Manchester United’s successful pre-season continued with a 1-0 win over Antonio Conte’s Inter Milan on Saturday afternoon. Mason Greenwood scored the only goal after coming on in the second half, putting away a brilliant effort that was Robin van Persie-esque.
United played good attacking football, with new signing Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Paul Pogba two other stand out performers.
Tahith Chong also made a big impact after coming on, with his cross to Greenwood hitting the crossbar, and a few Inter players picking up yellow cards after being unable to deal with his pace.
After the 4-0 win over Leeds, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer claimed that Greenwood may get the opportunity to play against Chelsea on the opening day of the season. He certainly didn’t do his chances of that any harm against Inter!
