Vidic’s agent: Rumours are “pub talk”

If there’s one agent you can guarantee to dismiss transfer rumours linking his client with a move away from Manchester United, it’s Silvano Martina. Nemanja Vidic’s agent constantly bats away stories in the paper suggesting that the player wants to leave.

Having been linked with AC Milan last week, Martina has told Italian newspaper Fantagazzetta that there is no truth to the rumours.

“We are talking with no-one. This is all pub talk,” he said. “This is the first time I heard that news and I don’t know where it came from. We’re talking about the captain of Manchester United here, not just any player. Vidic has no problems with United – all the talk is hot air.”

  1. Whiteside says:

In my opinion Bainesey would improve the first XI so it’s a worthwhile signing, and to me we only need one other signing as we’re more than sorted in terms of goalie, central defense, right back, strikers (if Wazza stays) , wingers (I personally don’t believe Valencia, Young and Nani can all be as bad as last year and I think Zaha ia quality too) so it’s just the question of the middle of the park. Carrick and Kags both quality of course but if we could find that elusive beast in the middle we’d be a different proposition.
