Nemanja Vidic’s agent, Silvano Martina, has dismissed reports that our captain is looking for a move abroad.
“Vidic is not playing at this time because he’s had surgery, so he’s only thinking about his recovery and not about the transfer market,” Martina told itasportpress.it. “Juventus are complete with their non-EU players for this season and it is highly unlikely they will make a bid for Vidic, therefore I can categorically rule out any interest from them. Vidic is already part of a top club and there are no negotiations with Juventus or Barcelona.”

These rumours are nonsense. They’ve been going on for years. Vidic has said countless times he will be staying at United, as has his agent. Nothing more they can do than deny this rubbish. He signed a new contract a while ago, and the rumours stopped for a while – he was then made captain, and the rumours stopped for a while. Unlike certain previous players like Veron, Heinze, he has never moaned publicly about United and unlike Ronaldo has never publicly flirted with another club whilst playing for United. He has always denied this nonsense, both personally and through his agent. He is captain of possibly the biggest club in the world (at very least one of the top 3) so why look at downgrading at somewhere like Juve. It’s nonsense.
