Clattenburg did not lose the plot; we know with whom his allegiance lies. So I wouldn’t look for him to protect our players.

Having said that, we should have brought the game to Bolton with more physical presence; something we lack in the team this season I feel. Only Hargo was keeping it tight and going in with tackles in the middle of the field.

Clattenburg has really lost the plot this season, hasnt he ? The trouble is when Arsenal pointed out that Kevin Davies is a thug in the guise of a footballer, the media thought we were just moaning. Letting these thugs get away with potentially career threatening tackles is a travesty. Bolton thugs should be sorted out by using straight reds – only then they will learn that football is played with … er football and not opposition players’ body parts.

It seemed at times Bolton had 12 men on the pitch. They did what they needed to do, foul us a lot and break up ANY rhythm that may develop into an actual match. I didn’t see one single advantage call. Play was stopped at every opportunity, with a distinct adavantage to the lesser side allowing them to set up and get behind the ball.

It seems to me that a ref can only let that happen a couple of times before they lose all credibility. You just should not, under any circumstances be allowed to to use fouls and free kicks as a tactical advantage THROUGHOUT the game. Maybe it’s just me but I think that is just common sense.

I do not often harp on refs, as from my own experience, it is a pretty thankless job. And you can always go on about that ‘ One ‘ call in the box that would have turned a game. Bu yesterday was just a joke!

Of paticular interest to me were all of the foul committed against us in our own half.

Certainly justified, as is so often the case. Probably a good thing Ronaldo didn’t play – no doubt he would have been targeted. I suspect Fergie wouldn’t have made quite that much of a fuss if we’d been winning, however.

He is not to far wrong,We do NOT get the protection as all the other teams get, If FIFA and Sapp Blatter did not hate Manu so much they would do something about it, But thats never going to happen NOT in my life time!!!!
