That Herrera pass to Chicarito in the buildup of 1st goal says it all about a quality No. 8 Herrera is. I love this 3-4-1-2 formation with wing backs as specialists and basically a possession based football focused on triangular circulation of the ball. Let’s be honest it was typical premiere league type high tempo game Vs Liverpool and our passing wasn’t upto the mark but we are getting there.

What we need DESPERATELY is a world class no. 6 in centre midfield in the ilk of Strootman and/or Vidal. Vidal preferably!

We also need 2 good and reliable centre backs who are comfortable with the ball.

The amazing thing about this formation is when we have to defend it looks like we are parking the bus. It gives that rigidity. And, when we attack, it looks like complete domination with our 3 centre backs in the half way line. It’s just wonderful.

Also, any player comfortable with the ball can easily find player unmarked to keep up with passing.

I found that Argentina in 1986 Worldcup were first to use this formation to get the best out of Maradona as No. 10.

Mata is no way Maradona but he is destined to make Jose Mourinho regret this season for sure. We still have Kagawa and Janujaz available for that position. We have riches in front 3 to attack. We must however sort out No.6 position and add two more defenders for back 3.

Great fucking result, dont care if its a friendly or not, we were shit first half except Young who could have had 2 assists, sods law that he never and chico got one when it was Chico who messed up Youngs assists lol, All our goals were well worked, brilliant finish from Lingard, also thank fuck that Rooney goal was disalowed otherwise we would have had another 20 odd years of a justice campaign, I liked Jones passion on our 2nd goal, thats what I like to see and Young kept bombing forward even as the 90th minute approached, I initially thought their goal was a pen (Even Paddy Crerand thought so) but after watching the video I think Jones got a nick of the ball I thought the players reaction was odd as it originally looked a stone wall pen.
