Last week, I wrote an article about our FA Cup draw with Villa, and why it was actually a rather positive thing for the team. It now appears as though United shouldn’t be playing Villa at all, after eagle-eyed viewers spotted what could be a massive cock up by the FA.
It has been claimed that Sammy Nelson misread ’24′ for ’25′, and when he later read out ’25′, covered the ball so it was impossible to see the number. If this is the case, it should be Bristol City United are travelling to for the third round of the Cup, whilst Villa should be playing Middlesbrough at home.

The announcer was laughing when the guy read ’24′, as if to say, “You know that’s not 24″. But the best was the shifty eyes at the end. I play poker now and again, not great if I had to say so, but even I could read his ‘tell’. He obviously made a bg mistake on national television and then attempted to cover it up.
i think i’d rather have villa anyway, at least fergie would take it seriously and put out a reasonably strong team. bristol city away makes me think coventry all over again. not exactly surprised that we are the only ‘top 4′ team to get premiership opposition though
