Whatever formation we start with – the lads have gotta more fight than against the Scousers, that’s for sure.
We used to be known for being able to play it pretty or getting stuck in, as required. Not so sure that’s the case any more…

I really wonder who’ll start.Berba or Owen.Most probably it’d be Berba, but bothe have their wonderful qualities.It’s a great problem to have though,and whoever starts, we have to step our game up.Everywhere i read, “I can’t see past a chelsea win this sunday”.”Manutd are weaker than last season” Annoyed.Seriously, this is the only website that gives me hapiness and solace.
I really hope we put together a wonderful performance.One that we can rave about.i’d like to see fletch and ando in the middle.I’m scratching my head over giggs.he played well against chelsea lasts season when playing in the middle.But i do think fletch and ando will be strong.or maybe fletch and scholes.
i wonder how i’ll be able to pull through 90 mins looking at the rentboyz faces.and their diving and wining antiques.urgh.

Although I am desperate for us to win on Sunday, I would not be too unhappy with a draw.

Fze123 – I see your logic mate, I really do BUT Rooney has to start. The game is made for him. Can see him bagging on Sunday. An off form Rooney can still be devasting. You only have to look at comments over the last few months that Lumpard and Terry have made. They are shit scared of the White Pele. I would bring Owen on if needed as he could have some great impact.

I reckon the formation will 4 5 1 with a lon striker up front. Maybe Rooney on his own up front or perhaps on the left wing. I think it will be safety first.

@ King Eric, I know it seems insane to suggest not to start Rooney but he isn’t having the form of his life at the moment, isn’t his fault, and I know that the birth of his child has probably relaxed him mentally and prepared him for stamford bridge. But Berbatov is playing very good and it’s guaranteed that if Owen starts he’ll get in many dangerous positions straight away and put one of the many chances he gets in the net. Owen is supposed to be the ‘impact’ player but as we have seen from the CSKA game when Rooney came on, he had a huge imapact and lifted the players, if he weren’t subbed on I don’t think we would have been able to draw 3-3. I just think that if Owen-Berbatov started together we could probably score early and kill the game, because as seen in recent games it’s taking us a long time to hit the net.

So if we’re not playing very well/conceded/haven’t scores after 30 minutes on sunday, Rooney can come on and change the game. I am not saying from now on Rooney shouldn’t start, just talking about this game only.
