Great first half apart from the jones injury

  2. FletchTHEMAN says:

Great first half. And great response from the team after alot of dodgy press over the last 2 days.
Good to see Danny doing so well. Should have been awarded a pen as well.

Imagine how much we would spend for a striker of Danny’s quality.
Gutted for Jones. Nasty blow from Dempsey and didn’t get a card.
Still kept it up for another 10 minutes including a crucial tackle in the box. What a player.

    United Protocol!

  3. NYDUDE says:

After reading Paul I am a cunt Merson’s prediction one would have thought United were going to struggle. Fuck the ABU’s as per usual

  4. anand says:

  5. Costas says:

Where are the quick reactions? :P

  6. zelh says:

Costas – No quick reactions as scott still tries to get the jizz out of his pants

  7. FletchTHEMAN says:

    EPL GOALS

    Giggs 19,999
    Albrighton 20,000

  8. Balaji Sivaraman says:

Pasting first half impressions from a previous thread:

    So, about that away form….

Anyways, let’s not get too ahead of ourselves. After all, the Fulham defense does have Philip Senderos in it…

Does Welbeck remind anyone else of Thierry Henry? I know he does with his running, striking and general play.

Nani is MOM for me. The dude’s running a freak show in the middle and is resembling Ronaldo more and more by the minute. It is like he has realized that I am that fucking good. I don’t have to showboat or try to prove it. I just am. Left, right, centre, he has been fucking awesome wherever he has been. Loving him more and more by the minute.

Ryan fucking Giggs. What more can you say about this man, nay superman… nay God… Any and all superlatives in the English language have been exhausted in describing him? I hereby request adding Ryan Giggs as an adjective for awesome in the English language. If enough of us persist, we just might succeed in our goal. A goal and an assist and teaching Ashley Young a lesson in mastery of the wing. Can we start giving whatever he is having to the Da Silva brothers? Giggs is the reason cloning should be legalized.

Jonesy. He made a brilliant tackle and then withdrew himself. I liked what I saw. It certainly showed his maturity. Some youngster might’ve continued playing out of enthusiasm but he drew where to draw a line. I don’t think it is anything serious, probably a mild concussion or something that made him feel groggy.

The only other black mark has been Ashley Young’s steadfast refusal to discover his lost abilities. I wouldn’t mind him trying to beat his man and failing. Because that would mean he is atleast trying. However, he isn’t doing that and it is getting on my nerves. He runs up to his man and stands there dancing with the defender. I mean, at least try to do something to beat the man. That is how you rediscover your form. Just ask Valencia.

    Anyways, a brilliant half overall.

  9. Costas says:

Hopefully Berba will see some action today. Come on UNited.

    @zelh

 I can tell he likes what he sees.

  18. Fred says:

Fulham “fan” on the BBC site: “I left the Cottage before half-time. One shot and 30-odd% possession. Flashbacks of Lawrie Sanchez’s reign. We were promised ‘attacking and fluid’ football. That I am yet to see. Martin Jol out.”

    FFS.

  19. FletchTHEMAN says:

    Andy Mitten reporting:

  33. zelh says:

horrific defending in the second half.

  34. MG says:

    James

I took care of him fucking idiot

He said Suarez never used the n word

You couldn’t make it up – So as I have gladly admitted I experimented using a racist term on him and of course it hurt him

How poetic or tragic but most assuringly hypocritical

Scousers will never take them for any intelligence whatsoever

The best bit was that he said I was racist and Suarez of course never was

Point proven the. Experiment worked

  35. FletchTHEMAN says:

Zelh. Apparently, that is sung to LFC song for Mr. Buck tooth

  58. James21 says:

    MG

And chipping at that Shitty goal diference. :)

  59. FletchTHEMAN says:

  68. MG says:

Another one – Costas fancy it?

Of the 20,000 plus goals in the premiership which team has scored the most after 90 min?

  69. Utd4life says:

2 gorgeous goals to finish off the match. Berba is a cool cat. I love you Mitko, I really do.

  73. MG says:

    DM

    You wouldn’t kick me mate

    Meow!

  74. FletchTHEMAN says:

    Just confirmed from press office:

Dimitar Berbatov is the 50th player to score 50 goals for Manchester United

    Quality outing for the lads

Goals from Nani, Danny, Rooney, and Berbatov.

  75. Fred says:

Wes Brown scored a last minute winner for Sunderland. 8)

  76. Dave Malaysia says:

@smartalex: no tuak now, enjoying a saucer of milk! care to join me and @MG?

  77. Doghouse says:

    Berbatov is God.

  78. James21 says:

    fred
Wasn’t too sure just remember the Ronaldo goal, fantastic.

    Wigan Wigan Wigan. :D

  79. Costas says:

Sorry for the delay. I had to clean myself up after the latest Berbagasm…

    What a lazy flop…

    @MG

Last time we won there in the league was 2008. 3-0. Last time we won there in any competition was 2009. 4-0. We just went one better.

  80. MG says:

Dalglish will now blame Manchester United for Liverpools pathetic performance today

Of course he will blame Negrito Evra for the penalty miss

jarvis will be given honorary Anfailed membership for his duty today on the ROM

  81. MrKirie says:

Johnson has Lindegaard as his fantasy keeper.

    Excellent game, Nani was incredible!

Shame with Jones and Young, anyone know if it’s bad for Jones? His face looked purple and swollen when he walked off

  82. eplfan says:

any comments on the lindegaard’s distribution tonight? i didnt catch the whole game

  83. Balaji Sivaraman says:

Any odds on the headlines being about United tomorrow? Nah…. I didn’t think so. Not when the mighty Manchester City beat Stoke City 3-0 at home.

Anyways, the final five minutes had two orgasms. One courtesy Rooney with a brilliant strike. See what happens when you don’t try to fucking chip, Wayne? The second was of course the famous Berbagasm which most of us have had in the past.

In a matter of weeks, the goal difference should be non-existent. The question is not whether Manchester United can keep up with Manchester City. It should be, “Can Manchester City weather the incoming storm in the form of Manchester fucking United?”

  84. zelh says:

fletchtheman – what about giggsy? ;)

  85. Dave Malaysia says:

Ok , if we look at the results today , the most important thing is our victory, brilliant, and the scoreline helps us with the goal difference.

Only wigan drawing pool helps us. both arse n shitty won, dammit

  86. Costas says:

    @Fletch

Ah, you beat me to that stat. Indeed Berba reached the 50 goal mark.

And Rooney caught Giggs with 162 goals again. Some competition between those two!

  87. slim says:

what a game, i thought Welbeck was very very good. But what about Rooney’s strike, thats more like it wayne, And Dimitar what a goal, the cheek of it, amazing, what a player. The thought of seeing Jones,Danny, Nani,Ravel,Pogba/Tunni ,Fryers gets the juices flowing. Evans and Anders were strong at the back, particularly impressed a bit with Johnny
Argued against 2 in the middle but Fergie’s determined. i hope it works out because if it does it could be fantastic if it did

  88. Fred says:

Dempsey you shithouse. I used to like him, but no longer.

  89. MG says:

Milk – it’s universally cultural

Costas don’t forget about who has scored most of the 20,000 goals after 90 min ;)

I wonder who it could be though – no can’t think

  90. Dave Malaysia says:

@Costas: brilliant stat that. where did u find it?

  91. dannysoya says:

Shitty on top of the lge at christmas for the first time since 1929.
interesting fact about 1929 the stock market CRASHED in 1929. Uh oh bad omen for shitty.

  92. The Truth says:

Lovely goals, and excluding the first 40 odd mintues of the second half, we played some great football. Can’t really criticize the performance, terrific stuff. However, can’t help but feel sorry for Dempsey. He is a really good player stuck in a shit team with an awful striker. Lost count of the number of times he passed the ball to Johnson- who missed everytime- luckily for us. BUT, do not appreciate his challenge on our boy Jones. :( Heard some talks about 6 weeks, I hope thats not the case.

Giggs is inhuman. Berba is cool. All is good. :)

  93. Utd4life says:

Any news on Phil Jones?? Unconfirmed reports coming in that he is out for SIX weeks.

  94. Costas says:

Needs to be said, the team took the foot of the gas in the 2nd half and a more accurate team might have made this a scrap for us. No room for complacency from now on.

Although I have to admit that the Anders Lindegaard show was fun to watch. 8)

  95. JC says:

Yeah Fred unfortunately I agree with you, the more I’ve seen that replay the more I think he deliberately led with his elbow in order to hammer anyone coming up to challenge the header. He clearly holds his bent arm straight out, elbow cocked to deliver a blow. Dirty and not what I’d expect from him.

  96. ironbrand says:

Berbagasm!!! Please anyone bring on the Berba arguments again. We have seen belters but sublime and silky is what we get from the silky bulgarian. Shirt being pulled and all but presence of mind to still make me cum from that goal! We luv u, Berbatov!!!

  97. Costas says:

    @MG

Would that be UNited? It’s hard to tell.

    @Dave

Oh I just have a good memory, lol. Those two are fighting it out to see who will be the top scorer in the Fergie era.

  98. Dave Malaysia says:

@dannysoya: interesting stat, who won that year?

  99. slim says:

another thing to be impressed and proud about is the away record. Shame about the injuries though

  100. Utd4life says:

Nani was the MOM without a shadow of a doubt. He was playing like as if he was possessed. Step up Nani, it’s your time to shine.

  101. FletchTHEMAN says:

    Goals: Welbeck(5) Nani(28) Giggs(43) Rooney(88) Berbatov(90)

Giggs has now scored in 22 consecutive seasons.
    Berbatov scores 50th United Goal

    Well Done United.
Very convincing outing for the lads. Fulham, thanks for showing up mates….well sort of!

  102. MG says:

city beat Stoke playing like Barcelona

United were fortunate to beat Fulham as Fulham were absolute rubbish

Stoke gave everything in their play against city despite them not geting out of their half for about 30 of the 45 minutes in the first half

    Something like that no?

  103. five says:

Smalling was immense, we rode our luck sometimes with Johnson’s chances but that’s football for you, great win about time we aimed for the goal difference!.

Come on United! let’s get back to where we belong on top!

  104. Dave Malaysia says:

So ,u guys agree, Demsey raised his arm deliberately?

  105. Utd4life says:

Screw City. I just want see my team play this way for the rest of the season. And what is with the bloody injuries?

  106. Collyhurst Red says:

    Not bad I suppose! :-)

  107. Mikekelly12 says:

Dempsey’s always had a shadyness about him. Half decent but that wasn’t nice.

  108. FletchTHEMAN says:

    Costas.

Rooney just caught Giggs at 161 and now they are keeping pace on 162. May they push each other on the rest of the season as well.

So please with all the scorers. Maybe Danny especially because he has been working so hard.
Goal of the match has to go to WR10. What a corker!

  109. MG says:

    Jones will be fine

Get him to the mask makers – he’s not going to look English though for a while

Might be racially abused – oh dear what are we going to do?

  110. Costas says:

Such a shame we can’t have a fit natural right back. Today showed how immense Smalling can be at the heart of the defence.

    @Utf4Life

I sure as hell hope that’s not true. If it’s a fractured cheekbone or something he could always wear a mask?

  111. aimanunited says:

    I do like Lindegaard more…
cannot really complain about our defending in the 2nd half, we only have 3 natural defenders and valencia doesn’t do much defending.
Injury crisis is quite a problem now…

  112. Dave Malaysia says:

    Thank You God!

Wonderful win, worried about the injuries.

Hope the rest of today will be wonderful.

Ok ,go sleep now, its 6.10 am over here. long day ahead.

    take care guys.

  113. Maria says:

Watched this game with my husband… we Berbagasmed simultaneously!!!

  114. keanoisdaman says:

Check our the saurez thread on the redcafe, theyre callin anfield,KLANfield, mocked a great pic of suarez witt a kkk hat on touchin the this is klanfield sign….funny as fuck

  115. MG says:

Yes Man U always get away with the decisions fucking Munich cunts

Liverpool are Holier than Holy – whatever that is

  116. MG says:

    See you DM

    Sweet dreams ;)

  117. Costas says:

Fergie: Jones had an elbow to his jaw & will go for X-rays. He is a concern. Rio will be out next Monday & Young for 2-3 weeks.

Dear me, Rio just gets injured in his sleep now?

The team picks itself out against Wigan…

  118. JC says:

LOL @ KLanfield… as someone else said in the thread yesterday YNRAA – You’ll never racially abuse alone…

  119. Balaji Sivaraman says:

Dave, Cheers my friend. Nope, still a long way to go. Bought some gifts today but I’ve got one week left and I “always” do stuff in the last minute only. It is kinda my hallmark.

    Night devils!

  120. Costas says:

    @Maria

    Kinky! That’s the spirit.

  121. aimanunited says:

@Dave, I’ll return to Malaysia in two days, perhaps we can have a drink at mamak…

  122. Fred says:

    Maria

  123. Collyhurst Red says:

    Maria………. any pictures? :-)

  124. MG says:

    Night Balaji

We’l be fine guys – we have spirit – sometimes spirit alone is enough to get by

We can’t look back though – we’ve had our fair share of shit this season – but like I said injuries have cost us – mistakes too – but injuries are a tough one

    That still hasn’t sopped us

Carry on United you can only do it the United way.

    19

  125. MG says:

    Maria

    I don’t want to know

  126. MG says:

    typo

    stopped!

  127. soren says:

    Dave Meow ha ha
    James21 another goal of overvalued
    I’m happy for Berba
    See you boys

  128. Mikekelly12 says:

    once injury-oil city,
    stood a bloody fractured red,
Ref looked on, but just allowed it,
Another lad in the hospital bed!!

Enough with all these injuries already!!!

  129. Collyhurst Red says:

    Right, who’s next……….. Wigan…. 4-0 again anyone?

    ….. for a change :-)

  130. Costas says:

Some injuries you can do little about. For example Jones and Young. As for Rio, well I lift my hands up in despair there. Hopefully Tom and the twins are on their way back soon because Giggs can’t play every game.

My concern is how soon we will have these players back.

  131. Collyhurst Red says:

Sorry lads, and lassies, Rio’s injury must be my fault as I mentioned at work how well he was playing and how strong he looked :-(

  132. MG says:

    Can I also say:

If sometime shit happens to Manchester United regarding a player can we hope and pray that we never ever wear team t-shirts

    Utterly fucking immoral and disgusting

    Rant Over

  133. Utd4life says:

Given the injuries that we have at the moment, we should and will get past Wigan and Blackburn. Hopefully, some of the lads will be back by the time we face Newcastle.

  134. smartalex says:

Well done United! I burst into song when Berbatov iced our Christmas cake!

I was pleased to see United mindful of the seasonal fixture congestion and the strain it put’s on the player’s reserves. This doubtless was the main reason that at half-time three goals to the good we decided to ‘coast’ for half an hour, and improve the goal ratio when Fulham tired. It is more important at this stage of the festive season to get the points and move on, while conserving energy.

  135. Paul Parker says:

Lovely, and to top it off King Kenny has to commend a fantastic save from Wigan’s negro

Rooney’s returning to “purple patch” form! Shame it wasn’t a week or two sooner aye??? But better late than never, and now he’s scoring regularly again its always worth the wait. As usual im sure it means the best is yet to come from him. Glad Berbatov got a goal too, may not be playing but his season isn’t over yet. That was a really nice touch, as was Giggs getting his customary EPL goal, what a fucking record! Evans earning another clean sheet is class and will do wonders for the lads confidence, as he is United quality. Hopefully Jones, Young and Rio won’t be out too long, that aside its been a top night.

Could go on but lets get Wigan and Blackburn out the way. A few of us said after the 6-1 that this is what makes Champions, how you navigate the FUCKED UP TIMES, and im delighted to see this young side grind out back to back results AND performances.

  136. Collyhurst Red says:

btw anyone got possession stats for the first half, must have been about 80%

  137. WillieRedNut says:

Fergie said Rio will be ready for the Blackburn game. Next 2 games are at OT anyway. Should be able to cope. Young could’ve been worse. That was a nasty challenge. Jones is a concern. Hopefully it won’t be 6 weeks. We’ll get a United mask for him lol. Phantom of Old Trafford!

Great win for us. Was really worried about this one. First half was the best we’ve played all season imo. Totally outplayed Fulham. Had them chasing shadows. Glad to see Danny score again. His work rate, warranted a goal. Nani scoring with the heed! Lol. Giggs is just class. Bit of luck, but so what! Rooney didn’t have a great game, but that goal was top, top class. Swerved like mofo. Lets all do the Berba! Artists finish, that was. Brilliant night! ps Stoke caved in at the wastelands? Ah well.

  138. izzy says:

All the goals are important in terms of the way they’re scored and the scorers. Let’s hope its all smooth sailing from here on!

  139. izzy says:

nani man of the match no question!

  140. robbo says:

Great win, two good performances in a row, both away.

Looked like we were out of legs midway through second half or maybe just saving them for Boxing Day.

Dempsey raised the elbow delibrately! His other hand stayed down by his side. Normally when you jump both arms go together.
If that was Rooney doing that he it would be front page, and a 3 game ban for dangerous play.

Nani was amazing but lindegaard was incredible too, the saves he did were crucial and the legend giggs was also great last night with 2 assists and a goal(same as nani) but giggs deserves it more cause of the passes and shots he did despite his age!

Nani getting better and better. He’s improving so much that he plays so much accurately and dangerous ball in. Hes awesome. MOTM

Really a beautiful game. Couldn’t have asked better. Rooney’s goal was first class. Even Berba scored with a little show. Fulham really screwed their defenses on this one. Nearly all 5 goal scorers scored without getting marked. Nani was killing the defences.

But United is really packing on the injuries. Now it’s Jones and Young. I can really see Fulham playing rough in the 2nd half.

Thanks Smartalex. The irony is I live in london and was due to go to the match- birthday gift from the Mrs-. The old man was too ill to come down so I popped up to Manchester yesterday. What a Bloody scoreline to miss!. The day Im 60 i hope we play the bitters.

Couldn’t get onto the site for a few hours but I’m finally on. 4 great goals from Welbeck, Nani, Rooney and Berba; Rooney’s and Berba’s were quite special really! Giggs’ was a bit fortunate but you make your own luck, so I’ll take it anytime. Cheers lads, well played!!
