Came back with more experience and confidence and from the start of the season, he looked determined to nail down a starting position. Roy Keane was spot on about Ireland.
Fans spent tons to get there and the team could have defended better. It was flipping brutal watching the domination and being passed through with such penetration. Spain was playing and they had these guys called Xavi,Iniesta,Silva and Torres on the ptich. Trappa being a genius employed the great Keith Andrews, Glen Whelan, Dunne and St Ledger to keep them quiet with quick moving, rotational movement, putting the foot in literally and playing Spain at their own game.
At times when we did have the ball, we was being too cute and intricate, Duff was amazing, I rate Ward and Walters too for their hard work and McGeady was playing like Messi if not better like Ronaldo.
The game went off when Dunne, Given both made their mistakes, one kicked the ball to Torres to score and the other parried the ball right into the danger zone. Trappa stuck with the 4-4-1-1 and it worked for like a few minutes. On another day we would have won.
Sell Andrews,Given,Dunne…bring in Carrick, Amos and the Irish duo of Jonny Evans and Corry along with Rio who still uncapped for England and convert Wayne Rooney and we’ll be world beaters soon.

Did you guys notice neither Terry nor gerrard came to congratulate Danny for his goal (Correct me If I am wrong). I saw only walcott,Carrol,Young,Lescott and Ashley cole came and Hugged with danny. This shows the jealousy of gerrard and terry Cunt. Rio would have miles better than this shit terry. And honesty speaking no one likes him. For those who were slating Young, recently he’s played behind the striker in the absence of Wayne and he’s done so very well, so when he got shifted out on to the left again he obviously isn’t going to be as involved as he has been..
And as for Welbeck ‘getting lucky’ according to many of the Punters in the pub where i work, it is obvious he meant to do what he did and back heel it, it wasn’t a flukey miskick. It just shows how much confidence this lad has, playing at such a high level, coming to the end of a game for your country, to have the balls to try that, well… TBH when they were saying it was lucky it reminded me of when Sir Paul Scholes tried smashing one in with his right and completely missed it but it still went in of his standing leg!
