86minutes of wayne rooney after ya cant be apart of english football for the last 8 months without seeing that the guy is one of not the best player in the world , he played 76 minutes in a inal at wembley and scored the winner 3 days before hand

It does infuriate me too but I see why they do it. They need to build their teams around these players so they need to know who can play best alongside them. I agree that Rooney didn’t need to be out there for 86minutes but I understand why he played him. If he had started with Crouch and Defoe then by the end you’d be no closer to knowing who to play alongside the white pele.

Just read that Rooney’s injury worsened after he played 86 minutes in the useless friendly in midweek and that he probably won’t start. Fergie is naturally fuming and he has every right to. Thanks a lot Capello!
