I literally just found this out. Came on here to spead the word but what do you know, Scott got there first.
nice 2goal!
Was quite strong holding off the big central defender for the first. Thanks for the video.
More of the same please Zoran.. in a red shirt.
Good performance, just hope he carries it on, we’ll need him to be counted this season!
good lad
anyone have a tosic chant
Come on guys, he was playing against the rinky dink South Africa lol. I will applaud him IF and its a bif IF he can do it against the top teams. I have followed Tosic in the reserves, and I am not overly impressed as I am about some of our other excellent reserv e players.
Well done lad. For a small fellow he can sure battle for the ball. I think he’s improved a lot in that aspect since joining United, bulked up a bit.
I hope to see him get more chances for us.
Im sure Sir Alex will Once again show the world united is a superstar making machine. Im already looking forward to see Real Mad-gits throwing all their toys out of their tram and cry for our brand new action figures! Scott, why don’t you start a poll where we all choose which player is going to be next Star that Franco’s boys would die to sign?
evans injured..not good..vidic still not fit
Well done Zoran lad.
Off topic, just have a look at some of the comments from United “fans” on the Manchester Evening News. Especially Nick Brown who says “bring on Jose or Moyes”. They are a fucking disgrace to the club. Glory seeking cunts. http://www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/sport/football/manchester_united/s/1131159_reds_set_for_442
Jack – Evans isn’t injured is he? I heard that Armstrong has allowed him to come back to Manchester to be fit for Sunday. It says he granted Sir Alex’s wish that he didn’t risk his ankle I think. He should be fine.
@Isaidso
Shut up man! give the guy credit where its due. Its OK to think he’s not good enough or whatever, but he did well in this game to score them goals, at least you can give the kid credit for that
both were very good goals which – to tell u truth – surprised me positively cause he had to work quite hard in both situations & was succesful. So far I was sceptic to make it at us but he seems to be working on his game all over …
Besides – two diff. feet goals & both against more then 1 defender!!! Well done lad, u´ve just surprised me & I hope u will do it when it really matters = FOR UNITED! GOOD LUCK ZORAN
Don’t mess with the Zoran
Good goals they were.
Park scores to beat paraguay 1-0
King Eric – yeah got sent home i think
ChaosRed: That would be AS Monaco striker Park Chu-Young, not our Three Lungs
Who was the other Serbian – #8 ? His goal wasn’t too shabby !
@denton – it was a corker, wasn’t it! Tosic looks good, bulked up and ready to do the stuff next season. we might just get loads from our midfield next season.
Well done lad!! But you are going to be pressed a lot harder when you have the ball in the premier league. Not convinced by him yet. He looks like he just lacks a little edge to his game. Decent player though and you never know, he might improve a lot suddenly. I remember thinking the same of Fletch. Didn’t he prove his doubters wrong?
Good on yer Zoran, keep it up lad.
Danko Lazović. 8 goals in 27 appearances for PSV last season
Tony Starks – grow up mate! You can’t tell everyone who has a different opinion to you to shut up. This blog is so bloody boring – everyone has to say how great every United player is, even when we have watched them continuously in the reserves, and can rightly assess there performance. I didn’t say that Tosic didn’t do okay in this game, I just said bearing in mind the opposition, I would rather wait until Tosic can perform in the bigger games. S Africa are hardly top class opposition. But hey – you just go on being one of the YES MEN eh Mr Starks. Sheep! I follow Man United, and I care about CLASS PLAYERS, and if Tosic turns out to be one of them I will apologise to you, but I don’t think I will be needing to do that!
@ Isaidso
I fully agree mate. We may disagree about certain things but everyone definitely has the right to their own opinions. I think your view on Tosic is absolutely correct. He HASN’T done enough yet to prove himself, has he? But maybe mate if you could add in a little bit about how you hope he comes good, that would take the sting out of it. After all, he is a United player and as United fans we support him and want him to do his best. I guess what you faced was an over-reaction which some posters are going through after becoming tired of defending Berbatov and Sir Alex against some so-called fans here. I don’t think anyone here would have a problem with someone disagreeing but if it’s almost like you WANT them to fail, then it’s a little hard to not call you a muppet. Get what I mean?
well isaidso
yes u can have ur opinions.. but tosic has hardly played in ‘many’ big games now has he??.. wen vidic arrived.. he werent as solid as he is now.. lets give him time.. hes working hard to try and bulk up so lets give him credit
they were both good goals.. and the reserve games ive bin watched.. hes looked a threat.. running at defenders and providing deadly crosses
he’l stil young btw.. when ronaldo signed.. he wasnt ‘that good’.. but he improved under fergie and now look at him.. just wait for tosic
he is going to be a great signing for us.. new superstar i hope!!
@ChaosRed
it wasnt our Park….
Nice goals by Zoran, the boy got massive potential.
I love how calm he is finding the space to slot in the second one.
It were good goals. tosic should be given more games in united this season.
my saying is he would be the next star.
@isaidso
man i respect ur opinion but u sill cant say that he wont be a good player.
i dont know how u said that he has hardly played for united. u cant assess a
player until he has played atleast 10 – 15 games for their club. and moreover he isnt a englishmen he is from serbia so he needs some time but i am sure he will shine.
i have great hopes for tosic.he wil get more games.hope he can make them count.rio made a shocking error yesterday.very unusual of him..may be pre season rustiness
RSA gave Spain a very tough game in the Confed Cup. They aren’t the greatest but, are not exactly push overs either.
You are telling me that composure he showed for both goals isn’t outstanding regardless of it being RSA?
The first he’s keeping his cool as the big defender is all over him. Second he’s got several defenders around him and takes his time and scores. Can understand if you want to try dampen cheer for everyone trying to pump up every positive action done by a United player but, Zoran’s goals in this case deserve praise.
Did Nani play any part for Portugal last night?
super 2nd goal
@de_roiste
Nani came on as a sub in the 73rd min.played for nearly 20 mns.thats good news.
Thanks AIG.. Good news indeed!
So… How will we line up on Sat?
Foster
O’Shea Rio Evans Evra
Valencia Carrick Fletcher Nani
Berba Rooney
Evans, Foster and Nani are, by no means, certain to start.
Sunday even…
@de_roiste
most welcome mate.
Looks like evans was injured yesterday.evans quit the Ireland team and came back to United because he had an ankle injury.foster wnt be fit in my opinion.
so my team is
kusczak
rafael,rio,o shea,evra
valencia, carrick,fletch,park
Berba,rooney.
Hmm… Thankfully it’s Birmingham this weekend. Rafael is still injured though. I expect you meant Fabio. Evans trained on Mon and Tue, but woke up on Sat with a stiff ankle. Doesn’t sound too serious. Seemingly, Ray Clemence expects Foster to play at the weekend (talksport).
Regardless, I think I need to make some changes to my fantasy football team!
@de_roiste
i read somewhere that rafael should recover,but if not evans may have to play through the pain barrier or fletch may have to play as an emergency RB.foster or kusczak,i personally dont rate them too highly and we need another keeper.
read that we are intrested in German keeper Manuel Neuer who plays for Schalk.He is just 23 and has played very well wid them.
@AIG.. Yeah, I read that too. The keepers name is Manuel Neuer. Plays for Schalke. A fee of 25m was quoted by the club!! Pricey!
Foster and Kusczak are too prone to error I think. They might prove me wrong but I haven’t seen anything to change my mind yet.
yup
manuel neuer.we are ready to pay 5 million acc to the sun.bayern Munich too are intrested.i dont believe it because all that the Sun newspaper says is bullshit.
here’s a glimpse of what we may see
http://www.imscouting.com/global_news_item.aspx?id=2818
Can’t wait for the game!
I will be travelling unfortunately so wouldn’t be able to catch it!
Anyway, Tosic’s second goal was very impressive. Good acceleration, and turned very well, very good signs. If he bulks up a bit, he could easily surpass Ribery/Messi, etc. He definitely has the pace and the skills.
Good to hear about the Nani bit though. He is going to be stellar this season, I am very very sure. Can he be our Henry? The right footed player who plays on the left? He’s not got the same physique, but maybe he can make up for that with pace and skill. I can still see us play in a fluid 4-3-3 formation if Nani/Valencia come into their own. Rooney through the middle and Tosic on the right, which is where he likes to play though he is a lefty, Ando playing just behind Rooney with any two out of Fletch, Hargo and Carrick supporting him.
Morning guys. The Nani news are such a huge relief!
But the news about Evans are a bit of a concern. During the summer, i mentioned the need for us to get a defender. I see that we have depth, but many of our defenders have chronic injury issues: Neville, Brown, Evans(on his ankle), Rafael, Fabio and Rio. It seems that the only dependable ones are O’Shea, Vidic and Evra. If Evans doesn’t make it, we could see O’Shea partner Rio against Brum and fingers crossed that this injury plague ends here.
@Ash – mate where did I say Tosic wouldn’t be a good player? I said that I would wait and reserve judgement until he has played against better class opposition. I see nothing wrong with that, and yes I have watched him play a lot for our reserves, and I am not overly impressed so far. But TO SATIFY ALL YOU PLEASE BE NICE TO EVERY PLAYER IN OUR RED SHIRT PARTY LINERS, and ‘your not a United fans’ if you ever criticise merchants, then ‘Oh my Tosic scored two brilliant goals, AGAINST the MIGHT South Africans, he is a genious, he is magic, he is the greatest thing since fucking sliced bread. That do you all then?
spot on Costas. we need defensive back up. hopefully Browny returns to full fitness and injury free soon.i feel Rio cant play 2 matches a week for a long period.we definitely need to be rotating our defenders. should we not buy back Ryan Shawcross as cover considering his experience in the league ?
costas
good morning mate
yup.these injury crisis are a big worry.i just hope that we have a full strength squad to choose from wen Arsenal come to OT on 29th.fletcher may haveto play as a make shift RB on Sunday.hope that does not happen though.
Wazza i think Shawcross could be an option but we rarely bring playes back. Maybe SAF wants someone who is better with the ball at their feet. At least Brown and Foster appear to be fit.
AIG i don’t think we will resort to that. I think Fergie would rather give the right back spot to Fabio or De Laet. Both did pretty well against Valencia. And if Brown is fit, i think he will slot in there. The other issue is that Vida could be fit for the Arsenal game, but he has had zero match practice the last 2 months.
@20 legend – thanks for your comment! I guess some folk (not you mate) read into post comments what they want. I said I would reserve my judgement until I saw the lad play against top class opposition. Even though I have watched him in our reserves muchly, and am not overly impressed. But again to satify the NAYSAYERS – I hope he makes it in the red shirt, and becomes A STAR, because that will obviously be great for Man United. I am not looking to see any of our players fail, but I am honest enough to call things as I see it. You wont find a post of mine on here, where I tell any of you that you can’t say how you honestly see things. Not that that is my preogative anyway, it is Scotts blog, and he does very well administrating things. We live in a democracy, so let people have their own opinions, even if they are an extreme difference to ours! Viva Man United, can’t wait to cheer the lads on from the terraces with other raucous reds against the Brummies!
He has talent, just needs to grow strong enough to ride the challenges and power of defenders in the premier league and am sure he’ll feature more often among the starting11
costas
Precisely that is my concern,Vida has no match practice and make look a bit rusty.Against Arsenal we cannot take such chances.I would play Evans and rio.Brown too has been injured for quite some time.so we have to stick wid o shea.However the schedule is a bit tight so we need to rotate the squad.fabio da Laet ahve to play some games and we dont have cover at centre back.think we play 2 games in 6 days from sunday to next week.
sorry,i meant 3 games.Birmingham,Burnley and Wigan before arsenal
I didn’t notice that they stuck us in a 3 game in 6 days situation straight away! Same crap they pulled last season. I think Fergie will rotate in general. Players need games, but they can’t play 3 games in 6 days at this stage of the season.
the worst part is that after Birmingham at home we have 2 straight away games at burnley and Wigan.
The schedule is complete rubbish when you look at other leagues.they are starting 2 weeks later and do not have an overload of games in christmas PL teams have too.
And instead of cutting the league down to 18 teams, they are thinking about a 39th game overseas. Genius….
Schalke coach felix Magath claims Manchester United are keeping tabs on highly rated Gk Manuel Neuer.
Fergie Plzz sign him up.he is class.

@Isaidso
I consider all Reds as part of a family. So when a family member tells another to ‘shut up’, it is meant in a light hearted way, not in a nasty way. Sorry if you took offense at that.
I was just pointing out that this post was about Tosic scoring 2 goals for Serbia, and that he at least deserved credit for that, regardless of how he has done for us. I too have followed him in the reserves and have been far from impressed so far.
Anyway hope that’s cleared that up.
Appeal to SAF.
I am a great Manchester United fan in Nigeria. I want to appeal to SAF to reconsider his stance on signing a top striker this summer. It is not in doubt that we (United) parade a cream of good strikers in Rooney, Berba, Tosic, Macheda and Welbeck. However, know assuredly that only Roo and Berba can stand their own in REAL big time competition. Others are only upcoming. SAF should remember the vulnerability of Rooney to collect RED card in any season. He is not injury proof too. Berba is still trying to find his footing.
I also appeal to SAF to seal the Shalkar keeper deal before someone else does so that we do not come lammenting over him again
Bye
Segun Adio
Nigeria
@TonyStarks – Ok mate that’s cool. I see where you are coming from. I hope I will be allowed the freedom on this blog to just be honest in how I see things, even though they may be VERY different to others opinions. That’s fandom! I can assure you Tony, I am not deliberately trying to be hostile or wind up fellow Man United fans. But like I said, I got where you are coming from now – so thanks mate!
Evans will be fine for Sunday. It was just a precaution to send him home and rest him for the start of the league.
Meanwhile Skirtl reckons if the league was just the top 4 the dippers would win it!! Well its not you idiot there are 38 teams and that is why you DON’T win it.
Costas, I thought that 39th game (according to the English FA) had been a non starter, and was considered to be impossible!
@aigalexisgod – Mate it doesn’t matter about Wes Brown being brought straight back into the team after injury. He came back at Hull last season, was immediately the mainstay of our defence, and WAS AS ALWAYS IMMENSE. Wes is the type who can come back and seem to hit his game straight away. Vida I am not sure, because he is never really been out much, has he?
Morning KIng Eric! Maybe Skrtl would like it if we gave them the trophy right now? A stat by me: The last time we beat Arsenal and Liverpool home and away, was the last season we didn’t pick up any trophies.
@Isaidso: Yeah i know mate. I was just saying that instead of looking to trim the schedule down, they had their minds on other impossible concepts.
@King Eric
The reason why united win the league is bcoz we get the results against the lesser teams.we convert the frustrating 0-0 draws inti 1-0 wins.thats what makes us champions.
so this bald headed asshole shud keep his predictions to himself.if that is the case we wud have won it in 2007-08 wen we wanked the dippers at OT and anfield and only lost once against rentboys.
The LivePOO want Ryan Shawcross, and have approached Stoke to see if he’s available. Who can blame them, Shawcross is a great defender and had a stalwart of a season for Stoke. I hate the scousers obviously, so hope Shawcross doesn’t cross the divide!
@Isaidso
Agree mate but you cant take too many chances.that was Hull,this is Arsenal.let me be clear i m nt doubting Wes,he is immense for us,but the rustiness is there in any player wen he comes back after playing missing some games and vida has not playerd for over 2 months
look at Rio yesterday.he made an shocking error.made a few poor backpasses and did not look 100% so it may take some time for vida and Brown to get back to their absolute best
Brown did play a bit in pre season so he is not that far behind on match practice. Brum give him a good chance to get some more. I don’t know what we should do with Vida though? Play him against Arsenal? Look at how that backfired when we played Rio against Barca.
costas
also how playing vidic backfired on that fatal night at san siro in 2007.so we should go wid evans.he is a good Cb and deserves his chances.he did well at the san siro last year and also against chelsea.so he has the ability to deliver good performances in the big games.i wud definitely back him.Vida can play as a sub or a game or 2 for the reserves.
brown did play a bit but i wud give him some more time so that he can cme in 100% and in good shape and touch.
http://www.newsnow.co.uk/A/363809368?-11193
new signing lads.
@willierednut
oh dear!we are not endearing ourselves with other clubs with such signings.we have to be more careful in the future and pay the cluba good compensation.
any reason why we are specifically focusing on Italian youngsters?or is it only bcoz we can do so due to the loophole in their contracts.
In regards to Tosic. I think his technical ability is not in question, he is fast, can dribble and can finish. Also, he’s probably one of the best at set pieces in the United squad. His only downside is his build, if that can be improved then there is no reason he can’t be a good player for United.
The Neuer story interests me, he’s a quality shot stopper but then, so is Kuszczak. Does anyone know of his aerial ability? At 23 he certainly has potential and its not as though Foster has covered himself in glory recently…
Also, apparently we have ‘poached’ another youngster from Italy. Michele Fornasier, a defender from Fiorentina. It seems Fiorentina are pissed and are going to complain to UEFA and report us.
It seems easier to sign italian kids than english kids at the minute, if its legal then why not.
@ AIG
It’s because we can expliot the loop hole. Italian clubs can moan all they want but the changes need to be made to THEIR LAWS to stop this happening.
UEFA won’t do anything, and neither will FIFA…
@joero
Agree mate.it is not our fault.if you have the chance,why not take advantage of it.we should sign a few more promising ones :p
@aigalexisgod – the reason Rio and Barry gifted Holland their goals is because of one thing – the OBSESSION by defenders and MF’s in PASSING THE BALL BACK to the GK all the feckin time! Used to be a time when Rio and other players were renowned for being able to play their way out by good footballing ability. I know Rio has not lost that ability, so WHY this constant BORING backpassing to GK’s all the time? GK’s are more and more put under pressure by balls passed back to them that fall short far too often – total lunacy.
By the way, I would wager that more shots are passed backwards to GK’s than shots are made on scoring goals lol!
Zoran looks to be more comfortable in a central role. this was my first impression when i first saw his videos. a more ronaldo like approach. i think we should not expect many good crosses from him. he can be played on the right flank just like messi but that trick mostly works in a 433 formation and i dont see us doing that this season.
