I was at that Coventry game in ’94! I remember the “K stand barmy army” song being sung on loop for pretty much the whole match….Can’t believe that’s nearly 20 years ago….

  2. Chris says:

The atmosphere went years ago when the day trippers started filling up OT :(

  3. FletchTHEMAN says:

Thatcher plan all along to sit everyone down and shut them up.
Took 20 years to wake people up that it’s killing the passion for the game among the 20 somethings.

Can we have a matchday blog please?!

  4. RoundAreWay says:

German football/ fans have woken them up, if you can’t guarantee success, you can “sell” United on atmosphere. I am glad they have finally started to turn the tide. Other fans might take the piss but plenty of other clubs will eventually follow suit. Genuinely think this is one of the best things to happen at the club for a long time. Might start fairly small but could build and build.

  5. Canada says:

It’s not just the day trippers.

All seaters, luxury boxes, expensive seating, and the cost of attending is killing the atmosphere.
