The rumours linking Nemanja Vidic with a move to Spain or Italy have mounted over recent weeks, with our defender and his agent repeatedly insisting that he is staying.
Yet again today, Vidic has promised his future to United, claiming his aim is to win the league again next season.
“I have got no desire to go anywhere,” said Vidic. “People forget that when you join a new league you don’t just have to adjust to the country, you also have to adjust to the style of football. I am very happy here and next season we will start again. I feel my game is well adjusted to England now and I want to play a part in a successful team next season. United can make it a record four titles in a row next year.”

It’s great news but I think Vida has some unfinished business to do. As much as I accept he fully deserved all the recognitiom he got last season… questions were raised about how he performs in the biggest games against the very best forwards. ( Liverpool at OT and Barca) Oh how I’d love him to take Torres out of both games agaimst the dippers next year! (preferrably legitemately!!)

I honestly can’t think of any. Ashley Young is ok, but he’s just ok in my opinion. He wouldn’t get a look in any of the top four. Other than that, I would say Daniel Sturridge is a good prospect, but apparently he’s a prat and already thinks he’s a Big time Charlie. Ummmmmmmmm then after that I’m left scratching my head. Mark Noble is a good player, but again, I don’t think he is worthy of a top four team.
I only ask because I don’t want our team to turn into nothing but foreign mercenaries. I like the fact that, of the top four, we almost always have the most englishmen/brits in our starting line up. And I want that to continue.

I agree. I say get Silva and Valencia.We need something fresh in our attacjking approach and those 2 could give it.Silva can also play as a second attacker.He has done it with Villa in the past and he can do it with Rooney here.
@costas, silva would be a good signing i think to, some of our attacking play became stiffled maybe because teams learned how to defend against us. we have had pretty much the same side for 3 years, freshening up there side will add desire to push again and move ahead of the dippers 19-18. love that
The question is where do we go after that. Say we get Valencia and Silva.That will take up approximately 42 million pounds of our 80 million budget. We will need the rest of the 38 million(assuming that SAF doesn’t have anymore money to spend) to get a striker and maybe a holding midfielder.But it is exciting times.No one will know what to expect from us,which after 3 years is very refreshing.
