One thing about brown is that the season before last is the only season i can remember him being available most of the season.

If honest i think he has had more injuries thatn Michael Owen! When fit his is one of the best defenders in the league, although not as good going forward as the likes of Johnson and Gary Nevile for that matter! What i miss when Nevile is not playing is his Crossing! When match fit his crosses are at times as good as a wingers!

Anon – Bayern Munich, Boca Juniors and AC Milan. I actually agree with Gudjohnsen about Macheda. Reckon he will shine this season and develop into a “proper” star. Cannot wait to get started.

Cont — Which really surprised me because I would have thought that after his performance against Hull he would be considered one of the lads thats “on the bubble” as they say. Maybe not ready to be considered for first team action on the regular, but surely he cant be far off.

Anon — I asked that same question regarding De Laet the other day and some kind soul informed me that he in fact did not travel with the first team squad, but was left in England to play with Ole in the reserves.

Not too sure about Macheda mate. Guess I may be wrong, but i think one more season at least until he can become a regular in the squad…

Couldn’t agree more about Harg and Brown. And De Laet. Till Hrgreaves is fit I want De Laet to be Feltcherinho’s deputy…

question, Is De Laet in the Asia touring squad at the moment?
And who else is going to be playing in the Germany tournament (Audi Cup?) ?

Yup I agree, if both Brown and Hargo stay fit we’ll be gaining two new players this season. I also think we’ll gain another striker in Macheda just like Fergie said…

IF Wesley and OwenH can be fit for the big matches then it will truly be like getting two new players. They were both sorely-missed in the crunch last year.
