbie – Yes very good thanks lads. He is at in laws tonight so lie in tomorrow. 11th wedding anniversary today!

  118. parryheid says:

Lot of guys forget they are here by invitation.Fuck with the gaffer and privalage withdrawn.Simple really

  119. Zibbie says:

    Congrats!!!

  120. samuel - united WE stand says:

Jones always looks awkward with his style of play. Always looks like someone who would get injuries but 2 months is a big blow. I can only imagine someone from the youth will have to step into the breach as Smalling is out too but he’s surely close to returning?. Anyway, who in our youth system is capable of making that step up?

  121. wayne says:

Zibbie i didn’t know Cedars had been banned, have no issues with any of those lads just don’t get why some are coming back to cause trouble and nothing else.My only issue with ND58 was promoting it on ROM without STR’S permission, thought that showed disrespect.
Mate you either have to be rich, racist or both to even think about voting for the Republicans and i mean racist against everyone, poor, minorities, woman, unions, middle class it’s disgusting .
Starts at the very top with billionaires like the Koch brothers who spend millions in advertising to get their candidate voted in,who then in turn starts changing laws in whatever district it might be.Then the marketing m/c Fox News,Rush Limbaugh, who just churn out lies and misinformation all the way down to just horrible racist cunts like Ted Nugent and Hank Williams Jr.Just mind boggling to me this race is even close
What can you say about Romney new book out about him he is Micheal Douglas out of Wallstreet, made his millions by destroying people’s lives, also a pathological liar, will do or say anything to become president, vile human being

  122. Zibbie says:

Parry, big decisions are a trip, to fire your 1st person. To make your 1st big call in management. To spends the companies money in a wise way. To develop the correct team for the project at hand. SAF does this at the highest of quality. He could run a fortune 500 company and make it hum. Love the man. It is his team and I can recall 6, 7 years back, he spanked his “boss” in the papers and took Gill to task to set his perimeters.

  123. Zibbie says:

Wayne I see and get your advertising view and agree. A mention here and there like Mr. Sneer did with Agent of Ferrgie.

  124. Zibbie says:

PAK advertising WTF!!!!!!!!!!!! Brain wash and people line up for the shower!!!!!!!

  125. Zibbie says:

sam, well said over 6 Rooney threads man!!

  126. Zibbie says:

RvP as most know I think he and Drogba were the PL best strikers, and Rooney best all around player. Now Man Utd have the PL best striker and best all around player. imo. With the addition of the Germans best player at the cam position we have been hoping for. Clevs development wow. WHAT AN ATTACK!!!!!!!!! Lile Pea Welbeck ZZZZOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMM

  127. Zibbie says:

If RvP gets 30+ PL games he can score 35+ PL goals he is that good.

  128. medumtum says:

Unbelievable this International break really. Cleverleys performance really makes me want to see the lad in another United match ASAP. For all our labored midfield, the potential there is incredible. Also making me wonder whether Toms best role isn’t the one behind the strikers, currently occupied by Kagawa. Although dont think cleverleys quite as big a goal threat as him, its still early going. Should be great to watch this team take shape.

  129. Zibbie says:

medumtum, that,s the entire plan, players that are interchangeable, running, rotating, covering and a flowing forward attacking triangle of advantage.

  130. Zibbie says:

RvP is showing or reminding how to use Lil Pea. Let him run into space for the ball. Using his pace and natural speed and flow.

  131. parryheid says:

Heilanders should be up in this,Serbia pretty average.Get intae thum Scotland.

  132. parryheid says:

Less than what I was looking for but both Serbia and the Croats are a long way short of qualifying from this group our danger is Belgium expect Scotland to eat them up.

  133. samuel - united WE stand says:

Cleverley still has big improvements to make. His style is mainly pass and move into another space, very wise but i’m still hoping he’ll bring more composure into his game. He tends to let shooting opportunities go begging by always trying to set team mates up when he could have easily slammed into the net. He also needs to be more crafty with key passes that can carve teams open and provide crucial assists. His short passing is very good but needs that extra to really kick on and be top class. He showed on loan at watford and wigan that he can score but playing for united is an entirely different level and more demanding, teams are more organised. therefore he has to impose himself more on games. At 23, he’s no where near the finished product, he also has time to get even better. Hopefully, we’ll see that.

  134. Proverb says:

Nick Powell: “I broke more sweat in 1 training session chasing Paul Scholes than in all my time at Crewe”

    Haha!!!
    Good afternoon everyone :D

This kid powell has some surprises, leaning from the ginger prince will sharpen him more…

  135. medumtum says:

    @Samuel
Agree with you there. The way Scholesy ‘runs’ the midfield looks beyond Tom for now. He still hasn’t got that play switching long ball, or that cutting long pass, but of course their styles of play are different. On the other hand he clearly has a great mind for football and once thats there no reason, barring injuries, why he shouldn’t kick on.
In other news Rooney making some decent comments about Van Persie. Really hope he returns sharp enough to take advantage of Van Persie’s creativity and vice versa. Both those guys firing up front is fantasy football…

  136. Proverb says:

    I second that sam
He’s more of a pass and move kinda player, and he needs to do more that just trying to set up a teammate specially on that role he’s being deployed at in englands national team
But all in all he’s bound to learn and with time he’ll get there
Everyone can see the potential Cleverley was excellent for 90 minutes and when you watch him, you understand why Sir Alex Ferguson is pleased with him, he was excellent vs italy too
When you imagine him playing against the likes of de rossi its a tough ask but he did good

  137. FletchTHEMAN says:

Crickey Bad luck for United defense………. again.

    Get well soon Jonesie!!!

  138. Zibbie says:

Crickey, I like that word. Crickey!

  139. parryheid says:

    Even better when it’s Crikey.

  140. Zibbie says:

Crikey. I use it wrong Crikey.

  141. WeAreUnited says:

Samuel I somehow don’t need to comment anything, cause you always take my words.

For me Cleverley is a very good player, he just need to get himself some status and appreciation by scoring some goals and creating more, so the team could depend on him and trust that he can do that extra stuff.

Like you said, he proved that when being loaned :) )

    Good post Samuel,. Like always!!!!

  142. denton davey says:

    SLOW NEWS DAY:

“Have you seen reports in the Spanish press this weekend? There was a European coaches seminar in Nyon with all the big dogs there… except for SAF and Pep Guardiola. Who happen to be in New York together. *Allegedly* SAF is planning to retire at the end of this season and Pep is the Man (had to use a capital M there) to replace him. Whilst Guardiola is in NY he is ‘perfecting his English language skills’. (Source: Mundo Deportivo)

  143. WeAreUnited says:

And for Jones injury, it’s a shame, cause he need to wait, he’s only 20 or 19?, so no hurries, but injuries are not a good thing for players.

I hope he gets well soon, ssame goes for Smalling!!!!

Jones for me, when he returns, should challenge the CB spot, he will not take it from Vida or Ferdinand, but he is the future on that place, so he should be played there!!! that’s my opinion. Of course the RB developes him, but he should be used more as a CB and challenge Ferdinand together with Smalling, and of course Evans, though I think Evans will always be a team player and not the one who will fullfill the boots of Ferdinand or Vidic.

I hope he proves me wrong, but i doubt it. I’m not saying he played poorly last year, cause he was at his top game, but still can’t see him being our top MAN, if and when Smalling and Jones recoveres and start playing :=)

  144. WeAreUnited says:

Let’s hope that, if we get Guardiola to “replace” (he cannot be replaced) SAF, then he brings MEssi and Iniesta :) PPPPPPP

would be awesome, who wouldn’t want them????

Anyone???? don’t think so :) hahahahah

for the long term future, I would put Scholesy or Babyface killer Solskjaer to be our future BOSS :)

  145. Redbilly says:

King Eric – congratulations re anniversary

  146. mickjk says:

    Incredible change of direction there.

  147. Redbilly says:

Big Sam will take over :-)

  148. wayne says:

David Moyes is the next Utd manager that’s the reason he’s stuck it out at Everton so long

  149. Busby babes says:

If i could pick anyone to take the reigns after SAF it would be Mourinho, without doubt.

  150. wayne says:

If Utd stick to British Moyes hands down, outside be either Maureen,Pep or Blanc

  151. WeAreUnited says:

I want a coach that will stick with us like Ferguson, that of course will be VEEERY hard to find, but that’s why solskjaer or scholes if he decides to come would be great.

Moyes isn’t bad either, cause he is british and would stick with us.

For me Blacn is a definet NO.

hard to say, mourinho is the special one, but our team would change dramastically and our attitude would become very arrogant with him, even though I like him, but for us??? maybe? hard to say.

And as for Pep, I would like him, so he could bring us Iniesta and Messi :D DD and his Barcelona style to our academy and formation and playing style :)

    we’ll see.

  152. wayne says:

I’m convinced it’ll be Moyes like denton been smoking the tea leaves

  153. Busby babes says:

Big personality will be needed to take the reigns after fergie, mourinho offers that in abundance, also he seems to develope a real good team ethic, aided with a winning mentality

  154. wayne says:

The way Maureen is going about winding up City about all money no history certainly doesn’t seem interested in going to that shithole

    Ha, suit yourselves guys
IMO, no one but sir alex
If he could hang on for a while, any new manager will always be a let down the legendary scots wonderful achievements are unmatched and he really set a bar in the pinnacle
So its always a biggest disappointment to see the boss leave no matter who replaces him

  156. parryheid says:

That story is a load of shite.

  157. wayne says:

unfortunately Proverb that day is sooner than later so there’s no point in living in denial,it’ll happen within the next 2 to 3 seasons

  158. wayne says:

i agree parry no way Sir Alex is in America discussing a takeover with Pep,find it silly to be honest

  159. Busby babes says:

    Proverb

Could’nt agree more although unfortunately that day will come at some point, just hope it’s a few more years down the line is kind will certainly not be seen again.

    Wayne

With regards to mourinho and city i totally agree with his recent statements regarding cash and carry, but chelsea did’nt offer much in that department prior to his arrivel.

  160. united.george says:

He is probably watching the US Open…..:-)

  161. wayne says:

Busby babes think he’s a different person now, hadn’t really proven himself then, now wants to go down as one of the greatest ever, the only way to truly do that is follow Sir Alex and continue winning in the Utd tradition,it’s all about ego and legacy with Maureen, proved everything else
I do think he wants the Utd job badly and would probably his last destination in club football

  162. Busby babes says:

    Wayne

To be fair m8 i do agree with that with regards to mourinho, one of the other question marks against him was him given youth a chance since his arrivel at madrid he’s given in the region of 12 players from youth set up they debut for the senior side.

  163. Zibbie says:

I saw the interview with Pep a long one. The guy asked him why he is in NY, he replied to learn to speak better English for me and my daughter.

I do believe this , more likely next year will be his last. then let a 30 year old cr go to city.

  164. Zibbie says:

Man Utd will be the only club to afford 3,4 200k per week players with the FFP. How cool is that.

  165. Proverb says:

But I’m sure the boss did go to US for the bollox
Then again I would want guardiola he’s such a 2 faced fucker
He does mot have the balls to lead united in a tough environmental place that PL proves to be
As soon as he saw the demands in spain were high that normal asked for a time off
He had everything at his disposal, who thinks he’ll cope with limited funds here
with due respect to guardiola and all his success at barca, but he would struggle miserably here
    I vote for moyes!!

  166. Proverb says:

  167. DreadedRed says:

  168. wayne says:

Busby babes a lot of reds hate him i have respect for him and like his attitude, everything is personnel with him and he’s his own man.The only reason Roman got rid of Maureen is because Maureen stood up to him and since has gone on to prove himself at Inter and Real.No one can doubt he’s a world class manager and would rather see him at Utd over Pep and Blanc
Having said all that i do love Moyes but stepping into Sir Alex’s shoes might be to much i know a lot of romantics want Ole just not realistic in my eyes

  169. DreadedRed says:

    Just kidding …

  170. Busby babes says:

I applaud the job moyes has done at everton, espically given the financial restraints he’s had to deal with there, but it’s also a big step up from everton to united, i would’nt have to much reservation about moyes taking the reigns if it were to happen but i’d like mourinho.

  171. Proverb says:

Fergie’s on the piss in New York City chilling with Sean Connery and butting in on an Andy Murray press conference ;)

  172. DreadedRed says:

wayne – with you on the alternative bloggers. The advertising is what I found unsavory.
I have nothing against any of their ‘members’

TonyBee – Unfortunate news about Cedars, thanks for the heads-up. Perhaps it can be resolved after a short break? StR is not childish or vindictive. If Cedars wants to return, that is. With regard to twats who attack any of our absent friends, we can hold the fort eh?

Phil Jones – another injury? Bad luck son. Keep your head up.

David Moyes? A good choice, in my opinion. Perhaps he’s not the most tactically astute or driven. Hard to tell because he’s at a club that survives by selling anyone that plays well. I like his character, I see him as loyal and relatively selfless. The opposite to Mourinho, whose selfish streak is channeled very well into winning trophies. I’m hoping they will both have retired from old age before SAF retires. Wishful thinking, but he’s outlasted so many “next Utd Manager” candidates, that a few more won’t be missed.

  173. Busby babes says:

    Wayne

SAF has made refrence to seeing himself in mourinho, not a bad trait that for jose, he seems to employ that us against the world mentality lol

  174. denton davey says:

Wayne @ 21:51: “I’m convinced it’ll be Moyes like denton been smoking the tea leaves”

I’m not endorsing the article – but it is interesting “in a tea leaves kinda-way”. Anyhow, my choice for the next UTD manager would be O-G S – in about ten years’ time.

SAF looks to be in great shape – both physically and mentally – and I’m sure that he’d go nuts if he was “forced” to retire since being the UTD manager has been a 24/7 job for him. I’d think that his wife wouldn’t be best-pleased with having him under-foot, either. You know, “tried it once, didn’t like it”.

  175. medumtum says:

Ole, scholes etc not happening anytime soon so no use thinking of them, since Sir Alex’s retirement will prolly be in the next couple of years. Out of the rest, I agree it should be someone who can bring continuity to the club. The sort that Sir Alex has brought. Understandably no one can match the legacy of Sir Alex, but the tradition of success should continue. Considering the sort of free reign and authority a manager at United will enjoy, it should be someone with a hunger and character to match. Pep stepping away from Barca the way he did, goes against him. Mourinho has made me wonder whether he could rebuild teams the way Sir Alex has, knowing the relationships he cultivates with his players. There is a ruthlessness thats needed with a long term vision, and lets not forget he was unable to match the challenge posed by United during his time here. Between the two Pep is easier on the mind since he hasn’t shown the need to be the constant center of attention. Honestly though the fire and hunger the Scotty Knight has shown is really one of a kind. Either one feels like a step down. Would’ve been great if one of SIr Alex’s old charges could have stepped up, but no one from Hughes to Brucie looks remotely ready or capable.

  176. wayne says:

Busby babes no doubt mate,Sir Alex and Maureen are good friends,he’s a fiery cunt who sticks by his players but is also not afraid to bench them,Sir Alex and Maureen are a lot alike
Can’t believe some Reds would won’t Ronaldo back based on ability,he’s a selfish trouble causer never want to see him back here no matter how good he is.

  177. wayne says:

I’m getting a little fed up with Nani’s attitude as well needs to start producing on a regular basis before demanding,he has nothing to be furious about,i know a lot of Reds think he’s world class, for me world class is producing the goods consistently not one every 4 or 5

    http://7cantonas.com/2012/09/nani-threatens-to-leave-united-for-free/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=nani-threatens-to-leave-united-for-free

  178. parryheid says:

Mourinho Pah,not in the same league as Guardiola his teams got battered year in year out.His answer buy in more players yearly, the result fucked again. No competition Pep takes over and no matter how much cash other teams(two) flash they wont be able to build attacks against his system as has been proved since he took Barca in hand.

  179. dazbomber says:

What gets me Ronaldo fucked off and left us in the shit, and everyone loves him, Rooney stayed and he get slagged

  180. DreadedRed says:

    From wayne’s link at 23:22

A source close to the player said: “He’s happy to sit there and see out his deal if United make things this difficult.”

That’s a vague indication that perhaps Nani is treading water. I think it’s off the mark.
Nani will sign an extension (+2 years?) before Christmas.

(I also want my two front teeth!)

  181. dazbomber says:

Nani drives me to destraction, so much skill but seems to make the wrong decisions when it matters

  182. medumtum says:

Looks like Nani wanted to stay more than anything else. Why we want to sell him is beyond me. I wonder if his salary demands are whats stalling a new contract. Just hope its not United looking to make back some of the cash spent this summer. I cant see another reason for getting rid of him honestly, his performances have been inconsistent but not unimportant. If Sir Alex has soured on him though…

  183. dazbomber says:

I hope the next match Sir Alex picks a team where all the player’s are in the right positions . No square pegs in round holes

  184. Zibbie says:

  185. Busby babes says:

  186. dazbomber says:

I work with a few City fans if you want to piss them off say our biggest game is coming up . Liverpool away.

  187. samuel - united WE stand says:

Mourinho’s mentality and United’s just do not blend. His career has been mainly about “Spend and buy all the quality you need”, he’s never built a team for the long term, he never brings players through or improve them. united just haven’t got the extravagant resources to cater for jose’s needs and therefore, he’ll get exposed for his true abilities as a manager. Sir alex is no saint but mourinho brings endless, irrelevant drama and circus with him and if the manager was to pass on the mantle, the portuguese would be the wrong man to hand it to. He would not carry on the philosophy set throughout the history of manchester united.

  188. DreadedRed says:

medumtum – I in no way think that United are considering off-loading Nani. I agree entirely with the balance of your 23:36. In my opinion, he wants United, and he adds a lot to our squad.

    Hey Inzibbie! How’s life mate?

  189. wayne says:

parry 100% disagree pep hasn’t proven fuck all got very lucky with talent made some bad signings for big money.Maureen has proven himself at 4 different clubs in 4 different leagues.Anyone who thinks there’s any comparison to Pep and Maureen is smoking dentons tea leaves.Love him or hate him Maureen is a world class manager,Pep still has to prove himself imo

  193. wayne says:

samuel how much did he spend when he won the CL with Porto that’s just not true, even if it was he’s won big trophy’s with every club he’s been to,lots of mangers get money to spend and still suck.Let’s not forget Inter took Barca out when that team was considered invincible.Sorry just can’t keep giving Maureen the all he knows is to buy players tag,he’s way more than that one of the best managers in the world and has proven it year after year

  194. Busby babes says:

    Samuel united we stand

Thats changed at madrid, he’s given debuts to roughly around 12 players from the youth set up, and the players he have intergrated have been relatively 25 or younger varane,di marie, ozil, kherida, callejon to name a few, jose is a very astute manager and i beleive he has the charcter to succeed fergie

  195. Zibbie says:

DaBoom SAF has a squad full of ballers. Play well where ever he asks. Rafa, Rio and Evans back with Buttner that’s 6 defenders, Carrick has 2 games with England and will play better at CMF. and RvP to get so many braces he will look a cripple this year.

The Nani question, is toxic to a point. If SAF wants him out, by. If he plays him 32 games good. He is a frustrating talent. Wants world 10 best $ and is 3 winger on the team.

  196. Costas says:

Unless we have a better player lined up to replace him, I don’t get the logic in playing hardball with Nani. Ever since the contract negoatiations collapsed, he’s been frozen out of the first team. And we saw at Southampton how useful Welbeck was in his place.

  197. Zibbie says:

    dazbomber says:
Hey Zibbie have you ever seen a tornado ?

  198. Busby babes says:

    Costas

I agree with that even though im in the opinion that at times nani over elaborates and his decision making could improve, i’d like him to see him realise his full potentail here, and i beleive he offers more variety than tony v and young in the sense they more one dimensional in some respects.

DaBoom, This town of thousands leveled. The football team is great there Aplington- Parkersberg that little school has put 7 football players into the NFL

  201. fergie is the boss says:

samuel – united WE stand – fergie is no different today to be honest in terms of squad rebuilding as RVP is a perfect example, yes he has developed players recently like welbeck and cleverly, but today’s game is different to years ago, and money will be spent on players. Let’s not use the 90′s kids reputation, because that side is a long time ago. Look at the squad, apart from Evans cleverly, which cleverly was still a signing, welbeck, and of course scholes and giggs, the squad has mostly been paid for. Mourinho does fit the united mentality, which of course all about winning. Like it or not, for someone to take ferguson’s place, you need a character like mourinho to handle that huge shadow looming over the next manager, with his I do not give a shit mentality. Because taking over from Ferguson will be a task that not any manager can handle, and no way can we have some manager with a meh reputation, it has to be the best manager money can buy

  202. wayne says:

Costas Utd are not playing hardball with Nani it’s Nani playing hardball with Utd,with two years still remaining wanted a 30 to 40 % a week pay raise for what?
There are ways to go about getting more money but demanding it when you’ve done fuck all to deserve it is not the way.Sir Alex is probably angry what’s with the Portuguese and Argie’s just want more and more without doing fuck all to justify it

I don’t know the details, but if it’s anything below 100-120 k per week, it’s not a lot to ask in today’s environment. And we’ve talked about players and their crazy demands, but the club opened up a can of worms when they offered Rooney and RVP what they are currently earning. You can’t expect the rest to shut up. But say we decide Nani isn’t worth what he asks for. What’s plan B? Like Busby Babes mentioned, the other wingers are more predictable than him. If we want to buy someone as good or better than Nani, it’s doubtful that his wage demands will be any better. Look at Hazard.

My comment about hardball is this tendency to stop using a player when our negotiations with him hit a roadblock. No matter what his attitude is in those negotiations, what goes on on the pitch is a different story. We nearly blew the Southampton game and one of the reasons was playing a striker in Nani’s place, when it’s been proven time and time again that Welbeck doesn’t cut it on the left.

  209. samuel - united WE stand says:

F.i.t.b – when mourinho comes, stays at the club for a year or two, gets itchy feet about the spending policy and dumps the club at its hour of need then you’ll find out his true ability. Take a little glance at inter and watch how they’re struggling badly now due to mourinho’s inability to lay down foundations for the long term.

The manager buys big players to blend in with the quality he has coming through, he builds and looks at the long term and not short term success, he’s not afraid to take the gamble on young players, something mourinho has never done. The portuguese is also very successful at destroying young players’ careers. Nuri sahin for one of many examples, he actually suggested he played at left back. He has never developed and improved youngsters, he has been given bottomless pit of cash to buy the very best and damn right he should be producing results. if he wasn’t, he would be sent packing.

There are no similarities between him and sir alex, the manager started with barely anything and he has galvanized the club and continued its history, he has carried on that crucial philosophy. This is not about 90s kids, this is about a manager who runs his clubs differently to what is required at united.

  210. samuel - united WE stand says:

I’m pretty certain that if mourinho was to get the united job, he would leave it at a more worse state than he found it. Chelsea found out, inter did and i hope united won’t be next, hopefully the manager will Help choose an adequate manager.

  211. wayne says:

Costas that’s the problem he’s already earning close to 100k a week and is looking for more closer to 140k if what i’ve read is true.Makes no sense to me why a player get’s freezed out but seems to be Sir Alex’s way.
Bottom line it’s how any one fan rates Nani,on his day gives me a hard on,more than not gives me a migraine,i’m a broken record but he has to get more consistent otherwise i don’t give a fuck if he’s here or not.The lad could become world class but he’s putting the cart before the horse and i’m sorry his stats last year were no better than Tony V or Young.I know you’re the stat man but i’m fairly confident on that one.

  212. wayne says:

samuel again not being funny but what Maureen built at Chelsea is the reason why they’ve maintained elite status how you can say Chelsea were worse off after Maureen is beyond me.What Maureen did was build the nucleus that has carried Chelsea through and after all these years is slowly being dismantled

  213. samuel - united WE stand says:

liverpool went through this, they were the dominant team in english football at one point but they never looked at laying the foundation for continuous thriving for the club and are suffering from those decisions. Sir alex has chased success and exerted a winning mentality but he also hasn’t forgotten the real core of a football club, it’s to bring younger quality players through, they will drive the club on beyond his tenure at the club. I just don’t think united will want mourinho, even bobby charlton has expressed his disapproval.

  214. fergie is the boss says:

samuel – united WE stand – mourinho is what I call a transitional manager, he is the bridge that builds the road for the next manager, which is allot easier. He comes in takes over from Ferguson, does a good job, the next manager takes his place. Because mourinho takes the pressure right off the club, because his personality is so dynamic he can handle the pressure, look at how he is handling Madrid, he has been ballsy, and taking control, which is a hell of allot more cynical and destructive than united.. But mourinho stays for 5 years, brings in the success he moves on, someone else comes in, and it is allot easier for the next manager, and for the club in general. And believe me, the shadow of mourinho is allot less daunting, than a Ferguson shadow. United do not need a long term manager after Ferguson for now, because there is no guarantee in football, you just need the personality that can be the bridge builder for the next manager, taking over from mourinho. No one can have the perfect squad to take over from ferguson, you just enough tools so the next manager can work with. And united will be handled perfectly, if mourinho arrived and leaves united. You just need someone like mourinh,o that will take the reigns from Ferguson that knows hows to handle these pressure situations.

  215. Costas says:

    @wayne

I have a hard time keeping track of assists. I do know he scored more goals than the other two. Valencia must have beat him in terms of assists though. I actually share the sentiment about him being frustrating at times. Mostly when he plays on the left. But he is not the only player to frustrate me. The same goes for Rooney and Berbatov (while he was still here). I don’t mind anyone playing for a 7 or 8 out of 10 if that’s the best they can do (Valencia and Young for example). But it annoys me when someone plays for a 7 or an 8 and they are capable for a 9. That’s how I look at Nani in terms of potential. I don’t know how much more consistent he can get, but like I said, what worries me is if we would replace him adequately.

  216. fergie is the boss says:

again samuel, you are missing the point, and contradicting yourself. Fergie this summer has not done anything different from mourinho. If Ferguson really does cares about the younger players? why did he sign RVP? a mourinho type signing that is experience, to take welbeck’s place. He could have not signed RVP ,and stuck with the youth and experience of rooney welbeck and hernandez. No he went out, and spent big money on a 29 year old to take welbeck’s place, and when everyone is fit, rooney and RVP who are 26/27 and 29/30. they will be ahead of the younger pair of hernandez and welbeck. So clearly youth is on the back burner, look at the squad, its filled with big money signings. 3 players of the united squad have come through the academy. A phil jones signing, is no different to a RVP signing, they were used with the club’s finances. I do not see this being any different to what mourinho would do, unless half or quarter of the united squad, is filled with academy players, then I will say the squad is built on youth, but it is not fully built on youth.

  217. Busby babes says:

    Samuel united we stand

I beleive there’s a few similarities between the 2, they both winners, both implement team camardrie, with a good work ethic, both big personalties, and both get the best out of their players, they play for the manager,

the dynamics have changed in football somewhat since fergie’s appointment in 86, he’s made refrence on a few occasions that he himself may not still have been at the helm if he had taken the job in the modern era given the cut throat nature of todays game, but in saying that i do beleive fergie’s tenure is a great blueprint for the long term benefit of a club,

Mourinho does also improve personals game sneijder played some of his best football under his stewardship, marcelo has improved defensively under is watch, without going on naming names , i think again alot to do with mourinho is his man-management, exactly what fergie’s great at. but each to their own m8

  218. samuel - united WE stand says:

Wayne – tell me how many players came through the system at chelsea or even had any chance of getting in when mourinho was in charge?. He was supported by an oligarch, he bought loads of expensive players, he was expected to produce quick and instant success which he did. He left and chelsea were left with an ageing squad, he left no foundation for continuous thriving but that’s ok because roman can afford to roll out the oil money for more expensive, he can afford to buy anyone. United simply can’t do that despite occasional outlay on a big signing or two, we need our manager to get the best out of the resources he has whilst also placing importance on youngsters. Mourinho won’t do that and he certainly won’t last long enough to build anything. He goes around massaging his ego at big clubs, united would be the ideal opportunity to do that for him.

  219. Cantona got me here says:

For F sake. I love ya ya Wayne and Zibbie but US politics on a fucking Unitted blog? Can we please escape that shit on a place like this? And trust me Romney does not do it for me either.

  220. fergie is the boss says:

samuel – united WE stand – lets compare the amount of players come through united since 2005, and mourinho since 2005, obvious fergie wins, but by a huge margin? no, They are single figures. You are holding onto an old belief, that is years old. This is not the 1980′s, or 1990′s, it is 2012 Times have changed, even fergie has said this. No offence, but our ownership does not exactly speak to me, they care about the club. At-least with the Russian, he put chelsea on the map and had them challenging our dominance. Fergie has spent a kings ransom in the last 2 years, wages have gone up, and with this squad, add 2 more players a CM and a CB, it has the tools to go very far indeed. United like any club, will always need squad maintenance, that is the way footie works. Players age, they move on, others take the place

  221. Busby babes says:

    Samuel united we stand

Your take on youth im in agreement with in regards to mourinho although that’s changed at real, the spine of the chelsea side in his tenure was cech, terry, makalele, lampard, drogba, few years on minus makalele that spine played a vital part in winning the europaen cup for chelsea.

  222. Busby babes says:

ok minus terry to cause he’s a cock lol

  223. wayne says:

Cantona that was carried on from the night before,it’s ok to judge when you show up and make one comment about what the blog should be about but don’t offer anything but to criticize Zibbie and i,so before you have a go offer something constructive i can respond to or shut your fucking mouth
    thank you

  224. Cantona got me here says:

Fitb- not sure its the special one but I agree we need a huge name. You hear all these young players talk about the excitement of meeting SAF etc…when they sign. We will need a manager that has that type of pull. Barca and Real have their power , Shiitty and Chelksi have the cash, we have the aura and SAF, in this day and age we can’t take a risk on a guy like Moyes. Which is sad, in my humble opinion.

  225. Cantona got me here says:

Sure Wayne, but Romeny/Obama on RoM? wtf? That was a stunner.

  226. samuel - united WE stand says:

F.i.t.b – I’m rarely one to hold on to the past, you do not get my point about youth. At a big club, it’s difficult for youngsters to make it but the manager still has the intent to bring them through and that’s what will carry the club. You think mourinho will join to spend a couple of millions and scrap for rough diamonds? i doubt it. He’ll join the club with a promise to spend the money united do not have.
I’ve mentioned before, the manager spends big but not as extravagant as the portuguese.
The manager also has tendencies to give young stars an opportunity, it’s a balancing act that mourinho has never achieved.
Anyway, i’ll hopefully enjoy viewing the legend that is sir alex continuously orchestrating the club, i’m not looking at another manager yet.

Busby – how many of those youngsters do you really think will be given serious consideration by mourinho? they’ll be seen fleetingly in cup games but he never places emphasis on them.

  227. wayne says:

samuel Maureen signed Cole,Droba,Ballack,Robben,Essien, who had an effect in Chelsea’s success but i think the main point he turned the club into winners, his whole attitude is one of a winner.Listen mate if you don’t rate him fine,i do and i like the fact he’ll go after opposition coaches and bite them in the ear or whatever the fuck he did.I want a boxer in my corner not a pussy and as i’ve said before Maureen is a fighter very intelligent and takes everything personnel, great tactician and i have no issues with him taking over from Sir Alex at all,i rate him very highly

He can be cunning with the press which is good to an extent but it also brings unwanted drama. For all sir alex’s ruthless demeanour, he’s always had class. Anyway, we can agree to disagree on this point.

‘He made me have wine,’ said Judy Murray (Andy’s mum) of Ferguson. ‘He has just been telling me that Scotland invented the world.’

‘Been coming here the last three years to New Yok and I explained how Scotland invented the world,’ said Ferguson, repreating Judy Murray. ‘Today we invented the wind.’

‘Today they conquered the world,’ shouted out Connery.

Ferguson was full of praise for his countryman, telling him, ‘Well Done, well done.’

‘It has been a strange day for sure,’ said Murray. ‘I’m a huge James Bond fan and I love football as well. @ Chelsea – all the good players were bought in by Ranieri or at the Club when Mourhinio got there. Maureen bought Malouda and Kalou and Joe Cole…where are they now? Chelsea were boring as hell when he was there.

At Inter the players were there at Madrid, the top players were there.

If he has the players he is good at getting the best out them and is tactically savy and a good motivator.

He is in completely unproven in buying players for good value and developing them and Chelsea has no youth coming through or developing when he was there, that is being done now. The players he bought at Chelsea and Inter were the ones that did not make the mark.

I don’t like Mourhinio, hated him at Chelsea, immature pratt who poked a Barca coach in the eye, he is not United material. I would hate him as manager.

  255. NBI Red Onion says:

@ wayne, absolutely mate. Season is young and exciting. I remember everyone being excited by Cleverly-Ando and Pea and Welbeck breakthroughs last year.

This season looks like a tough one, the margin for error in the EPL is so small and there are no weak teams other than Liverpool. I think our defence is critical, we have to have that fit and solid as Chelsea and City have a good defence and Arsenal a more settled defence. If we can maintain our away record and tighten up at home, we have a good chance. This title race feels wide open and I think Le Arse will also be thereabouts. Don’t rate AVB, he seems to have taken the football joy out of Spurs, they are thinking to much on the pitch and not playing their natural game, don’t see them in top 4.

I think the goals and points for us and City were so high last season due to Europe exit, we have to hope all teams stay in Europe for a while if we do so as that extra rest could otherwise hurt us. That said, I would be seriously pissed if United fail to pass the group stage this year especially with the easy group we have, relatively.

Sadly, SAF can’t live forever. Between Mourinho and Guardiola though, I would go for Mourinho. Like someone said earlier, he has been proven in four different leagues. No small feat. What irks me though is his restlessness. There is a hunger in that which is good. A hunger to be the best which is kind of who we are but that hunger makes me wonder if he isn’t trying to feel a void in his soul. Imagine Mourinho winning the champions league with us and the EPL just after 2years. I bet my soul, he would walk and leave us in the same situation which we currently are anticipating, looking for a new gaffer. My tuppence anyway

  264. Dickosbetting says:

  265. Ash says:

I don’t believe Mourinho will leave man united in 2 or 3 years like many think. I know he doesn’t stay for that long but Mourinho himself said its his dream to manage Man united so why would he leave so quickly. And moreover where will he go from here. He has done it all. He has managed in every top club. He may manage Bayern munich in some time or become manager of Psg or some money making club but I doubt he will manage any other club in england or spain or even in Italy. He won’t go to city after managing united and same he now won’t go to Barcelona as they hate him with passion , so he himself knows Man united will be his last big stop. He will be here for atleast 4 seasons. No one can manage as long as Sir alex has managed. So forget about some manager managing us for 20 odd years. Gone are those time.
The only thing mourinho has not done is manage any national country. So after leaving united he will go to manage some country preferably Portugal. So I don’t think he will leave us very soon.

I agree with what you say regarding his tenure at chelsea regarding youth, i dont know wether that was due to roman’s demands, but the players he purchased at chelsea we’re for the immediate term i,e essien, carvalho, drogba etc, etc players who would impact the team instantley. worth noting though only terry springs to mind to have made the step up to the senior side thats prior and since mourinho’s involvement at chelsea, although that may change with bertrand, and maybe josh mc time will tell.

To be fair i have’nt followed is managerial career too closely, but he give davide santon his chance at inter, and he’s given a few youngsters a chance at real madrid, he may use them in cup competitions in the hope one can steak a claim, even our great scot has used that has an opptunity for youngsters to show case what they can do.

All in all it’s about opinions i respect yours m8, but me personally i beleive he has what it takes to take the reigns off the great man him self, in which i hope fergie is here a long time yet.

  270. Marq says:

Its interesting to read how people suggest Mourinho has always bought himself to success, yet there are people who says his buys are not good. So did he buy himself to success?

To me the answer is no, his buys are questionable, and the notion that he does not bring young players forward can also be attributed to the clubs he managed and the owners he had to please. Try telling Roman you need 4 years to built a team, which Sir Alex initially did. Mourinho was sacked after half a season of questionable results! And try telling Madrid fans to let Barca win 4 more titles before he can change things around. I think you get what I mean.

His football is boring? His Madrid side scored goals for fun last season, and if that is boring, I don’t know what people deem as fancy. Arsenal?

One thing for sure Mourinho is very good at, is instilling the winner’s mentality, bring the best out of current players. Like Sir Alex, he has the ability to motivate his players to punch above their weight constantly.

Yes he is not the best personality out there, but he is our best bet. Its not a beauty contest, especially in the financial situation we are in. The need for immediate success to sustain our debt repayment might just give Mourinho the advantage over others in the queue.

Lastly, Sir Alex will be the one choosing, so we give all have to agree to disagree. The great man has gotten most things right, trust him to get it right when passing the baton

With endless wad of cash he gets given, success is for certain. Despite the fairytale that you’d want happening, mourinho will not change his mentality even at a club like united. It’s quick success and move for him, he’ll leave united high and dry and judging by his decisions throughout his career, that’s a certainty.

No wonder why bobby charlton doesn’t want him anywhere near the club, he’s experienced and knows a thing or two.

“Quite frankly, they do produce. The South Americans love playing football, it’s just in their blood. The three Brazilians – Anderson, Rafael and Fabio – love it and are first to training every morning. It’s a breath of fresh air.”

“Antonio Valencia is as tough as nails with great discipline about him. Chicharito has a fantastic attitude to playing and everything else. It’s really good. We’ve done very well in Central and South America in the last two or three years.”

  273. DreadedRed says:

Jonny Evans played in Northern Ireland’s defeat to Russia. He remains a doubt for Tuesday’s home clash against Luxembourg:

“I’ve only played one reserve game this season after having the surgery in the summer so to be honest, it was just good to get back on the pitch. But I felt my ankle after about five minutes. It was the same one I had surgery on in the summer but I got a heavier strap put on it and I was able to carry on for the second half.”

“I was disappointed I felt pain so quickly in the game but if I’m being honest, I always expected I would feel a little pain – just not that early. After a couple of painkillers it did feel a bit better and if anything I felt stronger as the game went on, but like I say, I had a heavier strapping on then.”

  274. DreadedRed says:

Excerpt from Rooney’s book, ‘My Decade in the Premier League:

“In the time I’ve been playing with Ronnie, the one thing I’ve noticed about him is that he can’t walk past his reflection without admiring it, even if we’re about to play a game of football. Every match, before the team goes out for the warm-up, he runs through the same routine. The kit goes on, the boots go on. Not long after, Ronnie turns to his reflection and stares, psyching himself up for the game. If there’s one person with a bigger self-belief than Ronaldo, I haven’t met him yet. He’s not shy.”

What makes me think he won’t leave? Read my post you will find the answer. He may be egoistical, So what Everyone is. We don’t want Mourinho to change his winning mentality. You may not like him, its ok but you cannot deny he is a great manager. As far as buying goes, tell me which manager doesn’t buy. And he doesn’t spend crazy money. In chelsea and Real madrid there owner loves to buy players, so itsa not his fault. When he was in inter he didn’t spend that much money yet he made them win the champions league. Great achievement that was. Same with porto. He took bunch of guys and made them special, now that is something great. Not every manager can be successful. Look at AVB, he also had the money to spend but what happened to him, he got sacked. I dxon’t know whether our next manager will be mourinho but what I know is I will not be against his appointment. Honestly I don’t want a situation where our next manager is not able to win trophies. Hhonestly we don’t want to go in liverpool or arsenal way.

  276. samuel - united WE stand says:

“He’s a winner”? what, pep guardiola isn’t a winner? he’s won more within a short space of time in management and has spent far less. I’m not suggesting the spaniard is a definite solution but his philosophy would suit united. People assume because he isn’t out looking like a maniac in the press like mourinho then he isn’t just as good at motivating or whatever gets rolled out.

mourinho’s rise to the top has been aided massively by the huge transfer kitty he has at his disposal. he’ll at first get excited about the prosect of carrying on the work left by the manager (the ideal thing to get increase his ego) and as time passes, he’ll get frustrated about the club’s inability to buy 5 world class, ready made players at once, he’ll walk back to chelsea (which is where he’s best loved) and the club and its fans will be left picking the pieces. I don’t think people realise the consequences of the portuguese walking through the door, it’s not going to end well.

I don’t know who the club wants as a replacement but i hope they ponder carefully and pick right as whatever they do, it will impact down the line.

  277. Costas says:

    Thanks DreadedRed.

Jonny has been battling this ankle problem since his first season in the first team. He finally had it operated on this summer and he shouldn’t rush back in. Give him a rest against Luxembourg I say.

  278. Ash says:

Someone above said very well. How many youngsters is Sir alex giving chances? Sir alex believes in youth but we also don’t play every youngster regularly. Sir alex knows there should be balance between youth and experience. Mourinho does that very well. Look at real madrid squad. He has given some youngster a great opportunity. Now samuel you will point out sahin. You cannot give everyone chance. I will take the example of arsenal. Wenger is one manager who loves to play youngster but look what they have won in last 8 years. 8 FUCKING YEARS without a trophy! Every top player leaves them. I don’t want that kind of situation to happen. Youth is not everything. There should be a balance.

  279. DreadedRed says:

    Anytime Costas!

It worries me that Jonny’s reaction to the pain was extra strapping. I somehow doubt that United would have kept him on the park. I agree, rest him against Luxembourg. Surely they can be beaten without Jonny’s assistance, they’re not exactly a football powerhouse.

  280. Ash says:

    Samuel

Pep will also be a good replacement but he also has left barca in 4 seasons. Now willt you say he will also leave united after 3 or 4 seasons? Pep also spent money. Remember his Ibra transfer where he sold eto + some heafty amount for Ibra and also he spend some big money on Mascherano,Villa,Sanchez,Fabregas etc. Now won’t you say he also buys trophy. Look mate if you want to highlight negatives then every fucking individual will have one. No one is Flawless.
Honestly if our next manager is either Pep or mourinho I will be ecstatic. Ole will also be great provided he can handle the pressure. I won’t hurry on ole. It would be best if he takes over Phelan as our #2 for few years then he can become our manager. Whoever replaces Fergie will have big shoes to fill in.

  281. samuel - united WE stand says:

Ash – if you have a first team filled with world class talents then you could motivate them. Winning mentality yes, but easy when you can anyone. Managers do bring big players in but not as frequently and completely unnecessarily as mourinho. It’s not his fault? whose fault is it? he’s a manager who moves to clubs to bring instant glory and then leave, he’s not ready and i honestly doubt his ability to build anything for the long term. It’s far more difficult to find rough diamonds and turn them into stars or develop younger players into brilliant ones than it’s to bring any expensive player in to replace the one you think won’t get any better.

I’m not claiming continuous success is not important but it also has to be balanced out with laying of foundations that will carry on the club’s flag. Mourinho’s previous clubs have suffered from his “Quick success” chasing mentality, he never does anything to aid the club he leaves beyond his tenure. All he thinks about is polishing that obvious great CV of his, adding united to it would make him a very happy man but there will be untold repercussions if he arrives. Inter as i’ve said, are an example.

  282. Costas says:

    @DreadedRed

It’s a tough injury to handle. The ankles carry the body’s entire weight. Maybe some pain in your first competitive game back is natural. But since he felt some discomfort, he should be eased back in. I guess that’s why he hasn’t featured a lot for us this season even though he’s been medically cleared. I doubt it will happen, but hopefully the Northern Ireland manager will look at the bigger picture here.

  283. samuel - united WE stand says:

I’m not saying go wenger style and fill the team with complete novice but you have to balance it out and always look at aiding a club beyond your tenure. My point is, mourinho has never done this and that’s a course for worry. I also don’t think any youth has a chance of making while he’s in charge at clubs, he won’t be willing to take a gamble on a couple. Of course youth is everything, what do you think manchester united was built on? russian oligarchs cash?. It’s the glue that bonds this club and yes united will buy one or two big name a season as the club this size would but it still instills belief into any player in the youth system that if you step up, you will get the opportunity. Under the portuguese, far too many careers went downhill and if you think united will give him the unlimited cash he’s used to then you’re dreaming.

Of course every manager has his flaws and sir alex isn’t perfect like any human being but his mentality has always been about putting united first and doing what’s best for the club. as i’ve witnessed several times, jose does what makes jose happy.

Anyway, i’ll enjoy while the manager stays in charge because anything beyond him is frankly a let down for me.

  285. DreadedRed says:

Costas – Michael O’Neill and Jonny Evans must take joint responsibility. Evans being a sacrificial calf by putting his best foot forward will strain his tenuous link to good health. His ankle being leg-endary, best he doesn’t turn over the supporters by ignoring the pain, strapping young lad or no.

Kaka and Ronaldo were not bought during Mourinho’s tenure. So how can you say he buys too many star players frequently. Khedira,Ozil,Modric are good buy and Mourinho has done shrewd business. WHere are the star buys that you pointed out.
You say manager are motivated by great players around them. Agreed but still you have to take those star players and win trophies. Its not easy. Real madrid could not progress beyond round of 16 for 5 seasons continuously from 04-09 if I am not wrong. Then also they had some great players but they could not perform that well. With mourinho in charge they have defeated Barca and are the La liga champions. Like I said I don’t know who will be our next manager but I do hope it better be someone who can handle the pressure and Mourinho and Pep come to my mind who can handle the pressure.

He got lucky? If that was the case and it isn’t then grab him he’s annointed. This guy would carry United forward for however long he was manager and if he moved on it would not be before the FFP kicked in.And boy what damage he would do to City and Chelsea’s hopes of glory would be a joy.So Wayne it’s not a case of him being hit with the lucky stick Barca’s whole playing was designed by him as was Spain’s national team haven’t done badly have they ?

  291. Marq says:

We don’t want a new medical centre so that our players can get over their injuries faster

We want them to not have injuries in the first place!

  292. medumtum says:

Agree with the lot that say Mourinho has actually done some shrewd business, and the success he achieved with Porto and Inter wasn’t bought. The moment he left Inter sort of fell away, half the players in their squad stopped performing. And mourinho is something of a tactical savant. Amazing really the way he can set up a team not to be beaten and then reconfigure them for attack when needed, things he has done with Madrid in equal measure. He also is a practitioner of the sort of siege mentality that SIr Alex has perfected. Having said that the guy is a walking “look at me” sign. It maybe a tactic to get pressure off his players but really the antics he has gotten upto, including that poke in the eye, make it more about mourinho than anything else. And to imagine the club of Bobby Charlton, Paul Scholes, etc be run by such a figure is difficult to swallow. Sir Alex has always maintained a quiet dignity about the way the club operates. Its a tight ship, according to a certain philosophy, which is what brings sustainable success. Mourinho has never shown himself committed to any club or style of play. And the crucial thing which is something neither mourinho nor Pep have done is rebuild a side when needed. Atleast Pep has a philosophy he subscribes to, and his actions are linked to a club ethos, something that could help United all the way from academy level to our system of play onfield. Whether he or mourinho have that ability to ruthlessly rebuild sides is something time will tell, it is after all what separates Sir Alex from the rest of the managers. So over all Pep shades it for me.

  294. fergie is the boss says:

Ash – I said this on here, I would rather the shadow of mourinho hanging over the club than fergie, mourinho would be a transitional manager, so when mourinho leaves, it will be easier for the club to find a new manager, than finding some hack just after fergie leaves.

Some interesting posts. I find it funny fans are looking for a long term manager from the off
It’s unrealistic and quite daft to be honest.
Fergie didn’t imagine he’d be here 10 years much less still be in the job in his 70′s
I’ll take ANY manager who feels proud of managing United and ofcourse some experience in European football and managing players.. anything else is a pipe dream.
The same fans who turn their noses at Jose will be begging for him if day ole goes two years with Fuck all to show for it. This is the flip side of so much success under one manager.
An unrealistic belief we can get some one of the same cloth. Whoever comes in will have his own agenda and like I said if he’s happy with the terms and proud to manage the club, that’s fine by me

if shrewd business is buying luka modric for 33million then i don’t know what else to say. He’s always bought the most obvious world class player and has been helped by the top players already at the club he joins. Those that know exactly will know the consequences of mourinho, he’s mentality is best at the likes of PSG who will shower him with his usual unlimited budget.

Slim – yet again, you fail at analysing comments. when i say ‘long term’ i could mean entirely different things. I’ve said it, even if a manager was to stay for 2 to 3years, he should not only chase success but also lay down the right foundation to ensure the club continues on the right track. Sir alex is doing that and the next manager will benefit, mourinho comes in and his successor will have nothing else to work on. Why? because mourinho only goes around increasing his ego at big clubs, it’s all about him and if you prefer that then there are a lot more people that do not. not championing ‘ole’ for the role, i’m simply wanting an adequate manager that will carry on the symbol of the club. Thankfully, the manager and the experienced guys around him will make the right choice.

  304. Ash says:

    Samuel

Sorry to say buddy but you are talking rubbish. Tell me which was the last player that Mourinho bought in real madrid before Modric. You are playing the same band again and again that Mourinho just buy world class players yet you are not naming me one. You say pep will be suitable to replace Fergie (Agreed) but you fail to acknowledge that even pep spent loads of money.

One more thing a manager cannot spoil the foundation of a big club like Man united in 3 or 4 or 5 seasons. He won 2 league tittle with chelsea and when he left Chelsea did not win anything so It becomes mourinho’s fault. Chelsea never had any youth academy. So its the fault of Mourinho that they don’t have one. IF it was not for Mourinho’s brilliance chelsea would have not been in the map. Come on who were chelsea before 2004. Nothing. Chelsea are still one of the top clubs in england so how come mourinho have left them high and dry is beyond me.

Now coming to inter. Mourinho took them one step ahead and made them special. He took just above average players and not world class and made them win the europe. Milito, Eto,o,Sneijder were all playing great under him and then he leaves and tnone of them are performing so it becomes the fault of mourinho. You should blame Rafa benitez for Inter milan’s downfall.

Manchester united has a foundation for more than 50 years and no one can spoil it in 3 or 5 years. Chelsea had no foundation. He made them one. Porto also had minimum foundation he made them the best in portugese liga. Inter were just great because of mourinho and when he left they again became mediocre.

You may not like him personally and thats OK but he is still one of the best managers in current era. Whether he manage united is one to look for the future. I don’t want our club being trophyless for 7 or 8 season. Period.

I was so funny to here their story, about how Irish guys head but in a fight real well because of soccer and heading the ball. In their 1st of 3 brawls 2 got their noses broke, the last guy in the last fight with a boot to the face.

  319. samuel - united WE stand says:

Zibbie – if look at the signings made by sir alex, you can see the blend between signing a marquee world class player in VanPersie and the players who are potential and will work towards being top class (angelo henriquez, alexander buttner, nick powell, kagawa), whilst also bringing more players through the youth system. This is the fantastic balance sir alex makes, he chases success but he also knows he won’t be the manager for too long and is laying down quality resources for the next manager and this is the philosophy the manager will want when they choose his replacement. All i can say is, whoever takes on the baton from sir alex has a massive job but like i’ve said, let’s enjoy the wily scot’s presence at the club for now.

  320. Zibbie says:

The great thing about how Rooney is slow to come back to form when gone, Man Utd is stacked on the attacking side now. Less to no worries when he is laid up, and he is not counted on to deliver instant goals and wins upon his return and the 3 games back to speed thing. Now after those 3 games back up to speed thing. Kagawa, RvP and Wazza. HUM how wonderful is this thought. We all know until it happens have some some unanswered questions. We all feel this and have RoM to share our anxiety until we see the 3 together and how well they mesh.

He’s yet to have a full season in the united first team, he still needs more time to improve aspects of his game. Comments like that from woy are what places unwanted pressure on him, if he doesn’t keep up that performance then he’ll be absolutely lambasted. Plus why is he played as a number 10 for england but we play him in central midfield?.

well, look at yourself, you are doing exactly that on ND58 here and you called names even..

does the existence of ND58 or mention of Cedars or others makes you feel sick? then dont feel because you dint feel it when we got the rough treatment here..

and stop stirring shit on ND58 and it’s regulars,

i m just trying to prove you something, which is exactly what you are doing with Pint Glass..

and just like how you are against the posts of Pint Glass mentioning some names on here,

You have no fucking reason to get sick when other mention other names or Nd 58..

It’s not your fucking blog, it’s STR’s and he sure knows how to handle the blog right?

Cleverley’s under pressure from the off m8 has he’s perceived to take scholes, role within in the club, expectitions dont come much bigger than that, under fergie’s watch that kid will certainly have the right mentality to deal with such expectition coming is way from pundits, journalists alike etc some people thrive on such expectition. but agree m8 typical british mentality at times jumping before they can walk so to speak.

how do you comment on this nd58 m8?

  341. DreadedRed says:

In my opinion, wayne is completely justified in challenging the specific individuals that have recently attacked him without reason. In the last month or so, there have been a few ex-semi-regulars that have posted attacks on wayne, and then run away. wayne has called their bluff. They now know that if they have a problem with him, they should deal with him directly. Instead of hiding behind their anonymity while launching snide and baseless rebukes; they should post logical, supported views. If actually all they want to do is harm wayne, then they should meet up with him and do their worst.

They are cowardly wanna-be’s that stand at the back and throw rocks or vegetables, being sure not to put themselves at any risk.

Unlike wayne, who is a consistent, intelligent conversationalist. He is as Red as any on RoM.
There are no long-term valuable RoM locals who will or can deny that.

You started a RoM Facebook page a while ago, hows that working out?

You haven’t been commenting on RoM, so I’m not sure how up-to-date you are with events. At 12:03 on this thread TonyBee mentioned to me that “Cedars & StR had a falling out over Cedar’s advertising and he got banned.” The advertising that StR was not happy about, was for the very forum that you mentioned 5 times in one comment at 20:31.

Were you not aware of that, or did you just ignore our host’s position?

@ wayne – ha – you’re on, once I have my dates and get to Canada will get your number and see if we can meet up.

    I Like Wayne.
When I have a concern or trouble with another poster, I like to handle it with them, not to many other opinions, as most know. I like Wayne, and much of that is his approach, views, the way he is so fucking consistent.

2 years back we battled like men. I got where I was wrong, in time we talked. As you see we chat it up when most of the Red world sleeps. If people have problems with that. I say they have many problems.

It hit him as me when people snipe and run with personal attacks. For I have a big problem with attacking the person over views. Call me a cunt , you just might get a response.

Another great goal from a quality striker. Get young to take the corners frm now on and keep r.v.p in the box.

  346. TonyBee says:

    be careful what you post..

.the blog police will get you…..

    or offer to fight you…..

or defend others that want to fight you…

    dear dear this is poor

can you hear me mother….i think its time I came home…..

  347. TonyBee says:

Zibbie…. You aint a cunt though….neither is Wayne….but offering to actually fight somebody over an internet argument is just plain fucking stupid….

if a poster is acting like a twat ..tell him… don’t… beat a bout the bush …just tell the fucker straight….

no need to say ..name the place and we can fight…. childish imbecilic drivel….
