In our penultimate fan preview, Chris Carra from Forza Swansea discusses all things Swansea. Follow @ForzaSwansea on Twitter.

Scott: How did you rate 2012-2013 for your club?

Chris: Last season couldn’t have gone better! It’s been hailed the best season in the club’s history and rightly so, with the club recording their highest ever league finish and winning the league cup. I don’t think Swans fans could believe their luck.

Scott: Who was your best player?

Chris: It’s difficult to answer this without sounding clichéd, but they all played their parts amazingly well. Ben Davies – a young Swansea born defender – had a brilliant debut season, Wayne Routledge developed well, Gerhard Tremmel gave Laudrup a selection headache in goals. There were plenty of contenders, but Michu clearly made the most notable impact with his goal scoring record.

Scott: Which player are you expecting most important in 2013-2014?

Chris: Again, all Swansea players need to be playing well for our style of play to be successful, but key will be up front. Despite Michu’s goals last season, the team struggled to score at times. It will be vital for Bony to start and continue scoring consistently from the first game (against Man United, which may be difficult)! So, Bony is probably the most important at the moment.

Scott: If you could take one United player, who would it be?

Chris: Van Persie is too obvious… I think I said Hernandez when I answered these questions last year and I’d probably go for him again. I just like his speed and his work rate.

Scott: Are you pleased Fergie’s retired?

Chris: I’m neither pleased nor disappointed. He was a great manager, and could have gone on for another few years maybe. But new managers spice things up and with the other top teams going through change it’ll make for an exciting season!

Scott: Where do you think your club will finish this season?

Chris: Top eight is my prediction. It depends how far the Swans go in the Europa League and other cups. Anything in the top ten and we’ll be happy again.

Scott: Where do you think United will finish?

Chris: It’s hard to call this season. With all the managerial changes there is no easy candidate this year. I’ll say top three as I think Man City and Chelsea will be more competitive this season. Can’t say who will grab top spot though!

Scott: What do you think of Cardiff’s promotion?

Chris: It was bound to happen sooner or later – they’d been trying long enough! In all fairness they did deserve to win the Championship last season. I can’t see them making much of an impact in the Premier League and are likely to go straight back down, but you never know. Either way, it’ll be good to see the South Wales derby played on the biggest stage! It’ll make the Manchester derby look like a friendly!

Scott: Where does Michu rank amongst the players you’ve seen play for your club?

Chris: Michu is definitely the best striker in recent years and, most Swans fans will agree, one of the best we have ever seen in a white shirt!
