  4. REDibro says:

as soon as it hit his chest i knew it was flying in. fancy him for a few more today. anyone know whats up with Anderson? Carrick is looking like he’s forgotten what to do in the middle of the park.

  5. medumtum says:

Clinical and class. Just hope we speed it up through the center, and not allow their defense time to reform while we dawdle in midfield.

  6. Georgejoseph says:

We need a midfielder. It’s so fucking obvious for 3 years . Unbelievable

  7. Georgejoseph says:

  27. Mike says:

Well here we go again. Lets hope we don’t go to the 89th min of the last game of the season and think “shit how many fuckin sitters and shit show boating penalties did we miss this season?”

  28. bbqbod says:

face it lads…if we had the money that chelski and shitty have got…i reckon 75% of this utd team would not be in the team! Still, doesn’t mean we should be getting raped by Everton and Southampton

  29. Marq says:

Still think our midfield is ok?

  30. iced earth says:

at least get a fucking point
    come on!!!!

  31. bbqbod says:

  32. zelh says:

haha laughing at Froggie and all the people who had the arrogance to tell me that our midfield is good enough.

    eat your fucking humble pie.

  33. bbqbod says:

nothing has changed from last season for us.
its a fucking miracle that we came so close to actually winning the prem!
We just don’t create the chances to score goals like we used to. Our midfield is pants.

  34. oz says:

mike dean gave you a spotkick .how is it his fault rvp took it loike a girl lol.

  35. bbqbod says:

sthmptn are sitting very deep now..we got 5 mins to score

  36. va7encia says:

fucks sake managed to delude myself into thinking we were signing a new midfielder like tiote but it never happens and now we’re getting fooked by southampton ffs. fergies 1000th game with his worst midfield ever

  37. iced earth says:

next game please, the game finshed after rvp miss
    we will bounce back

  38. bbqbod says:

    and there it is

  39. medumtum says:

Still look frail at the back from setpieces. Just hope we have enough fight to attack at the other end.

  40. bbqbod says:

    how dooooo youuu feeeeeeeeeeeeeeel

  41. iced earth says:

  43. Marq says:

Got out of jail, great job Rvp, but please let it not hide the fact that our midfield got overrun again

  44. kel says:

So pissed off with the lagging of the streaming that i missed last goal!!! How the hell!!!

  45. iced earth says:

    thank you rvp
    thank yourvp

    thank you rvp

  46. WeAreUnited says:

    YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEs

  47. Rd5454 says:

Hero to zero then hero! Crazy

  48. xol says:

    Fuck you Southampton.

  49. Colbert says:

Papering over the cracks, that’s what that felt like. Still, well done van Persie.

  50. Pratyush says:

    All you bastards uppost:

How the bloody fuck do you feel now?

We are Manchester United. We Never Give Up. Don’t deserve to call yourself fans. Go eat some shit.

  51. iDon says:

    RvP simply the Best

  52. Georgejoseph says:

Just stop jumping on the sofa. We still need a midfield game only changed once scholes came on. Weilbeck and cleverly are not good enough .

  53. Eric keane says:

Holy fucking shit.. Flying dutchman !

  54. Mike says:

Fuck me we play like that against a decent team……. I know we won but bloody ell, honestly (take rvp aside) finding it hard to pick a utd player who had a good game? The back looked really dodgy no imagination or bite in the midfield field. Glass half empty, we have some big problems, glass half full we played shit but got the win and can only get better!

  55. xol says:

    lol at all the comments
    Very poor.
    Ok, most of the comments.
    all of George Josephs.

  56. Ash says:

Where are the doubters now. RVP = class player

  57. Vidic says:

RvP He Scores When He Wants !!!!

  58. WeAreUnited says:

we leave it always late, whyyyyyyyyyy my heart can’t stand another 10 years of this.

it has 13 years but again and again and again.

The last three years we have started to play when we are down and at the last 5 minutes of the game, that MUST STOP!

  59. ice cube says:

Great comeback. We are trying to play a certain way, but the PL doesn’t give the same protection as last liga. We are missing a player who can out muscle other teams players. We are the ones getting out muscled. Still early days.

  60. Georgejoseph says:

Rvp is our only reason we pulled the rabbit out of the hat

  61. Marq says:

    @Colbert

That’s what I feel too. Not exactly elated, because we won because they started to sit back. Lambert going off changed the game for us, not Scholes coming on

  62. Eric keane says:

We were poor.. We lacked coherent play. We couldnt pass. We didnt have any link up play. Bad defence.. Fuck all that. We fucking won! We fucking did it again!
United gave me a heart attack again..
Winning fergie’s 1000th game in fergie time. Cant get more poetic can it.

  63. 3redstars says:

How big will those 3 pts be in the spring? Big. RVP pulls it out of the fire! Could have had 6 today, but we’ll happily take the hat trick. Much better from Nani.

  64. Mike says:

Hey Prratush…. You’re deluded if you think for one moment that playing like that against a half decent team we won’t get butt fucked without even a cuddle!! We were poor today mate. Or do you think our defence and midfield we the best you have ever seen?

  65. Marq says:

Just heard Rvp has now scored 52 goals in his last 58 games? That is Messi & Ronaldo’s league!

  66. Costas says:

Nice. Piers Morgan on suicide watch.

    @Colbert and Marq

Well said guys. Bought ourselves some time, but we have a lot of improving to do. All over the pitch.

  67. Eric keane says:

    Oh robin van perfect.
Also today shall be known as nani day for all united fans. This is the first time he beat his man from a corner..
Should mention this though. Please axe evra.

  68. fergie is the boss says:

Georgejoseph – no, it was the impact and the pace of nani and hernandez, and if RVP did not fuck up the penalty we may have won allot easier, instead of doing it late. Also give credit to the service of nani and valencia who assited RVP’s 1st and 3rd goals

  69. fergie is the boss says:

also nani was the reason why we also won a penalty, so it was not all RVP

  70. WeAreUnited says:

I thought our wing play was shit, somehow, valencia young or nani are all out of form.

We need to sort that”! then our midfield seems a bit scared of opponents! but we will sort that!

    and finally, YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS, wow

I mean, when I meet a United supporter, I just stare at him and we have that respect, because we share these same emotions through the games, and that’s why we shoul understand and respect each other more.

    YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS

  71. zelh says:

Beside van persie all alarmbells should be ringing.

  72. WeAreUnited says:

    PS:

WHO SAID, that chicharito has no technique???? did you see what he did??

    wow outstanding.

  73. 3redstars says:

We missed the boat on Dembele.

  74. Unitedforeva says:

I have to say this, it was a good buy by Sir Alex for RVP. Now let’s get a mid-fielder.

  75. Utd4life says:

Shite performance but a great result. Hope the lads pull up their socks and give a much more inspired performance from now on.

  76. Arthur "Two Sheds" Jackson says:

“Lambert going off changed the game for us, not Scholes coming on”

    @Marq

Disagree, Marq. What happened as soon as he came on? Beautiful through ball for van Persie, that’s what? Scholes, Nani, and Chico, as others have pointed out, were fantastic for us today.

  77. Eric keane says:

Well i hope we dont start welbeck on the wing again. We need the natural width.

  78. Zibbie says:

AWESOME WIN AND 3 FUCKING POINTS!!!!

  79. 3redstars says:

    I hope Buttner can play.

  80. Zibbie says:

Hey this RVP guy can play!

  81. Strik3rr says:

Heard them say it was his 100th EPL goal (the hattrick one). If so great way to do it.

  82. WeAreUnited says:

    yeah,

first Scholes changed our pace then Nani and Chicha,

Scholesy was scholesy, Nani paley ok, but created a penaalty and assisted the winner, and Chicha was outstanding, great movement like alwasy and his touch was gold.

THAT GUY deserves to play next week, in the starting line-up, no matter what!

  83. Hans says:

Wooooow, we nearly threw the season away.

I hope this will serve as a final waning. We somehow got out of the jail, but this is simply not good enough. Fucking Southampton was plying division one football just over a year ago, and they dominated us today.

What is more worrying is our complacency, lack of urgency and desire. Our play is too slow. Also, we are not closing the opposition quickly enough.

Still not convinced Cleverly and Wellbeck are true United class.

Nevertheless, three points are very welcome and hopefully this will mark the turning point of our season.

  84. Dev says:

    We can’t play 5 midfielders.

If this goes on, it’ll be the Ronaldo / Rooney / Berbatov / Tevez debacle again on how to shoehorn so much attacking talent into 11 places.

We were at our best once we reverted to 4-4-2.

If we revert back to a standard 4-4-2, the biggest casualty will be Kagawa, unless he somehow adapts to playing deep like Anderson did.

  85. Proverb says:

Tom Cleverley with 94% passing today in a team that really struggled to keep the ball (despite having 88% pass success). Impressive.

  86. Eric keane says:

Clevery had a 94% pass completion rate in a team that struggled to keep the ball. And he is shit. Yeah. Right.

  87. Kelvin says:

    Oz
No smart arsed comments now eh lad?

  88. Proverb says:

Robin van Persie: “I don’t know what I was thinking with the penalty. I was going to hit it hard but at the last second I changed my mind.”

  89. AlphaRS says:

All this complaining about the midfield…! Lolz.

All SAF needs to do is find a formation and way of playing these players can thrive in.

  90. unitedfan says:

emotions subsided….that was another limp performance…cant even pick the problem coz their numerous…..kagawa,evra(as usual),carrick were a tad off pace…..i think if cleverley is going to be a mainstay for us,we need a destroyer/tackler in midfield to partner him

  91. Zappa says:

@Athur “two sheds” Jackson – still thinking of purchasing another one Arthur – to go with your epithet? Another game to scratch our heads about… Still musn’t grumble, eh?

  92. Proverb says:

    We’ll NEVER die.

Plastics who only want us when we winning is what we don’t deserve

    http://pic.twitter.com/ccGaajdd

  93. Arjunited says:

Cometh the hour, Cometh the Van. Unbelievable match going either way! RVP, he REALLY scores when he wants! Piss poor performance from us, though.

  94. Arthur "Two Sheds" Jackson says:

    @Zappa

Indeed. Still thinking about it. LOL

Come on! Let’s all Sheik Ourboutis at having signed RVP!!!

  95. Georgejoseph says:

You get what you pay for 24m for RVP equals class. We need a midfielder end off.

  96. Andooo says:

Too much tinkering is the problem, we were great against Fulham up until the subs of Rooney and Welbeck. WhY didn’t we just stick with the same team instead of changing the formation and team around so much, we are never going to play fluid, attractive football with so many changes weak in, week out.

Luckily RVP got us out of the mess I feel Fergie put us in today.

    4-2-3-1 stick with it!

  97. Andooo says:

Anybody got any news on Anderson btw?

Can’t get my head round his non inclusion, hoping he isn’t injured.

  98. dijev says:

RVP’s 100th PL goal in Sir Ferguson’s 1000th Game won it in ‘Fergie time’, somehow I fear the day he will be away.

  99. Telemachus says:

Our defence seems slow and rusty, our midfield seems unable to push the ball forward decently. As much as I love Utd late winners matches this one was so frustrating for more than a hour or so, during which the team looked like hypnotised. Superb class from RVP, what a start for him this season. Kagawa has great skill but he desperately needs to gain in strengh. Scholes, Chica and Nani gave the extra boost needed, but clearly our tactics and off the ball movement need a lot of work.

  100. samuel - united WE stand says:

The midfield gets brought up (everyone entitled to their opinions) but personally, we still don’t look solid as a defensive united and that’s actually the main issue. Understandably, a lot of the players have been out for a while and are just returning. Rio is just returning from a groin injury, vidic has been out for a near full season, with time he’ll return to his best. Rafael is still learning and will get better, importantly he has a manager that’ll give him time to nurture and not any knee-jerk reacting fan, evra will get displaced by buttner but he sure needs to buck up his ideas as he’s actually experienced.

All in all, southampton were always going to give us a fight. They ran city ragged at the etihad and they did the same to us today, especially at home, they want to pick up points for their fans.

We will get better, constructive criticsm and how we can improve is needed. One thing is certain, we have a fucking lethal deadly striker in VanPersie, just hope he rams home penalties than doing panenka next time.

The midfield will click in time, welbeck is not really a winger but he’ll do a job, negatives are there but last season, when we fell a goal behind, we lost. We have improved on that this season and more improvements is needed.

  101. Zafarul Asyraf says:

i just couldn’t believed that we didn’t sign dembele ! our midfield was overrun until scholesy came n run the show !!

  102. samuel - united WE stand says:

Telemachus – i did say we shouldn’t pile pressure on shinji kagawa, this is his first season and has to adapt. He’s a classy player and will make impacts this season but we also have to cherish our proven players in the premier league like Rooney and nani, they’re match winners and will take pressure off new players like kagawa.

  103. Capitano says:

i hate pple who are always wining when the game is going on, and after we win they disappear.

  104. Adamcy says:

What a game, our midfield was poor and we got overrun by 2 average teams. The introduction of Scholes. Chica and Nani changed d direction of d game. This are d kínd of moments dat makes u relish d joy of being a United fan, Rvp is class and finesse saved us yet again,

  105. samuel - united WE stand says:

We all have to realise that the premier league is harder than ever. We would all be living in dream world if we think we’ll dominate every game, it’s not going to happen. Southampton, fulham along with many will take scalps this season, the important thing is we match their efforts and fights.

  106. yustaq says:

Fergie should not bench harnandez again
He open their defence line with pace for RVP and others to come into the box.
When did fergie and crew going to get the fact that we can play explosive football in our midfield?
We can play kagawa, cleverly and carrick at the same time!! we need strength and energy in that middle of the park which ando give us!
He fergie compulsory want to play carrick, don’t play clev is either ando-clev, ando-carrick or carrick -scoles.
Don’t bench hernandez for welbeck cos we have many players in the team who can play ball into the box, all we need is å scorer and we have chica!!! Play chicha-RVP. A̶̲̥̅̊₪d̶̲̥̅̊ welbeck as sub

  107. FletchTHEMAN says:

Great fighting spirit from the team. And Nani, finally delivers a decent corner!

Happy 1000th League match for Fergie. Hat trick from his marque signing!

  108. JC says:

Andooo – you can’t really?? It’s pretty easy for everyone else to figure out.

  109. iDon says:

    Did you know?

RvN debut against Fulham – first goal
RvN second game – hat trick

RvP “90′ debut” against Fulham – first goal
RvP second game – hat trick

the history is repeating itself …

  110. mara says:

what i dont understand…is why he didnt get a chance to Pogba…guy said truth, he didnt give him enough chances…and that is the player we need. Martinez cost 40 mils….and we had a player that was big prospect..now if we want real player…it is gonna cost us 30 mils….and big wages…i would give that bastard Pogba 20 k week…
The fact that SAF gave him to play even if he wasnt sure he is gonna sign shows SAF wanted him…but didnt gave him enough to play…

  111. mara says:

    @ Dev
that is why we have no use to buy playmaker…that happend with Veron…he played to deep. We would have to change the way we play. So i m little bit scared for kagawa…where he will play?

  112. mara says:

sometimes…i think that we need all new players in middle except wingers and kagawa…
Atletico Madrid and Bilbao have good middfield players…i dont get it why we dont buy someone…or that guy Eriksen…Barca, Citeh, Chelski, RM…PSG…they bought what they needed…now it is our turn…why we always wait until it became impossible, and expensive??????

  113. hurr says:

He almost kissed the badge after the third goal ;)

  114. Build a Bonfire says says:

some of the fucking comments on here during the game were embarrassing. The team needs support, yet some of you, sorry most of you during that 30 minute spell we were losing ripped into them.

Save it till after the match, and if players performed badly then stick it to them if that’s ur style.

If any of you have followed united for years, then you’ll know it’s not over till the whistle go’s for us.

Only 3 games in, 3 different line up’s in defence. Player’s will need time to settle again, your an eedjit if u think otherwise. Season’s have gone by in which we have gained less points in 3 matches yet still won the league.

basically, have a word with yourself !

    Burn the fuking lot

  115. The One says:

Samuel – united WE stand, absolutely agree with your perspective pal, unlike so many glory hunters on here with their knee-jerk reaction!!!

  116. The One says:

Build a Bonfire, well said too pal!

I’m really sick and tired of all this moaning and all these armchair managers who come on here and say we should sign this or that player, or we have missed out on this or that player, or SAF should play this or that player, or he should drop this or that player. The man has manager Man United for 28 years now, won loads of trophies and yet some of you clowns think you know better!!!

  117. The One says:

I know you clowns are going to say you’re entitled to your opinions, right?

Well, let me point this out; an opinion is a point of view that is well considered, based on the balance of all evidence, carefully weighed or analysed and not something borne out of highly charged emotions, which is the case with many a post here!!

  118. The One says:

Anyway, I thought the header at the end was really excellent, for me, even better than his 1st goal.

  119. redbilly says:

i just love SAF celebration at the end.

So , is htis man a goal making machine or not. Good aquisition?. yes.

Looks great in the shirt too.
